came in for a drink and a couple appetizers. My Espresso Martini was good, and husband enjoyed his beer. The calamari was delicious, and our shrimp ceviche appetizer was good, but nothing like it was advertised on the menu. We received what was like coleslaw with some pico de gallo, and a few shrimp in it. There was no habanero, and it was in a creamy sauce, not lime and evoo. Service was ok at the bar top, a bit slow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean , spacious restaurant![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Finally stopped back in after a few years for weekend brunch. Our server was on point, but the food was 50/50. We were going to split two sandwiches, and the 1st one we asked for was out. The ruben was not available that day. Super bummer. We grabbed a french dip and the green chile chicken & avacado. The French dip was a complete fail. For starters the sandwich was tiny! The meat was absolutely gross, and the cheese was off as well. Then to top it off, my fries were cold. All around a 100% fail. Now for the other sandwich. Complete homerun! It was bomb! My mom stopped back in a few days later and got her ruben. It looked good in the picture she sent me, and she said it tasted great! Too bad they were out of it that day.

Stopped in last night with my family . The lion lemonade (adult beverage) was amazing. The hibiscus drink wasn't my cup of tea. We did both vegetarian the bacon wrapped shrimp- great, the California rolls-okay - I'm not a huge fan of the crab salad version I prefer the solid piece of crab in the rolls - and the pear gorgonzola flatbread, which was wonderful. Great flavor pairing.

Great experience, walk in get greeted by front reception, seated shortly after, was nice didn't have to wait. Several different options on the menu to choose from American to some sushi..remembered to take some photos this time. It was my bday dinner celebration with just 8 of us. The server was very helpful and on top of anything we needed. Started with a Jalepino margarita and some cheese curds to share. The cheese curds was served with 2 different sauces each very different and great in their own way, one was a Jalepino relish, which was new to me served with cheese curds.. and I loved it! The other was a chipotle ranch which was also very good. For my main I did the gastro burger, always my go to and side fries, fries are really great and the burger is top notch! Guess my fam told them it was my bday, so server brought over a sweet treat to finish the night, it was big enough to share, it was two warm cookies served with ice cream and chocolate and caramel syrup. Thanks for making my night great and celebrating another birthday with me!

We stopped here on a whim. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was enjoyable, if a little more cavernous than I expected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was very good but not great. There were some long gaps in checking to see if we needed drink refills, how is the food, etc. When the server stopped by she was very pleasant. There's a decent selection of beer and drinks. We had the spicy fried cauliflower to start, which was very enjoyable. It wasn't overly spicy but had a decent amount of kick. I had the Gochujang BBQ Pork & Kimchi Fried Rice for my entree. It definitely had some kick but wasn't over powering. The flavors throughout the dish were well balanced. It was very good, I just needed some more water which took a little while to get brought to the table. I'm happy we stopped here. I'd eat here again but I'm not sure I would specifically make the trip.

We are the couple on Tuesday 5/26 that just got up and left after waiting 10 minutes and received NO service. Who we think our server was, was talking to another table for all but a minute or two of the time we waited. Never even received a glance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not busy in there![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Was really wanting that 9oz KJ and hubby was looking forward to an old fashioned. Went to The Keg and were greeted by 3-4 people and served right away! The drinks are here already as I finish this.

We made reservations for valentines. Our reservations was for 3:45pm we were sat immediately. Which was nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the many hostesses tried to seat us at a dirty table with food on the floor under the table. With three chairs not four. I had to ask can someone sweep the floor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The table was right by the front door. At that time it was not that busy. So there were plenty of tables open. We were told they were reserved. Well you Giuseppe lost money because those tables and booths sat empty for over 3 hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was food on the floors under tables. They finally had one of the MANY hostesses that need way more training. Everything was chaos. They were trying. I ordered a CEDAR PLANK SALMON but there was no cedar plank (false advertisement) ..the salmon was very thin i thought it wasn't salmon. My husband said the steak was okay but it wasn't a cut for it to be a ribeye. Our desserts I had the whiskey apple crumble burnt around the edges. My husband had the lava cake it was a little dry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables that are in the front by the doors. You need some type of barrier to make it a little more secure and personable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It felt more like a cafeteria. How you present the restaurant on your advertisements is not what we experienced. It was more like an sports bar...[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Well at least I was able to experience it with the man I love, who was not happy.. Get it together y'all.

I entered this restaurant with fairly high hopes after checking the menu and photos on yelp but the service was subpar and the food portions were not reflective of the price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was "sporty and fun" with lots of big TVs and an open kitchen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If only the server in this empty restaurant would have paid some attention it would have been better. No excuse for flagging down staff for a drink refill. The salads were presented in a shallow bowl to make them look bigger. The southwest chicken salad had too many tortilla strips for my taste and the cauliflower sauce had way too many cashews.

Was pretty good for the whole family with lots of variety and choices. The food were all good no complaints . Quick service for 11 people and not too busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ample seating options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Are reservations needed for a weeknight?

It depends on the time, but it's recommended unless you want to wait a bit. The waits aren't that long...usually.

I've heard that this is a karaoke bar... is this true?

No, the one in Tempe has live music on occasion though.

I heard this is a Denver Broncos bar. I just want to ask before I go on Monday. Does anybody know? Or know any other Broncos bars?

Hello Jacob! Thank you for the inquiry. Yes we are and we would love to see you in here tomorrow! We are looking forward to the game. We hope to see you in, Amy In response…

I kicked off our 90-minute experience with the Blackberry Yuzu Margarita, and it was the perfect balance of crisp, sweet, and tart. I wrapped things up with the Macadamia Nut Piña Colada which, fittingly for being "aboard" a pirate ship, was delightfully rum-forward without being overly sweet. In between cocktails, we shared a couple of snacks that were such a welcome addition -- something you sadly don't always find at local speakeasies! The service was top-notch thanks to our bartender Rocco, whose knowledge and attention to detail made the experience even more fun. Between the creative cocktails, immersive vibe, and fantastic hospitality, Undertow is easily one of the coolest spots around!

Of course, this place is known for its cocktails, so naturally they should be great--but trust me, I've been to several cocktail-only establishments that were lackluster. Absolutely NOT the case here. You could literally put all the pages of the menu on a wall, throw a dart, and whatever you hit would be delicious and interesting in its own right. The place is a little small, but honestly, that's what I love about it. It feels cozy in all the right ways. It's also very relaxing, floating along the sea with some delightful surprises here and there. We ordered several drinks, but one that's not on the menu (and they do make it) is the Pearl Diver, which is magnificent here. The mixologists and servers are all amazing and should be proud of themselves for bringing such an experience to Gilbert.

She loves Alice in Wonderland. She was mistaken and thought it said Java not Kava. She thought Java Kava was a coffee lol So to my surprise when I get there, Kava is a dirt water that is very, very strong and pungent and not my cup of tea lol But besides that, this place is so hip and cool. The bartender was very, very informative and he let us know that they will give you your first dose of Kava for free to try it. I could not choke all of it down. My friend was a trooper goddess, and she choked the whole thing. I was so impressed by her I am very sensitive to things. And they have different doses, strengths and different styles of, so this is just what I ordered. It was the last light, on the menu he suggested for us. So even though I did not enjoy the Kava, it is not my jam. I loved this little nook as it was quieter. What We Ordered: - Red Wine: My coworker ordered this, and remarked how much she enjoyed. Takes an edge off the work week, and a great pairing of catching up while I was onsite at the Phoenix office. - Curious Cocktail: The temperature of the day we dined was 111° and I needed something refreshing. They didn't have a Spritz on the menu, so I went with this. I did enjoy the flavor, but could only have one of these as pretty sweet. - Heirloom Tomato Toast: This was the perfect start to the meal, and the vibrancy of the heirloom tomatoes was refreshing. I really enjoyed the miso aioli as it really complimented the tomatoes. - Side of Crispy Potatoes: Sometimes you just need some carbs, and these hit the spot for a starter before entrees though it is listed as a side. - Dry Rub Chicken Wings: These were decent for wings, but I think I would refrain from ordering again as the sauce choices just weren't great. - Mercato Sourdough Pizza: My coworker throughly enjoyed this pizza, and it intrigued me to return to order one as I couldn't have this one (pesto). - Orange Olive Oil Cake: This was perfection! The salted honey whip + berry coulis helped balance out the denseness and tartness of the orange olive oil cake. Genuinely a contender for my favorite dessert this summer, and I've had a few when spending 15+ days traveling for work. We also shared a Caesar salad and one of the things we love about this place...ask and you can get some fresh anchovy on the side to add to the salad. Wife always asks for more lemon as well to drizzle over the salad. Overall a fantastic dinner for us and everyone with us!
