We came here for lunch while visiting the area. Great selection of local brews on tap. Tasty chicken wings and delicious burgers made with local ingredients. The shop is a little small so there isn't much space for sitting down if busy, but the food is worth experiencing. We would definitely come back for the spicy maple sauce. read more

The Park Squeeze will easily catch your eye with it's iconic neon lit sign. I gave this place a couple visits in the past month. I had some Jump On It incentives and figured it was a great opportunity to try a couple favorites and two different burgers. The Squeeze is really true to it's name. It feels tucked right in there, on the block and into downtown Vergennes. This restaurant has had this feel from the time it was a diner or a noodle/wrap shop. The climb up the stairs to the bar is narrow and steep. The bar area felt warm and was well decorated. I ordered the arugula and spiced walnut salad and the special burger. It was an all american with bacon and american cheese. The salad was great if you like the bitter spice of arugula. The spiced walnuts, sliced apples and cucumbers. Along with the salty blue cheese and sweet cranberries which only added to the flavor of this perfectly dressed salad. The burger was cooked perfectly warm but pink with a nice sear. With the familiarity of these flavors, it allowed me to focus on the well seasoned local beef. The fries were thin and fried crispy which finished the traditional plate of tasty americana. The second visit was similar except the seating was downstairs at the front long table. The service was prompt and attentive even as the restaurant became increasingly busy. The salad this time had diced apples and cukes which I preferred from the sliced I had before. There seemed to be less nuts and blue cheese than in the salad I had before. Same great flavor though. The burger again was cooked perfect. The star this time was the tomato jam which created a whole different burger experience. I'll be back to The Park Squeeze for another experience soon. read more

In town visiting, came here for dinner on a dreary Saturday evening. Between the 4 of us we had steak, shrimp, haddock, and lamb stew. All 4 meals were delicious. The cheesy garlic bread we had as an appetizer was excellent also. Definitely recommend bringing the family here to eat! read more

Huge disappointment. We were so excited to have a new place open in our hood. Our expectations were high, considering the chef/owner. Why only two stars? For starters, they have the lamest selection of beer on tap (only 2) I think we had to settle for a switchback. The food was truly uninspired. If you're vegetarian, good luck. You're going to need that switchback to choke down a dry, unflavored falafel with 1000 island dressing dumped on top of the stale pita. I could go on, and tell about my carnivore husbands meal, but what's the point? My only hope for this place is for a menu turnover. I will say, the upstairs bar is groovy. Good luck Park squeeze, we'd love to come back but need some incentive... Start with some good beer. read more

Food was good, 1/2 priced burgers (didn't know that when we came in) so couldn't beat it! Our server was very pleasant. The hostess on the other hand, thin lady, rude as hell to me and the others in my party, ruined the dinner. Nice to everyone else who came in without reservations, didn't pressure other parties to order because of reserved tables, makes me think she was specifically being mean to my party. Telling us that we have to be "out" by 6pm because someone reserved the table she sat us at, telling us we need to put the orders in so we can finish by 6. Well, we finished at 6 pm, and no one was waiting in the waiting area. So it was completely unnecessary for her to keep pressing us to order and hurry up. Like I said, she only did this to us. If the restaurant was completely booked, she should've just told us, we would've gone somewhere else. read more

I made a reservation for 4 for Easter Sunday 1 month ago. Called to check on the reservation and it was confirmed and it was suggested we reserve the 4 person table in the front window and I did and I was excited. Upon arrival, the preferred table was set for 4, with a 5th chair on the end, and we were told they needed that table for 5 people. Brought us to a dark table ....in daylight we had to use our phone flashlights to see the menu. About an hour into our dinner, 4 people came in and sat at the preferred table. They took the 5th chair away....I inquired to the party that was seated if they reserved for 5 and they said no just 4.....so we were lied to. The server who took our order was probably the worst they could hire. Very bad attitude, never smiled or said thank you, slow with water refills and plate removal and stood at the other end of the room texting on her phone. There was a food runner who was delightful and we asked her if they share in tips and she said yes, so we tipped 20%. The food was just Okay....nothing terrible and nothing great. When the bill came, we paid with an American Express gift card. The server said they have trouble with gift cards and we told her to run it as credit and it should be okay. She came back, flopped the bill down and said "I guess these do work" and walked away without no other words. We will never go back. We meet our daughter from Burlington in Vergennes for lunch and dinner quite often. read more

I'm stoked to have another option for lunch, dinner, and/or drinks in town! I have weird days off so it's great to have a local place to meet up and grab a drink with friends. My favorite dishes are the tofu falafel and the chicken gyro. The upstairs has a completely different vibe than the downstairs-worth the wait to get a table upstairs IMO. read more

We've recently tried the Park Squeeze for the first time after the re-opening. The new owner did an amazing job rearranging the place, it looks great, the music is good, great staff and the general athmosphere was very pleasant... but.... the food was a disapointment! We ordered the lamb sliders , the classic burger and a pasta dish. They did not bother mixing the lamb with spices or parsley like all mini lamb burger recipes call for, so the meat tasted strongly lamb. The chutney was not good either. The pasta was tasteless, very blend. The worst was the classic burger, the meat smelled like it was out for 4 hours before it was cooked,. I was hungry so I could only eat the edges which was cooked enough not to feel the bad taste of the meat. The tomatoes were not fresh, they were mooshy. We are willing to make another try because the ambiance was very nice and the staff great, but seriously if this place wants to stay in business they'd better learn how to make food! read more
