Smaller retail nursery with an interesting selection and good prices. There's a private lot with plenty of parking. Inside, the nursery is nicely laid out, clean, and offers up a variety of plants plus soil, tools, pots, etc. So it could be your one-stop shop for all of your gardening needs. This nursery is close and convenient if you live in the Canyon Crest area. Needing to plant some trees in my alkaline soil, I went to Parkview to find an acidic soil to balance out the PH. Immediately the gentleman working there that day offered to help me find the best product. In addition, I was asked if I needed assistance several times as I browsed their inventory. Either they really wanted to help me,or they thought I was going to steal a fig tree. I'm going with the former explanation here. As an extra bonus a rather burly man offered to carry my soil bags out to my car for me. What a nice guy! Whenever I can play the chick card, I'll take it. read more

I drove out here for this nursery only to find they closed over 35 minutes early, despite the posted hours. Bad for business. I won't be returning. It was a waste of my time and shows lazy business practices. Go to the other location. It actually follows what it says. read more

I went today to buy my first plant. I am a newbie with plant care/ plant owner. I was able to get assistance from a very helpful gentleman. He was very patient and amicable. I was able to ask all my questions and he offered answers without any judgment. This nursery is very peaceful. I really think I want to come back and become more in tune with gardening as a hobby. I visited this nursery for the first time today and within a couple of minutes I was greeted by one the people working there. He helped me find what I was looking for and we chatted and tasted some of the plants together. I enjoyed my visit very much and left with some healthy herbs and geraniums. I am a student and the nursery is conveniently located only about three minutes away from the university. It is a good place for students because it is so close to campus and also because the prices are fair. read more

My mom and grandmother have gone to the Parkview Nursery off the 91 for decades, so when I started getting interested in plants my mom and I visited there to get some starters. The staff there is so knowledgeable and personable, and the plants they have are amazing in both health and selection. We made a trip to this one on Chicago a while back and I was so glad to experience the same phenomenal customer service and see an equally wide selection of healthy, happy plants! read more

Great nursery in Riverside. Wide selection of herbs, vegetables, trees, and flowers! The staff really knows their stuff and are willing to put down whatever they are doing to help you out. Just had a super customer service experience at Parkview Nursery Canyon Crest. The two staff guys were so friendly and helpful! Called PVN during the last business hour and told them about the trees I wanted and when I got there the trees were ready. Helpful. Stopped in for succulents and wasn't sure what to get. Within a few seconds of looking, Art offered to assist me. Once I told him what I was looking for, he guided me to the back, where I never would have looked, and assisted me in choosing the perfect ones. He walked me to the register, then to my car. This is my favorite nursery. The customer service is excellent and the employees are knowledgable. If someone can't answer your question, you are referred to someone who can or they look it up in a book or on computer. They do get very busy, but not impatient. Parkview will willingly order special plants for their customers. It is not particlarly dressed up, but they do it right! They have everything from succulents to vegetables, shrubs and trees, roses and houseplants. read more

I love this place! I went in looking for a Mother's Day gift and got lost looking at all the flowers and plants this nursery has. The associates were very friendly and helpful. I wish I would have gotten her name, but she was amazing! Helped me get the succulents that I wanted for my mom and made sure I had everything that I needed and helped me to understand how to maintain them. I also loved that she didn't push anything extra that I didn't need to make sales (that gets annoying at big chains like Lowes). This was my first visit and I will be sure to let everyone know to visit for their gardening needs! read more

I purchased two brushed cherry topiary trees for my wife at Christmas time. One did very well and the other died despite her best effort. I called today and told my story to the person that answered the phone. I told him that I didn't have a receipt but they probably have records. He said no problem just bring it back and they will take care of it. I dug it up, put it in a bucket and drove to their business. When I got there I was told by Nick to bring it in, which I did. He told me to go find another one, which I did. I brought it in and he said "I need your receipt". I explained the same thing that I told the gentleman on the phone. He said he needed a receipt or the bucket. I called my wife and she said that she had some started plants in what might be the bucket. I drove home, dumped the plant out of the bucket and went back. He said "wrong bucket". I will have to go ask the boss. He left for several minutes and when he returned said " he said just take it". I told him of my displeasure and that I have been coming to this location for over 30 years as many of my family members. Nick made me feel like a thief and that he was giving me something for free. They were laughing at me on my way out! I won't be back. read more
