    FFFF. Friday fish fry
    Tim K.

Before we start about the food, I must say the view is wonderful. Hard to beat sitting out on a deck on a warm summer's night, overlooking a lake. This was my first trip here. It was a good night to enjoy a nice evening outside with good friends and a good meal. Three of the four of us ordered the Friday fish fry. The fish was cod. The portion was good but the fish was salty. The other person ordered the Yak burger and said it was good. We had two appetizers, the Asian and the spinach/artichoke dip. The both were ok. A pet peeve is getting hit with a $6 credit card fee at the end of the meal. No heads up, no warning just a dropped off check with this surprise surcharge on it. This is the first time I've been hit with such a fee on my food. I'm sure there are other restaurants that do the same thing. If the Loft has an issue with credit card fees then either don't except credit cards, charge more for your food, or at minimum give your customers a heads up.

Went to the loft for dinner on a Wednesday night. I ordered a glass of wine and a yak burger. The burger was delicious! The service was a tad slow but they were super busy and I didn't mind sitting there looking at the beautiful view. I'll definitely be back!

Mostly gone Spinach and Artichoke dip. But OMG! The fresh ingredients!!

We have come here quite a few times over the last 5 years, living just 10 minutes away. I've always given it great reviews for staff and the view. The food has always been " top Sysco" truck stuff - kind of like an Applebee's or something. I don't even know how to put my finger on it. Maybe it's the smaller menu due to 'Rona. Maybe they have a new chef - but WOW!! They've really stepped up their game! The Spinach and Artichoke Dip app was handmade. It wasn't some overly creamed out of a can dip. The ingredients were big and tasty! In fact, I only really have pictures of the after because we ate it so fast! The wife had her usual Steak Salad and the steak was done better than ever. I nervously ordered the Reuben - knowing full well in upstate NY it often is devoid of anything but a tiny bit of Sauerkraut. Everything on this Sammie was perfect NYC grade. The corned beef had a smoky hint to it. The cheese and thousand island dressing were perfectly portioned. The Mac salad side had this amazing mustard taste to it. Drinks were great. Staff picked up on us quick even though we were sitting on a packed deck next to a fairly demanding large party. Always nice and always trying to please. Did I mention the view? We love it so much we literally just bought a house that shares a border with this golf course with the same view! If you are in the area, is it Beak and Skiff, have a tasting, but for sure eat and enjoy the sunset at the Loft! This is a must visit.

Scallops. Oh...and a comforting red wine.

Great dinner. Outstanding rainbow trout and delicious scallops. Totally surprised me. Perfectly cooked and scallops so tender. Excellent service and reasonable prices.

Everything when well with the food, it was takeout. I can't review the service, except my order was ready on time

Beautiful views high above Otisco Lake. I recommend the Yak burger, they're large, juicy and somehow pretty healthy I guess

The mushrooms were barely cooked, and the sandwich was dry. I even requested au jus in an attempt to salvage it, but unfortunately that didn't help. To make matters worse, my side salad was initially forgotten. To the server's credit, she removed the sandwich from my bill and offered to bring me something else. However, by that point I had lost confidence in the meal and declined. I ultimately ended up eating only the side salad. While the service recovery was appreciated, the food itself was a major disappointment. In the end, the only thing I ate was the side salad, which cost $8 on its own. While I appreciate the server's efforts to make things right, the food quality and execution were far below expectations. I left hungry, disappointed, and unlikely to return.

The inside is very nice and big, we took sat at the bar because we were just having a drink and appetizer. They didn't have a drink menu, which I thought was odd. However, the bartender made us a delicious drink she said her version of Bay Breeze was a Sunset Pines, and we got two for $15. They were amazing!! We just went with the mozzarella sticks for $9 for our munchie and they were good.

We originally sat outside but it was a little noisy with the cars going by at the stop light. We moved inside and had the best time. The service was great! Our waitress was so nice and attentive. I ordered Loni's red flight, one of my friends ordered the pomegranate hibiscus fizz with tequila instead of vodka, and my other friend ordered Trista's white flight. We got the crispy Brussel sprouts to start with and they were delicious. For our entrees we ordered the Mediterranean rice bowl, beer battered fish and chips, and the zesty chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. All three were really good and full of flavor. Once we finished eating the table was cleared and then I ordered a slice of carrot cake. When it was brought out they had added a candle and came over to sing happy birthday to me, including the owner, and it was the perfect finish to our dinner. The cake was amazing! Thank you so much to the staff and owner for making my birthday so special. Can't wait to come back again!

If you're stopping in for a drink and to hang out, it's probably a solid spot. The food, though, was a major letdown. My steak sandwich was disappointing, and the "side" of onion rings was literally four individual pieces. Four. That's not a side -- that's a garnish. The nachos were worse. Lukewarm Velveeta poured over completely unseasoned shredded chicken, brown guacamole that looked like it had been sitting out too long, and everything about it felt rushed -- like it was thrown together in two minutes without a second thought. The emphasis was clearly on quantity over quality. Her chicken sandwich wasn't any better -- bland, unseasoned, and somehow still had the pattern from the frozen packaging imprinted on the bottom. That's not a great sign. Bottom line: nice place to grab a drink. But unless you're already inebriated and not paying attention, I'd skip the food.

Bottom Line Up Front: Worth the money - YES…read moreFriends and Family Recommendation - YES Yelp Bookmark-able -YES One of my biggest pet peeves regarding dining out is spending good money on average to sub par or poor food. Rest assured, that is not the case when it comes to Stone Creek. From the moment we walked through the front door the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The decor/ ambiance was a pleasant mix between relaxed/casual to upscale. Nothing fancy or pretentious, but welcoming and inviting. Although I'm a local I've not eaten here until tonight...a point I regret. I'm a steak snob that often finds numerous faults in a steak I get in a restaurant knowing I could do better at home. This was not the case tonight. My ribeye was cooked to perfection, was full of flavor, tender and juicy. That alone would bring me back for more, but the mushroom cream I had as a side was spectacular and took my experience to an all never level of enjoyment. My wife had the seared ahi tuna with a duck confetti fried rice. I sampled it...another success story there. I've read plenty of reviews about the price...but I'm here to tell you that the $ is in perfect alignment with the quality, flavor and portions received. I have ZERO negative comments and for the sake of brevity I can only say this.....I WILL BE BACK!!!
