My wife heard about this place so we came to try it out and they did not disappoint! This is a very cool doughnut shop, very clean inside. The staff are super helpful, we couldn't decide what flavors to get and they were super patient nice and open to answering our questions even with other customers coming in. The doughnuts were amazing! And so big which makes them worth the price. We'll definitely be returning.

Nice spot. The donuts are very sweet so I can eat half a donut at a time. I don't have a sweeth tooth but my husband who does devoured them. My favorite was the strawberry shortcake. FYI if you don't see the donut you want in the case ask the staff if they have it available. They may have some in the back that they will freshly glaze and decorate for you.

Co workers are always happy when you bring treats to work and mine were quite happy. The doughnuts are BIG. A few of us cut them up and we really enjoyed trying the different flavors. The box was soon empty and everyone was happy.

This is not your regular doughnut shop. You won't find raised or cake doughnuts here but instead what they call layered doughnuts, and they're delicious. A layered doughnut is like a cross between a croissant and a raised doughnut. They have a lot of flavors but they seem to run out early in the day even though they supposedly make small batches throughout the day. We came on a Sunday around 11am and they were out of some flavors. All of their doughnuts are $4.25 or $3.25 if you buy 12 or more. They also have mini versions as well as gluten free and vegan options. I decided to try their recommended French Toast flavor and Churro. The Churro one was simple with powdered sugar and chocolate on top, but it was good. The French Toast was much sweeter with a maple icing. It was okay but too sweet for me. We took our doughnuts to-go but the shop has a nice vintage vibe and enough tables to comfortably hangout in if you wanted to eat there. I love croissants so I enjoyed the texture of these doughnuts. I still like my traditional doughnuts but would come back when I want something a little different. Tip: Buy at least 2 doughnuts so they're packaged in a box. If you only get 1, they put it in a paper bag and it gets messy. Hopefully they'll consider getting single boxes.

This was the best doughnut I've ever had. I got chocolate on chocolate, and it was light and airy, the cake part tasting more like a croissant. The girl behind the counter was friendly and offered up her recommendations. I give this place 5 stars. Next time I'm trying the bacon one!

Finally tried these layered donuts and I'm still thinking about them. Each bite was honestly better than the last. The layers are soft and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness so it doesn't feel heavy. I paired mine with a matcha, a cold brew, and a latte with lavender added and I'm officially in my lavender syrup era. The coffee was smooth and balanced and went perfectly with the donuts. If you love a good coffee and pastry moment this spot is such a cozy little treat yourself stop. Definitely coming back to try more flavors.

Only four stars for this location. They were out of many items. They only had coffee for beverages. One of my doughnuts was cold like it just came from the fridge. This location is dead compared to the other locations I've been to. I'll stick to Huntington, or Oceanside.

Cinnamon Sugar (Mini). A timeless favorite, offering a warm cinnamon aroma and a tender crumb beneath its sugary coating.

I'm not exactly a "sugar at sunrise" person, but every so often, self-control decides to check-out and I somehow end up face-to-face with a parade of doughnuts. Send help, but also, don't send help. THE FOOD - Bourbon Caramel. A layered, soft doughnut with bourbon-infused caramel glaze on top. The subtle whiskey note adds just enough depth to feel fancy, while still letting you shamelessly lick the glaze off your fingers. - French Toast. Lightly crisp on the outside and soft within, this doughnut captures the essence of French toast with a maple glaze and a gentle dusting of cinnamon sugar. This is a popular doughnut, often recommended to first-timers as a must try. - Coconut Cream Filled (Mini). A petite treat with a satisfying crunch, revealing a cool, creamy coconut filling. - Raspberry Jelly Filled (Mini). Tart raspberry nestled inside a soft, airy center, finished with a veil of powdered sugar. - Cinnamon Sugar (Mini). A timeless favorite, offering a warm cinnamon aroma and a tender crumb beneath its sugary coating. THE VERDICT Thoughtfully crafted and full of character, these doughnuts strike a balance between elegance and comfort. There are more to try out, which calls for several more visits in the future.

The doughnuts are delicious. I tried the one with pecans and I had to eat the whole thing at once. It's a mix of a croissant and doughnut. It was great!

Layered flakey donuts. More like cronuts.
    Donna P.

The donuts are more like cronuts. Soft, flaky, yet donut tasting. If you can't do many donuts due to their richness or density (like myself), these will be a great replacement!!! There's one opening in hunting beach soon and that is so much closer for us. Yayyyy. If they don't have one of the flavors that you want, it takes a minute for them to go and make one for you. The service is quick and they are very friendly. The line moves quick, too. Got doggies? They even have a doggie donut for your fur baby.

    Yummy breakfast with friends!

I really liked this spot! Their donuts are DELICIOUS, somewhere in between a croissant and a donut and they don't feel as heavy!! They had lots of fun flavors, including seasonal donuts and drinks! Definitely one of those pastries I can eat all of. Service was great as well. The interior was comfortable and inviting, and I liked that they even had plates to use if you were dining in. I will definitely be back!

I got to try Parlor at a work meeting and would totally recommend! They were huge donuts, so definitely shareable. They tasted very fresh and had a great variety of flavors. I tried the Oreo which had a sweet glaze with chunks of Oreo. The berry and maple both looked great as well. It looks like they have Keto and other specialty options that I'd love to go back and try!

    Virginia N.

I randomly ran into parlor at 11am on a Saturday and just had to try! The majority of the donuts were already sold out by this time but I was able to try the bourbon caramel and each mini. OMG every single donut was amazing. They are light and fluffy and the icing was perfect. The value for cost is also totally worth it in comparison to some of the other specialty donut shops that are charging $6-7 per donut, these ranged between $3.50-6.

Saturday morning 9am... dead inside... stay away!

Easily 10 out of 5 stars…read more I've been coming here since they first opened about three years ago and can honestly say this is hands down the best coffee in SoCal. Genuinely surprised I haven't left a review sooner. It's a small, quaint shop with a clean and mellow interior, relaxing jazz playing in the background, and aroma of freshly brewed coffee that always transports me back to Japan. Daisuke and his team greet everyone with such genuine warmth that you immediately feel welcomed. Their hospitality is unmatched, but what keeps me coming back is the consistency. Every drink is made with care, and they're always happy to take the time to explain the differences between their beans, recommend something based on your preferences, and answer any questions without ever making you feel rushed. You can tell they truly care about both their craft and their customers. I usually order the café au lait, and it's the only coffee shop where I'm confident in asking them to make it however they like. Every now and then I'll also pick up a bag of their beans to brew at home, and I highly recommend doing the same. They carefully help you choose from their wide variety, then grind the beans for you or sell them whole if you have your own grinder. Grinding fresh beans takes about 15-20 minutes, so if you're driving from farther away, I'd recommend calling ahead or placing an order through their website for pickup. The quality of the coffee speaks for itself, but what really sets this place apart is the experience. It's rare to find a coffee shop where both the product and the people are this consistently exceptional. Where most coffee shops tend to rush you out I think the difference here is that you genuinely feel welcomed. Wishing Daisuke and the entire team nothing but continued success. They deserve every bit of it. If you're looking for incredible coffee, authentic Japanese hospitality, and a place that genuinely cares about what they serve, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it.

It's essentially an Americano topped with matcha instead of milk, making it a great option for someone like me who is lactose intolerant. The drink had a nice bold coffee and matcha flavor. I did ended up adding a little honey when I got home since I wanted a little bit of sweetness. I also have to give credit to the service. For a holiday weekend, I was surprised there was only one employee working, especially with a steady line of customers coming in. Stopped by this location after grabbing coffee at Mameya Coffee Roasters next door around 10 AM on a Saturday morning. Lots of parking in this plaza and a decent amount of seating outside (shared with some of the shops next door so they fill up). There were a few things that were not available and in the process of being baked so I didn't get to try all of the items I had my eye on but I got the red bean salt bread, kobo kuma cream bread, honey butter croissant and curry pan. All came out to around $15 which I think is comparable for the type of items in the general area. - Red bean salt bread: nice salt contrast between the salt and sweetness from the anko. The outside is crispy from the fried butter during the baking process but the interior is light and fluffy - Kobo kuma: super light and fluffy shokupan bread (was honestly shocked when I picked it up how light it was), interior is a not too sweet cream - Honey butter croissant: kind of small to be honest but I think because it's so sweet/indulgent it's the perfect small bite. Reminiscent of a kouign amann - Curry pan: usually not a fan of how the curry runs on the sweeter side for most curry pan but this one was predominantly savory with a rich curry flavor. The bun was nice and crispy but didn't feel overly oily/heavy. The everything bagel was toasted perfectly, and the chocolate muffin was soft, moist, and the perfect sweet treat alongside our drinks. The vanilla latte was smooth and well-balanced, while the iced matcha was refreshing and had a nice matcha flavor without being overly sweet. The café has a welcoming atmosphere and quality ingredients that really shine through in the food and drinks. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm craving a good coffee or matcha run! Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area

Overall the experience was okay, but it didn't quite blow us away. The service felt pretty rushed…read morethey didn't really greet you or say hello, just asked for your order and waited. They also didn't offer much explanation about their drinks, so if you're not sure what you want, it can feel a little rushed. Inside seating is very limited, which makes sense for the size. The highlights for us Young man offered me a sample of Kombucha: the kombucha was solid, and refreshing. Both the regular latte and the black latte were okay. The blackberry latte was better. One nice bonus is there's a great park just around the corner down the hill with beautiful views. You can grab your drink and drive over to sit and enjoy it there, which is a nice touch. But honestly, it's probably not worth making a special drive for.
