    Beer and pretzels!!

Stop in to get takeout from one of the pop up restaurants that I follow on social media! I was very impressed with the beer garden. Grabbed some to-go beers and a pretzel . The staff were helpful and just frickin cool! Not to mention the beer garden atmosphere was warm and welcoming! Definitely worth the stop, and I look forward to going back with the family.

Pretty nifty setup, I was in search of a new brewery to tap into whilst I was in this part of town. The service was top tier, very kind & knowledgeable bartender. I didn't really find a beer I loved on this visit, the stout I came to try was sold out . I'll be back later in the fall to see what's Tappening

Round of beer that my friends ordered

Good selection of craft beer. Visited this brewery on a Saturday afternoon and tried a few different beers. The brewery offered a selection of the following types of beers: Pilsner, Lager, Kolsch, Pale Ale, IPA, and Wild Ale. They do not brew a flagship beer because they are a laboratory of experimentation (from the website). Personally, I enjoy ordering a flagship beer when I try a brewery for the 1st time but that wasn't a deal breaker. Just a little different for me. Service was good and the bartender was knowledgeable about the beer.

We were wandering the Bywater area and stopped here for a refreshment and were pleasantly surprised. The guy working the taps was knowledgeable and let us sample a few so we could decide on what we wanted to drink. I really like their west coast IPA and my wife liked the pilzner. Good beer!

This place is soooo cool! The perfect place to spend a nice Saturday with friends and delicious beers. Hidden way back in the corner of the Bywater neighborhood, is this gem of a Biergarten. It was so fun to enjoy the weather with good friends and sip on multiple flights of beer, sampling all of their brews, arguing over which we liked best. As the sun goes down, the cute string lights come on, creating an intimate, backyard atmosphere. It feels like you're at home! During crawfish season, you can find people boiling up 2 different styles: traditional and Vietnamese. If you've never had Vietnamese style, TRY IT!!!!! It's life changing. If crawfish isn't your thing, you can get food delivered here. We ended up staying for so long that we ordered from Pizza Delicious later in the evening. Great move. Something else kinda cool about this place: it's dog AND kid friendly! There were big groups of people with small children playing together. It really makes the place feel like a backyard barbecue. As for the beer list, I assure you, it is delicious. Do I remember my favorites? No, because I had many of them. So I obviously liked it. (Don't judge, it was my birthday!) Looking for something off the beaten path to do on a gorgeous NOLA day? Hit up Parleaux. You won't be disappointed!

A tasty flight and a 10oz of the marzen.

Great atmosphere, dope staff and dope beer. Me and my wife love trying different breweries where ever we go and this place hands down has a really great marzen. Love how they have the tanks right were you see em and hang out with em, instead of hiding em. Highly recommend this place for good beer.

Parleaux Beer Lab didn't disappoint as our last stop in a full day of distillery and brewery tours. Awesome space. Super spacious beer garden. Great beers. Quality pop up food options. My only recommendation would be to improve the service level of the guys pouring beers. I get it... it's a long day. I'm one of hundreds (locals and tourists) who have walked up to the counter trying to decide which brew to pick today, but it wouldn't hurt to fake a smile and some enthusiasm for your job of serving great beer to an appreciative public.

Crawfish!!! 1/2 Vietnamese, 1/2 Cajun- They were both epic!!!
    Amita R.

I came here on my birthday for the crawfish and it did not disappoint!! Everyone that works here is amazing and they have the cutest shirts and merchandise. The crawfish were sooooo well seasoned and big my mouth is watering the thinking about them! Their beers are amazing also!!

    Beautiful spring day with beer!

Pretty hidden away beer brewery close to the old navy base. The outside area was very nice and I found the inside to be clean. The server was fantastic and they follow Covid restrictions to a T. Sitting outside in spring time with new combinations of flavored beer is always a good time in my book. They offer glasses of draft or canned beer. Very interested to go get some can beers to go next time we visit.

Definitely try out Parleaux Beer Lab for laid back vibes, beer garden ambiance, and great drinks. Might be a bit hard to find, but you'll see a gravel walkway leading up to the outdoor area. We swung by this spot on a whim with a friend and it was so nice! We had a few hours to kill and decided to do tastings, which was great because there are a range of sizes available. I got the sour that they had on tap, and really enjoyed it. People were friendly and sociable, and there were cute dogs roaming around. They're following local covid guidelines, which is great. TLDR: Highly recommend checking out this spot if you're in nola, whether on vacation or a local!

Vietnamese crawfish and a flight. Perfect afternoon.

Perfect atmosphere for an afternoon beer. We enjoyed a pretzel, a flight, and Vietnamese crawfish. Our eight year old ran around finding lots of lizards. It was a nice afternoon.

So on my 3rd visit I had to declare Parleaux is my current favorite tap room. Now I haven't been to all the are breweries so. take that for what it is worth. They just hit on so many levels. The beer is awesome. They make a lot of lighter ales. They have one I like that is like champagne. Yeah beer lovers groan all you want, I like what I like. They are always experimenting and hey, they definitely have some losers, but the regular stuff that is always on tap is quality. They are a lab for sure and i will be their humanely treated test subject. Can't be worse than that government experiment I signed up for in college. I love that they have multiple pour sizes. Although I have noticed times when I was there for an event and that was not the case. As is typical for area breweries they do allow third parties to use the space for events. Everything from pilates to family friendly fundraisers. They also host food trucks. Saigon slim is my favorite pairing. The simple painted wood decor makes you feel as if you are in your pals backyard. The outdoor space is large for the bywater and definitely larger than the inside. I have only hung out outdoors. I applaud the pest control. Unlike nearby Bacchanal i dont feel attacked by bugs while i am there. Bathrooms are always clean. Like I said, they hit on multiple levels.

    Great design throughout
    Cesar R.

Parleaux is exactly what the Bywater water needed a stylish, non-pretentious brewery with great public space and even better beer! I was there on a Sunday and while it wasn't packed it had a good crowd of people all enjoying the Summer heat under the shade of the Pecan trees and shaded structures in the patio. The beer selection awesome! They have a little a little bit of everything for everyone. I had one of their Summer brews it was packed with citrus and very refreshing. I also tasted my friends Oatmeal Potter which was light and surprisingly had wonderful hints of coffee. Checkout their Instagram account to see which food trucks will be there throughout the week. Parleaux is a wonderful jewel in the Bywater Crown.

What was left of my delicious beer after getting bulldozed by a rampant child, no parent in sight.

What a change in atmosphere; groovy music & mumbly conversations to pure quietness and hearing everybody's voices. It was still a great experience. After about 15 minutes indoors with no a/c (IYKYK), the New Orleans heat caused us to head to the outdoor beer garden. It had rained a little bit, so it was a little cooler. FORTUNATELY, beer was still able to be poured, and the power was back on by the time the second beer was half gone. Aside from all that excitement, the focus is on the tasty beer created here. The two beers I had were great: Malcolm in the Mittlefruh and Helles Knows I'm Miserable Now (which I'm positive Morrissey would love - or would he just cry in it?). Kudos to the clever people that come up with the names! There is also a kitchen, but a belly still full from lunch, and no power meant no orders from us. Next time!

Unlike most breweries, I don't think Courtyard has a signature beer, there are no standards Jucifer or Paradise Park. They just make new stuff all the time, then run out of it, and brew something else. I think I have seen Sonic Youth in 1983 there more than once so maybe that's the closest thing. Regardless I am saying this as a good thing because every time I go, there is something knew. Courtyard is like the ultimate dive bar of breweries. There is a pop-up style kitchen that has held a variety of eateries over the years that used to include Burger Nerds and now has a taco place. There is mismatch furniture throughout the indoors and front courtyard. Most of the seating looks like they robbed a daycare. There is a couple of tv's, a piano, bullfighting art, an eclectic record collection and tons of plants outside. All of this gives Courtyard it's charm. My bar is usually pretty low for breweries because they are usually run on a shoestring by a group of guys that really love beer but don't always know how to run a business. This place is a weird, eclectic vibe. The furniture and overall vibe is pretty dumpy. The bar is even super wobbly. The beer list they have online indicating it is their current list was in no way related to the beer selection they actually had available. It was super limited with a lot of IPAs and sours. Not my jam. The is a food vendor on site as well; they have burritos, quesadillas, etc. it looked okay, but i wasn't in the mood for Mexican style food. Overall, it's fine. I like to try new places. Walking up from the water the first thing you see is this gigantic New Orleans mural and it's indicative of the brewery inside the same building - huge warehouse, it even has camper parked inside with a bar that extends much of the back wall. There are picnic tables so plenty of seating. I was there an early Monday afternoon so it wasn't busy at all, but I could imagine it being filled with lines to satisfy throngs of partygoers. There are five vertically placed flat-panel monitors with a variety of drink-menu options. I chose to get a flight of beers I hadn't had previously which ended up being 4 varietals of their King Cake Ale: * Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Creamy pale, almost registers as a fruited sour, sweet body with notes of almond, amaretto, cinnamon and vanilla. 4/5 * Coconut King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Milky coconut in this almost tart King Cale ale, getting notes of both raw and toasted coconut, almond, amaretto, sweet vanilla and cinnamon. 4.3/5 * Almond Crème Strawberry King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Creamy body with distinct almond note followed by vanilla and cinnamon. 4.2/5 * Strawberry King Cake Ale - Pale Ale - Other 6% - Fruity tart strawberry in this pale ale, finishes fruity and sweet, a touch dry. 4.1/5 Overall I enjoyed the beers I had - all very drinkable. The cinnamon was a bit much all at once, these are almost dessert beers and better taken in small amounts after you've slammed a few of their staple beers, in my opinion, but I'm still very glad I had them. The staff and service was good with an efficient demeanor - I think if they were slightly friendlier I might have stuck around and tried more of what they offered but as my second brewery (and plans for more exploration in the evening) I decided to keep things neat with this single flight.
