Donuts are a rare treat in my household. However, my husband is a fan of the little donut "rounds" at Randy's Donuts. So I decided to order delivery of a dozen of the glazed AND a dozen of the "mixed" iced rounds. The mixed iced rounds come in 4 icing flavors and he doesn't like one of the flavors but I wasn't sure if they were able to make exceptions however, I made a special request in my online order not just to remove that flavor but to replace it evenly amongst the other 3 if available. I needed to leave this positive review because of the following: *They obliged my request in every way :) *The text communication about the delivery was fantastic *The delivery was extremely faster than expected *They were warm & fresh *They were neatly placed in the box along with a couple of the regular sized donuts that I "accidentally" ordered as well. :) It was just very professional and beyond what I would expect from a chain donut shop. Stopped at the drive-through right before heading to the OC Marathon finish line, and it went sideways pretty quickly. Pulled up and sat there for a few minutes with no acknowledgment... no "be right with you," nothing. That alone has you second guessing whether anyone is there, whether you should just go inside, whether you should leave. Not a great way to start. We placed our order and as we were wrapping up asked if we could swap out a donut. Silence. Got to the window, workers were just moving at their own pace and didn't acknowledge us for about 5 minutes. When someone finally came over we asked again about swapping the donut and she said "oh I heard you before." So she heard us at the speaker and just... didn't respond. That's not a small thing. Donuts were ok, nothing special. The small black coffee kept leaking out the side... lid was on tight, coffee wasn't filled to the top, so something is off with the lids. Overall the service made it hard to enjoy anything about the visit. read more

It is almost high noon and we were driving on Harbor Blvd when I saw the giant circle of a donut on the building. The lovely missus has been here before. Randy's Donuts!! We must stop and get some for an afternoon snack. We enter the store and see a display case with layers and rows of colorful morning sweetness. It is a challenge for sure. The lemon coated and the plumpy round Raspberry filled were her favorites. I'm going for the mound of an Apple Fritter. It was an easy sale for the friendly gentleman behind the counter. The missus got her purse out and she paid a very fair amount for the fresh and large tasty donuts. It was a big box that we carried out. Randy's Donuts was a super stop for huge "Texas" size snacks and that sugar coated Apple Fritter was exactly what I needed this afternoon. read more

It's incredibly handy to have a drive-through donut place. Really like the freshness of Randy's donuts and the staff are very helpful. The prices are on the high side, but also their donuts are pretty big, so I do want to recognize that. Please note, they do not sell iced tea. Iced coffee, yes, but no iced tea. read more

They don't know how to brew coffee here. Some days it's insanely strong like crude oil. Other days it's very watered down and weak. Here's why... When you brew coffee, the first half of the brew cycle is strong while the last part of the brew cycle is weak. Overall it balances itself out when the full brewing cycle is finished. But If you cheat and steal a cup of coffee early while it's still brewing, you're serving somebody insanely strong coffee. You're also throwing off the entire balance of the brew process and all other customers that come afterwards get a weak cup of coffee. Solution... tell customers they need to wait for the brew cycle to finish before they can get their cup of coffee. read more

You won't believe how excited I am about this place! We were in the area, so we just had to stop and grab some donuts. We ended up with six donutsand let me tell you, everything about this spot was fantastic. The ambiance was great, the service was spot-on, and the donuts? Incredible! They're definitely bigger than what you'd find at most donut shops, and the pricing reflects that, but they're absolutely worth it. And the roasted coffee was out of this world -- truly outstanding, good flavor. Plus, there was plenty of parking, and the whole establishment was super clean. Stopped by this business yesterday. My wife and I ordered a few donuts. Had the cream filled long John which was delicious. We also had the lemon buttermilk which was also great. Looking forward to the apple fritter later. The reason for the five stars is because of Pablo. He was very patient and nice to us while we were trying to figure out what to order. Greeted upon entering and wasn't sure if the taste would be the same as the other locations but it was and so yummy! Randy's donuts are high quality and the best maple moist but yet slight fresh crunch of a donut that other places just cannot replicate. I LoVe the cherry donut and butter crunch donut best!! So nice to see this chain expanding!! The decor is unfittingly modern here but nonetheless lends to a very clean aesthetic and restaurant. There is a drive thru to be noted but I went in the morning on Sunday 7am 6/28 and the guy working was so nice wishing me a lovely day and explaining all the choices at that time there was a pride month donut a 250th American birthday donut and a huge maple bar with bacon in which he said if that isn't American I don't know what is!! I stand by the creed whatever you do, do with gusto and treat people like you would! Absolutely Wonderful service made my morning turn into wonderful day. I prefer espresso but luckily there lattes pack a punch sometimes espresso outside Starbucks is isn't strong but this is good stuff here!! This was the first Orange County location for Randy's, the LA donut shop, but since its opening, there have been a couple more that were opened up here in OC. Honestly, there's nothing really special here. Your local mom-and-pop serving doughnuts in pink boxes probably makes tastier ones. But Randy's glazed and yeast-raised is always fluffy一 just the way I like it. Their Costa Mesa location has a 25 foot doughnut on the roof to pay homage to the original Inglewood shop. They also have a drive-through. Choose from a large variety of classic choices, deluxe doughnuts, fancy fritters, and premium pastries. The menu is pretty consistent over the years, but I saw they offer matcha drinks and boba now. Chocolate Raised and Maple Raised are also two simple and sweet options you can't go wrong with. The dough is kind of bready, but not dense at all. Butter Crumb Raised is heavenly but messy to eat, fair warning. Randy's donuts are my go to for my daily donut for work. I literally stop in almost everyday for my chocolate twist and maybe something else if I'm in the mood. Well there is this worker named Pablo. I give Pablo alone aside of the donuts a 5 star. He has been friendly, courteous and very welcoming from the day that I have met him. He greets me by name makes me feel welcome and is very thorough in every transaction. I adore this young guy. I mean who doesn't want to be treated like they are truly welcome while patronizing an establishment? He along with the chocolate twist is the reason that I keep coming. First of all, when I pulled up to the speaker to order, nobody was answering for a period of 10 minutes. After nobody answered, I pulled up to the first window, and was greeted by some guy named "Pablo." Not even a "hi, welcome, how can I help you today?" Instead, I was answered with a dramatic opening of the window, followed by a "what do you want." This is not how you attend customers, and this is an example of the worst customer service out there. I then proceeded with telling him my order, and when I asked him for his name, he said "what's yours" in the same attitude he gave me when he opened the window. This is unbelievable how business owners allow this to slide. "Pablo" you don't have to let off your frustration and anger on the customers....such a shame...If I could leave less than a 1 star rating I would gladly do it.
