This is not your regular doughnut shop. You won't find raised or cake doughnuts here but instead what they call layered doughnuts, and they're delicious. A layered doughnut is like a cross between a croissant and a raised doughnut. They have a lot of flavors but they seem to run out early in the day even though they supposedly make small batches throughout the day. We came on a Sunday around 11am and they were out of some flavors. All of their doughnuts are $4.25 or $3.25 if you buy 12 or more. They also have mini versions as well as gluten free and vegan options. I decided to try their recommended French Toast flavor and Churro. The Churro one was simple with powdered sugar and chocolate on top, but it was good. The French Toast was much sweeter with a maple icing. It was okay but too sweet for me. We took our doughnuts to-go but the shop has a nice vintage vibe and enough tables to comfortably hangout in if you wanted to eat there. I love croissants so I enjoyed the texture of these doughnuts. I still like my traditional doughnuts but would come back when I want something a little different. Tip: Buy at least 2 doughnuts so they're packaged in a box. If you only get 1, they put it in a paper bag and it gets messy. Hopefully they'll consider getting single boxes.

Finally tried these layered donuts and I'm still thinking about them. Each bite was honestly better than the last. The layers are soft and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness so it doesn't feel heavy. I paired mine with a matcha, a cold brew, and a latte with lavender added and I'm officially in my lavender syrup era. The coffee was smooth and balanced and went perfectly with the donuts. If you love a good coffee and pastry moment this spot is such a cozy little treat yourself stop. Definitely coming back to try more flavors.

Only four stars for this location. They were out of many items. They only had coffee for beverages. One of my doughnuts was cold like it just came from the fridge. This location is dead compared to the other locations I've been to. I'll stick to Huntington, or Oceanside.

The doughnuts are delicious. I tried the one with pecans and I had to eat the whole thing at once. It's a mix of a croissant and doughnut. It was great!

Cinnamon Sugar (Mini). A timeless favorite, offering a warm cinnamon aroma and a tender crumb beneath its sugary coating.

I'm not exactly a "sugar at sunrise" person, but every so often, self-control decides to check-out and I somehow end up face-to-face with a parade of doughnuts. Send help, but also, don't send help. THE FOOD - Bourbon Caramel. A layered, soft doughnut with bourbon-infused caramel glaze on top. The subtle whiskey note adds just enough depth to feel fancy, while still letting you shamelessly lick the glaze off your fingers. - French Toast. Lightly crisp on the outside and soft within, this doughnut captures the essence of French toast with a maple glaze and a gentle dusting of cinnamon sugar. This is a popular doughnut, often recommended to first-timers as a must try. - Coconut Cream Filled (Mini). A petite treat with a satisfying crunch, revealing a cool, creamy coconut filling. - Raspberry Jelly Filled (Mini). Tart raspberry nestled inside a soft, airy center, finished with a veil of powdered sugar. - Cinnamon Sugar (Mini). A timeless favorite, offering a warm cinnamon aroma and a tender crumb beneath its sugary coating. THE VERDICT Thoughtfully crafted and full of character, these doughnuts strike a balance between elegance and comfort. There are more to try out, which calls for several more visits in the future.

Saturday morning 9am... dead inside... stay away!

Saturday morning at 9am... crickets. No one was there! For good reason... I show up to see what the rave was all about. They had 1 marshmallow donut left and my 2 preschoolers wanted the same one despite my getting 2 different ones, so I asked for a knife. Seemed like I was talking a foreign language... the two young ladies at the front said it's against their policy to provide knives. I'm like can you please split this for the kiddos? They then threw a fit that it's against company policy to cut a donut even in the back. After getting upset, they begrudgingly cut one of the 2 donuts and gave me an attitude that "we don't cut donuts here". Puzzled I asked for their names and both refused and ran to the back... my young ones couldn't believe any of this either. This place isn't going to last!!! Such poor customer service.

Just had parlor doughnuts and they were so good and worth the price! All the donuts are cronuts that look and taste amazing! These donuts are definitely trendy and worth the experience!

Layered flakey donuts. More like cronuts.
    Donna P.

The donuts are more like cronuts. Soft, flaky, yet donut tasting. If you can't do many donuts due to their richness or density (like myself), these will be a great replacement!!! There's one opening in hunting beach soon and that is so much closer for us. Yayyyy. If they don't have one of the flavors that you want, it takes a minute for them to go and make one for you. The service is quick and they are very friendly. The line moves quick, too. Got doggies? They even have a doggie donut for your fur baby.

I really liked this spot! Their donuts are DELICIOUS, somewhere in between a croissant and a donut and they don't feel as heavy!! They had lots of fun flavors, including seasonal donuts and drinks! Definitely one of those pastries I can eat all of. Service was great as well. The interior was comfortable and inviting, and I liked that they even had plates to use if you were dining in. I will definitely be back!

I got to try Parlor at a work meeting and would totally recommend! They were huge donuts, so definitely shareable. They tasted very fresh and had a great variety of flavors. I tried the Oreo which had a sweet glaze with chunks of Oreo. The berry and maple both looked great as well. It looks like they have Keto and other specialty options that I'd love to go back and try!

    Virginia N.

I randomly ran into parlor at 11am on a Saturday and just had to try! The majority of the donuts were already sold out by this time but I was able to try the bourbon caramel and each mini. OMG every single donut was amazing. They are light and fluffy and the icing was perfect. The value for cost is also totally worth it in comparison to some of the other specialty donut shops that are charging $6-7 per donut, these ranged between $3.50-6.

Updating my rating as I spoke to the manager Dakota and she apologized for what happened and provided some vouchers for the inconvenience and bad experience. She shared it was a system issue that caused the misunderstanding.

Blueberry Hill, Maple Bacon, and French Toast ($4.25/each). Didn't like the blueberry one very much. 3/23/2025

I've been a fan of Parlor Doughnuts since my very first encounter with this establishment in Oceanside. This location makes the same quality of croissant doughnut as their Oceanside location. It's crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. For $4.25, it's not bad compared to other gourmet donut shops. French Toast and Maple Bacon are my favorites. I'm not a fan of their Blueberry Hill since it tastes artificial and lacking in that fresh tart flavor I had hoped for. I love that they have interior seating and it's much larger compared to Oceanside. They're decor is clean, simple, and all around American.

I read that this is owned by a Japanese couple who has extensive knowledge and love for coffee. Tucked in a corner within a small shopping plaza by a Japanese bakery, Mameya is a micro roaster that offering coffee enthusiasts and connoisseurs an opportunity to select over a dozen raw single origin and blend beans. Excellence in every Roast. at Mameya, there is precisely. And passion to every bean. Service is great. The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly if you have any questions or inexperienced. The ambiance is intimate and rather small. There isn't a lot of space where you can sit or stand. Pros: I ordered their pour over common blend and it was solid. I also grabbed a 12oz bag of their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Natural. It took about 20 minutes for them to complete the roasting process. After 4 days, I grinned the beans for a pour over and could tell this was already going to be a decent cup of joe. I did not see any significant bloom but the draw time was great based on my grind size. Cons: This shop is too far and too small so if there is a line and you don't have time, you might have to skip the experience. While I don't anticipate Mameya expanding, I would come back in a while.

My sister and I really enjoyed the coffee during our last visit, so we were hoping the matcha would live up to the same standard. I ordered the Double Matcha Latte with oat milk and 50% sweetness, and it had a really nice strong matcha flavor. My sister got the Raspberry Matcha Latte, since raspberry is usually her go-to flavor pairing, and she liked it overall but realized raspberry may not be her favorite fruit to combine with matcha. The server also mentioned that the drinks are sweetened with agave, which was nice to know. I also appreciated that they don't charge extra for milk alternatives, especially as someone who is lactose intolerant. Even at 50% sweetness, I probably could have gone a little less sweet, but overall it was still a great experience. Definitely a place I'd come back to again.

The vanilla latte was smooth and well-balanced, while the iced matcha was refreshing and had a nice matcha flavor without being overly sweet. The café has a welcoming atmosphere and quality ingredients that really shine through in the food and drinks. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm craving a good coffee or matcha run! Overall the experience was okay, but it didn't quite blow us away. The service felt pretty rushed…read morethey didn't really greet you or say hello, just asked for your order and waited. They also didn't offer much explanation about their drinks, so if you're not sure what you want, it can feel a little rushed. Inside seating is very limited, which makes sense for the size. The highlights for us Young man offered me a sample of Kombucha: the kombucha was solid, and refreshing. Both the regular latte and the black latte were okay. The blackberry latte was better. One nice bonus is there's a great park just around the corner down the hill with beautiful views. You can grab your drink and drive over to sit and enjoy it there, which is a nice touch. But honestly, it's probably not worth making a special drive for.
