The updates on my service were great. Even a nice video explaining what they were looking at under my car. My normal checkup, oil change, and a bulb replacement was completed in a timely manner. We are new to the area and were hoping to establish a long-term service relationship for our Ford Bronco. Unfortunately, our experience with this service department was disappointing from the moment I walked in. When I entered for the first time, two male employees were standing together with clipboards talking to one another. Rather than greeting me, both turned so their backs were toward me. I stood there awkwardly waiting for assistance that never came. I eventually approached someone seated behind a computer who told me he would be my service advisor. The very first thing he said was, "We don't do this sort of thing on the weekends," even though it was Friday and I had a scheduled appointment. He followed with, "I hope somebody informed you... it's going to be a few days." Starting the interaction by explaining what you don't do set the tone for the entire experience. When I asked if they could replace the registration sticker inside the windshield while the vehicle was there, I was told, "I don't know if they can do that -- I'd hate for them to ruin the windshield." That response did not further inspire confidence. I requested a different service manager and ultimately had a warranty repair completed (the car had a rattle in the muffler I brought the car in after making an appointment, to service this specific issue). An oil change and tire rotation were "recommended" at 16,000 miles (we had full synthetic done at 10,000), still I agreed to proceed with the additional services. The vehicle was in their possession for a full week. When it was returned, there were significant new scratches on the tires and a shiny screw embedded in one of them. I noticed the scratches and screw and asked to speak with a manager. The service manager claimed he "thought it was there" when I dropped the car off and referenced photos he stated were taken before service. However, the damage was not present when we delivered the vehicle. After a week in the shop -- including a tire rotation and multi-point inspection -- missing a visible screw raises serious concerns about the thoroughness of the service performed. The lack of professionalism, and accountability was extremely disappointing -- especially with a newer vehicle and as customers hoping to build a trusted service relationship in a new community. Due to our experience, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this service department. read more

Buyer Beware! I was ready to move forward on a new vehicle that looked great online -- until I saw the actual numbers on paper. What they advertise online and what they present in person are two completely different things. When I asked about all the extra add-ons and charges, the salesperson couldn't even explain what was on paper. And instead of trying to clarify or answer my questions, he just completely ignored my messages. After reviewing the paperwork he sent me and doing my own research, I found out they tried to sneak in a $3,000 ceramic protection coating -- something I never asked for or agreed to. Just had my 2021 f150 serviced at this dealership. Oil change and tire rotation. My wife then drove our grandchildren back to Charlotte 3.5 hrs up and 3.5 hrs back. Once home I was looking the truck over and found a missing luggage nut on the right front wheel. I decided to check the remaining lugs and found loose luggage nuts on the right rear, left rear, and left front wheels. Fortunately one luggage on each wheel. This is careless on the part of the service department and reflects poor quality, and a complete lack of concern for safety. Do not let them service your vehicle. This place completely wasted my time. I was told by the "internet manager" Kelli that Summerville Ford is interested in buying my car. I let her know I was selling privately since you can't see the odometer reading but she insisted that the appraiser, Leland said he'd still take it. I verified again, and she said yes, he will still take it. So I drove 35 minutes to the dealership. After waiting for the appraisal, Leland came back and said he can't take it because he can't see the odometer reading. I asked, why did you say you'd take it then?? Absolutely WORST service ever. We had water damage in our truck from the recent tropical storm. Long story short, it's a cosmetic issue and negligence through two different third parties, the dealership and Safelite. We were initially told by Ford that they would repair the issue via our warranty, but are now refusing accountability and expecting us to pay for all damages. There was absolutely no recourse for something that we didn't cause and will NEVER purchase here or recommend them to anyone. They had bulges on the inside , really? Thats tire defects not wear and tear. Then the check engine light came on. They told me it was a recall on the catalytic converter but it just needed to be reset. They come to my house to reset it, tell me I am all good and guess what it leaves me on the side of the road at night. My wife and I went to look at the Ford Transits they had on the lot. We met a salesman, and we took one with low miles for a test drive. Shortly after we started driving, my wife said she smelled vomit. So I turned the van around and headed back to the dealership. The smell was coming from the passenger seat belt. Then we drove another one with higher mileage. It drove nicer than the other and we liked it. Inside, the salesman brought us a paper with the price, and we said it was too high. Then Elvis came out and introduced himself. He started with small talk, and then he prepared himself for what he thought was the most awesome move to sucker people in to thinking he was some great, honest guy. He said he was going to do something unheard of in auto sales. He said things have changed, and the market was tight, and you can't mark up cars like they used to. He took us back to his desk and in all his glory, he was revealing what they actually paid for it. Plus, they added lo jack and a lifetime warranty for the engine and drive train. Oh my gosh, they were losing money on the deal. We were totally amazed by this, but not really. You see Elvis thought an older couple would not even look at what they advertised it for which was $6000.00 higher than what was quoted online for both vehicles. After that, I showed him on my phone what they had it priced at. My wife then stared him down and said nothing for about 7 seconds. I recently brought my car to the Summerville, SC Ford service center to fix a serious recall issue, and I am extremely disappointed with the experience. First of all, I had been waiting for months to get this recall fixed, and no one called me to inform me that they had the parts in stock. This recall could have caused serious damage if not fixed, yet they did not call me when the part arrived. When I dropped the car off, they had the nerve to say I should have brought it in sooner. I ordered the recall part months ago and was told they would call when it arrived. My wife and I only own one personal car, and the Ford service center refused to loan us a car for the week they anticipated needing for the service. They claimed there was a waitlist for loaner vehicles. If Ford creates the issue requiring service and that service takes a week, they should provide a replacement vehicle. If they don't have any loaners, they should arrange a rental car. This situation is ridiculous! What is my wife supposed to do with our 3-year-old for a week without a car? Lastly, the excessive fees Ford charged for general maintenance were outrageous. They charged more for labor than for the parts themselves--$30 for an air filter and $40 for labor. It doesn't take two hours to pull out an air filter and stick a new one in. Overall, I am extremely displeased and unlikely to return to Ford for servicing. I prefer going to the dealership to ensure my car is handled well and service records are tracked properly for warranty purposes. Not providing us with a rental car for over a week for a recall issue that is their fault is outrageous! Then, to top it off, they charge exorbitant labor fees for quick and cheap parts. Pay attention to the reviews that say run from this place. I had my airbag recall done here and the results are sickening. They put a black airbag in my taupe dash. It's not flush, does not fit correctly. I am told all the airbag replacements are black and I have to live with this. Contacted Ford with this, their advice is to go back to the dealership. Why would I? This mess is my beloved Milan After quite a few unanswered calls I was finally put in touch with a woman who put me in touch with Joey. He addressed my issue with the bad airbag replacement and ordered a new one to be installed next week. He has been professional, polite, and obviously concerned with setting this right. So unfortunate that this has to be rated a one star, but it needs to be told. 1. Beware of the extra service charges that are added onto your already high overrated repair cost. From you need a battery to windshield wipers. 2. Whether you have an appointment or not, twice it took 9 days to complete. Trying to call and get a response was limited to a few text messages and no return phone calls. I was told they had the parts to fix it, therefore why did it take so long? 3. Two tune-ups in one year, $1,200 dollars later now, I have a bad coil and valve sensor they wanted over $900 dollars to fix that. Within the last year, service has been deteriorating. read more

I only visited this location to complain about an employee. I had followed behind on a golf cart. He pulled into the spot in-between two handicapped parking spots in the golf cart. Being a handicapped placard holding I was going to park in one of those spots to go into a store. When I said something to him...in his Summerville Ford shirt he practically ignored me and never apologized. So, I waited for my daughter to finish her business in the store and we went to speak to someone who worked at Summerville Ford. While the man was telling me "he apologized on behalf of Summerville Ford not the individual" the man who had been driving the golf cart had been summoned from the break room by a lady at the front. He walked behind the man I speaking to and proceeded to say I "could've gotten cussed out" for telling him he shouldn't park there and I "walked across the parking lot fine." He went on to say I had no right to complain and didn't have anything better to do than disturb their "flow of business." What I DID have the "right" to do was park in one of those handicapped parking spaces. Everyone there BUT the man driving the golf cart and the lady who had retrieved him from the break room apologized. I was honestly shocked. The young man working at the store we visited said them parking their golf cart there was a normal thing. So, I am not the first handicapped person that someone driving a golf cart for Summerville Ford has prevented from using these spaces. I do plan on emailing the company but I'm pretty sure the General Manager for that location was out there and witnessed his employee acting this way. read more

Save yourself and do not buy a car from here! Husband called about a vehicle on the lot and after reviewing the information we decided to take the 2 hr drive the next day and purchase the vehicle. Everything was completed over the phone and e-mail, only had to show up and sign some papers. We told them how far we were traveling for the sale and we have a 6 month old son so the soonest you could get us out and on the road the better. They said no problem will maybe take an hour. Show up car is parked up front on display ready for us. We overlooked the sad pathetic attempt of a detail on the vehicle because everyone knows dealerships detailers are not the best to say the least. I was a little upset I mean it's a $65k vehicle but my husband said no big deal we can get it done professionally. Notice a couple dents but nothing major. Our waiting only an hour turned into waiting over three hours. I'll save you the details of trying to entertain, feed and change our 6 month old in that dealership. We head home and checking the dash and all the instruments and we notice that one of the tires is a little low. Again no big deal add some air good to go. Husband brings it to a dent shop to get what we thought was only two dents turns out to be closer to a dozen and a nice $800 bill. Didnt call the dealership complaining we were a little upset but paid the bill. Good as new now. Tire is low again. Hmm ok maybe we have a slow leak. Husband decides when we go to NH in the next month we will buy all 4 new tires, car has 25k miles, the tires are not in bad shape but while we are there we will not have to pay sales tax so win win. Upon driving to NH tire keeps dropping air and we have to stop in NJ to put air in it. Well long story short husband takes car to the tire shop and they show him that your tire is fine you have a cracked rim. Husband calls dealership cause he says ok this is it. I've overlooked the car being filthy when we picked it up, waiting 3 hours after they told us it'd be less then an hour, paying the dent bill of $800 and now this? He tells them everything and they say sorry nothing we can do for you you should of brought it in sooner. How were we supposed to know it was a cracked rim? You would think to save yourself from a bad review they would of met us half way on getting us a new rim but no nothing. They blamed us. I am a stay at home mom and the vehicle doesn't move 5 days out of the week so no. We didn't haggle them on the price or our trade in, nothing. Another dealership had offered us more on our trade in but we decided to go with this dealership. So many regrets now! If you have to buy a vehicle from this dealership stick to your guns. Go through the vehicle with a fine tooth comb! Please! I wish we would have been a little more forceful with the little things and not so nice and overlooked them cause in the end we end up screwed. My wife took our Explorer in, to get several recall notices taken care of, she dropped it off in the morning around 9AM on Tuesday and one of her co-workers picked her up and brought her to the house. My wife called at the end of the day to not get a good answer about the status of the vehicle, as no one really could answer the simple question was it ready? So the next day I have to let my wife drive my truck and I have a friend who lives relatively close by pick me up and take me into work. My wife in the meantime is calling about the Explorer, when they ask about who her service representative's name is, she gives it, well she isn't available and no one else can seemingly answer the big questions, is it ready, will it be ready. Going back and forth a few more times, no, don't know if it will be ready. Next day after getting a ride home from the same friend and then again getting a lift into work, my wife starts calling, again, who is your service representative, hmm. she seems to have been out sick since Tuesday after lunch, so no one apparently follows up on our vehicle for two and a half days. Well fortunately, by the end of the day, they find out the vehicle has been done since Tuesday afternoon. My wife picks up the vehicle and fortunately they did service a couple of the recalls, others were supposedly out of date. I really have an issue that you rely on one person to be the customer advocate, yet you have no back up plan in place to address issues such as the customer advocate goes home sick? Fortunately, I have good friends, what if we were new to town and I had to Uber into work or have my wife drive the hour round trip to drop me off at work? With gasoline at 4.50 a gallon I would hope that there would be a better system in place to address issues such as this. Recently purchased a used 2013 ford f150. Although the service was great at the time(duh I was giving them my money) I started experiencing issues with the vehicle about a month in. There is a recall (TSB 13-6-8) in 2013 and a recall for power train back in 2019 for the F-150's. I'll be cruising along going 40-50 mph when it suddenly downshifts without warning and locks the back tires up, RPMs spike to 5 or 6, and speedometer goes blank/0. The truck will start violently lurching and skidding. I have to coast to the side of the road or highway, turn it off, then turn it back on, and pray it runs fine again. But of course no wrench or engine light will appear despite this. This has happened over 10-15 times in 2 months. The worst part is you never know when it'll happen either. The truck had the recall done by previous owner, but obviously did not get it properly fixed. As everything described in the recall is still happening. This is where I have a problem. Ford Summerville has given me the run around, they keep sending me to different people, with no urgency to the matter. Despite this affecting my safety when I drive. I have taken it to a different Ford garage but again, no answer from them. I made a case with Ford, but didnt like their answer as it was just another loop around. I'm just going to trade it in next week, this has been a huge disappointment. Their product is affecting my safety yet they do nothing... To end this rant, if you look on online forums about this issue on the recall, other people are experiencing this problem, and aren't getting answers from Ford. It seems Ford is trying to sweep this recall issue under the rug, not wanting to deal with the fact they ACTUALLY didn't fix the recall. For-warning when buying a Ford product. I called early Saturday and had been connected with one of their sales consultants, Andrew N, and he had confirmed the vehicle was available and was going to send me an email with pricing information on a work sheet approved along with from his manager to review and sign. I ended receiving the pricing information after the dealership closed late that evening and after reviewing, my disappointment with these people was an understatement. Not only was the MSRP adjusted for almost an additional market adjustment of $30,000, it included a couple thousand dollars in aftermarket items which I didn't request, additional Destination & Delivery $1695 which was already included on the MSRP window sticker, and their additional fees. I realize it may be a limited production vehicle, however, there are the majority of other Ford dealerships who are selling for way less than here. I reached out today to my sales consultant along with and provided their document containing crossed off of their undisclosed items. I did receive an response email that the vehicle had been sold yesterday. Purchasing a car is has never been a challenging experience until this weekend. It would have been nice to do business with them for the vehicle they had to personally enjoy. My most recent visit will be my last here for good. I've always been frustrated with this place when I have brought my car in for service. With my car no longer under warranty and now recently having to buy a new one, there's really no reason for me to go through the hassle they put you through. Yes it's closer and I went with Ford again but happy to go through a different location. I mean come on, 5 hours and counting for an oil change. Not to mention the countless other ones I brought my last car here for, from oil changes to service visits. Their prices are astronomical as well. They charge you a ridiculous amount just to get a diagnostic, even with a service code from an auto store indicating what's wrong in addition to a light alerting you to said problem. If you want to know if there's more wrong than meets the eye, you'll definitely be paying for it. The customer service is awful. You'd think the amount of times I've dealt with Julie would be enough to have said goodbye to this place long ago. I just continue to be helped (and I use that term lightly) by her each time. She's rude and that's pretty bad for a place that you're coming to for customer service. It's like you're inconveniencing them by bringing your car in for a problem. The tone you get when you have a question is ridiculous, and yes I've heard her talk to others rudely as well. If you feel the need to go there for service, ask to be helped by Ryan, the experience will be a little better. On another note, I know others that have bought lemons from this place too. Luckily I hadn't had too many issues, knock on wood. I can only imagine what I'd deal with if that was the case. read more
