On the way to Parkway Veterinary Hospital

If you are not going to Parkway Veterinary Hospital for all of your veterinary services, you are using the wrong Vet. We have been very pleased with the Doctor and her staff. She goes out of the way to make us and our Chihuahua feel comfortable.

My five year old cat had this ongoing vomiting issue for the past 2 years. He also has bad anxiety when leaving the house. We have tried everything to make the vomiting and panic shaking stop; even going to different hospitals. Those hospitals kept giving me medication that wasn't solving the problem. When I took my cat to Parkway Veterinary Hospital, all those problems went away. Dr.Kodimerla is so patient and nice! She takes the time to examine my cat fully and gave him a shot that stopped the vomiting entirely. She also gave this special oral medication to calm my cat down. I'm extremely grateful that Parkway Veterinary Hospital is available at anytime, including Saturday. I can get my cat in for anything without having to wait! Thank you so much Dr. Kodi for everything!

Best price for c-section in all of Sacramento/greater Sacramento area not only priced fair she is an amazing vet did a great job on my dog very knowledgeable and has tons of experience

I just wanted to share my experience with a new Vet office I went to for my people in Sacramento surrounding areas or anyonewho wont mind driving for a great veterinarian. Sorry in advance for the long post After calling around and going to 3 different veterinarian offices to make sure I had my frenchie covered who was due to have a litter any day, I ran across Dr. Kodimerla at Parkway Veterinary Hospital and let me just say it was the best experience ever. She was very kind, patient, and most of all willing to hold my dog the full work day if her Reverse PG Test was low but not quite there yet. The other two vets said they would test her, then give her back and let us know rather to bring her back or not in 1.5hrs. After driving 40min to Folsom from Sacramento I was seen right away after getting there at about 10am no $70 first time patient office exam fee and her charge for my Reverse PG was under $100 which is $150 less than what I was quoted with the two other vets. She took the test let me know my girl was ready (she was at a 1 in her PG test) and if I wanted the c section she could do it right away AFTER doing blood work to make sure my dogs health was ok. Meaning no underlying issued that could cause complications during the surgery and that I could wait in the office or come back in about 2hrs none of that drop your dog off at 8am and pick them up at 3pm if their ready nonsense if I wanted to do the surgery. She did a great job on the c section! Made sure pups were good and had first latch on mom, made sure mom was woke cleaned off and alert before we took her home, no outside switching showing or hanging out from the surgery, no bleeding after 8hrs just a smooth transaction. Not to mention everything done: Reverse PG, Blood Work, After Meds, Paid Meds, and C Section for a very affordable and comPETitive price! If you need a good vet for your dogs' c section/reproduction needs or just in general great all-around vet look no further! She definitely is worth the drive and now has become my new vet for all my pet needs. Tell them Jahvi sent you!

She went from perfectly healthy to on her death bed in two days... We went to two other vet clinics that charged outrageously and offered no payment plans or financial assistance. Her age disqualified her for any grants at UCD. There were no other treatment options- surgery or nothing, and I had already received an increase in my Care Credit limit specifically for this but didn't have enough after exam fees and diagnostics. We thought we were out of options. All Creatures SAVED HER LIFE! They were very fair and flexible as far as finances go and actually charged reasonable prices. Even more so, they offer a program called Cherry, which is basically a 'get now pay later' payment program. It's so simple and straightforward, and we literally got to choose exactly what the plan looks like. After running around with stress and anxiety, they were very quick with intake, and put her in surgery as soon as possible. The staff are SO ACCOMMODATING! The kindest and most understanding souls!!! We didn't want to leave her.. so we stayed. My fiancé requested to receive a call the second she comes out of surgery, and they let us come in immediately after even though it was the middle of the night. He stayed in the exam room and SLEPT on the floor with her while I slept in the car. Next morning she was supposed to be discharged but unfortunately had to stay all day to stabilize. And best believe we were there the entire time. They brought us refreshments and checked in on us regularly from 2am after surgery to 5pm when she was discharged. We bombarded the space the entire time and made home there as long as our girl was there. I know that's a little weird, but they did not care!! They were so kind and friendly, very understanding and genuinely compassionate. I wish they were not just an ER. We would love to come here for her primary care!

Initial Negligence: Stitches were removed prematurely, leading to unnecessary complications. Mismanaged Treatment: After a diabetes diagnosis, Dr. Gill opted for an expensive, non-insulin medication despite my cat's visible decline. We then were told to wait two weeks before switching to insulin; by that point, his blood sugar was critically low (80) and he had stopped eating. After spending thousands, I was asked for an additional $600 for tests to "potentially" diagnose leukemia, only to be told to euthanize him moments later. It felt as though we were being milked for fees while our cat was dying. The lack of urgency and the questionable treatment plan lead me to believe this office is more interested in profit than animal welfare. Please protect your pets and go elsewhere.

They have a great mobile app that makes communication and appointment management very convenient. However, that changed when I requested an estimate for a dental cleaning for our 6-year-old Yorkie. The procedure was long overdue, and I understood there was a possibility that some teeth might need to be extracted. The estimate I received was approximately $4,300 before any extractions, with additional charges of around $75 per tooth if extractions were needed. Having gone through similar procedures with other pets in the past, I was honestly shocked by the cost. I started researching alternatives and came across Crossroads Animal Hospital. Their reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and since they're close to my home, I decided to give them a call. They provided a very thorough estimate that included all the same important pre-op and post-op care, but the total cost was around $750, with extractions priced at about $25 per tooth. I transferred my dog's records and was able to get an appointment within just a couple of days. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring both on the phone and in person. Most importantly, our Yorkie's dental work turned out fantastic. His teeth looked amazing afterward, only one small tooth needed to be removed, and the bad dog breath that we'd been dealing with was completely gone. Finding a veterinarian you trust can be difficult, especially after moving to a new area. While VCA offers some convenient technology, I'll gladly choose Crossroads Animal Hospital for my pets' care going forward. They've earned my business through excellent service, quality care, and fair pricing.

The swelling was getting worse and that's when I decided to make call to a local veterinarian, Jefferson Park Veterinary Clinic. They had no urgent care but pointed us in the direction of Folsom Ranch Veterinary Hospital. They calmly explained to me that getting Luna care was very important. They had availability since they're an urgent care facility so we made plans to take Luna. The hospital itself is located right off the freeway. It's beautiful inside. Very clean and welcoming. The friendly staff at the front desk got us checked in and we waited. They came and got Luna and told us they were going to get care started. The wait was a bit long but they were very busy with tending to other 4 legged friends. But they also constantly checked on us while giving us updates. The doctor came in to tell us that Luna needed an X Ray along with some other tests to determine the severity of her injury. She assured us that Luna would be good with them and under very good care. She encouraged us to go nearby and grab some dinner and before we know it they'd be calling with an update. My fiancee was still very nervous and had wished we could see Luna. Although we didn't see her I understood that this was normal. Flash forward an hour and 15 minutes we got a call that Luna was ready to come home. Thank God! We were still very nervous as we had not seen Luna since they're took her to the back but as soon as we got to the back room the doctor and assistant brought Luna In her little carrier. She was very subdued thanks to the meds they got her on. But she was calm and it was obvious she was extremely cared for. She had her left leg shaved to determine if there were any punctures or sting bites. But she was cleared to come home. Thank you so much to the staff here and especially to Dr. Daryani for the love and care of our fur baby.

Unfortunately yesterday everything was going fine until he had a bowel movement, shortly after he started to whine, cry and show signs of severe uncomfortableness, lethargy, it was gut wrenching to see this tiny helpless thing I already love so much be so uncomfortable. I called the vet we are meant to see and they could not fit us in but recommended veterinary urgent care and Surgery in Cameron Park. I immediately just started driving there scared for my puppies well-being. While driving I called and they were able to get me an appointment right away, basically the time it took for me to drive there. They tested us from the car for parvo (thank god is was negative) so we were brought into a room. The vet tech was extremely nice, thorough, endearing, empathetic (as I was a blubbering mess worried about my tiny 4lbs puppy) she got her report ready and brought the dr in. He was even kind and empathetic to my worry and concern. We went over everything. From the day I got him to what possibilities it could be. They gave me options, information and we picked a treatment plan after an exam of my puppy. I was sent home with medications, directions and feeling so much relief that they cared for my dogs wellbeing and how I felt as an owner. Upon leaving and check out and the girls at the front came together to chat with us, and say goodbye. We talked a little about how cute he is his breed type and then reassured us to call if we need anything or have any questions. I will absolutely be a returning customer should an emergency come up again. Completely unrelated but when I went to grab my dog from the techs arms after they took him in back to give him a couple shots I could smell her subtle perfume(it smelt amazing) as we had to be shoulder to shoulder. I politely asked her what it was and she told me. Not vet related but something small / important to me. This small kind interactions made me feel like a real person to them instead of a ticket number.

Unfortunately, the quality of care he provides is overshadowed by an extremely rude and unprofessional front office staff. For about a month we left messages roughly once a week regarding scheduling our Golden Retriever for a spay procedure and never received a call back. Eventually we were told Dr. Khurmi had been on vacation, and suddenly we were able to schedule the surgery. It would have been helpful if that had been communicated earlier, but at that point we were simply happy to finally get the appointment. We chose the laparoscopic option because we had read it could be less traumatic and allow for an easier recovery. We were given a price range, and when we dropped our dog off we paid $1,783.94, which was the lower end of the estimate. When we picked her up, we were told we owed an additional $116.06. The amount itself was no big deal to us. We had already agreed to a cost range and were fully prepared to pay within that range. Out of simple curiosity, we asked what caused the final cost to land at the higher end. The vet tech immediately became defensive and spoke to us in a condescending tone in front of other clients, repeatedly stating that we had agreed to a range rather than simply explaining the difference. We never received a clear answer. While waiting, there were also other clients ahead of us who appeared surprised by additional charges at checkout, so it did not seem like an isolated situation. The discharge process was also rushed. The vet tech briefly went over the medication but did not clearly review the rest of the post-operative instructions before sending us home with a printed sheet. Nearly two weeks later the stitches are still clearly visible, so we called the office today to confirm whether they were dissolvable or needed to be removed. I had made a mental note that the instructions mentioned something about sutures being removed around 14 days, as we are approaching that timeframe and I wanted to get them taken out. When I explained that this had not been discussed with us, the staff member responded in a very abrasive tone, repeatedly insisting that we had been sent home with an instruction sheet rather than simply addressing the question. After requesting the clinical summary earlier to understand the final invoice, I reviewed it again and it actually states "sutures out in 14 days," which contradicts what we were told on the phone today. As a client and not a veterinarian, I should not have to interpret clinical notes to understand basic post-operative instructions. Clear and consistent guidance is important when you are caring for a pet recovering from surgery. I have since emailed the clinic asking for clarification and am still waiting for confirmation on whether the sutures are dissolvable or need to be removed. Based on our experience, the front office staff and vet techs could benefit from additional training in client communication and customer service. Pet owners should feel comfortable asking questions without being spoken to in a defensive or dismissive tone. After reviewing other client feedback and the responses from this business, there appears to be a pattern of defensiveness rather than accountability. Hopefully this situation will be handled differently, but based on those responses I would not be surprised if the reply focuses on defending the clinic rather than addressing the concerns raised. When you trust someone with your pet's surgery, professionalism and clear communication should be the standard, not something clients have to fight for.
