We all really enjoyed Park Tavern. Our waiter busted his butt considering he was waiting on so many other tables. A couple in our party ordered salads they really enjoyed, 3 others has the shrimp tacos, I had the Mexibano.....including myself, everyone enjoyed their dinners and service. Wine/cocktails/beer list is pretty extensive. So why not 5 stars? The music was incredibly loud but they did turn it down upon request. I came here with a friend before a concert at the United Center, and it was pretty good. When I walked in I was told to put my name in (we decided on this place too late to make a reservation), and that it would be a half-hour wait. Luckily, there were two seats at the bar so we just snagged those. The food was pretty good, I had a chicken Caesar wrap that was good (not outstanding), and my friend got the tacos and enjoyed them as well. We both got a seasonal pumpkin cider that we enjoyed. Service at the bar was maybe a little slow, but the bartenders we interacted with were friendly enough, and prices seemed reasonable. One downside, and it's not really the fault of Park Tavern but was still annoying: the bar is right next to the door, and our seats were right in front of the door. We were there on the first cold day of the season, and when people would walk in and out of the door the door would get stuck open in the wind, sending in a huge blast of cold air. Now, some of that is on the part of the people coming in and out not closing the door behind them (and when my friend and I took to shooting them looks if they didn't, they seemed to pick up on it), but perhaps there's also a way to fix the doors so they don't get stuck open (or maybe not). Horrible service, the bartender was very rude. He told us he would lock the door when we were on the patio. Very unprofessional, the whole time we were there it seemed like he didn't even want to serve us. We are nurses and wanted to come after work to grab a drink. Wouldn't come back with the service given by the bartender. Oh and by the way we saw a rat running on the patio and it went underneath the patio bar. Disgusting! Neat little pub, drinks were okay, but not outstanding, and they only had three of the Scotches on what was at least a 10 Scotch menu. Service was pretty good. Ultimately, it was the food that was the letdown. Calamari had good flavor, but was kind of mushy, certainly not crispy. I had the Italian beef which was good but a bit skimpy on beef. My wife had the gluten free pizza, which was also not bad, but our friends' pizza was overcooked to the point of being inedible. They actively avoided eye contact and it took me (as politely I can) shouting, "can I close out please?" for someone to come over. We came to Chicago for a concert and found this restaurant on google. The moment we walked in the door we were treated like family. Then the food came out and it was absolutely delicious. The place gets so crowded past 7:30PM, even on weekdays. We ordered the Deviled Eggs ($6 comes with buffalo sauce- nothing special, but cures any cravings for Deviled Eggs haha), Not Yo Mama's Nachos ($16 choice of chicken or steak, crispy tortillas, cheddar, black beans, jalapenos, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream- healthy portion, we split as a snack between four people), Animal Tots ($10 pulled pork, cheese curds, grainy mustard, fried egg, gravy- a must order), Buffalo Chicken tacos ($15 four soft shells with avocado, shredded cheese, spicy mexican slaw- larger tacos jammed pack with fried chicken), and the French Dip ($15 shaved prime rib, grilled onions, provolone, horseradish aioli, red wine jus, garlic toasted baguette- large portion, filling, delicious). Nice place to eat/drink at before/after United Center games and events, it's cheaper than eating at the stadium that's for sure. There aren't a whole lot of places near UC, this might be the closest one. It's your standard sports bar getup, though definitely nicer than most. Lots of tables, lotsa TVs. Pretty good draft beer list, I had a craft pale that I had never had before. I also got the crispy Brussels sprouts app which were very good. Not quite sure what the parking situation would be, as it's so close to the stadium, they might have valet, but it's pretty close to the blue line medical district stop. Rarely do I go somewhere that Yelp stars low and I question it. This rare time was at the Park Tavern on the first night of Smashing Pumpkins at the happy hour rush! We luckily got a seat at the bar. The service was fantastic and even when they were rushed it was shockingly quick. Happy hour here is EXCELLENT, especially if you are seeing a show at United Center. Half off drafts, $4 mixed drinks and glasses of wine. We shared the poutine tots ($10) that were delicious and a chicken club ($14 maybe). The food was served shockingly fast, was a generous portion and was delicious. The shuttle to and from United is free, runs frequently, you can take drinks from the bar on it and it drops you off across the street. Can it really get any better than that if you go to an event here? Get your parking validated at bar for $8 parking in deck across the street from Park Tavern. Will definitely be back when going to an event here...might even come back to hit up their happy hour. We went to the Park Tavern, before the Luke Combs Concert. We were asked if we made a reservation, we tried but it would not let us. There were able to seat us by the bar. At the time it was semi busy, but filling up. Jeremiah waited on and we got our drinks quickly and we ordered a chicken nacho to split. The food came quickly and the hot and good. The place filled up quickly and the bar that Jeremiah was taking care was full. He did his best at trying to keep track of us, but it was hard for him. The host came to the table to see if we need something, we did order two more drinks, that we found out later that they comped us. We decided to try this place as it was close to the United center where the Blackhawks were playing their first game of the preseason. The staff was very friendly and engaged, and advised us on parking and shuttle services to the game. This place comes highly recommended by the Blackhawks subreddit, so I figured I'd eat here before taking in my first regular season game at the United Center. There's a garage across the street and the restaurant will validate your parking pass so it's only $5 or $6. Park Tavern has a shuttle van that will take you to and from the Center, but it's an easy five minute walk if the weather's decent. I was worried after reading the reviews here about the service, but there was nothing to complain about. We were seated immediately despite the many Hawks fans there. Our waitress was friendly and attentive even though the place was busy. My water was refilled multiple times. Food is good and the entree portions are generous. Try the cheese curds - they have a light, pillowy batter that has spoiled me for any other curd. I had the macaroni and cheese of the day: buffalo shrimp. Five spicy shrimp adorned the giant bowl of mac and cheese. The Mac itself was a little plain but still good. No long wait to settle the bill either. We were 45 minutes late for our reservation before a concert at United Center beacause....well, Chicago :) After being in the car for two hours, we were a little cranky and figured there was no way we were getting a table since all the online reservations were taken. I was so surprised when the waitstaff sat us right away and knowing we were in a hurry, did an awesome job of taking care of us. The food is always good here- especially the cheese curds!! My family and I needed a place to eat dinner near the United Center on a Friday evening. Google brought me to Park Tavern. The fact that they had a FREE shuttle bus to the United Center and back was our deciding factor. Sweet deal. (The shuttle may be free, but please bring a tip for the awesome driver, Jerry!) We had a 5pm reservation, but didn't need one because it wasn't busy at that time on a Friday night. It picked up around 7pm though. FOOD: - Cheese curds appetizer. Delicious all around - the breading, the cheese and the 2 sauces. I'm not a fan of eating fat on my fat (ranch on my cheese), so I stuck with the typical marinara dipping sauce. - My BBQ bacon cheeseburger on a pretzel roll was thick, juicy and quite messy. But very tasty! It came with fries, a LOT of them. I ate a few. They were just okay. - My son's buffalo chicken mac 'n' cheese wasn't as large as I imagined. It was enough to fill him up. He used the leftover ranch dressing from our curds as a dip for the chicken in his dish. - My husband's buffalo chicken sandwich was just okay. It consisted of about 3 pieces of chicken on very thick hoagie roll. Hard to taste the chicken, and it made the experience too dry. So he ended up eating the chicken with a fork out of the bread. It would have been much better on a regular burger roll or ciabatta roll. We all ordered waters, so I can't comment on the drinks. SERVICE: Our waiter was nice, but nothing memorable. He did take his time in bringing our check, and we assumed they didn't have any dessert because he didn't ask if we wanted any before bringing the check. Was he trying to get us out of there fast because we didn't buy any alcohol? Perhaps he wanted to get people in who could give him a bigger tip? Who knows. SHUTTLE: Jerry. Love Jerry the shuttle driver! He was super cool and accommodating. He's always ready to drive people to the United Center. It's about a 5 minute drive. Even if it's just you and your date, he'll drive just the 2 of you over there! After your show, he picks you up right where he dropped you off. After our show, we didn't even have to wait a minute for him! He was pulling up just as we walked up to the intersection. Perfect timing. He DESERVES those tips, so don't forget some cash!! I think this is a nice venue, easy to find parking, and good service. We went on a Saturday night and the crowd was mixed in terms of age, the music was good, and the service at the bar was quick. I ordered a burger and fries, my friend ordered the nachos with chicken. I felt the food prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were good. I will say that the $20 cover charge is a bit much, especially if you plan to buy food and drinks. But...overall, it was a nice experience and I'd return. read more

Me and three friends came to this restaurant late July 2019. We were going to a concert at United Center after and the venue is relatively close, a plus for those looking for a place to eat nearby (and they apparently have a shuttle). We were seated immediately due to a reservation, however it took twenty minutes before we got to order food. Twenty minutes. In that time, multiple servers and wait staff walked by us and did not inquire if we needed assistance, even as we ASKED multiple people who our server was and how long we were waiting. I had to get up and go see the hostess before a waiter begrudgingly came to our table. Fortunately, the food was good. I had the deviled eggs (great), fried chicken (good), mac n' cheese (good but sauce was "runny"), and mashed potatoes (lacked salt). My friends had the burger (good), nachos (good), and tacos (also good). We also happened to go during happy our and got some drinks which were decent. At the end when we received our bill, I was informed that the drink I ordered (Whiskey sour - pretty standard, I would say) was not a happy hour drink since I got Jack Daniels Whiskey which apparently is there "middle shelf liquor". As far as I know (and correct me if I'm wrong) but there is only bottom and top shelf and any whiskey or bourbon drinker will tell you Jack is pretty cheap and low on the list compared to what I could have gotten had I known it was not the well whiskey. The waiter failed to tell me the well options, thus I ended up paying more. The only reason I even gave a star is because the food is actually good. If you are looking for a place to eat near the United Center/Medical District, then this place fits that option. It's really sad how limited Rush's Westgate building is in terms of good food. Park Tavern capitalizes on that by providing expensive food for mediocre quality to the desperate hospital workers and guests around them. Great spot on the Famous Avenue in Delray. Having trained several hospitality staff in my career, Park Taverns Bartender Chelsea may be the single best bartender I've ever observed. Her attributes of serving hundreds of people on a nightly basis with a smile and genuine hospitality is truly admirable Chelsea never shows a bit of 'Being in the weeds' as some frustrated hospitality staff do on busy nights. It's fun to see her in action on Monday $5 Burger nights serving drinks nonstop from open to close. Watching her make an Old Fashion is an elaborate show. Being my group leader for Happy Hours and arranging dinners in Delray almost every night for single groups, Chelsea is our main reason to choose Park Tavern followed by consistent good food. Came here with a group of 4 around ~5 on a weekday (and more importantly, a non game day) so it wasn't busy at all. I ordered a guacamole burger ($15), waitress asked how I wanted it cooked, I said medium. It came out and was nothing special, other than the size, it was pretty big for a burger. Disappointed in the flavor of the patty itself, which was nonexistent and not medium at all. Pretty well done tbh. Fries were okay. I came here with friends for dinner before the Bulls game last night. If you are going to a game at the United Center, you should absolutely have dinner here and then take their free shuttle and keep your car parked free in their lot. This is genius of them. This has the feel of a typical sports bar. They serve great tasting sports bar food, and have decent specials even on game nights. Our server was really friendly, and refilled our water whenever we need. That was the best service I've had in a while. I had the chicken tacos, and they were great. I would get them again today if I could. Since I planned to have snacks and a drink at the game, I didn't get any appetizers or drinks. But they had appetizer specials until 5:30 and drink specials for most days of the week. There were plenty of kids in Bulls jerseys, so while it's a sports bar type place it is still family friendly. They have a large outdoor patio with an outdoor bar, actual grass for bags games, so this would be even better in the summer. They even have a large free parking lot. read more

Swung by Park Tavern before we went to the UC to watch the Bulls beat down the aging Celtics. Happy hour deals, impressive draft list of craft brews and a solid menu were what we found here. I'm always up for exploring my neighborhood and PT had been on my radar since they opened. I was pleased to see that they had happy hour and other specials going on event though there was a game at the UC. You've got to stay on your toes about those because some of the places around the WL play shenanighans with their specials and make them disappear on gamedays. Not the case here. $1 tacos and half price apps during happy hour. Since we felt like snacking we made a meal of the daily specials. spicy calamari-crispy calamari, herb-chile vinaigrette, cherry peppers animal tots-pulled pork, cheese curds, grainy mustard, fried egg, bell's kalamazoo gravy roasted red pepper hummus-cucumber, kalamata olive relish, seasoned flatbread chopped salad-iceberg, spinach, romaine, tomato, cucumber, scallion, bacon, asparagus, hard-boiled egg, croutons, herb vinaigrette Dug the calamari, it had a nice kick. Loved the animal tots and, without shame, ate it all myself. The pulled pork was good and I'm sure I'll have a sandwich of that in the future. The hummus was good and Kris liked her salad too. Tons of taps featuring some of the area's best and harder to find brews. Kris had a taster flight, I had the Founders Centennial IPA and then the Gingerbread stout from Sam Adams (yes, Sam Adams-brewer/patriot). Prices seemed reasonable. Park Tavern scored points for us with the speed of service for both food and beer. We were also on our way to the game with time to spare thanks to their shuttle to dropped us off right there. Park Tavern was pretty great. They seem to be the only place in the city that has Goose Island Bourbon Barrel line on tap. I came specifically to try the Bramble Berry variety. It is pricey and there is no tasting, but it was worth it's seeing how I purchased a bottle and gave it as a gift but was still desperately wanting to try it myself. It's like that thing of when you're a little kid and you go buy a birthday gift for your friend's bday party at Toys R Us (RIP) and you end up wanting a My Little Pony too? Yeah, that. Park Tavern helped me with that feel. The food appeared to be a pretty ok selection of the bar variety but a bit on the pricey side. Maybe I'm old school...or just straight cheap...but I always cringe a little when I see $14 to $16 for a burger. I ended up having the Firecracker Shrimp which were pretty tasty, the couple next to me ordered the MOUNTAINOUS nachos that Park Tavern offers, so maybe next time I'll go bang for my buck with those babies so that I can enjoy more of their seemingly endless selection of beers (in my case I opted for this crazy delicious pineapple cider after my Bramble Berry Bourbon). This place is a hidden gem in close proximity to the United Center and close to 290. It offers free parking and shuttle service to the United Center. Met a friend here one evening after work. We chose it primarily because of its location but the service and food were very good. Our bartender was Mike and the server Chris did a good job of making sure we were well taken care of aware of all the offerings of the tavern. I had a glass of Kung Fu Riesling and the Asian Turkey Burger with Sauteed Broccoli. It was the best turkey burger ever. It was adorned with purrrrrfect toppers and it was so frickin' juicy. I simply could not believe how good it was. The thought of it has my mouth watering all over again. It really was just that good. Slap your mama good. The not so good part was the $ upcharge for substituting broccoli. Seriously, the price difference between the fries and broccoli is $1, why am I being charged $2. Guess they prefer to you consume lots of grease. Perhaps patrons filled with grease drink more booze. No idea if this has any merit but any reason beats none at all. ...I refuse to let the stupid upcharge keep me from the Asian Turkey Burger. So until next time......... save a seat for me. What the heck has happened to this place? On my last two visits, the service has been terrible, the bathrooms filthy and the food just so so. And given I was the one on both occasions who suggested my group go here, I have to take Park Tavern off my list of pre UC places until they get their act together. Yesterday's visit had to be the worst. We had a reservation but there was no one at the hostess stand to tell that to so we just took a seat on the patio. Our server was having an off day (was she even a server?) as she didn't write things down, forgot parts of our order and at one point when we flagged her down to ask about a beer we had been waiting 30 minutes for, she said, "oh, were you the ones who ordered that beer? We're out of it" So we ordered a replacement beer which came 30 minutes later after the food and right before we had to leave to get to our event. Don't try ordering the deep dish pizza here. The server said it could take up to an hour and a half (I could call a pizza place and have one delivered in half that time!) And if you need things like napkins, plates, utensils or anything else, you might as well go into the the restaurant yourself and find it on your own. The table behind us did just that and went inside for a bucket of beers and their drinks. We had other people's food delivered to our table, drinks put down and then taken to their proper table and at one point it was such a joke that the customers were all playing "who's food is this?" and then getting it to the right table. Sadly, the place wasn't even that busy. Just horribly unorganized. I asked to speak to a manager, and when no one showed up at the table, I went inside to the bar to find the person that the server had described to us. When I asked her if she was the manager, she just shrugged and said she "guessed so". Park Tavern, you are officially off my go to list. I like when bars are dead, as Park Tavern was the night of a Rod Stewart show. I was able to comfortably watch Game 1 of the World Series, which was important, because Red Sox. No one was there to talk shit (well, except for the person sitting next to me), but aside from that, the 4 other people there couldn't have cared less. Beer, food and a giant projector to watch the Red Sox crush that other team. Heaven, right? Eh. The food was alright. The beer selection was okay. There are two other bars in the area I'd probably prefer going to, but for games most people don't care about (such as the World Series), I'd come back. read more

Came here by accident before going to Bulls game- it's a couple minutes away from the stadium and they offer a shuttle to and from the stadium for free. If you park in lot across the street they will validate your ticket. Service is excellent! Happy hour is 3-5:30 and 9-11 where they have discounts on appetizers and drinks. I got a jack n coke for only $4 and it was the perfect pour with balance of whiskey and coke. Decorated and playing music for the holidays. Such a large and nice bar. Great for lunch, after work drinks, or dinner before game/ show- anything! Now the food...we ordered house salad which is huge and has delicious Greek goddess dressing.
