Horrible customer service! I inquired regarding renting an apartment from email here back on March 9th, 2026 at 2:58 PM and now it is March 16th,2026 and no one has reached out to me! In this time frame, I have already toured other places and found a new apartment!! Does the leasing staff not want to get apartments leased? I really got lucky by not moving here because if they do not communicate prior to me touring how would they be when/ if I moved in? Do not recommend!! read more

Parkside Commons is a great place to live it's like living in a resort pool, gym quiet and safe. The staff is absolutely great they have the A team here, with shopping and pharmacies next to complex its really a wonderful place to live. read more

Prospective tenants beware: this apartment complex falls far short of living up to its promise of "luxury". I was reluctant to move to a city like Chelsea, which is not as "up and coming" as some make it out to be, but I justified my move because of its proximity to the city and Parkside's allure of certain amenities and comforts. The apartment is spacious enough, and I like the fact that I have a washer and dryer in my unit, but my list of positives pretty much stops there. The reality is that the walls are paper thin, the windows are drafty, and the apartments feel cheaply constructed. I've been woken up countless times by extremely loud neighbors way down the hall, and I've had to endure a most unpleasant domestic violence situation a few doors down (insanely loud screaming and shouting) that has been going on for several months. When I first complained to one of the office staff, they all but assured me that this couple would be out within a couple of weeks. Since then I have complained several times to the office and called the police three times. There is also a loud family further down the other end of my hall who always cooks absolutely rancid smelling food, sometimes with their door open (!!) and I have to hold my breath when I walk down my own hallway. This same family spilled a giant pot of something that looked like chili and the huge stain outside their door remained untouched for about 4 days. They also had a raging party one Sunday evening that lasted until after 4 AM, and I woke up to the sounds of over the top yelling and firefighters marching down the hall to rescue 15 people from that party who were trapped in an elevator designed to hold maybe 7-8 maximum. Then a month later they had another loud party with 30 plus guests that I had to call the cops on at 1 AM. And I was threatened by the man who lives there and by several guests. Unbelievable. When I contacted the leasing manager about all of this, I got some fake reassurance and company line BS from her. I realize the eviction process is long and is tied up in legal proceedings, but the staff could have been way more genuinely sympathetic and should have at least offered to compensate me for the stress, anxiety, loss of sleep, and total lack of safety. Gabe, the maintanence man, was pretty unfriendly and condescending, but I will say that Juan is the most helpful, pragmatic and kind person I've dealt with here. Aside from these more egregious incidents, the hallways smell musty, unclean, and like gross cooking that goes way beyond the normal cooking smells one would expect in an apartment building. It seems they rarely if ever vacuum or even do a walk through of the hallways near my apartment. Furthermore, the mail was not getting delivered properly for at least a few weeks, when they had a substitute mailman take over. I was expecting an important legal document and it got returned to sender twice. They have an asinine mail system in which the box number is different than the apartment number, which they claim is "for our safety." I'd rather receive my mail in the proper, timely fashion than worry about someone else knowing where I live when I get my mail. But maybe that's just me. During this period, the management didn't even go so far as to send out a simple email to residents explaining the mail debacle. All we got is a half baked apology after the fact. I would strongly recommend that you look elsewhere in Chelsea, like One North if you can afford it or The Box District. The area around Parkside is sketchy. I don't feel comfortable walking around at night, and there's nowhere appealing to even walk to during the day. The stores and restaurants in the cheap strip mall next to the complex are mostly lackluster and the 7-11/Dunkin Donuts combo down the street is gross. The walkways along the creek behind the complex are strewn with litter and there are sometimes unsavory people in the poor excuse for a park that perhaps inspired the name of the complex. All in all, it's definitely not worth the inflated rents they charge and it's anything but a peaceful, luxurious place to live. read more

This is actually a nice place but there are definitely a few things that remind you this is still a discount location. Location: honestly you should consider this first. You are within walking distance of a discount mall and a few cheaper resturaunt a but the list of decent resturaunt a is very short so hopefully you like to cook. Also - neighborhood is very diverse - not judging or discriminating - simply informing. You are very close to the airport and for me that is the biggest factor. If you travel a lot this works really well. Amenities: Candy (receptionist at the front desk) seems pretty nice. I saw some negative google reviews but I have no complaints. Pool is nice but can get a bit crowded with kids. The gym is almost empty all the time so despite the size (small) I always get an elliptical (3 ellipticals + 3 treadmills). Parking is a but tight but there are always garage spots (this does cost $60 extra a month). The apartment: I live(d) in a 1bd and it is definitely spacious (per Boston standards). Bigger closet but still tough for two people to share. I think the pictures will have to cover this. If you don't care about the neighborhood as much this might be a 4 star but I just can't after all the driving to get to decent food and the lack of MTBA access (seems like it should run here). My boyfriend and I have lived here for a little over a year and we love our place and the apartment building. The Pros are that we have s sizable apartment (with a guest BR, no less) for a very fair price. The apartment offers a free shuttle van that transports residents to the Aquarium Station during the typical commuting hours. The maintenance staff is responsive and quick to fix any issues with the apartment itself. There is a small gym in the building and an outdoor pool. The Front Desk staff - specifically DeShaun - is very considerate and attentive. On occasion, he's delivered packages right to our door out of the goodness of his heart. We've also asked the management to hold onto keys for us for when family comes to visit - they've always been helpful. We have quiet neighbors too, so that's another plus. There's room for improvement regarding the gym (very worn mats that need replacing) and kettle bells would be an excellent addition. The building is very family-friendly, so sometimes there are children running the halls during schools breaks or summer vacation. During the summertime, the pool is usually taken over by the kiddos too - not an issue because we like kids, but something to note in case you want a "young professionals" vibe. Overall, it meets our expectations and we're happy with the place. read more

At first viewing I was promised by devin and Jessica luxury living, clean groundskeeping, smoke free, nice pool, central air, and great management....after a month it turned into hell on earth, dogs legit go the bathroom in the elevator it's borderline unbearable, the grills and fire pit don't work, the pool is 4 feet deep and tiny, the walls are paper thin, the central air does not work, I had and electrician install a thermostat and he said the building was a fire hazard, the neighbors are loud and do drugs, a few drug dealers live here, packages get left in the entrance and it's unmanaged, multiple items have gone missing for me, some of the outlets wouldn't work, the shower drain is like a clogged nightmare have fun showering in a foot of water....worst decision of my life !!!!! read more

I've been living at Parkside Commons for 2 years, I was very satisfied, but for the past 6 months I've been having a lot of problems. Noisy neighbors with children playing ball, running day and night, there seems to be a playground in the apartment above mine. I've made several complaints at the office and they don't help me resolve the situation with the neighbors, they always say they're going to talk to the neighbors, but so far they haven't resolved anything, I've even proposed to move my apartment so I can sleep in peace. also many mice have appeared in the last few months. Well, if you want a nice night's sleep without being woken up by the neighbors, an apartment without a mouse, I don't recommend Parkside Commons. read more

There are MICE In the building !!! Seriously they always running around at the patio of my room ,at the common kitchen right in side of the grill area . Idk if anybody else has seen them . I once told the management but seems like they did nothing . Did i mention that i cant even step out to the patio ??? Don't waste ur money and spend the extra $100 or $200 else where because this place is nasty and filthy apartments. This place is pretty much a project complex. People always smoke weed inside I have two small children and I can't believe I'm paying so much money to come home to people smoking and partying. The staff there are unprofessional and inconsistent. I've lived in many apartment complex in the city nothing like this place. There's kids always running down the hall way and pulling he fire alarm. Parkside Commons a great community I love it there's a Home Depot right next to it McDonald's couple other restaurants MBTA near it to drugstores people are friendly and over all the apartments are beautiful I will give them 5 starts anytime and I'll tell my friends that is good place to live in a good community. read more

I really like this place. I love the space. The modern feel. The amenities. Management. Space: my apartment it's perfect for me. The balcony was a must and I love how it overlooks the pool. Love the outside with seating. Modern Feel: I love the open concept in the apartment and the stainless steel oven and refrigerator. The time is cute. Normally I would want carpet, but I love the tile choice. It's a greyish wood - cute! Amenities - I love having a fire pit the gym in the complex (convenient), the pool and grill. Management - If nothing else this was super important for me. I came from a complex where management was horrible. I love the folks here. They are inviting and patient because I ask a lot of questions (lol). Overall, I am happy. I've recently resigned my lease, and I'm happy with it. read more

My wife and I have been tenants here in a 1b1b for the past two years. Fire alarms - It's true that our first year (2015-2016) we had children who pulled the fire alarm, seemingly multiple times a month. It upset me so much that I was thinking of starting a petition to evict the suspected tenants. But starting at least the end of last year, we've not had ANY false fire alarms. Turns out Management had enough of this too so they evicted the families involved. So I can confidently say that this is no longer an issue here. Mice - We've not had any pest issues (insect or mice) during our time here and neither have my neighbors so I was surprised to find it in the reviews. The truth is pests are uncommon and, per Management, it's in their interest to bring in exterminators promptly. Parkside Commons is far from a perfect luxury apartment complex. The amenities and buildings are and appear older than newer options nearby. But overall it is quiet, clean, neighbors cordial, the staff (maintenance, concierge, and management office) are professional and responsible. Though I wish it were the case, I was not compensated in any way for this comment. Just wanted to bring in an honest, updated review of the place. read more

During my 9 month stay at Parkside Commons (unfortunately cut short due to relocating for work) I have been very pleased. Unfortunately more often than not people seem to only write reviews when they are disappointed, so I am writing this from an unbiased standpoint to inform future residents what to look for. The management and staff-Jessica, Juan and Devyn have been very helpful and professional and were always quick to return my phone calls in a timely manner. Gabe the maintenance manager and his crew were quick to correct deficiency's around the complex and I never had a problem with them in my apartment when I wasn't there . Location- The apartment's location had a very safe feeling being tucked in the back of Chelsea. There are many cameras surrounding the building as well as police cruisers that usually sit behind the restaurant "Chili's". In my opinion Chelsea is a double-edged sword, there is nothing really "up & coming" about the small city but on the other hand it is not nearly as scary and dangerous as people make it out to be. Building/structure- The apartments noise is something that impressed me in a good way. For the most part the residents in building 2 are friendly and tend to stick to themselves which works for me. In my 9 months of living here I never heard or had problems with any of my neighbors. The hallways and exterior of the apartment are kept clean and presentable. Going off what the gentleman said about stained carpets yes building two is a pet friendly building, pets along with children typically are a little bit more messy. In the grand scheme of things a few stains on the carpet are very minor. I have never seen ants, mice/rats, roaches or any other type of unwanted creatures in the building, to me that is a lot more positive. All and all Parkside Commons impressed me and I am glad that I moved here. From my understanding they had a management change a little bit less than a year ago, and I think that they are learning and adjusting well as time goes on. I was nervous to move in after reading the reviews and I'm so happy it didn't stop me from choosing parkside commons. I moved in on April 1st and have had a great experience so far. Maintenance responds quickly and I havent had any issues with noise. The office staff responds quickly and helped me find great dining in the area. The package system works perfect for me because I work during the day and need to access my packages at night. read more

I have been a resident here for over 2 years and will not be renewing my lease as the quality of living here as severely decreased over the past year. I have had conversations with other residents that have been here longer that share my opinion and also plan on leaving once their leases are up. There a number of reasons for you should not live here - first, compared to how much you spend, you should not have to deal with the issues that take place here. Believe me, there are plenty of other options in the area that are better managed and better maintained for similar prices. Sometimes lists are helpful, so here's a list of specific problems here: 1. The gym equipment is constantly broken, some equipment is missing (never replaced), and parents let their children play in the gym like it's a playground. 2. There's always trash in the hallways and in the elevators. Always. 3. It's supposed to be a non-smoking, green community ... it is not. Trust me, there's all kinds of smoking going on here. 4. Your friend's/family's/visitor's car will get towed or broken into. In fact, your car will probably be towed unless you specifically park in a resident spot (if you park in visitor spots as a resident, say goodbye to your car, even if all the other resident spots were taken). Cars are definitely susceptible to theft here. 5. The fire alarm goes off frequently and there's a good chance that you're going to hear sirens at least once a week because of it. Oh, and you'll be blocked in if you try to leave as a result. I'll leave it at 5 as I could go on for longer, but hope this is enough to help out other's that are considering living here. If you take one thing away, know that this place is definitely NOT worth the cost of living here - especially since there are better options in the area. read more

Is everyone who writes a good review about this place out of their minds?!?!?! This place is horrible and that even is an understatement. However, if you are some sick individual who enjoys waking up at 3 AM for almost daily fire alarms (for no reason btw), for kids running and screaming in the hallways (oh and did I mention them playing soccer and using the doors as goals), extremely rude staff who is NOT likely to help you with problems except for if you get payed to write good reviews (which in this case would be a case of fraud) then this place will be perfect for you. Oh and also did I mention the daily smell of weed, screaming kids all day at the pool?! I believe my ears took some damage from the amount of noise level and the daily anxiety about those ear wrenching fire alarm sounds!! But judge for yourself.
