I went in having some issues with my brakes and it turned out to be the master cylinder. They had it done and ready for pickup the following day. Master cylinder's are known to be defected out of the box. This caused mine to go out again. I was able to bring it back a 2nd time and they took care of me again! I guess I was the only one that didn't know they close at 5. Paid close to $100 in Ubers to go pick my car up thinking they closed early when I got there a little after 5 to pick up my vehicle. Left there in the cold. Had to uber back home. Then had to uber to work at 5am next morning and back to the shop to attempt to pick up my car again. Signs on the door, yelp, even the answering machine says they close at 6... cause of all the time and money wasted, I told the guy it would've been nice to know if they were gonna close early or that they actually closed at 5, and I get a no sympathy response "welp, well we close at 5." Needed extra work done on my car, they weren't interested in going over any of that when I was checking out. I could've easily dropped $1000 in there to get my car fixed up, instead no customer service and my time/money wasted. Won't be back. read more

I brought my vehicle in for a heater cooler job Which requires the whole dash to be pulled, when I picked up the car everything seemed fine they fixed the problem with my heater cooler but my head unit was no longer working what so ever. there is no power to my head unit at all & my wiring from my dash cam is now coming up the top of my dash with the wire sticking straight out, not how it was previously wired before they took it apart (tucked in under the console). When I went back into the shop to let the I suppose owner know about the issues he immediately cut me off and said we didn't mess with it we didn't touch any of the wires to it at all. He completely denied having any involvement with it not working and stated that it was nothing he could have possibly done. How does that even make sense when it was working perfectly fine before & now that y'all pulled my whole dash apart it's not working. But it's not y'all's fault? Y'all didn't mess with it at all? Very bad customer service and standards to deny your work/mistakes with a vehicle when you know it was performed. A complete lie straight to my face makes this shop completely untrustworthy and nobody should ever bring their car here. I also know that he knew it was not working anymore cause right away he cut me off and said he did not mess with the wires, but he didn't seem to care to tell me before I picked the car up? Not good business what so ever. I just paid $1500 & the guy at the front desk had an attitude the whole time and did not seem to care about making the issue right just proving his point on how there was no way possible he could've messed with it but he pulled my whole dash apart? Also after looking at my dash they cracked the top left portion all the way across to the other side but I didn't hear a single word about that from them. Went there for an alignment on my 95 F150 2 WD, and it still pulls to the left. The "tech" said my ball joints were loose. That's BS!! haven't put 10,000 miles on those ball joints. If you can't do an alignment on a truck, just say so, don't make up an excuse. Would not recommend this shop for anything related to mechanical work. Totally not worth the $$$. Just a basic oil change is over $90 with tax more than a dealer! The kid that works the counter has no customer service skills and tried to rip me off with an estimate with an outrageous amount. The young kid has no people skills must be the entitled son of the owner. I don't know how much they charge for labor but it must be a high amount for their backyard mechanics. Their lack of communication throughout the process was horrible - on top of picking my car up and warning lights were still visible. When asked why there are still issues, the response was, "oh we just thought you wanted the overheated issue resolved." Common sense would tell me that you're the expert, you would also tell me there's other issues. My car sat at your shop longer than what you kept saying just for it to STILL come out with issues . We drove to Justin on Thursday to visit family and upon arrival my car threw a belt. I found Top Shelf on Yelp and immediately drove there, about 2 miles. It was about 4:30 and they close at 6. I left the car and they called about an hour later explaining the belt broke because the AC compressor froze up and broke the belt. I explained we needed to be able to drive home on Sunday, they are closed Sat/Sun. They needed time to get the parts and complete this extensive repair. We authorized the repair and came by Friday around 5 to see if they were going to finish. I paid for the repair and was told they would call when it was ready and leave it out front. At 7:30 ( 90 min after closing), they called and said it was ready to pick up. We were able to get the car and were able to return home on time. They did a great job, were friendly and professional, and went above and beyond to help us. I highly recommend Top Shelf! read more

My car was due for an oil change and tire rotation. I found these guys on yelp and wanted to give a locally owned shop my business. I'm glad I did. The prices were on par with other places and the work was done within 90 minutes as two people were ahead of me when I got there. This is a family owned and run business, which I like. The owners 16 year old daughter was running the front office and she was a delight. She kept me company the whole time I was there and seemed to know a lot about what goes on with mechanical work, more than I did at her age. She was in the garage, not the waiting area with me, when my car was pulled around but she came running out to say goodbye and wish me a good rest of my day. I'll use this shop again when I need just for that nice personal touch that you don't get from a chain. read more

I have an old Ford Falcon and was pleased to find this garage as they are located within walking distance of where I work and they know how to work on old cars. I needed extensive brake system work and they came through 100% after having some initial teething problems, which required a tow back to the garage. They were very nice about it as they did not charge for the tow which I appreciated very much.
