Used to be my favorite pizza in the area. Today I picked up a burnt and dry bianca pizza. It tasted like cooked pizza from 2 days ago that they just heated up too long. I don't know if that's the case but I wish I looked at it and ate some from there before I left the restaurant. read more

Listen guys, this place has fantastic pizza! I feel that it's spoiled me because now I expect all pizza to be that good. I usually get the white pizza or cheese pizza. The ricotta on the white pizza is so good! Something that I absolutely LOVE about Park Ave Pizza is their crust. It's wonderfully soft and crispy at the same time, and has a sweetness to it that takes it to a totally new level. I also really like the service I receive when I go there. Never even knew this place was here. It's been awhile since I've been in Winter Park but I had someone in from out of town and we decided to do a little walking around. Went in here and ...... Now, I'm going to say something that could seem to be racist or stereotyping, but I'm going to go ahead and say it out loud anyway ........ they're Asian. Everyone behind the counter was Asian. I'm from New York and THIS was some of the best pizza I have ever had!). I had a slice of the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. It was their Bianca (Mozzarella and Ricotta cheese with fresh garlic) Pizza with chunks of buffalo chicken strewn on top. It was creamy, spicy and perfectly "garlicked". The crust was thick enough to hold all of the cheese and chicken without flopping over but not too thick. The end crust was perfectly cooked and chewy. My friend had 2 slices of the Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza. He said his was very good too. While we were there I noticed that quite a few people who came in seemed to be regulars. The woman behind the counter seemed to know a lot of their orders before they even ordered! There are a few small tables outside and about 10 tables inside. The staff was very friendly and were right on top of delivering your food to your table and keeping the tables clean. The whole place was spotless! They have bottled beer and bottles of wine. After eating our pizza, having a couple of beers and talking - we both looked at each other and said at the same time "Want to have another?" And so we did. My daughter and her friend were fairly exhausted from Black Friday shopping at the mall and at Park Avenue shops; and, desperate for some sustenance. Luckily, Park Avenue Pizza was just around the corner from where we parked, so we dashed in, got them each a slice of cheese pizza; and, a soft drink. The pizza is lighter than most, with an almost "fluffy" dough. The cheese was hot and tasty. Drinks were obtained from the refrigerated cooler. Good customer service, nice place! read more

This restaurant would have received five stars if it hadn't been for the cleanliness, the floors are a bit dirty and tables are dirty and bathroom is not clean. The food however is very good, the calzone was delicious, and the pizza was decent as well and you can't complain about the prices which are excellent. read more

Well, it's a cheap alternative to the pricey restaurants in the area... You know how certain places have a smell to them, and that smell attaches to your hair, skin and clothing, and follows you everywhere til you grab a showah? Well, this place is that place. Free samples of 'Eau de Mothballs' with purchase. Everyone's gettin' juiced tonight! This little trap serves pizza, calzones, rolls, and subs. The pizza is decent, but not great. I always seem to be in pain after a couple slices, which I am normally fine with. It's hard to pin down a single ingredient that isn't up to snuff. Cheese, crust, sauce? Maybe start over entirely. If you can stomach it, they also do slices which is a handy convenience. The subs are okay. But it's hard to fully enjoy them when you know that some grungy guy is back there making them without gloves on. True story, multiple visits. Oh, I found a long hair on my sub once. :( When it comes to pizza on Park Avenue, between this place and Panullo's, I'd rather skip a meal... or crawl on my hands and knees 1.5 miles to Brooklyn Pizza on Fairbanks. 2 stars for friendly owners, vintage-style booths and a TV set. What I like about them is that they don't over do it with their crust (thin crust) and their sauce and they have also wide variety of pizza styles. Overall average but satisfying pizza. They offered a New York style pizza with a thinner and crispier crust. The doors were open the other day to enjoy the warm breeze but in the summer I've heard it gets quite humid when they keep the doors open then too. The atmosphere is nice and the price is fair. The shop is owned by a very nice couple. You won't know who to love more, them or the pizza! The pizza though. Let's just say the cheese pizza is so flavorful and perfect that adding parmesan on top only distracts from its impeccable balance. Also, if you think you know buffalo chicken pizza, order a slice and be prepared to question everything you know. It's unlike any buffalo slice I have ever tried, yet it is the BEST. It tastes better with each bite. The sizes of the pies are pretty large, too. I share a small with my boyfriend and we are STUFFED after we finish, and we love pizza. I was introduced to Park Ave Pizza by friends who regularly order whole pizzas. My current fav is the Bianca, nice crust and garlicy cheesy goodness. The pepperoni and the mushroom are also great. Crisp med crust, not too doughy. Pizzas are ready quickly for take out, never a problem with ordering on the phone. You can pop in and grab a slice or a pie, service is quick and friendly and there always seems to be a few locals grabbing a bite no matter the time of day or night. read more

After wanting a summer salad just as the Winter Solstice arrived, I realized I was going to be out of luck. Fortunately, the smell of pizza wafting out of Park Avenue Pizza lured me inside. The first thing that shocked me was the price. I am used to deals or lunch specials, but there were none to be found, leaving me to pay $3.00 for one slice of pepperoni pizza which didn't include a drink. I was hoping for that price, that the pizza would be good. Luckily for me, it was almost worth the price. The pizza itself wasn't the best I've ever had, but the winner for it was the crust. It was almost as if the most delicious garlic bread was attached to the rest of the pizza and left me wondering if this was the best crust I've ever tasted on a pizza. It had a ciabatta-like quality to it, slightly crispy outside, warm and not overly chewy inside and full of flavor. The troubling thing for me though was, I enjoyed the crust a little more than I enjoyed the pizza. Because I didn't feel like spending extra money for a drink, I just had water, which was given to me in a cracked cup. I pointed this out to an employee, and they replaced it for me. If the pizza had been a little better than the crust, and there had been a $5 two-slice lunch special with a drink, it would have been hard to not rate this place 5 stars. This was a small unassuming place amidst a sea of hi-falutin' and overpriced restaurants. We went in, attracted by the smell but not knowing what to expect. And oh boy were we pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Alfredo pasta and my husband ordered two slices of Hawaiian pizza + garlic bread. All of it was delicious! The pasta sauce was unlike any other Alfredo I had ever tasted. Went here on a Friday night about 8:30pm. It wasn't too busy when we got there. We ordered at the register and sat down to wait for our food. Our food never came and people who ordered after us got their food. A worker came over and said they lost our order and asked what it was again. They apologized and said they were making it right away. They asked if we wanted a slice of pizza while we wait. We said yes, and apparently they forgot the slice of pizza as well. We finally got our food which was Stromboli and a cheesesteak sub. The sub was pretty good and the Stromboli wasn't bad. I got it with green peppers in it but their peppers were fresh and not cooked. It didn't really mesh well with the Stromboli. It must be a family business because there are a lot of people in the cook area just standing around. It doesn't surprise me that they forgot our orders because they are all distracted. I would give them another chance but their service needs a lot of improvement. read more
