One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in a while. The fries and drank were very good as well. My only knock on this place is the size. Felt way too small for what it is going for. It may be difficult to dine in if you can't get seating. The food was also a bit pricy. My only complaints about this place. Finally I chose the partea meal which came with a plushie. I didn't know what plushie I would get and didn't have a choice. I wouldn't have chosen this plushie had I known what I would've gotten. In fact, I might've not even gotten the meal. Judging strictly from the food experience - Partea is a definite try for those who might have gone a little cynical on popcorn chicken and other fried treats - they hit notes we thought none could with succulent juices wrapped in spicy crust. The staff working here are chill and a pleasant interaction, which just leaves the claw machines and other "games" - they're all thinly veiled gambling experiences and maybe fun for the kids but not my taste at all. I usually walk around Union Square and was really surprised when I saw this store, though it's still in it's soft opening, there's a lot to unpack. Once you enter, there's a counter where you can order food from but also kiosks in case it's easier for you. The hallway to the back is lined with gacha machines which costs ~5 tokens each but they're so worth it and I might've gone a little wild with it as you can see in the photos. The entire back of the store is filled with claw machines and I loved every bit. I hated having to go to Round 1 for cute claw machine like stores and I adore they opened one in Union Square. The employees are super nice and they're willing to accommodate and move plushies in the machine for you to grab them if they see you having trouble. While I haven't tried their food, their drinks are top notch. My friend and I got the Strawberry Green Tea and the Strawberry Green Tea Slush and it was so so good, and service was quick. There isn't much seating but I don't see why you need seating when you're gonna be looking at all the games. I may be a little addicted because the items are frfr winnable. I absolutely love this concept! I hope Partea continues to expand in Manhattan. There is limited seating (just counter seating in the front) so plan on taking your food to go or hopefully you can grab a seat. We ordered Partea Meals. They screwed up both of our chicken sandwiches and they had to be remade. They made my sandwich spicy when I wanted original and they made my boyfriends sandwich original with mayo when he wanted spicy with no mayo. The drinks were made correctly and were very good (Passionfruit Sparkling Yakult Tea). We received little Kirby toys with our meal. Each meal costs $19.95 without additional add-ons. The counters were not very clean and could use a wipe down between customers but staff was not doing this. Tokens are $1 a token and you get them at the front of the store. The machines are cool looking and light up, with plenty of toys to choose from. The attendant gives you tips on how to win. We wound up winning from two machines and only had to spent $30 on tokens to do it ;) Overall, this place is fun but expensive. I would go back, if not for the food but for a Bubble Tea and to play some games. A bigger location would be ideal one day. read more

I really enjoyed my late night experience here! Even walking in, it gives such Japan vibes haha. All the machines are brightly light and have cute figurines or prizes in side. Walking around is super fun and watching people play the claw machines and gumball machines. You can use cash or card to get 5 or 10 tokens to play! The gachapon and vending machines are 3-5 tokens per play with guaranteed randomized prizes. The claw machine is 2-3 coins per play. Partea in Flushing was the first claw machine place that I've been to that I didn't have to waste over $300 bucks to get the prize that I wanted. I like the fact that every time I go to Partea I win something to bring back. I would get a prize if only spent $10. Some machines require two to three tries and some only once depending how good you are with the machine and the position of the prize. This place is even cooler than the one in Flushing since it opened not long ago. Nice lighting and clean. I saw other customers playing and won some prizes I would definitely come back to this location. I see people also order food at both locations but for me I only go for the claw machines. Went for a fun time at Partea in Union Square. Gachapon machines cost 5 coins which is equivalent to $5, while most small claw machines were 2 coins or $2, and middle size ones, were 5 coins or $5. I recently came across a Tik Tok video that mentioned this place had Labubus which automatically intrigued me. I had to come check it out for myself, come to find out they have Sonny Angels as well! I have been looking for hippers forever and was able to get two. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They helped me readjust the prizes as well as encourage me to continue trying. Partea starts off with an interesting premise combining the Japanese style Gacha games through mystery boxes, loot crates, and claw machines with an boba shop at the front with classic snacks. While I didn't try the food here so the review may not be comprehensive, I felt that the games were set up in a way that it was too expensive for it to be a pleasant experience combined with the low odds. The small claw machines cost $2 a play, the large ones more, the loot crates at $5 each, and the mystery boxes at $10-$20. However, since the claw machines are not loaded with stuff animals and the claw is based on a randomizer, it is essentially impossible to win except if you get a lucky seed, which seems to be set at a bit too low of an odds. Given that the plush available are not that expensive except the giant ones, it would be more fun if the win rate was higher or at the very least the cost to play was lower. I went to a similar place in Vegas that was much more enjoyable as it seemed that everyone was able to walk out with a big bag of plush for a fraction of the price. read more

This place was so much fun! I went with my daughter, who loves claw machines. They have small, medium, and large claw machines. Some machines are tough to win but the staff were able to help us out and then my daughter was on a roll winning a few. They also have mystery machines that you can win a blind prize. Me and my friends wandered into this quaint facility today. At first look, it was very appealing and had cool decor with inviting prizes. I decided to buy 20 tokens, and I won nothing. On multiple occassions the claw had the prize in its grasps mid air and then just dropped. We actually did the math, and the odds of winning an even 2 token prize were 1/126, and keep in mind, 2 tokens is 2 dollars. While the machines were very nice quality, it kept building us up for nothing. In all, me and my friends spent over 100 dollars, and keep in mind, we are 13. The personnell operating this establishment were downright rude and no at all involved. They were on their phones most of the time, and in the very few times they did respond to our questions about the various prizes, they were very rude and sarcastic, despite us being very evolved and mature younglings. Overall, when you compare the price and very low odds due to. definitely slippery and rigged machines, I would steer clear of this place. Would not reccomend besides the ambiance. read more

My friends and I stopped here on a whim. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I can't really speak to how good the food was. It was very pretty and clean inside. The good things to say end there. Most of the gatchapon machines were sold out, which is a shame given that that's the only way to guarantee a prize. We spent $40 and came out with no prize whatsoever despite getting a good solid grip on the prize every time. Other places like this that I've been to will at least give you a small prize if you win nothing after spending that much. Plus the claw machines were very minimally stocked which means the claw has a harder time picking up any 1 individual prize and prevents you from being able to knock any prize into the hole. I really enjoy this place a lot. The first time I ever came here was on July 3rd, during its "soft opening" phase. I never heard of this place until my date suggested that we go here because she saw it on IG. She knows I'm really into arcade games and claw machines, so she immediately thought of me. When we got there, we were immediately drawn to the bright lights and variety of claw machines, along with the delicious looking food and drink menu. I definitely lived up to my reputation that time of always winning something whenever I play these kind of games. I won her a pink Stitch that's holding a bubble tea along with a Rilakkuma in a sandwich plushies. I have been back there a few other times by myself. Each time I have always won something. Recently, there has been a really helpful guy in the back (sorry I forget his name) who really makes sure that everyone has a good time. The few times I have been back, he has been very helpful and always gives me great advice on how to win the games. He even repositions the plushies so it's hopefully easier for me to win! Yesterday when I went, I didn't even notice the sign that it's get 5 free tokens when you spend $50 and 10 free tokens when you spend $100. I spent $50 and he automatically came over with 5 free tokens for me. It's really great that he genuinely cares and ensures that everyone has a good time and wins at least something when they play. I think the company should reward him in some way for trying to keep the customers as happy as possible! It really is frustrating to spend a certain amount of money on claw machines and walk away with nothing in the end, especially when there were a lot of close calls. I have also tried some of the food on the menu as well. I really enjoyed the spicy and honey butter flavored wings along with the spicy popcorn chicken. Walked but this location and decided to stop inside with my girlfriend and we had a blast. Originally we just wanted to get a quick drink but the neon lights pulled us in and as we saw all the different claw machines we decided to stay a little longer. Such a fun experience! I was a little skeptical when I first visited PARTEA (I can't begin to explain how much money I've lost on claw machines), but I was absolutely blown away. This definitely reminds me of some of the claw machine shops I used to go to in night markets in Taiwan - the vibes here are amazing! The food isn't exactly inexpensive, but I feel like that's fairly standard for New York (lol). You can order a lot of "snack" style foods like bubble tea and fried chicken, and what we tried was very well-made! I'm a fiend for popcorn chicken and have to get it wherever I go, and they gave my boyfriend and I a pretty decent portion for the price (~$10). The seasoning was also delicious - I'd definitely get this again the next time I'm back. That said, the real gems are the employees who work here. They're super nice and willing to help out / give tips and tricks. One of them even moved the plushie a bit closer to the drop section, and gave us pointers on how to win it (we managed to snag it on our next turn)! PARTEA is the ultimate date spot, or even just a place to check out if you have a bit of free time. Heads up, though - it's already gotten quite popular and can be fairly crowded on weekends, so I'd recommend going on "off hours" or during weekdays, if possible. read more

I've been going to the Flushing location for years now and I'm super glad they opened up a location in Manhattan. My go to order is the Combo #3, which is the chicken sandwich, cajun fries, w/ a milk black tea, all for under $20... you can't really beat that in the city. There's also claw machines and games in the back if you're looking for things to do. It's pretty cool and kinda reminds me of the movie Tron. In the back of the place is where the fun is located. There are claw machines where you can "potentially" win cute plushies. If the staffs notice that you play multiple times and couldn't win, they will be kind enough to position the plush in a position where it is doable on your next try. We tried the whipped sesame and strawberry matcha drinks and both were delicious. The staff are also very sweet and attentive. They have more claw machines than their Flushing location and a large selection of capsule machines. The claw machines have solid grips so it is not hard to win a few plushies. And if you've given one a few tries, a staff member will come over to help adjust it so it's easier for you to grab one. Overall a super fun place and will definitely be coming back again! read more
