Very Solid choice for lunch or dinner here at Vitale's Delicatessen where You'll find some seriously delicious food at really reasonable prices. HUGE sub sandwiches, wraps, salads, homemade square pizza pies and outstanding Italian Inspired comfort dishes are just a few things that They specialize in here and I like the fact that I can get in and out with My order in a flash.   They also offer delivery service too only I've never had the need to use it but hey nowadays it's a good thing to know. Dine in or take out, call ahead or walk in I've never had any issues at all here.   Just a heads-up: the location is easy to pass by in a small strip mall off of Route 46 east but once You stop in You'll definitely remember where this place is. Come And Get Your Munch On!!

We shared this huge 10" sandwich!

Thought we'd try Vitale's again... still the best roast beef sandwich around! And the price is amazing!!! It's a 10" sandwich! Meat piled high! Definitely shareable!

The dinner's on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night are amazing!! And the antipasto and dessert are to die for!!

Vitale's is no doubt a great spot when looking for a great lunch or dinner in the Parsipany area. Vitale's is located in the Parsipany Hills Shopping Plaza on Route 46 between Vail and Baldwin Road and parking is never an issue. My favorites are the chicken cutlet sandwiches which are always fresh and tasty. While chicken cutlets are my gonto, they have a great menu variety and you really can't go wrong no matter what you pick. A few of my favorite lunches include: Chicken cutlet with Prosciutto, Fresh Mozzarella and Sun Dried Tomatoes Chicken cutlet with Prosciutto, Roasted Peppers and Fresh Mozzarella Roast Beef, Turkey, and Swiss Sloppy Joes Triple Decker with Russian and Slaw Panini Sandwhich on Focachia bread withQ. Turkey Breast, Swiss Cheese, Cole Slaw, Russian Dressing. Roast beef and Swiss sub with lettuce, tomato and onion. And will wrap it up with Cheesesteak! Aside from a great lunch menu, they also serve great dinner meals and have a dinning area to enjoy your meal with your favorite bottle of wine to pair with your meal. B.Y.O.B. IS always a bonus when dinning out.

My salad was massive and delicious. I love homemade dressing and they had it. The employees were courteous and on top of it.

A little bit of an odd choice for an Italian Deli, but I went with a Philly Cheesesteak for lunch today. Added a small bag of chips and a Snapple and just enjoyed my day off lunch. After ordering I realized I had been here once a really, really long time ago and I remember having a great sub. My cheesesteak with onions and mushrooms was very good...I mean, I'd still rather go to Philly for the ambiance and authentic feel/flavor, but this was a good sammich...as good a cheesesteak as I've had up in this area. The pasta salad was pretty good with the cucumber pieces, but I added a little salt. Portion size was more than enough...didn't need the chips. I have no idea why this isn't a regular place for Wifey and I, but it's going on the 'must return' list.

How much meat we actually got.

Very disappointed. my coworker and I got two whole sandwiches from here based on the yelp reviews and pics of other peoples sandwiches. they all showed a lot of meat on them. but when we received ours, it almost looked like they forgot to put the meat on at all. there's more mozarelly cheese than there is meat, they looked nothing like other reviewers. I know proscu is more expensive than Turkey, but when you pay over $45 for two sandwiches, you expect much more meat than what we got. You can see below the screenshot of what we thought we would get, followed by what we actually got. Definitely will not be back for that price.

My coworkers always rave about this deli and today was the day I finally got a chance to see what it was about. I walk in during lunch time to see a good amount of tables occupied. What else I saw was the huge plates of food the customers were eating out of. Without even trying it for myself, I knew it was going to be good. My coworker wanted to get the Italian sub and mentioned that she wanted to share it. Share??? I didnt want to share a sub.. I wanted one of my own for crying out loud. I was going to see why once it was ready. We ordered a small and really, it was enough for both of us. The amount of meat that was in the sub was ridiculous (in a completely generous way). The deli meats were tasty and fresh. I was utterly satisfied. I noticed they have new specials here daily! You can sign up on an emailing list to have the specials sent directly to you. Tips: - There is a minimum credit card charge of $10 - Our Italian sub was just $8.40

Impressive Italian sub! This is how it should be made. Comes with a side on delicious pasta salad. Service is fast and friendly. How did I not know about this hidden gem?

Heading to a wedding in jersey and was looking for a place to grab lunch on the way, so gave this spot a try based on Yelp reviews. -- We were not disappointed. Located in the corner of a strip mall - ambiance is not its strong suit, but if you want a hearty deli sandwich- this IS your spot. Portions are huge! The Quality of their ingredients was great. Homemade bread and countless cold cut options. My wife had a boiled ham, salami, and provolone hoagie while I had a mozzarella, prosciutto and roasted red pepper panini on focaccia bread(with balsamic drizzle)....each sandwich came with a side of pasta salad. Both were tasty and HUGE. It seams like the chicken cutlet sandwich was their specialty, but we did not try it....anyway, if you are hungry and in the mood for a good hoagie, this is the spot for you!

Cocktails were pretty good too - some a little on the sweet side but, again, somethin' for everyone theme throughout. Tonight we enjoyed the risotto as an appetizer and the beet salad - both delicious. Some others in our party had the mushroom soup - tasty and a huge portion. For entrees, my wife asked them to make an off-menu gnocchi bolognese and they obliged - and she was quite pleased with it. I had the gnocchi special with chunks of short rib - impossible to ever go wrong with anything with short rib! Very tasty! Our friends had a variety of pasta and veal dishes - the veal chop special was Wow! All enjoyed their choices. We skipped on dessert because everyone usually climbs into my SUV "bus" for ice cream somewhere nearby. The adventure continues! This is a rough business. It's so hard for a single restaurant to stay in business for this long but Eccola has stayed relevant in an uber-competitive North Jersey market. Eccola means "Here She Is!". Apparently, here she remains! Salute!!

However, we did have to wait a solid half hour past our reservation time with no apology. Our waiter was unfriendly, if not rude. I don't think he said more than 10 words the entire night and didn't seem particularly thrilled to be there. But otherwise, attentive. Food was solid. Grilled calamari came out lukewarm at best but was tasty. Mussels good but nothing special. Great complimentary bread. We all really enjoyed our entrees - salmon, orecchiette, and clams over linguine. Chocolate mouse cake was good but the biscotti pretty standard. Place was busy with a nice vibe. However the restaurant could use an update. Light fixtures, booths and some other design elements scream 1992.

The Greek salad which i was excited to try was plated nicely in a tower shape, tomato's , cucumbers and feta was crumbled on top. It has plenty of calamata olives, which i thought was generous . I was in the mood for Italian food, so we decided to give this place a shot. I called ahead to check availability, and I'm glad I did! We didn't have a reservation, but thankfully the manager let us know that they'd have a table ready for us around 7:20pm (it was roughly 7pm when I called). My husband and I were just down the street, so we decided to go ahead and make our way there. Once we got seated, we were quickly greeted by our server, Mike. He was very attentive and friendly! We later learned that it was his second day on the job, which we found shocking as he did such a great job! As for the food... I'll be honest, I was a bit disappointed. I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana (my favorite Italian dish) and my husband ordered the Risotto Primavera. The Eggplant Parmigiana was not crispy at all, which was super disappointing! It had a great flavor, but I prefer a crispy texture so this didn't really hit the spot for me. It came with linguini noodles with tomato sauce, which was very bland. Whatever sauce they used did not have a great taste to it. As for the Risotto Primavera...it had a RICH flavor to it. My husband said "it's good, but not good enough to order again". I, on the other hand, didn't like it as I thought it was just too rich in taste. The food wasn't the best, but I'm giving them 4 stars because the overall service was fantastic! Everyone was so attentive, helpful and friendly, from the host to our server to the manager. It's rare these days to find a team where everyone is pitching in and happily doing so!
