    The Sandwich Menu

Super Solid Sandwich Shop that also happens to sell a bunch of other stuff with one of the smallest parking lots I have ever tried to park in. Did I also mention that the Sandwiches here are Freakin' Amazing? So yeah, all that other stuff just doesn't even matter!! Lol!!    Parsippany Deli has been Family owned and operated for over 50 years so you know these very friendly folks know a thing or two about making some incredibly delicious Sandwiches over here. Plus I also gotta add that their prices are also very wallet friendly and in today's topsy-turvy economic world that's a Big Deal!! Come And Get Your Munch On!!

    #5 Italian Sub

I was in the area and decided to stop in for a sub. My bf has been coming here for years and swears by this deli as one of the best around. This mom and pop deli is not much to look at from the outside. They have free parking out front with several spots they share with another business. Once inside you can see why they call this place The Parsippany Deli/ Emerald Gifts aka The Irish Deli. As soon as you walk in the front door, they have a glass counter that displays beautiful China from Ireland. They sell teas, marmalade, sausages, bacon, black and white pudding, Irish candies, also Brennan's bread. During the month of March they make and sell homemade Irish Soda Bread. As you make your way to the front counter you will meet owner Eddie, and Avril. They were both very friendly and told me about their business. Posted on the counter is their sandwich and salad menus. The Parsippany deli/Emerald gifts has been in business for 56 years, now I know why. Their prices are reasonable, and everything is homemade. They also do catering. They roast all their own meats like Roast Beef, Turkey Breast, and Baked Virginia Ham. I highly suggest getting a half of a sub. It's as big as most whole subs. This place doesn't skimp on their meats, just the opposite. When I got home and opened up my sub I was pleasantly surprised, and couldn't believe how much meat was on it. It was probably one of the best Italian subs I've ever had and I've been all over for subs. I ordered their Italian Sub - Ham, Salami, Capocollo they call it Hot Ham, and Cheese. I got mine with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, oil and vinegar. It was really delicious. I wound up eating a half of a half and saved the rest for later. My bf ordered their Roast Beef n American Cheese Sub. The Roast Beef was cooked perfectly rare and piled on the sandwich with lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar. He enjoyed it so much he ate the entire thing. I also ordered 2 of their homemade salads. Macaroni and Potato Salad. The macaroni was my favorite. It was rich and creamy. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed

With over 50 years in Parsippany, there is a reason Parsippany Deli is still on business after all these years. My go to spot when it comes to a good old Deli sandwhich. Countless delis in town have came and are long gone, but Ed and his crew continue to serve Parsippany and surroundings residents. As much as new locations need your support, don't forget those who have served Parsippany probably longer than most may even have lived in Parsippany. Located at 137 Parsippany Road, across from Green Hill Plaza, you can easily access it from Route 287, Route 202, and Route 46.

The best pizza. Just like Italy. Thin crust, just enough sauce, not dripping and fresh ingredients.

The restaurant is located in a small strip mall on Rt 46 East in Parsippany. I've heard the chicken cutlet sandwiches were very good here, but I was in the mood for meatballs. The meatball sandwich was unbelievable! Loaded with meatballs on toasted bread with a delicious sauce, I loved it! There were so many meatballs, I had to eat some before I could eat the sandwich. The guy working behind the counter was very friendly. There were quite a few tables and it clearly looked like a lot of "regulars" here. I'm really glad I finally stopped here. Decided to try this spot out for lunch when I was craving a sandwich. The setting is basic, actually totally different than what I expected. Lands somewhere between a sandwich spot and grandma's Italian eatery. I'm always excited, so maybe that was off-putting to the guy behind the middle of the room counter, but who cares- I ordered two of the most gigantic, delicious fresh tasting sandwiches- I've had in forever. Go get you one.

Lunch panic averted -- and what a find!…read more I didn't bring lunch to work and was deep in the "what am I going to eat?" struggle when The Great Wazu popped up in my search. I'll admit, seeing that it was primarily a sandwich shop made me hesitate since I need gluten-free options. But I was thrilled to see they offer gluten-free bread -- and even more relieved when I spoke to the incredibly kind server who walked me through their celiac protocol. As someone who worries about cross-contamination, that conversation alone put me at ease. I originally planned to grab something quick and rush back to work, but I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the place is. For a strip mall location in Parsippany, there's actually plenty of seating, and the atmosphere feels welcoming and comfortable. Bonus: tons of parking, which is always appreciated. The menu has so many tempting options -- sandwiches, wraps, salads, chips, sweet treats, and beverages. Once I saw they had gluten-free bread, I may have gotten a little carried away and ordered two sandwiches: the Walnut Cranberry Chicken Salad and the Italiano. No regrets! Both were generously portioned and packed with flavor. I was especially impressed that they use four slices of gluten-free bread per sandwich -- which is thoughtful since GF slices tend to be smaller. For the price, that extra effort really stood out. I also grabbed a side of coleslaw and their homemade potato salad -- both fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Friendly service, great gluten-free awareness, generous portions, and lots of variety -- I'm so glad I found this spot. I'll absolutely be back to work my way through more of the menu.

They use Boarshead meats so the turkey was actually very good. The cranberry sauce was cranberry sauce. Lettuce, tomato, check, check. The issue I had was the volume of mayo. I would estimate that there were two heaping tablespoons of mayo on the sandwich which is much too much. Upon first bite half of it ended up on my face instead of in my face. The multigrain bread was a bit of a miss as well. The slices were very thin and the texture is soft. The sandwich fell apart fairly easily which made it difficult to handle. I think a more substantial, thicker, firmer slice would be a better choice. I also ordered a side of coleslaw which really wasn't up to par. Again, very heavy on the mayo. More mayo than slaw. Even the flavor of the Dr. Pepper from the fountain was off. The service was very fast. With that said I was the only customer so it kinda had to be that way. There are plenty of booths for seating. Pretty basic decor. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing? I will probably give Wazu another chance to see if that is the case or not.
