A friend of mine and myself had wanted to try some Pho so we decided to go here to this location. This was my first time ever having Pho. The server was very friendly from the time we walked into the place until the time we left out the door. She had answered our questions that we had about the different items on the menu. I had ended up getting chicken and shrimp which was really good. I love how once they bring it out you can add your own ingredients to it. The price of the pho was not bad at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was small being that it was a small business but I was okay with this.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It made the experience great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely come back here again.

This is the best pho in town. I'm definitely a regular here, and the quality is always consistent. I enjoy several other items on the menu as well--the avocado smoothie is really good and refreshing. I usually get pho, which is very filling, but I actually tried the Bun Bo Hue last time and it was great! Not really spicy like the description said but of course you can spice it up yourself. The meat was tender and the noodles are slightly thicker from the pho noodles but still great. Service is friendly overall no complaints there. Definitely would consider this place a hidden gem

It's been years since I ate here, and I'm glad I tried it again! The pho has so much flavor and it was served at the perfect temperature. Definitely kept me warm on a very cold day. The rice dish was alright and the peanut sauce that comes with the goi cuon had too much ginger flavor for me. Overall, good service and free parking too!

Love love love the pho from this very unassuming restaurant in Indianapolis. I used to live in the area and was recently visiting for a convention and could not miss an opportunity to stop into one of my favorite haunts. The service is quick. Pho Tasty had good reviews online, so I decided to try it and was not disappointed. The restaurant is a bit plain on the inside but very clean. The waiter was polite and attentive. I tried the bun ca-ri ga/veggie and opted for tofu. The soup was massive and was more than enough for two meals. The broth was tasty and a nice blend of flavors. The food inside was generous, but I wasn't a fan of what I think we're taro pieces as they were a bit too starchy. I think taro typically is anyway. Also had the taro tea which was ironically great. Overall, a nice Viatnamese place for a casual lunch or dinner.

I have had my eye on this place to try the Oxtail pho and it delivered!! I imagine all the varieties of the pho would be just as delicious. I also tried the Vietnamese ice coffee. It was tasty, but a bit strong for my palate. If you're a black coffee person, you'd likely be pleased. The sweetener is light. I will absolutely be coming again and trying more items. The service is quick and pleasant and the ambiance was relaxing. I ate solo on this trip and felt very comfortable.

Today I went off script. I ordered the #29, Pho Suon Bo, pho with beef rib, and I am genuinely glad I did. The portion arrived looking like something the Jedi Council would have sent as a diplomatic gift. The rib meat was falling off the bone in the way that only happens when someone in that kitchen actually paid attention, tender, rich, and worth every credit of the $30 price tag. They bring the usual sides: bean sprouts, sliced jalapenos, lime wedges, and fresh basil. They also brought out a small plate and a knife to handle the rib, which was a thoughtful touch that saved me from an otherwise undignified situation. Once the meat was cut and ready I did what any serious pho person does and built my dipping sauce on the small plate: chili oil, a small amount of sriracha, and hoisin. I am told that this is the traditional way to approach pho. You preserve the integrity of the broth and dip your noodles, meat, and vegetables as you go. Dumping everything into the bowl is a valid personal choice, but it is not the way of the Jedi. My son stuck with the reliable Pho Special plus extra noodles at $16 plus $2 for the extra noodles, which remains the best value play on the menu for a bowl that genuinely satisfies. Neither of us left disappointed, which at Pho Tasty is essentially a guarantee at this point. Five stars, no hesitation. The #29 is a special occasion bowl. The house special is an every visit bowl. Both are missions worth repeating. The Force is strong here. read more

Really great food! The pho was incredible in a huge portion for the price, the spring rolls were really good and they were able to do it without pork, which was considerate. The bahn mi was also delicious. Still on my personal Pho tour and now I have a #3 spot. I've been here twice in about almost two months. My first time, I placed a to go order and the second time, I dined in. I must say that here, the portions are consistent whether dining in or getting it to go. The broth here is flavorful. I'm learning as I tour, the foundation is what can make or break a good Pho. I've tried shrimp pho and beef, brisket & oxtail pho. Both were a 10/10. Here in the broth, you get green onions, cilantro & sliced onions. I prefer dining in because, why not. Plus, it's something about having everything within reach to perfect your pho. Wow! I'm so glad we stopped here on an out of town visit during the Taylor Swift Eras Tour trip. We ordered: fried egg rolls, pho, and a banh mi pork sandwich Fried egg rolls - you get 2 eggrolls per order and these are larger than I expected. A light and crisp exterior with a delicious filling. Pho - the broth is delicious - my only negative point would be I would like a little more meat. Not double, maybe just one or two more pieces. Banh mi - DELICIOUS - this was my first time trying this dish and I will be getting it again. Total bill $37 - you can't beat that for dinner for two!! The bahn mi special is go to for me. Tender pork along with Vietnamese ham and all the traditional accoutrement. Try the bbq pork rolls too... there's no bbq sauce or anything like that... it's like a traditional, fresh goi roll but they add crispy spring roll in the middle. It's awesome! read more

One of my favorite places to buy Pho in Indy. Very clean and well organized. The vegetable Pho is my favorite. I get everything extra. I love the way it makes me feel when I'm sick. It helps with a sore throat and even a grand meaning after the stomach flu. It always seems to do the job better than anything else. Quality pho and related cuisine. We ate here for dinner, and service was quick and responsive even though there were a decent number of customers in. We had no trouble ordering and the dishes came out just as expected. I found the sauce on my tofu to be a little too coagulated for my own tastes. But I think that might have been the proper way to prepare the dish. My friend's beef dish was perfect and she had no complaints. If you're in Castleton and looking for good Vietnamese food, this place is worth a stop. read more

Combination of egg roll , shrimp and pork. Fresh veggie in the bowl complete the crispy texture. Shitty/ bad service ever, because I asked for an extra meats, and they gave me the regular amount of meats without adding an extra meats. A pho soup usually comes with 3oz-4oz of meats, my soup only had six thin slices of beef. I eat pho frequently. I had to ask him nicely through written note on my phone, yet, he said, I'm sorry you're disappointed, and that's the kitchen's portions. My partner noticed that my meat portion was not an extra meat portion and agreed with my statement. Yet, he would not solve anything at all, walked off on us, and gave the bills when we're not even done with the soups. I highly recommend you not to attend this place. Tasty Pho is a bad quality with terrible attitude service. We've been coming to this place for years and got the worse quality service. I highly recommend you to try this pho restaurant called, "What the Pho," would give you a quality, and best service ever. read more

This place was delicious! We went on a Sunday after church let out so it was pretty busy with only two servers working. I'd come back but I'd rather go on a weekday when there are probably less people but that's my own personal opinion. The food is great! The size of the meatballs in the pho was my favorite. I love visiting Pho Tasty! I recently ordered the Super Bowl pho to-go to share with my husband, but for the price, I felt that there wasn't a lot of extra ingredients or broth. I felt like I had more at the restaurant itself, but it's alright! I also ordered the beef (or maybe pork) spring rolls which were delicious! It is great to find a pho place near home. I think I have seen this place before but when you are passing by castleton mall you don't pay a lot of attention to the businesses facing the street unless they have a big sign or that's me at least. Anyway, I've been trying pho placs around town and this time we had the fortune to try this place. Nice and neat, they have a 2 page menu and a tea menu on a chalkboard. My girlfriend picked chicken pho which was good enough for both us since we were not that hungry, and also we had fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce and a couple of teas for 39 dlls. The portions were good. When we went back home and put all the ingredients together we had a very big soup. Flavorwise it was good, but I would say that it was missing some flavor to be extremely good; the chicken was a little dry but that may be just that day's produce. The spring rolls were good but a little too dry and the peanut sauce too thick. However, the TEA was awesoooome! Thai tea is one thing but adding coffee jelly beans it's another story try it on a milk base, and since we saw the smoothie part we mixed mango and passion fruit with some bobba balls that didn't last our ride back home. Went in with wife and two small kids yesterday for lunch. We ordered two bowls of pho and one egg roll. The food was mediocre and the soup was pretty bland. I was surprised by how little food I got in the "super bowl". I told the server that I need to get one bowl of Pho to take home when we are done eating. When I received the bill I was shocked to see 18% tip being added to the ENTIRE bill, including my to go order. Too bad this is happening. I didn't want to write this review only because it currently has 222 reviews & now I'm ruining it with my 223rd one lol! This broth was absolutely DIVINE!! I do like to add sriracha and the hoisin sauce in my pho, and you don't need to with this. I really enjoyed my time here with my family and even though this place is a little small, it does give a very comfortable atmosphere. Would highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

After searching to locate some good ramen we stumbled here. I had the vermicelli Vermicelli Noodles with beef. Very very similar to any other other Vietnamese restaurants. Pretty uniform in flavor & ingredients. The service was OKAY & straight forward. One person taking orders and serving. Nothing major. We went around 4pm. Great spot for when you're craving Viet food. This will probably be my go-to in the area. Never too busy and the staff is friendly. My friends and I ordered some noodle bowls, the soft spring rolls, and BBQ pork rolls. The spring rolls were ok - not very much flavor. Fell a little flat for all of us. But the BBQ pork rolls were a huge surprise! We were hesitant to try by the looks of them but the flavor was 10/10. The noodle bowls were tasty and very large. Hoping to come back soon! read more

Delicious, hearty and uplifting pho! That's exactly what pho tasty offers. Their house special pho is at $13, affordable and very filling. Their egg rolls come out freshly fried, crispy and hot! After living away from family for a year now, this dish felt like a piece of home and comfort. The flavor of the pork egg dish is absolutely delicious. While this dish is typically supposed to be made with pork belly, chef Ricky substitutes it with pork shoulder for a more familiar taste/texture to our Midwestern community. I'm not mad honestly. The meat was so tender and pulls apart easily to eat with the rice which means it was braised long enough. I only ate half of the serving as it feels like a generous serving. I enjoyed that it was paired with slides tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and pickles veggies. The only thing missing was the nước chấm dipping sauce. The chè ba màu three color dessert is also another home away from home dish that instantly brings me back to my mom's house. We have had the short rib multiple times in the past- and normally it is a hunk of meat, similar to a roast. Now, it is strips of tiny pieces of meat with a bone attached to it. If the owner/general manager is reading this- GO BACK TO THE ROAST STYLE- the strips of meat was too much work to eat. Still packed full of great flavor though. Following a recommendation from a bartender at Sundry & Vice, I made my way to BODHI. I didn't have reservations, which I'd strongly recommend, since the place was packed on Wednesday night before 6PM. Fortunately, I was able to snag a seat at the bar, which was ideal since I was dining solo. Upon scanning the hip, high-energy, yet petite dining room, I had a sense of deja vu about it before realizing that I had been in this space before back when it was Black Market. I started off with a cocktail from Bodhi's intriguing and expansive drink list, a 7 Realms of Happiness, made with Old Hamer Bourbon, Faccia Brutto Centerbe, Cappelletti amaro, saffron honey, and lemon. My thought was that it's their twist on a classic Whiskey Smash. It was bittersweet, yet balanced, and simply a delight. As for the food, BODHI's menu is concise hitting the most of the Thai food usual suspects. I had the Papaya Salad and the Shrimp Green Curry. The papaya salad came out first. I was pleasantly surprised by its plating, looking much more like an elaborate entree with its cashews, watermelon radish, and chicharrones than the humble side salad atop a leaf of lettuce or cabbage that I've usually received at virtually every Thai restaurant I've ever been. It was just a pretty plate as it tasted even better than it looked. It was fresh and flavorful as those flavors popped from the perfect balance of salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and funky. It was the best rendition of a papaya salad that I've tasted. My bowl of curry was no less successful in balancing those diverse Thai flavor profiles. Unlike some/many other curries I've had where it seems like a bowl full of sauce with bits and pieces of protein or vegetables, Bodhi's rendition achieved the perfect "solids to sauce" ratio. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the curry itself was bold and bright on my tongue. It was a delicious spoonful. I loved it! For "dessert", I had a second cocktail, the Garnet, a booze-forward whisky drink made with Mars Iwai Tradition, Pinhook Rye, Akashi Ume Plum whisky, Veda Mushroom Liqueur, Balsamic Vermouth, celery & orange bitters, and topped with a Moon Smoke Bubble. It was very unique, tasty and satisfying, if not a bit difficult to describe. I would maybe compare it to an Asian-influenced Vieux Carre and I thought it was excellent. Service from Carli, the bartender, was stellar throughout my night as she was friendly, helpful and exceedingly outstanding in making my drinks. A definite rock star! BODHI was outstanding. I'm not sure how to best describe the place. Was it as an amazing Thai restaurant that also does incredible cocktails or an amazing cocktail bar that also does killer Thai food? Regardless, I could not have enjoyed my experience more. If/when I'm back in Indy, BODHI is at the top of my list for a visit!

The main floor dining like a lunch vibe, but it turned out to be a cozy choice. For appetizers, we started with the cornbread after our focaccia was unfortunately not the best. Seemed to be over-proofed. The cornbread was absolutely phenomenal and a must-have! A special shoutout to our waitress, Arya, who noticed our disappointment with the focaccia and generously brought us the cornbread on the house. That kind of service is truly memorable! I also had the beets and peaches salad, which was refreshing but a tad overdressed. Still, I couldn't resist finishing the entire dish. For my main course, I ordered the lasagna, and I can confidently say it was one of the best I've ever had. It wasn't overloaded with cheese and instead complemented by mushrooms and pesto, and surprisingly light on the stomach. My husband chose the filet and rated it an 8/10, saying he thoroughly enjoyed it. We were so full by the end that we skipped dessert. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The only downside was the atmosphere; coming from Chicago, we expected a more bustling vibe on a Thursday night. It seems Indianapolis is a bit quieter during the week. Overall, we had a delightful dining experience, and hats off to Arya for her exceptional service!

I love pho and Vietnam food. I use to come to this location a lot, until they showed their racist side one day! I came in with my family, waited a few minute for water, and asked for the menu. Then, a white couple came in, they sat by the window. Everything was fine until this point, we asked for the menu again. Their waiter said yes and took two menu walked to the couple that just came in! I thought maybe they just too busy and forgot about the order of who came in first. Then I asked the waiter to order, since we already knew what we would like to get. After we ordered our food, we waited for about 15 mins to see they brought the same order to the couple that came in after us! I asked the waiter why is that, and the waiter act like he knew nothing about it, and insist the white come in first! Then, the manager lady came out asked what happened, we told her the story. Her reply was: "what do you want?" And rolled her eyes! All we want is to be treated equally! We paid our food and left the store for good! I would never go to this location anymore! If you're in the market to receive inconsistent food and be treated rudely, this is the place. I really wanted to like this restaurant because there are limited Vietnamese options nearby, but it's not worth it. Staff are super rude, food is often cold, ingredients often missing, and forget trying to make any change to the listed item. Give it a miss. read more
