I would not recommend the service department or Toyota motor company: Here is why 1. Toyota sent notice of airbag in 2016 and it was not honored nor followed up on 2.. Toyota sent notice of headlight burning out. Yes, I have has this problem. I brought it to the attention multiple times of the service department Almost a year, I complained to corporate. Lexus service called me Now a year later, problem still not honored 3. Files a BBB complaint against Toyota motors and they said I was not a customer. BBB canceled complaint because someone in Toyota is very intelligent in getting rid of real complaints I have given up on this company and have moved my business elsewhere. Follow up April 23, 2020 While organizing my 2017 taxes - I find an old complaint with Lexus about failure to fix head light. The dealer was given a year to respond. They never called back. I had to reach out to them. A BBB complaint was filed against corporate. Corporate claimed I wasn't a customer - BBB closed the complaint. Amazingly dishonest and shrewd on their part. They are just masters at closing the complaints, but not solving them I guess. So I called the number on the recall form just to give Lexus one more chance. Wow! All I can say is wow what a dishonest company. The 800 number called the Lexus dealer here. They (Some guy named Travis) claimed - which is a complete lie - that they tried to reach out to me. I have caller ID and voice mail - so we know that isn't true. I had to call the dealer. It's been three years now and they still want to lie and cover tracks. I visited this dealership on March 24th to have a routine oil change for my Lexus. I was given a loaner vehicle. I was informed that my car was ready to be picked up. I returned the vehicle on March 25th. I was told by the valet to head inside so that I could sign the paperwork for my car. I thought this was a bit unusual, because normally they will have someone walk around the car to verify that the loaner car was good. I went inside the service department. I paid for the service. I signed the paperwork. I then was approached by this man named Travis. Travis told me that he knew that there was a hail storm in my area. I thought it was weird that this guy was telling me about a hail storm. He then accused me of causing damage to the car. I was shocked. I told Travis that the loaner car was kept in the garage the entire time. He continued to accuse me of damaging the car. I left the dealership and called my insurance agent. My insurance agent asked me to go back and take pictures. I went back and approached the original person who checked me out. He then directed me to Travis. I asked Travis if I could take photos. Travis refused. I then asked Travis if was refusing me to take pictures. He said yes. I knew something was fishy. I hate to say this, but I truly believe I was mistreated because of my skin color. I didn't think this would happen at a supposedly reputable dealership. My advise is to stay away from this place. Response to Dealership: I don't believe you value the me the way I should be valued. In fact, you value the customer by exploiting a loophole that exists between car dealerships and insurance companies. I'll go into that in greater detail later. Yes, you provided photos. Those photos did not show any visible damage.You even admitted that in our conversations over the phone. Yes the insurance company sent an adjuster many days later. (Well after I returned the loaner car back to you. Isn't it possible for someone to cause damage to a car (That I wasn't allowed to see after the alleged damage) after it was there for days after I returned the car back to your dealership. So here's the example of the loophole. Car dealerships understand and know they can take advantage of situations when they don't have to prove the damage occurred during the time the customer had possession of their loaner car. They know they don't have to prove that the damage was caused by their customer. They can wait days for an adjuster to show up and assign the responsibility of any supposed damage after the possession of the car is transferred back to the dealership. They also know that the insurance company rather settle than go to court to deal with this issue. I do not want to reach out to you because I already did. The public needs to know that your team member refused to show me the damage the day he accused me of causing damage to the car. An adjuster came back to the dealership multiple days after I left the car. Who knows who did what to any car after the loaner car was returned? This location is so unprofessional. I had called to ask a few questions in regards to my Lexus. The guy that answered was so rude -same with the receptionist. They acted like they did not want to be there and that my questions what such a trouble. Because of their poor customer service I don't think that I will buy a Lexus again!!!! I purchased a Range Rover Velar in April 2023 from this place. I drove the car for a year and decided I preferred a brand that I am more familiar with. I made an attempt to trade the car. THIS is when I found out that I had been bamboozled. The dealership where I wanted to trade this Range Rover to told me that they cannot take the Range Rover without a significant price reduction. He indicated the vehicle had been in a wreck and had a "severe" notification on the car fax. He said if they accepted the trade, they would have to sell the car to an auction and the car was not up to par to sell from their lot. He recommended to contact the original dealership to see if they would buy the car back but that the car trade would throw me over $16, 000.00 upside down if I went through with it. Obviously, I declined this offer. I was shocked and went home immediately to take a look at the sales documents sent during my purchase. As I already knew, the car fax that was sent with the car details on the purchase contract did not reveal this. I would not have purchased the car with such severe notification detail on a car fax. The guy that sold the Range Rover to me had intentionally held the car fax details that shows the car has a "severe" previous accident. I called the dealership to find that the original sales guy is no longer there. I then escalated the call to a manager. I spoke with Corbin. He then makes it appear the car fax was updated after I purchased the car. I don't care what excuse you give. How are you going to fix this situation? You sold a car with specific details missing that would have deterred any buyer from purchasing this car. It was strategic and a very foul move. I have bought three cars from the Park Place brand. This is a new way of functioning for Park Place and a deep cause for concern. I have never ever been handled this way by a supposedly reputable dealership. A person doesn't walk in and purchase an expensive brand car with expectation that a dealership is going to pull such foul deceitful tactic. I am still waiting on someone to call me back and handle this disaster. Worst case scenario, I will have to consult an attorney to help with holding them accountable. Outstanding experience today at Park Place Lexus in Grapevine. I had a warning light on and just pulled on in without an appointment. I was greeted at my car and immediately helped (with masks on which I appreciated). The nice greeter changed my key fob and I was able to meet with service advisor JOE who was excellent --- friendly, helpful, honest and patient. Joe said they could accommodate my request to have my brakes checked and also let me know what else was needed (and give me a quote ahead of time) on my vehicle. I drive long distances and just knowing what future expenses are coming is very helpful and reassuring to me. He pulled up my vehicle history also so I had a reference of what had been done in the past at other dealerships since we are new to this one. The waiting area was so nice with comfy chairs, tables, outlets, coffee and water. Normally I would want a loaner car (and with an appointment they can make that happen for you) but this waiting area was so nice the time just flew by. Small suggestion of snacks would be great to have but not necessary......I've had a Lexus since 2006 so definitely have spent time in dealerships over the years! We recently brought our Lexus in for servicing and encountered a pretty significant issue. There were some miscommunication mishaps and we were pretty distraught. However, Erin, Tom the servicing manager, and the master technician were all extremely helpful and outstanding in the way they handled and helped to resolve (to the best of their ability) the issue. *EDIT* Lexus Park Place reached out and wanted to rectify the previous visit below. I was reluctant, but I what do I have to lose. My appointment was on 3/5/2018 at 8:00 a.m. and my service adviser was Robie. He provided excellent service from start to finish by providing excellent customer service through communication. I showed him the print out I wanted when i arrived at the dealership. Within the next hour, he provided me the printout of the wheel report. Due to his technician background, he knows what hes talking about and possible solution to the issue. Please ask for Robie as your service adviser next time. I will be taking my car to Robie from now on. *Edit* Third time going for service and second time being disappointed/frustrated at the service department. Went in because my wheel has vibration. Dropped off the vehicle on Monday, 2/12, and my service advisor was Mark Jones. Mark contacted me Monday night saying that there was bent on the wheel and baring on the wheel was making noise. He gave me the option to purchase new wheels and he said the baring on the wheel was going to be covered under the warranty. I've reached out to my friend and he recommended me to find a shop with GSP9700, Park Place Lexus has this machine, and get the tire road force balance and get a print out. Then, I called back on Monday night and left a voice mail asking Mark to give me a print out of the report on the road force balancing so that I can get a second opinion. Tuesday, I've called 3 times to request road force balance report and all 3 times it went to voice mail. Come Wednesday, there was no communication with Mark so I went into the dealership to speak to him. He was gone for the day so other service advisor was assisting me. He has NO idea what kind of service was being done or wasn't able to find anything in service log in their system. The service advisor called Mark and updated him what was going on. I asked the service advisor for road force report, but he gave me an invoice and I was told Mark will contact me Thursday. Come Thursday, no phone call. No phone call Friday, Saturday, or Monday. Come Tuesday morning, I get a text saying my car is ready. I go into the dealership on Wednesday to pick up my car and Mark wasn't there so a different service advisor was assisting me. Finally, I receive a picture that was printed and I sent it to my friend. He said this is not the road force print out and that this print out did not tell him anything about a bent on the rim. So I go in to ask the advisor that this isn't the print out I was asking for. And the service advisor insisted that this is the only print out he can give me and he wasn't going to let the mechanics work for free to give me the report. And that I would have to pay for balancing again to receive this print out. The amount of professionalism that this park place upholds was felt dealing with my car issues. The lack of communication and the professionalism of the service advisor is really up to par. Great job park place. I will be taking my business to Sewell Lexus. By the way, my information has yet to be updated after going into service 3 times. My invoice has the previous owners name, phone number, and address. read more

As they say, "to sit in the lap of luxury, pay for it". Problem is I'm an informed cheapass. My wife and I have always been impressed with Lexus quality and have owned Lexus for almost 30 years. Over time, Lexus has devolved into any other overpriced, overhyped name like Mercedes, Audi, and BMW. You overpay for a brand to impress your friends and family on social media. I don't mind paying for quality up front so I don't have to fork over a few grand for repairs later. Not the case here. $1200 to replace a radiator. Another $1200 to replace the water pump. Dafuq. I have the money. It was just the hard sell that sucked. Charles Offenbacher, Lexus Service Adviser, is a master purveyor of fear. Yes, I have coolant leaks, but telling me that my engine will fail soon if I don't make the repairs immediately was a nice little play to jack-up your commission, Charles. And when I refused, telling me that the tech saw the temp gage go hot after driving it around the block was an outright lie (because when I drove it for half an hour after, it was fine). Telling me that you won't put my car in the free car wash because you don't want my engine to fail while it was in there, nailed that BS coffin shut for me, Charles. Buddy, I came in and paid $372 for an oil change and you don't want to wash my car?! Based on a lie?! To get me to fork over $2200?! For a service that you would normally give to all other service customers for free?! Wow. I don't have more money than sense. I'm too old and tired to get mind-fucked like this. First they wanted a full diagnostic fee to check the transmission fluid level after I heard it whining, even though it was a certified vehicle and still under extended warranty. Needless to say I took it somewhere else where they checked it for free. Then they did an oil change, and did not top off the coolant so when I got home, I found it was low and had to top it off myself. Why pay double the going rate if they can't even top off the little coolant bottle? After these two encounters, I now take my Lexus elsewhere for service. On a positive note the staff is very friendly and most of them are professional but questionable billing / repair practices make me doubt if it's fake. Dropped off the car for a recall and had another issue on the car (AHC). Was told it would be a rather expensive repair and asked if a possibly cheaper fix could be performed and was declined. Picked up vehicle and now the AC isn't working, Had to drop off the car again (was told i would be contacted if repairs were more expensive than the $150 diagnostic fee but was not contacted at all). The charge for the AC was higher but they agreed to lower it to the diagnostic fee. After leaving the dealer the AC still doesn't work despite being charged for the repair. Was told the tech did not actually check on my complaint (Not working at highway speed) and it appears he did a standard test AC and fix (evacuate and recharge). Now in my limited time at home I have to figure out if I want to get the multiple things that now need fixing repaired or sell the car instead of focusing on personal life events. read more

The person who I talked to reserve the appointment gave me a hard time about a loaner car as she told me the appointment would be 90min only but I needed a car to go back to work (she finally agreed). Upon arrival to park place the advisor was not friendly (they are much nicer in Plano). The service advisor did not provide updates on my car, I had to continually reach out. As mentioned before, I was told the service would take 90minutes in reality it was 5hrs for a 10K oil (change only) I needed my car to return home and there was no effort or concern for not returning my car in the time I was provided which was a major inconvenience. :sigh: 2 hours of my life gone. I came with a 10 o'clock appointment for an oil change today and left at 12. So I got there at 10 and after an hour of waiting, they came and told me my car had other issues besides needing an oil change. Uh oh was the first thought that entered my mind. Apparently my rear brakes were touching some sensor so I had to get the brakes replaced. I can deal with that, not their fault. Nick told me that it would take about an hour to fix it. I asked for a loan car because I had to pick up my siblings at 12. He said sure, give me 10-15 minutes and I'll have the car right out for you. 45 minutes later I went looking for him because it was getting close to 12. The loan care was on its way and my car wasn't quite finished yet but would be done in about 20-25 minutes. He did offer to deliver my car to my house when it was done so that I wouldn't have to drive back up to Grapevine. I gladly accepted the offer and drove off in the loaner. I was annoyed because I was stuck at a dealership for 2 hours but they were friendly and helpful so that made up for it but I really wished they estimated their time better. Oh well. I really liked the loaner car so I might end getting one :x They do have a nice waiting area with internet access so you won't be too terribly bored if you're stranded here. read more

After recently having my lease serviced, I was feeling pretty underwhelmed by this location, however that changed after the servicing manager personally reached out to ensure my experience shifted into a more positive direction. The number one thing customers appreciate is respect and time spent positively. When I spoke to Tom, he was respectful of my time on the phone as well as my past service which goes far. We talked about how COVID times are still prevalent, but how Lexus still takes their care and service very seriously. I for one can completely understand that off days happen, and it appears that that is likely what happened here. My husband and I have been recently discussing my lease, and just took a look at it which appears is to end sometime around October. I thoroughly appreciate the outreach and respect I was shown, which just further goes into the care Lexus is known for. I recently converted from a BMW to a Lexus. I was told that Lexus had great customer service. In my experience with the service department, it was everything but great. After purchasing my car, a week later, I notice that the car will idle rough at times when at a stop light and also noticed that my cigarette lighter does not work. I make an appointment to get these two things looked at and leading up to my appointment, I did a bit of research online about the rough idling. I started to notice that the rough idling is an issue that Lexus acknowledged in previous models and extended a warranty for it. When I arrived at my appointment, I was greeted by a service representative. I told him that I was new to Lexus, but I am sure my car only having approx. 20k miles, should not have bouts of rough idling. I also mention to him about the cigarette lighter not working. Since I did some research, I knew this issue is also covered under warranty. Without even checking my car out, I was told my the service rep that the idling is normal and the lighter is just a blown fuse and I could easily replace it myself. I got the impression from the service advisor that he said everything he needed to say. I was quickly frustrated and disappointed in the lack of customer service, I decided not to challenge this and drove off. After doing a bit more research, actually calling Lexus and recording a video of the RPM moving when idling, I decided to call Lexus Customer Service to get a clearer understanding on how Lexus works. Customer Service contacted the dealership and made them aware of my experience. The new service advisor was a breath of fresh air in comparison to my first experience. The lighter was fixed under warranty because there was a short, not a fuse issue. As for the idling, I was told on voicemail and the phone that after a Lexus technician test drove my vehicle, they could not duplicate the problem. When I go up to Lexus to pick up my car, I read the notes on the sheets for my record and notice that only 2 miles were driven from the time I dropped the car off. I was a bit confused because 2 miles is not a "test drive" nor enough time to duplicate a problem that occurs sporadically. So far, my experience with Lexus has been nothing to spread the news on how great their product and customer service is. So far, I am disappointed to say the least. read more

Came here for my last Lexus service maintenance for a 3:00 appointment Saturday may 1st, 2021 and was helped by Corlie, an older gentleman. He was able to quickly assist me and go over the issues with the vehicle. He then offered solutions and insight on how he would fix those issues if it were his car. I appreciated the knowledge and that he was trying to make sales out of me on bogus news. Service must have been busy that day because it took approximately two hours. Lexus washed my vehicle but did not vacuum. Most of my previous visits they would vacuum and wash before returning the vehicle to me. Overall, it has been good experiences with this location for me but I opted not to renew service maintenance because the location is too far of a drive for me. We have purchased several cars from this dealership, going back some 10 years. I cannot recommend the service department, as UPSELLING is standard. Implications of lost warranty are used. Talking down to customers, especially women, is the rule, not the exception. For instance, brand new tires with less than a thousand miles needs rotation? Customer installed air filters might void warranty? Customer installed wipers were sub grade? Recommendations are couched as "have to", while other Recommendations are because Lexus says so. Car uses synthetic oil because it has a synthetic engine? Not all dealerships deploy these practices, but this one does. read more

We purchased our 2016 Lexus GX460 new, but service on the vehicle has been dreadful. The car has had to have the alignment adjusted 3 times thus far, all prior to 30,000 miles, each at cost to us. We have not driven in a manner that would knock the car out of alignment. We recently brought the car in for the 30,000 mile service on a Friday afternoon, and the 2.6 hours of charged labor was evidently spread out over several days, as we were only able to pick up the vehicle this Wednesday morning. This is pathetic! Basic service was little more than checking fluids and filters. We also had to change our tires this trip. They barely made 30,000 miles, and were replaced for well over $900. This was after a "prorated discount" from Michelin for miles not realized on the 50,000 warentee. These same tires could have been purchased and installed at discount tires for closer to $700 without any prorated discount. If Lexus Grapevine had any decency, they would have suggested that we take the car elsewhere and save the money, but they chose not to. Additionally the service drive rep I spoke to tried to indicate that the consistent improper alignment didn't cause undue wear on the tires. Mostly, I take issue with the sexist manner in which the service rep spoke paternalisticslly to my wife (her car), insulting her intelligence and speaking to her as though she were unable to understand what needed to be done to her car. I own a RX and the service experience has been good. Unlike my other Lexus dealership, they do not give loaners which is a huge bummer and something they should do but their waiting area they try to make as comfortable as possible. I am able to bring laptop and get some work done which is a plus. We also came in to test drive a GX with Joe Phu (based on reviews below) and he was very nice to work with. I appreciate they didn't try to sit us down and talk numbers because we are not sure if we are serious about car (Lexus, update your GX interior and computer systems! - RX is way better), we were able to walk away and not give out info and come back on our terms. I swear this place makes me want to sell cars. These people really do a great job of explaining the sale, and what everything is or is not. I never felt pressured. They were as transparent about the sale as any dealership as ever been. The service experience is excellent. The service managers are top notch. Always, have a loaner car ready for me. Have come and gotten my car for service.. and I live an hour away! I know they are not the cheapest place in town and I would rather pay a little more and get excellent service and be treated like a king! I waited for my last service and was amazed.. computers, tablets, snacks.. really good coffee. Soda, did I mention snacks. When they came and got me, I really was not ready to go.
