Nice theatre, kept very clean, the staff is very polite and helpful, it is convenient on the park in the center of town surrounded by restaurants of every flavor. Well! We were in town for the Zinfandel festival and found we had some down time to kill before dinner. So we decided to come here for a movie. We saw Alice in Wonderland. Thankfully they did have the 3-D technology here. FYI: They are a cash only establishment, so bring plenty of cash with you for the tickets and if you want any snacks. Also, they have an arrangement with a local candy shop next door where you can bring their candy into the theater with you. read more

After wine/beer tours we enjoyed a late night movie here at this small town theater. Not many people, pretty quiet which is a change from the city theaters that I'm used to. There were probably 10 other people in the same showing we went to. The tickets are average price at $11.50, same with the food. $5.50ish each for nachos and for a small popcorn. Nothing amazing, but had the movie we wanted to watch, so did the job. read more

My husband and I enjoy going to this local theatre. However, there is one thing that constantly raises our shackles; the fact that there are so many disrespectful people of all ages, who insist on putting their feet on the seat in front of them. Consider all of the unsavory things, besides dirt, that end up on ones shoes. The other day we saw a teenage girl, sitting right beside her parents, who had her feet up, her parents not saying anything. Now, what kind of parent lets their offspring be so oblivious to the fact that someone will be sitting where their daughters dirty feet currently reside? And there is no one to monitor this behavior. In Atascadero, at the Galaxy theatre, they are very vigilant. If you want a clean place to rest your head, I would recommend you go there, instead. If not, hey, take some sanitizer, and wipe the back of your seat off. Well, so much for my venting. read more

I've recently been to both Cinemas... Park Cinemas and the New one in Atascadero. I prefer the hometown feel of Paso much better. They need to do something different to stand out! If they became known as the bang for the buck movie Theatre they'd become a lot more popular during this time of economic struggles. If they learned to packages some family deals they'd be much better off. read more

The place is clean and the popcorn is good, but the theaters and screens are small and the one I was in was not stadium seating. I saw a 3D movie during opening weekend and was very disappointed in the movie experience - theater/screen was small and the projection quality of the movie was awful - colors were washed out and dull. The staff was nice and the place was clean, but the overall movie experience was poor. read more

The theatre is clean and comfortable. The staff is nice. Of course food and drink are overpriced. The only real downside here is that they don't always have the most up-to-date movies. I had to go down to SLO to see Black Swan and 127 Hours, if I didn't want to wait a month to see them. read more

Great Sound and the best 3D experience around. Love the popcorn added kettle kicker. Galaxy is good, but Paso is Perfect.

What can I say besides this is our theater in town, and it has a young friendly staff, a great owner-manager, it always has a wide selection of movies from which to choose, a well-stocked snack bar, and it's very neat and clean. I read the post with all the negative stuff and recommending another theater, and that's either crazy or dishonest, because I have found none of that to be true. Is it someone connected to the theater way south? Anyway, it's a wonderful theater, right next to all kinds of restaurants, ice cream and candy shops, and bars and wine tasting--a location that you will never find anywhere else. I have never seen this theater crowded either; you can always find perfect seating! read more

I love my hometown theatre! Great sound and friendly atmosphere. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the lack of independent films...ever! Only mainstream and blockbusters movies shown here. We must travel to SLO to catch indies. read more

The best thing about this place is that it doesn't get packed like other big movie theatres. What i hate about this place is how expensive it is. Not only are the tickets more expensive than other theaters I've been to, but the food as well. If i had another option, i probably wouldn't come back to this place. read more

I'm visiting from out of town and just walked into this cute theater, the staff was so friendly and everything was extremely clean! They recommended The Martian to me, and I loved it. Picture and sound were above average, and a staff member even checked on the theater a couple of times to make sure everything was okay. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend this place to anyone! read more

Over the holiday weekend I took my family to see Moana. The staff was friendly even though it was Christmas Eve!! I appreciated the fact that the theater was open. Go to galaxy in atascadero, way better than this place and has better prices. Went to get a ticket for a 10 pm show at 10:10 and they wouldn't sell a ticket because they don't see after 10:15.. but I still had 5 minutes. Not good sound quality anyway. Wouldn't recommend this theatre. read more

last time I went in with my kids the staff was friendly and helpful but the lobby smelled very strongly like that electronic cigarette smoke (or vaping smoke as my son informed me it might be). the smell was stronger behind the employee counter. one of my children is an asthmatic so I'm not entirely comfortable taking them there if the employees are smoking or using e-cigarettes (the air was fine in the theater and hallways, the smell was really only noticeable near the food counter. it seemed like it was coming from the room behind it). read more
