I see the doughnut love this place gets. Fully stocked when we went in on a Sunday morning, there's a line but it goes smoothly and the doughnuts were so light and fluffy. What I liked the most about them was that there was not a hint of oil taste in the doughnuts they were just light fluffy and sweetened just right with flavorful distinguishing frosting flavors. Might I add they aren't the traditional doughnut but rather cronut like with light fluffy layers in each one. They had house made syrup flavors as well and the Mayan mocha I ordered along with the hibiscus tea were delicious and complimented the delightful cronuts as well. Seemed like a minimalist option amongst some pretty creative flair choices. It was flakey on the outside, with an ooey-gooey inside, sort of like a croissant. Plate-licking good. Checked into the Springhill Suites and noticed that this place was very short walk away. I love doughnuts, but I wanted a more savory breakfast, so I got the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. I was hesitant to get it on the unglazed donut bun, but it was amazing. Kind of like a croissant. The sandwich was gone almost as soon as I started eating it. The donuts themselves 6/5 stars! So many awesome flavors to pick from and they're super delicious. I tried the sandbox which is a lot like cinnamon roll flavor. The donut is crisp on the outside and fluffy and soft in the inside. Just how you want it! They have a variety of fun flavors combinations so I can't wait to go back to try it. The employees were so nice and friendly. Unfortunately, we may have came on a bad day as the espresso machine and açaí bowls were out of commission. They have a ton of great-sounding donut flavors, and we decided to split the Raspberry Pistachio and get a couple of drinks. I tried a matcha latte, and my husband tried one of their specialty lattes. The donut was fantastic - light, flavorful, just enough icing and toppings. It was a great size to split if you're not too hungry, but I could have easily eaten it myself. The drinks, however, were just not great. My matcha latte was basically just milk. It was the lightest green matcha latte I've ever had. I took it with me to-go, but I ended up only drinking about half of it. My husband said his latte was also just okay - the flavors weren't mixed well, so the top half just tasted like espresso, and the bottom half was super sweet. Parlor Doughnuts is a great option to indulge in a doughnut (we enjoyed the seasonal blueberry, yum) or a breakfast with a bit more substance (acai bowls or avocado toast.) Coffee was decent, but we didn't try their hands at any espresso. The floors were a bit slippery, were they just not cleaned? I had to be careful walking to our table so my coffee didn't slip. Awesome place to stop in to curb a pastry/dessert craving. Cute interior that has indoor seating (if I lived nearby I could definitely see myself meeting friends here to share several sweets or just on my own after a run and justifying a multi-donut breakfast). I got the strawberry shortcake, cookies & cream, and maple bacon donut. The most important thing to keep in mind when coming here for the first time is to not expect a traditional donut consistency. These are not the traditionally yeasty or cakey donut variety; they're cronuts (croissant donut hybrids), or at least, that was my perception of them. This isn't a bad thing, as all were very tasty! However, they all have the same base donut which is flakier and crispier on the outside and more similar to a croissant's interior as well. The toppings all tasted fresh and were very good. My favorite was the maple bacon and the strawberry shortcake. The strawberries and bacon on both were more of a garnish rather than a topping though. Would have loved to have had just a few more sprinkled in either on top or within the dough. I think if you're not a traditional donut person (I happen to prefer traditional yeast, glazed donuts or a plain ol' cake donut) then you'll be pleasantly surprised by these. And if you ARE a traditional donut person, I think you'd still really like these, but just have the expectation that no traditional donuts are at this type of donut shop. To me they were more like a craft cronut. They did have a few vegan donuts, however, that I did not try. From a glance, they looked a little more like a regular donut. Donuts are a passion of mine...aren't they a passion for most people?!? I've tried all sorts, brands, mom and pop shops, prepackaged brands, chains, and all the other donut options out there. I am overjoyed to say I have finally found the best donuts of all time! Parlor donuts happened to be just outside our hotel and since I can't pass a donut shop without checking it out we of course indulged. The minute we walked in the aroma of deliciousness took over all our other senses. The smell itself brought forth utmost confidence that Parlor Donuts were going to be good. Sadly we got there late morning so the selection wasn't as grand as it normally would be; obviously people know to come early and stock up because these babies are amazing. We wanted to get a dozen but our incredibly disciplined selves managed to leave with just 3..:we got a sandy beach (much like a cinnamon roll), a mixed berry (think berry danish), and a pecan (similar to a pecan sticky bun). The minute we got in the car we bit into one and oh my gosh was it a delicacy! It was devoured immediately and the other two didn't last long either. There aren't words to describe how good these are, you just have to try them. The inside of Parlor Donuts is cute, clean, and has classy open seating. They have apparel, patriotic decor, and staff that is welcoming and ready to dish out the sweets! Prices aren't cheap, but it's totally worth it, these aren't average donuts. I'm not sure I'll be able to enjoy regular donuts again without thinking of Parlor donuts...much like a sad love story where I am far away from what I really want. Maybe they will open one in AZ . Wow, this is one of those extremely special doughnut shops. You have to make a stop here. These doughnuts are 100% croissant style doughnuts, so please come in with that expectation. As far as flavors are concerned, they absolutely nailed them all. Each doughnut has such a strong specific flavor, and the light airy croissant dough serves as the perfect base. The best of the bunch was the Coconut Cream filled, probably one of the single best doughnuts I have ever had. I do wish more of their doughnuts were filled. I also have to mention that the PRICES ARE INCREDIBLE. I got 6 doughnuts which made them 2.50 each. That is absolutely unbelievable considering the quality and size of these doughnuts. The staff was nice, I wouldn't say overly friendly, but nice. The shop itself was very clean. They serve doughnuts all day which is a huge plus, the selection is always on point. The location is dead in the city so parking isn't great, but there is a SIDE PARKING lot which helps out some. There is also plenty of seating inside, or on the patio. It is the toppings that make the difference with each doughnut. You can make a party of it by getting multiple flavors in the same family, ie chocolate, fruit, or caramel. I was so excited to try Parlor Doughnuts and from the moment you walk in, the place is filled with a warm sweet aura! I will say that the floor was quite sticky and the kitchen was closed even though we walked in around 7am. The person helping us was not very welcoming and I could tell she just wanted us out of there, even though we just walked in and did take out. Despite that, the donuts were AMAZING. We tried the coconut creme pie and the maple pecan. Coconut creme pie was not too sweet and it had a cooling sensation by how refreshing it was! The bread was a croissant like pastry that was buttery and flakey! It paired well with the creme inside. I am a huge fan of maple and pecan, so this donut was also very good. We stopped here in our way out of Nashville. This is a huge Parlor compared to the one in Miramar. There's lots of seating at tables and tabletops along the windows. Still lots of patriotic theming throughout. There was a line when we got there, but it moved quickly. The lady working was very kind and was doing a lot, fulfilling donut orders and drop coffees.
