Unfortunate I have to leave just one star, but I do have to say there is very much needed improvement for this store. When a company has a doughnut and latte deal but the location does not have the ability to make a latte, there is a big problem. I really wanted to give this place another try but, that's strike two. The last time I was in here, I got an iced coffee and it was probably top 3 worst coffee flavor I have ever had. Again I really really wanted to give this try number two but this store made that not an option. I do hope in future whoever operates this location improves and makes a better experience for their customers. I went to check out this new donut shop and the store was very nicely decorated and the staff was friendly. I like that there are several tables and chairs to sit which is not typical of donut shops. I got the Cookies and Cream, French Toast and Blueberry donuts. The donuts are very flavorful but too sweet and sticky for my own personal taste, I had to use a knife and fork to eat the donuts because they were too sticky for my hand and napkin. If you have a super sweet tooth this will be a good place for you. read more

While we like these doughnuts to some degree, the sugar amount was almost abusive to the tastebuds... and really overwhelming the other flavors... this was our first try so maybe they are figuring it out as it's a newly opened location. Staff were somewhat friendly, not a lot of smiles but got your food. Not a typical doughnut shape more of like a funnel cake of sorts. Incredibly messy to eat... don't plan on taking a bite in the car unless you want doughnut everywhere and be sure to grab extra napkins. Generous portion and delicious donuts. The French Toast is their best seller and is sweeter than the coconut cream. The staff were friendly and helpful as this was our first time here. Yes these are as good as people say they are. But don't be fooled. These aren't cronuts and they aren't donuts. They're a "layered donut" similar to a croissant pastry dough. We came for opening day after a crazy marathon pace training run. We earned our bites today. Dare I say they're healthier than a normal donut? I would say so. This is mental health. Not gut health. UNLESS you order their kombucha on tap! This kombucha lives through the donut and is a perfect compliment. Don't dare do milk. I don't drink a lot of kombucha, but this was really good here. Sidecar Donuts set the bar so incredibly high for OC that I rarely go elsewhere. But I tried this place because it is nearby and these donuts are DELICIOUS. They are not heavy, doughy donuts at all. They are light, flaky, almost croissant texture. And the options they have are plentiful. I tried about six varieties and liked them all. Specialty donuts, super fresh and efficient ordering by app. Love that we can order one or two donuts to indulge once in a while, or buy a dozen to share with friends and family. The price for a dozen knocks $1 off each donut. It's a nice alternative to birthday cakes as you can have a variety of flavors. Donuts are ok -- sometimes they're oily or sometimes they're good. Also, why is the floor so sticky? And, sometimes you'll get great customer service and sometimes you'll be the only one in the store waiting for a bit as employees are in the back... I finally got my money back from the credit card company. These guys are crooks. They took my money and then told me they had no vegan donuts. When we asked for our money back they told us they had to have the manager do that and the manager wasn't there. We never got our money and when we went back to complain they told us that we weren't the only ones complaining. Not only are they crooks, but the donuts that we tried were stale and very chewy. I would hate to see the nutritional content to see how many calories and how much fat but definitely worth it. The staff is friendly, quick. Only downfall are these are not cheap. I had never heard of Parlor Doughnuts and thought I'd give them a try especially since they were giving me a free one (normally $5). I ordered a total of four including the freebie. First of all, they are more like mini cakes than donuts. Each one is enough for a couple people to enjoy. I ordered their signature French Toast, the Sandy Beach (tastes like a cinnamon roll), the Blueberry, and the Strawberry Shortcake. Took them all home to share with the family and write a review. For me, they are a bit too sweet. Not overly sweet, but borderline. They all taste really good, but had to be split. I probably won't go back very often unless I just want a good dessert. We stopped in a little before 9 AM on a Saturday morning. The two young ladies working the counter seemed just that - much too young to be working there. They weren't really sure how to wait on us. We ordered five donuts and one coffee. The donuts were OK, nothing I would ever go back for. They were thick and heavy, not light and airy. They were also extremely sweet, something a donut should be, but these were overly sweet. The cup of coffee tasted old and was cold. One of the young ladies said she would make a fresh pot, she did, but it wasn't ready until we were leaving. Wow! We stopped by to try a donut and were impressed! My husband had the peanut chocolate and it was to die for!!!!! My raspberry filled was heavenly! They look pretty but for some reason I expected them to be dry, but they were opposite! They have a different texture than most donuts, and are fluffy layered goodness. This is our new go to donut shop! Since we moved to the area from Newport, we wanted a new donut place to replace Sidecar, and this is definitely it! We both agreed that it is better than Sidecar!
