He said he didn't know so someone else came down and said sorry we charge fix price per fill. Bring it when it's empty he said. For $10 bucks, you wanna lose business go ahead then spend 5 times more in advertising to attract a customer. Sometimes it's not about the money, it's about how you make your customer feel. I go elsewhere now where I pay by the gallons.

HOWEVER... delivery was scheduled... the driver called at 11:45 to tell us they would be there in 20 minutes. At 12:00 I received a text stating "they could not complete our delivery" and someone would call to reschedule. WHAT?? Well apparently, due to a storm, there was a tree down on a street in our neighborhood (not ours) and the drivers chose not to detour the ONE MINUTE it would have taken them to go around the block. They just called 15 minutes earlier... they couldn't call me back??? I immediately called the delivery number they gave me and was told the drivers could NOT turn around, and the next delivery date was several days out. I went above and beyond to prepare for this delivery... even putting the old refrigerator right by the door for them. The drivers must be in the business of losing money for the company... after this debacle we immediately cancelled the order and purchased elsewhere.

They call you with an automated call, which is supppse to give you half an hour to be on site, and then they might come as quickly as 10 instead and will insist the customer handle it and push to let them drop the skid somewhere undesirable... and when they say curbside, they mean "Bottom of the driveway" and if you aren't here fast enough too bad, enjoy hand bombing stuff an extra time in 90 degree weather. The staff is vigilante, ready to defend the errors that their drivers or staff make. They will try to make you feel like you don't know there policy and procedures well enough, even when you have been going to them for years. Not only will you still be super mad by the time the conversation is over, but nothing will be rectified and they will keep making mistakes and putting the blame on the customer.

Know what level of quality you need, and you'll do quite well here.

Grossman's specializes in close outs and has a little less selection than the big box stores, but still has tons to offer. They have flooring, doors, windows, bathroom vanities, tubs, toilets, kitchen cabinets, countertops, and a ton more. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and will help you with any questions you may have. One of my cabinets arrived with a scratch, and the manager quickly ordered a replacement for me and gave me his store email so I could contact him as needed for my cabinet install. Come here from time to time…read more This store is HUGE. Prices are more than Nh... but so is everything so I don't really complain. Nothing *crazy* to state.... It's Home Depot not a nightclub but the plants always seem healthy. Last time I was here there was a confrontation between the police and an Asian gentlemen. I watched for awhile and nothing spectacular came of it. Kinda would say that's the *vibe* for this store. One other time this lady who worked here was rude... I was here right at opening and went to walk in and boy she shut those doors quick. Idk why they were unlocked but I didn't unlock them and thus was a little taken again. Figured that was just a once off. For all of these reasons, 4/5 ... maybe 85/100 if this was a test. We could call it a "B"

They excelled in customer service and inventory. I needed a small section of shelving to replace the warped and bowed pressboard shelf that came with our house. I measured up what we needed, found a suitable replacement (Medium Density Fiberboard) and asked one of their sales associates to cut it to size for me, No problem -zip, zip, zip and it was done. As part of our remodeling initiative we needed a new medicine cabinet, shower light, and some high powered light bulbs for the living room lamps. We were very impressed by the quantity and selection they had on the shelves and we ended up getting everything we wanted. Home Depots are not all alike, We've previously visited their locations in West Hartford, Bloomfield, Torrington, and Southington. And I will look you right in the eye and tell you the Glastonbury store was the very best Home Depot we've ever seen.
