Filled a 5x8 U-Haul with furniture and drove back from AZ with no problem. Then, loaded it down even further, added a passenger, and drove to Portland. Jason and the Aamco team quoted a very reasonable price and work seem to be top notch. During the work they pointed out a crack in Air intake valve. It was not a required work now but I chose to take care of it. Aamco also pointed out some minor leak/concerns with one of the tire axels. After a lot of Yelp research, I found Escondido Auto Tech. I brought my vehicles for a smog and got great service each time. Found them easy to work with too. Next, I brought in my car for maintenance and a list of repairs and items to check on. Let me not bore with the mundane details, just know: -they took good care of the car, addressing every item on my list. -Frank, the service manager, took the time to discuss the list of repairs with me and explained what they would do-to make sure we were on the same page with everything. He listens! Michael provided a much more reasonable quote, but what amazed me was after I arrived, he opened the hood to show me what was happening. It turns out the expensive removal and replacement wasn't needed. Michael is an honest mechanic. Sometimes as a woman, you're never 100% sure the auto shop is being fair when it comes to pricey repairs, especially when you're driving a reliable car. I would give them 10-stars if possible!
