Park Winters is the perfect place to make your fairytale come true! And the staff is wonderful- always professional, friendly, and responsive. John and Amber were very communicative and made our experience easy from the very beginning. We were immediately smitten when we first visited for our venue tour. We had some reservations about making our guests (a lot of whom were coming from out of state) come to the country. But once we set foot on the idyllic grounds of PW, it grabbed a hold of us and wouldn't let go! We knew we couldn't get married anywhere else. The property is absolutely stunning- I believe it would be impossible for anyone to come to any other conclusion. We got married in front of the rose and lavender garden on 5/6/17. The week before temperatures reached the upper nineties and I was worried about the roses frying, but they held on for us. Amber even sent me a video to assure me. We rented an arch and added flowers, but it was really superfluous. Park Winters' natural beauty is just so perfect, nothing more is really necessary. We had our reception in the barn and everything looked even better than I had envisioned. Again, the simple beauty of the space may be sufficient, but we did low profile fish bowl centerpieces and lots of candles to add to the ambiance. We sat at a sweetheart table and used a mix of rounds and rectangles for our ~120 guests. We also had a 7 piece band. I was worried about having enough space, but from my perspective, everything was perfect. We had to push back one of the tables once the dancing got going, but I didn't think it was too much of an issue. We stayed at the Inn the night of the wedding, as did some of my bridesmaids and a couple of other guests. The house is immaculate. Every detail was perfectly planned and executed. I highly recommend treating yourself to a night at the Inn after your wedding. It's nice not to worry about going anywhere after the reception, and Chef will treat you to a delicious breakfast in the morning (yes, the food is flawless too!). I wish we would have stayed there the night before so we could have enjoyed the grounds (and the pool!) even longer but it didn't work out logistically. My friend and I bought tickets to the flower picking experience and it was really fun. We initially went the wrong way towards the inn but called the company number and we were directed to the correct place. Rafael met us at the front and offered us water and tea and told us about park winters and directions for flower picking. He was incredible and made us feel very welcome. I would go back for other events and in cooler months for flower picking as it does get really hot. read more

So let me tell you that shopping for a wedding venue is something you want to do early. It's a maze of overpriced fluff, and scams to milk you out of your hard earned nest egg with little value to show. That is NOT what Park Winters is about. They gave us a spectacular experience that didn't break the bank. They worked with us on options, timing, budget - and the staff was second to none in courtesy, professionalism and details. Now, it wasn't cheap by any means, but it was definitely the best venue for having a wedding and family get-together on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I believe we had ~50 people or so, but they can handle much larger. They gave us options to use their catering or our own - we chose theirs. Tasting and chef come from a well known local restaurant - SPECTACULAR to say the least. No cafeteria food! NOBODY had anything but wonderful remarks on the food - including myself - and I'm a foodie snob! Plenty of parking very close by for guests, but out of sight thanks to beautiful trees and plants. And a tiny little walking path to get from parking into the most pleasant country setting you could imagine! They have a giant converted barn - and that's an understatement. High quality finishing throughout, heated and cooled, giant paneled windows overlooking the vineyard out back and an "eternal fireplace" on the back patio to relax by while enjoying the sunset. There's a pool and a hot tub a few steps away, yes you can use it! (My brother-in-law swimming in cut-offs after dinner will be memorable!) The home has plenty of room for bride, groom, entourage, your own chef, etc... There's a second small quarters just off the kitchen of the main house if you need a bit more room. What did I miss? DID I MENTION THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL, PATIENT AND SO HELPFUL?!?!?!? I think I did... :) They will work with your DJ, your photographer, whatever else you have coming - or they have recommended vendors they can align with. Flexible, easy going, professional, and everything they did was wonderful! There are fountains, a garden, many areas to hold the ceremony, or just walk off for some privacy and enjoy the view. You can gather, you can sprawl, and you can find comfortable seating almost anywhere and just soak it all in. We just got married here, outstanding! Honestly, we didn't even look at a second venue when we were looking 6 months ago. They sold us from the first walk through. This place has it all and does it Top notch. I've been to quite a few weddings and maybe I'm biased, but when everyone tells you how well it went and beautiful it was you have to agree at some point because it wasn't just my opinion! Amazing. The Inn at Park Winters is a hidden gem. As an event planner for 20+ years, I was beyond impressed with the venue grounds, staff professionalisim, and quality catering. Chef Gabriel created a dinner to be remembered by all guests. Every server, every attendant, every bartender, every groundskeeper and the owners should be very proud of the venue and experience they have created. I am getting married at Park Winters in July of 2017 and they have been nothing but outstanding since the moment I contacted them about a visit. The property is more than magical and offers something that you can't find anywhere else. The owners treat you like royalty and go above and beyond to make sure that EVERY experience surpasses all your expectations. Before booking my wedding I asked to do a food tasting - since I'm a total foodie and I wanted to make sure everything was up to my standards. The food blew my mind. It was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. I was thinking about doing a dessert table and they even had their pastry chef put a few things together for me to try. It truly was a five-star experience. I haven't even had my event yet and I am already blown away by the love and attention to detail that John and Rafael give to every person that steps onto their unique and breathtaking property. I know that John reads the Yelp reviews and I remember him telling me that he looses sleep over the possibility of getting poor ones (if this doesn't show you how much they care, then nothing will). We stay at a lot B&Bs when we travel, and Park Winters ranks among the best we've experienced. For starters, the grounds are second to none. It's a lush oasis surrounded by farmland, with an incredible variety of wildlife, fruit and nut trees, an organic garden, a small marsh with loads of tiny frogs, fountains, a koi pond (including a cute little turtle), a salt water pool, lots of native and drought tolerant plants in bloom, and so on. You could spend hours just poking around the 10-acre property and still not see everything it has to offer. And the accommodations are just as wonderful. The house is beautiful, giving you a Victorian-luxury experience with all the modern amenities. We stayed in the Fountain Room, which as you might guess is just above one of the property's fountains. We just left the window open at night and enjoyed the sound of the water. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was spacious. It even has a little balcony with chairs. Breakfasts by Chef Sharon were first rate, with several items to sample/choose from each day. Day one included a yogurt parfait, honey-glazed muffins, a quiche-like dish, and a puff pastry with shrimp and cheese (which was excellent, even though I'm not usually a shrimp fan!). On day two we had fried pineapple with yogurt, eggs with potato latkes, and polenta with goat cheese and figs. Sharon was very friendly, and we had fun talking to her while we ate. We also had the chance to meet and chat with the owners, John and Rafael, and their on-site manager Katie. All of them were very solicitous and super friendly. They even offered to let us harvest and take home figs from their fig forest -- made up of numerous 100-year-old fig trees -- which we gladly did. The amazing thing is that we had the B&B to ourselves both days (in terms of other guests). It seems that they've mainly been focused on hosting weddings and other events, and they're building the B&B side -- especially during the week -- more slowly. I really do not know where to begin! My fiancé and I just booked our June 2013 wedding at Park Winters and we could not be any happier or more excited to have our celebration at such an amazing venue! The Venue itself is GORGEOUS! There are so many amazing details that have not gone unnoticed by the owners as they have refurbished the home and the grounds. Every where you turn there is a new discovery: a koi fish pond, an old homestead, a hidden orchard, a gorgeous pool, and that is just outside! The house itself is full of beautiful bedrooms, bathrooms that while clean and modern, still have that perfect touch of Victorian elegance. Every detail has been thought of: wi-fi, climate controlled rooms, sound systems--you name it! With over 10 acres and a house for guests to stay in, there are so many options for customize your perfect wedding day (or weekend) at Park Winters. While the photos are beautiful, they truly do not do it justice. So if you are unsure, book a tour and you will fall in love the minute you arrive. If you don't you will be in love by the time you leave. As far as pricing and services Park Winters is very competitive. My fiancé and I did a lot of research on venues within the greater San Francisco Bay area and near Sacramento as well. There was nothing we could find that even came close to what Park Winters offered. Not only are you given the chance to have the grounds for the entire weekend of your wedding if you wish, it is also affordable! Most places that were affordable lacked the intimacy and sophistication that Park Winters offers. We have booked for the weekend for less than what many places in the Bay Area cost for ONE night of 4-5 hours! As for the owners, John has been a dream to work with during the booking process. He is always available to answer questions or emails and willing to give a tour of the property. They appear incredibly flexible to help cater to and help create your perfect wedding. As our wedding has a large wedding party and a number of international guests, we had a lot of hiccups while trying to settle on a date, but John was a dream to work with and made the process as easy and seamless as possible. We drove up for the day to celebrate a friend's art show that was hosted at the venue, and our friend's description did not do it justice. I am sitting in the hot tub thinking about my wife and I arriving 48 hours ago for a wedding. We drove through about 30 minutes worth of farmland and were really skeptical about the type of place we would find out here. It seemed like such a weird location to put a wedding venue especially for the cost. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the attention that had been paid to every detail. There was a great amount of time spent designing the grounds and even more keeping it up. I know we are in the middle of farmland, but with the high bushes and amenities we could literally be anywhere. I think the real surprise is the staff. They treat this like it is their business. They work really hard to make you feel like you are a guest in their home. I travel regularly and this is arguably some of the best service I have ever received. One has to wonder how in the world they found all of these exceptional people who understand what it means to deliver phenomenal customer service. Eva, Diana and Emily were so pleasant to be around and really made our stay awesome. How many times is something BETTER in person then in the pictures online? NEVER. But from the moment I drove up to the Inn at Park Winters to scout it for our wedding, it was magical. John Martin escorted us around the property and it was a unanimous YES from everyone. Their attention to detail is impeccable and they have hired a stellar group of people. Everyone makes you feel comfortable and pampered. Every time we visited PW in our planning stages, they had added something incredible to the property. The event barn, the step-down garden, the concrete pathways, the "Alice In Wonderland" pool entrance door. I can't imagine what's next but I am truly jealous of future brides who get to have their wedding at Park Winters, because it will be epic. I can't wait to celebrate our future anniversaries there. The event planners, Sara and Shauna, were AMAZING!! They were both incredibly patient and their relaxed yet professional attitude was a dream to work with during the entire planning process. Sara was a special joy to work with. My mom said it best, "I'd hire her if I were them too." The event staff and bartenders made the evening go by seamlessly. They even brought towels out for the guests staying the night, who jumped into the pool after the wedding was over. Park Winters holds an extra special place for me, because that's where I married my husband in October 2013. The May before we got married we spent the night and that afternoon took engagement photos (with the fabulous Crystal Lynn Collins) and it was a great way to explore all of the various nooks and crannies that the property has to offer. Park Winters has multiple selling points, but the ability to have so many different backdrops for pictures is a definite plus. As a venue it was fantastic. We used the venue the entire weekend. We did a casual wood fired pizza rehearsal dinner in the barn the night before. The bartenders were fantastic and the set up looked great. I didn't want our wedding to feel like a rehash of the rehearsal dinner, and being able to have it in the barn and the wedding outside it truly felt like two different places. The day of went off beautifully, with one minor hiccup that John and the rest of the staff more than adequately handled (and quickly)! It was great to see the set-up was taking place the morning and everyone who attend the wedding mentioned what a great venue Park Winters is (a sentiment I completely agree with). Staying at the Inn itself is also fantastic, the rooms are wonderfully apportioned and if you can spend a bit of time, it's wonderful to relax in near the pool and have breakfast outside in the gardens. What a great place this is and John has been terrific to work with. As the owner of Ultra Limousine Service, I am impressed by their forethought in using this historic space for a variety of functions. I really like that fact that there are no tiny and narrow roads to negotiate in the dark. Their $15K package is quite moderately priced, especially when you realize that this includes the rehearsal dinner venue (the barn has been perfectly fitted out for parties), five B&B rooms in their Victorian Inn, a massive pool with a "beachfront entry" and lots of activities for kids and adults alike during the down time. They are booking up fast for 2013 and haven't even started an advertising campaign. I foresee that Park Winters will become the pre-eminent country wedding destination for folks from the Bay Area. Guests who want to make a weekend of it can stay at a hotel in one of three charming small towns (Winters, Davis and Woodland all have lots of interesting things to see and do), or at the Cache Creek Casino. Ultra will be shuttling wedding guests from a variety of locations to and from Park Winters this September. I participated in a wedding at Park Winters. The wedding party spent the weekend at the inn, and from the set up on Friday to the final swim party the day after the wedding, the owners (John and Rafael) went out of their way to assure that everything about the weekend was exactly what the couple wanted. The grounds are beyond amazing, the rooms are gorgeous, and the staff is helpful and hospitable. Every detail has been lovingly and meticulously planned by the owners, and they don't leave it to staff to make sure things are perfect. I have to agree with the reviewer below about the person complaining about mosquitoes...you ever been to the country? And I think that if anyone was "snippy," it wouldn't have been one of the owners (in fact, I think that the owners would have serious problems with anyone on their staff acting that way). PW is not just a business to the owners, it's their baby. You can tell that customer satisfaction is top on their priority list. Can't wait to attend another event at Park Winters! read more

We went to check out Park Park winters and knew it was the spot for out wedding weekend the second we got there. Each step of the planning, tasting, rehearsal and wedding were flawless. The food was excellent. I don't eat dairy or meat and they were so helpful and accommodating. The appetizers were my favorite. So beautiful and tasty. The grounds and the house were amazing. We stayed 2 nights with our whole wedding party and it felt like a mini getaway with no stress. The best part however is the people. Me and my husband celebrated our wedding at Park Winters in April - the perfect day (or rather weekend) truly!!! We came here a year before the planned wedding date and the moment we entered the grounds I knew that this was it. This place has this special magic which instantly calms and comforts you when you set foot on it. I can say that our guests from all around the world were all equally enchanted by the place. We hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday night , the wedding on Saturday and a farewell brunch on Sunday morning. From the moment we arrived until we left everything was being taken care of by the Park Winters staff. John and his entire crew are incredibly warm hearted, approachable and professional in everything they do. I can say that I wouldn't do anything differently if I were to do it again - we had Chef & Baker catering, Function 45 as DJ, Kate Whelan as wedding planner for the day of and Charleton Churchill as our wedding photographer. From other people's warnings I expected at least three things to go wrong around the wedding (that seems to be the norm) - but absolutely everything was perfect. The wedding planner and the Park Winters team worked hand in hand at all times and over the whole wedding day I only had to answer two questions from the wedding planner. That was it! From the overall flow to the little details and the timing of cocktails, food, etc - everything went like clockwork. The photographer got so many beautiful pictures that he provided double the amount of great pictures he usually gets out of a wedding. Every corner of Park Winters is a perfect photo backdrop, ready to be used for a movie worthy picture which you will want to see for years to come. What can I say about the Inn at Park Winters that hasn't already been said? Here's my attempt. First and foremost it's all about the people and the people at Park Winters rock! From proprietors John and Rafael to their wonderful staff, attention to detail was the rule not the exception. The location. When you enter, it feels like walking through the looking glass to a place only read about in fantasy novels. The mansion is truly amazing and the grounds are meticulously kept. My favorite place was of course the hot tub but the bedroom in the watch tower came in as a close second. Last, we didn't go for a wedding or any special event. It was just a weekend away in wine country in a location close enough to Napa and Sonoma but far enough away that we didn't feel the crush of the tourist crowds. Thanks John and Rafael! read more

I had my wedding at Park Winters in the Fall of 2017 (just now getting to a review, but better late than never!), and I don't even know where to start in explaining how great my experience was. Everything about Park Winters is absolutely stunning; from the house, to the grounds, to the surrounding farm land. To top it off, they have the nicest team. The owner, John, is so sweet and Amber (my event planning point of contact) was a rock star. I am full of gratitude to John and Amber (and the whole staff) as all of their efforts played a part in my dream wedding. Here is the play by play of my experience... The planning process - Working with the Park Winters team was smooth, easy and fun! They were always available to answer any and all of my questions, and they always made me feel welcome when we stopped by to see the property. If you have an idea that is outside of the box, they are willing to work with you as they want to make sure that your vision comes to reality. The food - WOW! When I was researching venues, all of the reviews for Park Winters said how great the food was... well let me tell you, they aren't lying! The first time I tried their food was at our food tasting to select what we would serve at our wedding. It was so hard to choose, everything was so good! On the day of the wedding everything was executed so flawlessly, and the food tasted as good as it did in the trial; the food was hot (with 200 guests that is a big task!) and the presentation was beautiful. I also love how they use local and seasonal ingredients. In addition to the food, their bartenders create beautiful craft cocktails that are delicious. The big day - The staff at Park Winters are top notch. From the moment we arrived the morning of the wedding to get ready, they made us feel right at home and continuously checked on us to see if we needed anything. The whole house is so beautiful, and kept in immaculate condition. The guest rooms are gorgeous, and make for a fairytale-like backdrop for the bride to get ready in. The property itself is a gem nestled amongst such beautiful farm land; there is a beautiful view in every direction that you look. Thanks to the Park Winters Staff, the wedding flowed perfectly and went off without a hitch. I love how there are so many areas on the property for guests to explore. During the reception, there was something for everyone: dancing in the barn, relaxing by the fire outside, smoking a cigar in the cigar lounge area. The day after - We opted to stay the night at the venue in the guest rooms with our entire bridal party which made for a fun party into the wee hours of the night after the rest of the wedding guests departed. The next morning, Park Winters had breakfast for us in the barn, which was beautiful, delicious, and a special time to talk all about the night before. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Park Winters. They are such a great team of people with so much passion for what they do. The pictures of Park Winters are beautiful but what is so unique about Park Winters is not only the beauty you are surrounded by, but also the way it makes you feel. Its very enchanting, romantic, cozy, welcoming! The list goes on and on. Our wedding was 5/23/2014 with about 55 people and our friends and family can't stop talking about how amazing our wedding us and how much they loved Park Winters. My husband and I just had our wedding at Park Winters last weekend and it couldn't have been more PERFECT! We got amazing compliments from everyone about the venue, the service and food. We were able to stay the night there with our wedding party and the night before which made it feel like a mini destination wedding!!! I seriously cannot say enough good things about Park Winters but will try to list them all below. 1. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself. The place is impeccable and they spare no details. This made decorating for the wedding easy - I barely had to do anything!! White orchids, vases with candles and few other touches. 2. The service is outstanding. There was never a moment when I was looking for someone to answer a question. The staff anticipated every need and even offered things I wanted but didn't know I wanted until they had done it! Amber is sooooo helpful in every way in the planning process - could not have done this without her. John and Rafael clearly know what they are doing and you can tell they truly want people to enjoy their time there. The best part is that everyone is there for you and happy to help but not overly in your way or face. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING in every way imaginable! 3. The food is excellent. Every guest raved about it and even though I was running around trying to talk to all the guests during dinner I ate EVERY bite of my salmon. I even overheard someone say "I thought wedding food was supposed to be mediocre? This is amazing." 4. Park Winters made our dream wedding a reality! All the staff, including bar tenders, owners, house host and servers were some of the nicest and most accommodating people I've ever met! The food was incredible and the property itself is spectacular. Many of our guests told us our wedding at Park Winters was the "best wedding we've been to". Park Winters is hands down absolutely fabulous in every way. The venue is immaculate and the staff kind, professional and efficient. The event manager Amber is super helpful and always quick to reply to emails. She really knows her job inside and out! They are very accommodating and really make it all happen flawlessly. Make no mistake, Park Winters is simply the most beautiful, magical location with the highest quality staff. I cannot imagine anyone having an event here that is anything short of perfection. There is no picture, no positive review, no possible description that can convey just how incredible it is to have Park winters as part of your special event. We chose PW sight-unseen for our July 20 wedding, a choice made solely on online reviews and word-of-mouth, at it was the best decision we could have ever made. The grounds are lush and exquisite and provide a wide variety of beautiful indoor, outdoor, formal, or casual event space options. Plus they are so well furnished that there is very little need for additional decor. This was a huge plus to me, as I was planning this as a destination event, since I would need to ship nearly everything I would need. John and Erin were incredible to work with- flexible, knowledgeable, and willing to go above and beyond to make our day special, and more importantly EASY. I work in the event services industry, and we have a saying: "Service=expectation+1". the "Plus 1" being the little bit extra you can do to exceed the standard. PW is most definitely a "Plus 1" establishment. Not only were they and their venue outstanding, they were able to direct me to a variety of vendors that were also exceedingly talented, reliable, thorough, and easy to work with. Choosing Park Winters as our wedding venue (July 2017) was the ultimate "it" factor that absolutely MADE our wedding. It was the very first venue we toured, and then after visiting 6-7 other venues and meeting with their owners, we just kept coming back to Park Winters in our minds. After seeing the stunning property, there really was no comparison. The lush greenery on the grounds that are maintained to perfection, the absolutely gorgeous Victorian inn, and the immaculate white wood reception "barn" made us fall in love from day 1. It was the venue of our dreams, and that was before we even knew exactly how DREAMY it was going to become! Throughout the planning process, Amber (the event coordinator) and John & Rafael (the owners) couldn't have possibly been more wonderful to work with. They were extremely responsive and helpful for the year-long planning process, and answered EVERY inquiry I had thoroughly and promptly -- and I had a LOT! When it came time to the final months leading up to our wedding, we began to see the true "Park Winters magic" really kick into gear. At our detailing meeting a couple months before the big day, we learned that when everyone talks about how mindblowingly good the food at Park Winters is, they're not exaggerating in the least. We were greeted with a full-fledged menu tasting complete with appetizers, and more cocktails than we knew what to do with -- all of which were riiiiii-diculously tasty, and I am NOT a "cocktail person". If Park Winters is your wedding venue, know right now that your guests will not have the average wedding dinner. Their food is truly some of the best we have ever had. The housekeeping and groundskeeping staff were absolute angels: sooooo helpful, a moment never passed where there wasn't someone checking in to make sure all of our needs were taken care of. When my husband and I woke up the morning after our wedding, I was greeted with fresh coffee and tea, and later, the most BEAUTIFUL morning-after brunch. Holy cow!!! No standard "continental breakfasts" here (well, NOTHING is "standard" here for that matter) -- all of our overnight guests were treated to a delicious full-service buffet on the patio. It was unreal, and the perfect way to spend the morning after our wedding. The #1 thing that comes to my mind when I reflect on our wedding at Park Winters is their incredible attention to detail. NO detail is too small, and EVERY detail is paid attention to. The drinks, decor, layout and timeline were all customized exactly to our preference, and when it came time for the big day, the Park Winters team executed flawlessly. It is sooooo apparent that everyone there truly cares about your day being perfect, and that they are no rookies to the wedding business -- we took such a sigh of relief knowing every detail was in the hands of true professionals. Wedding day came, and my husband and I truly felt like first class guests at our own wedding. All we had to do was show up to the most perfectly executed event I have ever seen, and have a blast. End of story. My maid of honor said it best: "Park Winters has the 'wow factor' down, 100%." We had soooooo many compliments from our guests using the words "best ever": "Best food ever." "Prettiest ceremony site ever." "Coolest reception barn ever." I could literally go on and on shouting from the rooftops how amazing Park Winters was (is!!!!). This place already has so much compliments and all I can say is this venue and its staff are simply awesome and they totally deserve all these 5 stars rating! I'm the girl who knows exactly what she wants, but with a small budget and tiny wedding size (21 ppl), I was worried that I may have to settle for something that I like, not love for our venue, and one day, voila! I found Inn at Park Winters on Wedding Wire and this place is really EVERYTHING that I could have hoped for! Everything was just beautiful and gorgeous and I simply don't have anything that I'd even want to change! Even though my wedding was small both in size and budget, we were still treated with the best services. John, Sara, Monica and Shauna all helped me so much during courses of planning, and Shauna and that staff of our wedding day especially went over and beyond their way to help us set up the tables and offered guidance to the flow of the ceremony because my husband and I were short on people to set up (no wedding planner) and quite clueless on the wedding traditions even when that was not their responsibility. I don't have my wedding video/photos yet but I can just imagine them to turn out beautifully because we had such a great time hosting our wedding there. I only wished I had more time to walk around the property so I can imprint the scenery in my brain XD To me this is THE PLACE to have my wedding and I wouldn't change it for any where else. If you are looking for a romantic and rustic location to have your wedding, definitely give this place a tour. We have stayed at Park Winters numerous times. John, Rafael, Eva and the entire team are amazing hosts. The location is surprising - just unbelievable the oasis they have created.
