Finally got around to trying Parlor Doughnuts after hearing a lot of people compare this to Sidecar (my favorite donut place). It's located right on PCH so parking can be a little tricky but I love how you can enjoy your donut and walk right on the beach. There is a wide selection of flavors to choose from but do note that all of the flavors use the same plain base donut... What makes each flavor different is the icing and toppings on each one. As for the donut itself, i would describe it as a cross between a traditional yeast donut and a cronut (croissant donut); very crisp on the outside and has layers throughout the donut with a slight airy and chewy texture. I feel like you can't compare this place to Sidecar as Sidecar has more of a focus on yeast and cake donuts and the bases to their donuts are all different depending on the flavor.

Every time I've gone into this store, I've been greeted so warmly by the owner. She is genuinely so nice that you want to buy up all the donuts. Ordered: French toast, which is the store's popular donut, tastes like an upgraded maple bar Raspberry jelly- fluffy powdered and jammy, exactly like a jelly should be Pistachio - I think it was seasonal, but it was my favorite crunchy & nutty glaze donut Chill vibes, a few tables are available

Lovely environment and great customer service! We got a box of six, I personally tried the Blueberry Hill which was phenomenal. We loved it!

These were more like cronuts, but the staff was very nice and the flavors and toppings were extraordinary! Definitely give this place a shot!

I'm no donut expert but this here is what any doughnut connoisseur would call amazing! I ordered the highly suggested Strawberry Shortcake and it was even better than I imagined. Their selection of sweet and savory options is certainly a great reason to come back. The service was nice and friendly. And whether you're seated inside or outside you'll Be happy here.

Finally got to try Parlor Donuts (national store #100) after many months of drive by peaks and coming soon delays. Fun decorations inside and a big selection that feels a more like a donut art display than a typical donut case. After an extended deliberation (yah no line today)... I went with the caramel turtle donut, about 450 calories, so definitely a special-treat situation. Soft on the inside and really well made. A bit of guilt when I ripped a large wide bite into the closest corner. Yum and I had the sugar mouth corners and crumbs on my shirt as my badge of honor. Worth it! It's on PCH so parking can be tricky, but the ocean view makes up for it and feels fitting since the donuts are just as sweet. A little pricey, but enjoyable and worth it when you're in the mood to splurge. Carpe Donut! You'd have to be nuts not to try this dough!

I was so happy to see that Parlor opened in H.B. I go to the Oceanside location all the time. This location is right across from the pier. I ended up getting a maple bacon, and a cookies and cream doughnut. Both were very good. The doughnuts are messy so grab a couple napkins. I always scrap the drippings from the box that's the best part and I don't want to throw it away. The place was busy but the line went fast. This will be my first stop anytime im at H.B.

Came here for their grand opening because I might have been bribed by a free donut. We ended up getting a free donut each, and my husband ordered a cup of coffee. I ordered their coconut cream filled, which is absolutely delicious and he ended up with a maple bacon, which is also pretty good. The line moved relatively quickly, the shop was definitely well staffed in anticipation of the grand opening, and their donuts were stocked!! Cute interior. I'd definitely let my LO hang out here when it's less busy. Downtown has been needing a sweet shop like this so I'm glad we finally got it! I can't wait to come back and try one of their sandwiches.

Obsessed might be an understatement... literally if I lived in Cali I'd probably be here every day. We ordered 6 different flavors (strawberry shortcake, sandy beach, French toast, strawberry carnival, and chocolate chocolate) and each one had its own unique flavor and was just as good as the next. It was crispy on the outside & soft on the inside. Service was also great, gave us some good recommendations. Definitely a spot I'd keep coming back to!

The server was helpful in choosing a fun variety as it was our first time there. The place is rather small but it's cute and clean and most people don't plan on eating their donuts in the donut shop anyways. We loved the dough on these and the fun flavors. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the cream on top tasted like oily fake cream rather than fluffy homemade cream which I expected with the "made fresh daily marketing". I would definitely recommend these though over a normal doughnut shop and a pumped because I just discovered they have one in my hometown in UT!

DON'T WALK, RUN TO GET THESE DONUTS!! These are hands down some of the best west coast donuts I've had. They have a ton of different flavors to pick from and if they're out they even offer to make more. The staff was amazing and gave a ton of recommendations to choose from. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating also a water fountain to help with the sweet tooth.

Checking here for coffee & donut but waiting for the coffee almost 15 minutes????? Small store, They're New, just soft opening busy and a little slow but theirs Great Donut here. Should be stop by to try their fresh Donut ( not as the other store smell oil) Service okey, the girl a little slow!

I have been waiting a long time for this location to open up and it finally happened! I went to the grand opening and was the second person to receive a shirt and buy some doughnuts! I am fan of the doughnuts and the quality of this establishment so far is keeping the Parlor Doughnuts reputation high and steady. Still getting the hang of things the employees were doing a great job with the crowd they had. I believe I met one of the owners; she and the employees were very polite and definitely made me feel like an appreciated customer! The doughnuts were all good. I would not call these a traditional doughnut, but if you are a fan of doughnuts, you will like these doughnuts. These doughnuts are definitely made with quality ingredients. My favorite is the carnival vanilla glaze. Very traditional and a solid doughnut. I bought a couple of the mini doughnuts with the base cinnamon sugar cover and they tasted good without any topping on them. The bread of these doughnuts are good enough to eat alone and only get elevated when they add their other toppings on these little pieces of heaven! I look forward to supporting this business in the future! Service 8/10 Food 8/10 Overal 8.5/10

The food was quality all around. The Crispy Broccolini was done right, crispy but not overdone, which I appreciate. The Prime Rib Dip had a jus that was rich and full of flavor, and the Chopped Caesar with pancetta was the perfect complement to the meal. Only gripe is the portions are small for what you're paying, but that comes with the Huntington Beach territory. Now as a pastry chef, I have to talk dessert. The Brookie Cookie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce was the perfect way to end the night. Absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this spot, especially for brunch and mimosas. The atmosphere, the cocktails, and the food make it a place worth coming back to.

Food comes out promptly in appetizer vs entree phases which was nice. You do not have the full menu when you're dining on the rooftop but the items that are on there are all solid - went as a large party and ended up ordering and sharing one of everything. The drinks added up on my tab, but price to value is pretty great. The view over HB is amazing and they're charging the same price as dining most anywhere else. So why not get brunch for market rate anywhere else with the added benefit of the view being beautiful ‍ (it can get a little cold even mid day so bring a spare sweater).

Had such a great dining experience at Lōrea inside Pasea Hotel & Spa!…read moreLet me start by saying the food was SO delicious overall. Now, for full honesty, the starters weren't the star of the show for me. We ordered the pork belly wraps and spicy pork gyoza. Both were cooked well, but in my opinion, they were missing that extra "something" maybe a dipping sauce or a bit more flavor to really elevate them. Next time, I'd probably skip those and try different appetizers. The service was great from start to finish attentive, friendly, and everything came out smoothly. The restaurant itself is super cute, and I loved both the indoor and outdoor seating options. We sat outside under the heaters, which made for such a cozy, perfect vibe. BUT the mains and sides? That's where they absolutely delivered. I had the Korean BBQ salmon and WOW flavor on flavor on flavor. Easily one of my favorites of the night. For the table, we shared lobster mac and cheese, asparagus, and whipped potatoes, and let me tell you... those sides were everything. The portions are generous (perfect for sharing with 4-6 people), the mac and cheese was rich and creamy, the asparagus was cooked perfectly, and the whipped potatoes? Smooth, fluffy, and packed with flavor, definitely a standout. We were originally hoping for the tomahawk steak, but they had run out (sad moment ). However, they made it right by offering a prime New York steak for two and honestly, no regrets because that steak was FIRE. Super flavorful, juicy, and absolutely mouthwatering. We also tried the Wagyu and sea bass, which were both delicious, but the real highlights for me were the steak and salmon. Drinks were also on point! We had an Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule, and a few lemon drops including blackberry, passionfruit, and watermelon. The blackberry lemon drop was hands down my favorite, so good! To top it all off, they brought out the cutest birthday macaroons! One tasted like Fruity Pebbles (so fun!) and the other was paired with whipped cream and raspberries such a sweet touch. Overall, while the appetizers didn't quite hit for me, the mains and sides absolutely carried the experience and are 100% the reason I'll be back. I'll definitely be returning for more steak and that Korean BBQ salmon!

I called ahead of time and made a reservation and they knew it was for a special birthday. We did get a seat right against the glass overlooking the beach, which was very pretty and the restaurant is very pretty. But I guess it wouldn't have been that hard to get a table against the glass because there was only maybe three or four other table tables sat in the whole restaurant anyways. Our waitress came up to us and seemed nice and asked us if we wanted a drink but we literally hadn't even looked at the menu yet so I said I just need a minute to look and then she proceeded to not come back for about 15 to 20 minutes to take our drink order, which was disappointing. We waited so long before she came back that we went ahead and ordered the food and drinks at the same time because I didn't know when she would come back again. It took a long time to get the drinks. The drinks came about the same time that the food came. They only had a few specialty cocktail items available on the menu. I picked one. I did not like it, but that's not their fault. The food unfortunately was really bad. It all sounded really good, but I did not like it. The only thing that I liked was the salmon appetizer smoked salmon on a flatbread bread. The avocado toast had horrible bread, and the avocado on top tasted like spoiled avocado. And the fig and Barada, unfortunately was on the same bread that was absolutely horrible bread, and had no flavor on top. The rosemary french fries were good. I think the worst part of it though was the fact that the waitress that was waiting on us pretty much never showed up again. She wasn't even the one that brought us our food. And I had to wait probably 20 minutes for her to come back around when we were done eating and by that time I had just sent my card at the end of the table because I didn't want to wait for the check and then have to wait another 20 minutes for her to come back with that. It was odd to me because she couldn't have been that busy when she only had. What like two tables? Like what was she doing back there lol anyways it was not the best.
