This business has gone downhill. More often than not, the store is closed during business hours, so…read moreit's inconvenient when I need to bring in clothing for important events. The last few times I've brought articles of clothing in, I received them back with stains still on them. I would then have to send them back again. A few months ago, I brought in an article of clothing (which had to be cleaned twice due to stains and I also received it still wet the first time) to be cleaned. I get a call now accusing me I haven't paid and it was a rather insignificant amount. The person over the phone stated they had to call multiple people for this, meaning it could have been a wi-fi issue and not an individual case. I paid again, but I will no longer be coming here as it seems the staff do not have our best interest.

Starcrest Cleaners in Washington, MO. Pricing is inconsistent. I recently had a couple of Kilts…read morecleaned and or laundered. A cotton utility kilt and an acrylic plaid kilt. I have had both cleaned and laundered here in the past. Once I was charged over $11 (because of the pleats) The pleats are sewn in. Then once for the acrylic kilt I was charged only $6. This one had pleats also. I then had them cleaned/laundered again and the price was over $22 for both. The reason then was given as "weight" of the items. If there was another cleaners available in the city of Washington, I would be using them. I honestly think it would be cheaper to take my dry cleaning/laundry into another town. I'll eat the gas charge to have consistent pricing.

I happened upon Parkside Cleaners as they had the best reviews and ratings on Yelp far and above…read morethe other cleaners in the city/county boundaries I'd set for my search. Walking in, everything was clean and wide open. The racks of clean clothes fill the space behind the service desk. They're neatly arranged and sorted; it looks more like a department store of sorts than cleaners. They're neatly arranged have a small area partitioned off which appears to be a dressing room near a sign that states they offer alterations. The two women, sisters, who work the counter are both extremely friendly and pleasant. My first visit was dropping off a navy wool pea coat that I'd actually never had cleaned, but after spilling a large coffee on myself one day, it was pretty much forced. I've had two white dogs the whole time I've owned this coat, so let's just say it showed . When I picked it up, not only had they gotten all the coffee stains out, it looked better than brand new !!! I'll admit that I was worried about the paying upfront when I dropped off, but it was completely worth every penny!!! I'll be bringing more cleaning here very soon!

I have been patronizing this cleaners for six years and had never missed picking up my clothing. I paid and questioned why I had to pay up front. Unfortunately, this practice makes me feel devalued so I will not be returning. Korean business have enjoyed tremendous support within urban communities. I believe they should punish bad actors and not everyone who patronize their business; if in fact that is what they are doing!

I entrusted Lakeview Cleaners with four of my shirts for cleaning, and received ticket number 26379. Unfortunately, the dry cleaners lost these shirts and has failed to resolve this issue promptly and professionally. I have made numerous attempts to communicate with their staff, specifically Danielle, who has been extremely rude and unhelpful during the process. In addition to the loss of my shirts, I have encountered several instances of unreliability and inconsistency with the business hours, causing further inconvenience. I have also discovered online reviews that describe similar situations where other customers experienced the loss of their articles of clothing, highlighting a pattern of negligence. Go elsewhere, this place is the worst. Keep being told the owner will call you, never happens.

Dropped off 2 pair pants to be hemmed April 23. I was told they would be ready May 11. My son said…read morehe had used this place and paid $8 to get pants hemmed. Asked about cost at drop off. Was told not sure but maybe $18. I thought they meant total cost for both pair. Went to pick up on May 11. Not open on time. Other customers sitting outside waiting for door to open. A man showed up about 10 minutes later and unlocked the door but wouldn't wait on anyone. He said he was only there because of a wedding and we would have to wait for his employee who was running late. Employee finally showed up and said she had a flat tire on the way. The pants were not ready. Asked to have them returned but was told they had been sent offsite. Asked for estimate of when they would be ready. I was told, "I don't know." They said just wait for us to call you. I called them on June 13 because had not heard from them yet. They said they had one pair of pants. I told them there were two pair of pants. They didn't know where the other pair were. They would call me back. They finally contacted me on June 16 to say they had located both pair of pants. I picked them up on June 17 and found that the cost was $18 for each pair of pants for a total of $36. The only reason I'm not giving them just one star is because they did actually get the alteration on the pants correct. I won't be using them again. Too costly. Not reliable. Not friendly.
