Finally got to try these donuts with the wife! The donuts aren't your usual donuts since it's like a layered pastry almost but they're so good and lots of different choices. They even got minis. I finally stopped by Parlor this week and it was worth the wait! I was warmly greeted despite the rush, and Joe, one of the managers, took the time to walk me through the donut options based on my preferences, you can tell he really cares about the customers & team. We popped into Parlor doughnuts on a whim and it did not disappoint!! The shop is charming with a vintage military theme. It smells divine like fresh coffee and fresh bread. There wasn't a line on the Saturday afternoon and we were helped promptly. We chose coconut cream, caramel bourbon, and lemon doughnuts. My husband said the coconut cream was literally the best doughnut he has ever had. We didn't realize it at the time but the doughnuts are made in small batches so the doughnuts they're selling are extremely fresh. We will definitely be back!! read more

I went in knowing it was a doughnut shop and I only wanted the coffee. Their donuts on display look absolutely delicious. I caved (sort of) and ordered me a keto-friendly doughnut. The doughnuts are made after you order them - the ones on display are just there as a display. And each donut comes in a little box of its own. It's a fairly small spot but the staff are very friendly and helpful. I'm only sad that I didn't come here sooner. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Took my kids here for the first time and honestly, first impressions were great. The place looks awesome, the layout is clean, and the decor is really nice. Staff was friendly and welcoming too it felt like it was going to be a solid spot. But then the food kind of let us down. We ordered a dozen donuts to try a variety, and unfortunately they were pretty underwhelming. They all basically tasted the same just sweet with no real flavor or distinction between them. I also had higher expectations for the coffee since they're using a La Marzocco espresso machine, but it was honestly some of the worst coffee I've had. The only reason I'm not giving it one star is because the staff was genuinely nice. Just wish the quality of the food and coffee matched the vibe of the place. read more

We wanted to check out the HB parlor. We have been to the Oceanside parlor many times. The donuts taste good. My low review is with the service. I know this is a newly opened store so maybe I should be more lenient. But here is what I did not like. There is a sign when you first walk in from PCH. It says "Order Here". There are no other signs that say "Order Here". So I wanted under the "Order Here" sign for service. I was the first one there. There were only two people servicing the customers and they were busy so there was a 3-4 min wait till the next host to take the next order. Instead of providing service to me who was under the "Order Here" sign she says who's next. So some guy sitting down to the right of me says "I'm next", like who the f are you. Anyway. The host helps that's person for another 2-4 mins and when she says "who's next" I say "Me" and point to the sign "Order Here". Anyway never had that issue in the Oceanside parlor. Next time I go to the HB Parlor I'm gonna ask the host where is the line and make sure I understand who's going to be serviced next and where I sit on the que. This was Sunday Feb 1 around 11:15 am. Years ago there was a nice mom and pop donut shop in the same storefront. They probably got priced out. read more

The basic donut is light and flaky, more like a croissant than a donut. The toppings and fillings are added to that. Today I tried their raspberry jam donut holes (I forget what they called them exactly), and I will be buying more of those in the future. They make the espresso coffee the manual way, without push buttons, so a coffee order can sometimes require a wait if you don't order it in advance. read more

One of the best doughnuts I've ever had. My wife, daughter and I were visiting California from Phoenix and happened to notice this shop from the beach and made sure we stopped in before we left. Shayna is one of the nicest and courteous people I've had the pleasure to encounter! She made us feel so warm and welcome and even got our input on a type of doughnut she should do next! Her interaction with us meant a lot and we can tell her business is very successful especially judging by the fricken delicious 10/10 doughnuts.
