The location is perfect! Walking distance to a beach. Walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. The room was clean and charming! I'd stay here again and again!

Had a great experience at Laguna Beach House. The hotel is clean, cute, and very cozy. The location is perfect, you get a view of the beach from the hotel and it's only a 10min walk to Main Beach. Love that they provide beach chairs and towels when you ask. No breakfast, but free coffee in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again!

This is Main beach in Laguna on my way back to the hotel from dinner

This hotel is amazing, when I arrived, all I could smell were the most tasty chocolate chip cookies and they offered me a glass of wine and then I went up to my room to enjoy my cookies and wine! The staff is very friendly and sweet, I had everything I needed, the bed was comfortable, the snacks were amazing and very thoughtful and I just really enjoyed my stay, the hot tub was nice. It was nice to sit out and relax by the pool and then enjoy sitting by the fire pit... Also, I love Laguna Beach and I also love that this hotel is within walking distance to everything that you need. You definitely do not need a car when you're in Laguna Beach if you just want to stroll the streets and take in all the beauty, eat at some nice restaurants and check out all of the really cool galleries. Thank you, Laguna Beach house, I can't wait to come back!!!

I was really excited to stay here for Valentines weekend, as I've stayed at The Scott, their sister property in Scottsdale several times and love it. Upon arrival I was told the hot tub was out of order, which was very disappointing because it was one of the highlights of staying at the hotel considering it's freezing at night the pool is not an option. The ocean view room we selected was bright and airy upon entering but partial view as stated, blocked by many other buildings, so was very limiting. The location was great for walking distance to beach and the shops. After waking up in the morning we noticed our room was full of ants, in the bed we were sleeping in, on the tables, nightstands. Completely unacceptable and disgusting, we had no food or beverages in our room. Would never stay here again or recommend. Felt more like a cheap motel, and for the price we paid it's definitely not. Ruined our little getaway.

I want to explain first why I didn't give 5 stars. I booked my reservation through Expedia about 6 months before my trip. At the time, the price seemed reasonable compared to other properties. I began to see negative reviews about surprise charges and I reached out to the property and was assured I wouldn't see any shocks. At that time, I also noticed the property was $500-600 cheaper for a rental. The property couldn't accommodate any change in rate because I booked through Expedia and I wasn't aware I had to address with Expedia 24 hours before arrival. I was a little bitter upon arrival, but tried to remain optimistic. We arrived late on a Friday night but were able to enjoy a quick meal across the street. Like someone else stated, the location was perfect. It was about .4 mile walk to the beach, but we had no problem with the walk. It was close to eateries, Starbucks and the park behind the hotel which had beautiful views and several options to hang in the grass if you'd like to eat there. The neighborhood is nice and was great for morning runs. The room was perfect for 2 people. It was decorated cute. The toilet kept running and the sink would clog but it didn't negatively impact our stay. They also brought us up a microwave when I asked if there was one accessible to heat up leftover pizza. They also provided umbrellas for use when requested. We never used the pool due to weather, but it was a cute little area that seemed to get some family usage. Walls ARE thin! We heard people coming in very late/early morning each night. I'm not going to complain because I was that person before, but it's good to know that you do hear things. Although there are trees, power lines and some housing in view, you CAN see the ocean. We were also able to see from our bathroom window and could see a dolphin from time to time. In summary, the hotel was an expensive stay for us, but could definitely be much more reasonable pending your booking time. It was overall perfect for us and my daughter would love to return. We loved the area. We loved the proximity to everything and staff were certainly friendly when we had to request things. No

Right when you walk in they have some beach town activities to purchase

What an unexpected one night stay at Laguna Beach House Hotel. This beautiful man who I've been seeing and I decided to get a hotel room for Sunday night. I was very excited because the two of us have been super busy with work which resulted in not seeing much of each other for two weeks. He sent me the link to this hotel and it was the perfect spot to enjoy one another's company. He was finishing up with his Mother's Day celebration, so I was the first to check in. The man working the front desk was very nice and welcoming. I told him I worked at a hotel and he didn't end up charging me for parking! After getting checked in, I was off to my room. I made my way up the elevators to the first floor where the pool and our room was. It was modern and perfect for this beach town. I sat on the comfy chair waiting for my baby's arrival. He called me and told he he was 15 minutes away. I was sitting in front of a mirror where I could see behind me. 15 minutes later, I saw him walking towards the room. I opened the door and immediately ran into his arms! We got him situated and enjoyed each others company. He needed to shower from his long and hard work day and I decided to join him hehe. I have to say that the shower curtain is very short and the floor got really wet when we were in the shower. He's always told me about shower beer which sounded relaxing, so we both had a beer in the shower. We didn't plan to go out since it was Mother's Day. All we wanted to do was cuddle, drink beer, and catch up. In the midst of it all, he asked, "Would you be mine?" I smiled and responded, "if you'd be mine!" I was not expecting him to officially ask me to be his girlfriend but I'm happy he sis He had to teach his students in the morning so we were up around 6am. It was a very short stay but definitely one that I will always hold very near and dear to my heart. Thanks Laguna beach house for becoming a special place for my boyfriend and myself, we'll be back!

What a wonderful find. My husband and I needed a getaway and I googled places in Laguna. This was a gem of a find. The hotel is so cute and quaint. They have thought of everything, even evening cookies. The room was very clean and the decor was nice. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, towels and sunscreen were provided. We also spent the day on the beach and they had all we needed (chairs, towels, even boogie boards) for us to use at no extra charge. We walked everywhere, hotel is located on the perfect spot. My husband also enjoyed a short stroll the local coffee shop practically next door. We would 100% stay here again!!!

Lipstick & pen marks under the pillow on the top left corner of the bed. Took 2 calls & 20min to get new sheets.

You want to walk whenever possible because parking is a bit stressful and walking allows you to enjoy all that Laguna Beach has to offer. One of my favorite things about the room was being able to open the windows and sliding door to the beautiful ocean breeze. It's the best! (We couldn't do that for a portion of our stay because a couple of the neighbors continued to smoke. Not the hotel's fault because it is non-smoking but we were bummed that we kept smelling it in our room.) The room was nice, quaint and clean in general. For the price per night, I would say it might be due for some up keep just from normal wear and tear, such as new pillows and things like that. It wasn't super fancy or anything but the location of it offered beautiful views! The hotel and staff are lovely overall. We would genuinely stay here again.

She explained all the hotel's amenities. In addition to the room charge, a $40 resort fee got us: 1. On-site parking; 2. Welcome sangrias; 3. Chocolate chip cookies each night; 4. A European styled breakfast each morning from 7am to 10am; 5. Wi-fi; 6. Beach chairs and umbrellas. Parking in Laguna Beach is a premium, so parking at the resort was great. The city of Laguna offers a free shuttle with a bus stop almost in front of the hotel. So we parked our car and took the shuttle all over town. The property is a well maintained, quant renovated 26 room Italian style resort. It's clean, charming, and has lots of character. It felt nice being at a small property and not at a large commercial hotel. We felt like we were back in Italy on vacation again! Just walking past the front of the hotel, you would not know that there is a luxury resort inside. They have a heated swimming pool (83 degrees), a sauna, and a secluded sun bathing lounge area and several other amenities. We opted for the heated wellness treatment which is a jacuzzi hot tub for two with mineral water. But they also offer single and couples messages and other message therapies. They have a quant internal courtyard for dining as well. We enjoyed a great European breakfast each day which was well prepared, fresh, healthy, and served by great hostesses. We especially liked the frittatas, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee, and iced cold lemon water. The property is a historic landmark, so it doesn't offer handicap accessibility. So if you or someone in your group is in a wheel chair or uses a walker then this property won't work for you. Overall we really enjoyed staying here and would definitely go back again.

We very much appreciated all the amenities this inn had to offer such as the welcome drink, evening cookies (delicious!), sauna, sunblock at the pool, towels, lovely breakfast.. all complimentary (breakfast with resort fee). We also appreciated the 10% military discount. We stayed in room 23 which was a standard queen bed with garden view and liked that spot because it felt central, private, and quiet. The room is on the smaller side but it was fine. It does not have a fridge but they provide an ice bucket. We ended up putting our bottled waters on top of the AC box and that kept it cool. Being that the inn is beautifully historic, there weren't many outlets inside the room. The bath robes were very plush. Both lamp shade knobs didn't seem to turn properly but we made it work somehow. Otherwise, we felt well taken care of throughout our stay and so glad we came. Aside from the inn, there is a walk to get to Victoria Beach. We walked south along Coast Highway to Victoria Place and found the underpass from there. We also took the free trolley outside of the hotel to get around town. It could be quite a wait for the trolley as we waited 30 mins. There is a QR code on the sign to track the trolley locations.

I researched every hotel I could find that was within walking distance to the beach in Laguna. I was not sure what to expect since reviews were a little inconsistent. The bed was very comfortable too. Our room had direct access to the pool and that was a nice feature. Other reviews mention the high cost, I agree, it was costly with additional fees. However it's not an economy hotel. It's directly on the beach and I expected to pay a premium rate because of that. A welcome note and fruit were left in the room upon arrival. The staff were great, Sam checked us in and he was very sweet. Cons - Our room was not serviced for our 2 night stay. We removed our dnd sign from 11-3 and no one came. For $600 a night this is wild to me that our mats were still wet and no coffee refilled, I didn't see the cleaning staff once throughout our stay. - There is no true restaurant at this hotel. Bites and drinks but no substantial meals. Wasn't surprising to see takeout bags all throughout the halls. - As others stated $75 a night parking fee is wild but you can take your car out as much as you like since there is no Valet - zero amenities in the room -- you have to pay for toothbrush, no water bottles or even carafes of water. Overall the staff, outside of the lovely check in woman were essentially non existent. No cleaners, and even in the morning there were 2 men but they didn't greet or acknowledge anyone. Again for $300 it would be fine and expected but for $600 and on some days even $1K a night on the 4th of July this is wildly overpriced for what you get.

When I reported the incident, I expected at least a professional investigation and clear communication. Unfortunately, neither was provided. The most frustrating part was the lack of communication from hotel management. I had to follow up seven separate times before receiving any meaningful response regarding my claim. Even then, the information I received was inconsistent and contradictory. One hotel associate told me that security cameras were being reviewed, while another later informed me that there are no cameras in the parking lot at all. This lack of coordination and transparency made an already stressful situation even worse. When the hotel finally responded, they pointed to a limited liability disclaimer allegedly printed on the parking placard. However, the placard I was given was already torn when I received it, and I was never asked to read, acknowledge, or sign anything related to parking liability. Using a damaged placard as evidence that guests were properly informed feels misleading and raises serious concerns about how these policies are communicated. While I understand that hotels may have policies limiting liability, I expected better security measures, more professional communication, and a genuine effort to assist a guest whose property was damaged on-site. Instead, I encountered delays, conflicting information, and a complete lack of accountability. Based on this experience, I would strongly encourage future guests to exercise caution when parking here and to carefully document the condition of their vehicle and any parking materials they receive. The hotel's handling of this situation has left me with little confidence in its commitment to guest service and customer care.
