Cute hometown diner where everyone knows everyone, except me because I don't live there. Super friendly staff! They are Covid compliant so you feel safe and can enjoy your meal. Their menu is big and typical for a diner. All the usuals from breakfast to dinner. I got a cup of the cream of mushroom soup and a BLT (comes with a side of chips). The soup was really good and hot on a cold day. The BLT was chock full of bacon and fresh shredded lettuce and tomatoes on hearty white toast. It definitely hit the spot for me as I continued on my day trip. A nice place to stop outside of Lake George in Warrensburg on your way through to wherever you're going! The bacon was extra extra crispy.(burnt) The toast was cold and soggy.The home fries and the eggs were good. 5 dollars for a glass of milk is crazy. 30 dollars for breakfast consisting of eggs and pancakes. Frequent by locals, the food was much better than expected. The chef overseeing the frier was fantastic. The fries and my fried cod sandwich was delicious. The cod was not greasy, but was crispy and paired well with their tartar sauce. Reminded me a little of the McDonald's fish sandwich. Burger meat was made there, not Bubba's. I had steak and eggs - farm fresh eggs and flavorful 6 oz strip. Server asked how I like it and I said medium rare - got more medium well but was still full of flavor. Home fries pure and simple fresh potatoes and a little piece onion here and there - we like it nice and browned as it was - but easier on the salt please! I think my favorite part about our experience here was our servers. We had two between our two tables and they were both excellent, friendly and so attentive! We came here on Sunday morning with a party of 8; the place was packed. We sat in two adjacent tables that were close enough for us to not feel the need to wait to be seated together. All I wanted in my life at that moment in time was a buffalo chicken wrap. At 10:00AM. So I ordered it. This is my go-to diner-ish meal and this place, I think, has the best! First of all, most places just throw chicken, hot sauce, and lettuce in there...typically with some low-grade sour blue cheese. This wrap was wonderful. The chicken was so flavorful, and the lettuce and tomatoes in the wrap were super fresh. The blue cheese, which I got on the side, was awesome. It was a pretty big wrap too, a lot of chicken. It was overall an impressive wrap (I mean, they aren't the most exciting thing but I have no shame.) If we are ever back in the area we will definitely go back! read more

Even with a few mistakes with the order it was still good. The home fries need to be cooked more. They were soggy and just barely cooked through but they did taste good bit I would like them better if they were crispy. I ordered the eggs scrambled and they came out over easy which I don't usually like but I ate them. Thank God for ketchup to kill the flavor of the runny yoke. The stuffed french toast was good. The bread seemed to be home made. The cinnamon roll was good. Everyone liked there food that I was with. They had a big selection of pies on the board will have to try a piece next time. While staying in the area, upon a friend's recommendation, we stopped in for breakfast, Upon arrival, we noticed a few police patrol cruisers. This must be a great place if locals come! It was! The menu had virtually any breakfast choice a person could want. When our orders (pancakes, eggs and such) came, you could immediately see that it was home-style cooking. What I was most pleased with is the orange juice! It wasn't loaded up with sugar. It was perfect! We loved everything that we ordered and the waitress was so friendly! Nice place for a hamburger or sandwich in Warrensburg. Lucky-E Star is on the west side of Warrensburg, heading toward the Adirondacks. There is plenty of parking. Inside the atmosphere is casual. This is definitely a family-friendly place. The bathrooms are clean. Table service is prompt and efficient. The menu is mainly burgers and sandwiches. The hamburgers are large and cooked to order. One of the best burgers in the Lake George region. Prices are fair and reasonable. I would give it a 3 1/2 stars if that was possible, but there is nothing unique about the Luck-E Star. Just a good solid restaurant with a basic menu. If this restaurant was in Lake George Village, it would be four stars or maybe even five stars. So if you're in Lake George Village, consider driving up to Warrensburg to have a nice lunch in relaxing, casual setting. read more

Had a burger that was good but the french fries were horrible. They were cold at the ends and not cooked properly through, plus I think they were old. Would not go here after summer as they have two entrance doors to a very small cafe and when those doors open, it's like getting hit with an arctic hammer...extremely unpleasant. Wait service was dreadful, maybe the worst I have experienced in the area. To say it was slow would be an understatement. John Henry in Warrensburg is much better and is at the same price point.
