Such a cute spot! My first time visiting was Saturday & I was surprised that it wasn't busy! The bartender was nice & they may just have the best espresso martini! Definitely a great spot to stop for a quick drink & a cute vibe!

Can't say enough about this lovely cocktail/coffee bar. The space is sleek and simultaneously cozy. They have an excellent coffee menu as well as cocktails and a nice wine selection. They even have orange wines - my favorite! The bartender/barista was friendly and did a great job with my fiancés hibiscus margarita. I tried it because it looked incredibly refreshing. That being said, they have one of my favorite orange wines so I had to get it! Can't wait to visit again and try their coffee!

Cute space!!!! Right next to the saenger theater. Service was awesome!!! Drinks were tasty & reasonably priced. The decor is nice and not overwhelming. I'll be back. Can handle groups too. Check them out.

    Great menu, great drinks

Great ambiance and amazing service. Quality of drinks is off the chart. First time here but will be back without a doubt

Finally a true craft cocktail bar. Not a surprise because the bar manager is from Cane and Table, Sam; probably one of the best craft cocktail bars around the Quarter. They have a very innovative cocktail selection with a constantly rotating seasonal menu. A must try when visiting Nola.

I've been meaning to stop back by for a while, and the opportunity finally presented itself and I wasn't disappointed! They had a new drink on the menu described by the barkeep as spicy, and I love a spicy drank! I got in close to closing, but the staff was kind enough to let me in and even allowed me to order not just one, but two drinks! I tried the Alamo Sour, and I highly recommend it if you're into anything spicy. Great service & great drinks!

Love their cocktails, the eclectic decor and the friendly bartenders! Although they do have French quarter (higher) prices, it seems that they use quality ingredients unlike some of the other bars. Definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area!

This might be a Jungle Bird

This little bar is cute! There's even a nice lounge area next to the bar for a more relaxed feel. I stopped in before a show at the Saenger and this drink may or may not be a Jungle Bird. I can't remember but it was crafted perfectly. Delicious and effective!

What a cute bar off the beaten path! Loved the open space and planty vibe. And tasty & unique cocktails. Super cool spot to check out!

This coffee shop turns into a bar at 3pm (closed 2-3pm). The drinks here are yummy but on the pricier side. I got the Brazilian Skies, which is a tropical-tasting drink that has notes of vanilla (from the ube). I can't speak for the coffee, but the drinks are wonderful. The bartender was very friendly and even gave some recommendations for food & other fun things to do. Def worth checking out if you're in the area!

I have a long list of cocktail bars through New Orleans and Dovetail has been on my list for a while and it did not disappoint! The vibe is laid back, the space looks very nice, and the location is perfect. The service was outstanding. They were 2 bar tenders running the bar and they were efficient. I had a lot of question about the drink menu and they answered them all with a smile and gave great suggestions. That's all ways a plus makes you want to come back. The drinks were outstanding! We tried 4 different ones. Up first was the "Between the Boards" if you like Mezcal this would be your drink so refreshing but still stout the citrus and Hibiscus pairs excellent together. Next we had the "Burro No Barracho" this is a non alcoholic drink but we added tequila. That made it a Mexican mule, my first time having one it didn't disappoint. You can expect out your traditional Moscow mule but with tequila. The third drink was the "Sandlewood" a nice Caribbean Rum cocktail reminds me so much of a rum punch with a slight twist. But it looks completely different it might've been my favorite of the night. The Last drink of the night was the "Shiso Fly" it had Japanese rum Thai basil, Lemon Grass, Lime, and Thai Spice in it. It had an aromatic smell and a clean taste. This cocktails bar is a must stop!

This bar was a fabulous find on my last night in New Orleans. Only a 10 minute walk from my hotel, and everything was wonderful from the space to the service to the cocktails! The bar is very welcoming and pretty, with great seating space both at the bar and throughout the area. The bartenders were nice and quick, and we made good conversation. The cocktails themselves were absolutely fabulous, very unique and delicious. I would definitely suggest this as a stop if you enjoy craft cocktails, but also if you're just on your own looking for a night cap

Service was superb! The bartender will create a cocktail just for you based on your desires. I had a whiskey sour without egg white. It was pretty good. I topped off the evening with a Sazerac, a New Orleans favorite. He said he made the best in New Orleans, and he didn't lie. It was divine. Much stronger than others experienced throughout the French Quarter. This is a great spot to stop in for a drink. There is no food, so come prepared. It's great to stay somewhere where there is at least a bar downstairs that closes at midnight. Other patrons stopped in from the nearby hotel. The drinks were flowing and everyone was pleased with their drink and the service.

The presentation of the food came was amazing. We ordered the linguine and added meatballs, which was well worth it. We also ordered the shrimp & grits, which included Brussels sprouts. Boy, it was sure nice to get some vegetables in my stomach after eating all that yummy fried food during our stay! All in all, both dishes were delicious. It is a little on the pricey side, but after several days of eating in the touristy area of the French Quarter, this was truly a welcome change. Service was polite and attentive. I always appreciate the staff's efforts by making simply making eye contact and smiling (which they did). Seems trivial but I think those small things says a lot about a business. I would recommend this restaurant even if you are not a guest of the hotel.

The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!

My wife and I visited on our first NoLa trip together about 4 years ago and make it a point to go every time now. Our first time we stopped in for lunch at the bar and had an excellent experience, and decided to return. We came back on the next trip just to grab a drink and a snack before heading down for dinner in the Bywater. The bartender (Chris) gave a bunch of recommendations for places to visit that way, all of which we have done in the past few trips and have loved. But it's this past trip where we were truly blown away. We were in town for JazzFest and after walking back to the French Quarter, we were thinking about food options and decided to take a gamble to see if we could get a seat at the bar or maybe grab a drink for the road before getting food somewhere else. The bar was full when we got there around 8/8:15, but they had a no show and could serve us, as long as we ordered quickly and were ok with the check hitting the table right at 9PM. Given our slightly (perhaps generous) inebriated state from being at the festival all day and being slightly underdressed, we felt this was quite a kind accommodation. With the clear expectations of needing to get our orders in quickly, we wasted no time making a decision on our drinks and a few food options. Despite this need for a quick turn around, at no time did we feel rushed. The food and drinks were absolutely perfect, as they always are. But what impressed us most was the staff. At no point did the hostess or wait staff seem annoyed by us, despite us parachuting in from a music festival and looking like sunburn and poor decisions. By managing expectations on the front end, we never felt rushed despite the need for a quick turn around. They were all lovely, professional, and as cordial as if we were regulars with standing reservations once a week. In terms of atmosphere, it is always perfect: lively and fun for a date night, dinner with friends/family, or just a nice drink before a night out and about. I truly cannot begin to explain how much I love this restaurant and every experience I've had there. The awards and accolades this establishment (a sincere and lofty term Jewel of the South truly deserves) have been awarded are beyond well earned. Restaurants around the country should aspire to provide the quality of food, service, and overall hospitality Jewel of the South provides on a regular basis. It will continue to be our first and foremost recommendation to anyone we know who is going to New Orleans. Bravo! We shall return!

We shared 5 small plates - the crawfish bread - crawfish inside a crispy, flaky croissant like bread - OMG deliciousness. Then the tufa crudo - so fresh and flavorful, the crab tartlets - fine, but not as good as the other dishes; excellent salad, and the broccolini in a housemade horseradish goat cheese sauce - wow; one of the best broccolini dishes we have had. The carrots looked amazing, too. What a treat!

While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. The Apothecary was the cure. We grabbed seats mid bar and before we even finished settling in, there were waters waiting on the bar. That simple move already separated this place from the chaos outside. It's hospitality in its cleanest form: welcome in, take a breath, we got you. Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise. No frantic showboating, no syrupy cover ups, no sloppy pours even with the parade energy banging on the door. We ordered two and they were both dead on. Alchemist Elixir: pea flower gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon. It shows up pale violet with an orchid on the rim and yes it's pretty, but it's also disciplined. Corpse Reviver #2: local gin, Lillet Blanc, Grand Marnier, absinthe, fresh lemon. Cold, crisp, citrus first, then the herbal edge and just enough absinthe to remind you what city you're in. Served in a textured coupe with a cherry skewer, details handled like they actually matter. Outside, the streets were selling amnesia in plastic souvenir cups. Inside, The Apothecary was serving adults. Let Bourbon Street keep the grenades. Give me the anecdote .
