I came here for dessert one time and it's a pretty solid spot for rolled ice cream! The interior of the shop is smaller and casual, and service was pretty quick. I got their strawberry rolled ice cream with a couple toppings (they have unlimited toppings), and it was pretty solid. Nothing crazy, but definitely hits the sweet tooth craving.
Sooooo good! They have a variety of toppings, mix-ins, and flavors. Service is quick and to the point and they are so skilled at creating explosions of flavors. Although large, it's not really a spot you'd want to sit and enjoy your ice cream but you can.
Location: it is located in Grand St, you can easily find the location because it's at the corner. Few seatings inside. Huge menu on the wall. Service: I just ordered and go, not much interaction. Food: I almost taste all the flavors but my favorites are: THAI MILK TEA: this one is good because you can definitely taste the Thai tea. BROWN SUGAR MILK TEA: It is good because not your usual sugar! I felt like it is black milk tea drizzled with brown sugar. BUBBLE MILK BLACK TEA: very classic flavor, and it's my favorite because it is simple. The BOBA was soft and chewy inside! Price rating: 7 out of 10. Regular price for a boba. Around $7 for one Well all recommended! Will try other bubble tea flavors when I come back!
There are so many options to make the best milk based rolled ice cream but I may have just been a bit to basic with my choice. I will say you may want to look up the options before going inside because once it gets busy, the place is packed.

Checked out this ice cream spot since it's been a long time since I had rolled ice cream. The Thai flavor surprisingly tasted so so good and was extremely creamy and sweet. The matcha was good as well but the Thai flavor stood out to me the most. You can see the employees make the ice cream in front of you and can get unlimited toppings which is sweet. Would love to have seen more enthusiasm from the staff but they were extremely nice.
Rolled ice cream stores seemed to be everywhere before the pandemic but are now harder to find. Minus Celsius does the job - good selection of flavors and toppings. Had the Crazy Cookie and the Caramel Crunch - both were good. Friendly service and seating available.

The store wasnt super clean but i didn't expect it to be because of the part of town its located in. I still definitely enjoyed it. They had wall outlets too which is good. No restrooms.
Great spot for rolled ice cream. I got the Bussin Monkey rolled ice cream (chocolate with Nutella and banana mixed in) with an egg waffle. The egg waffle was delicious with almost a Mochi-like consistency. The rolled ice cream was tasty as well. I could see that they made it from what looked like chocolate milk and then chopped in some bananas and Nutella as the milk froze into the ice cream form. A nice perk of this place is that you can add unlimited toppings with no additional charge. I got some fruit (mango, strawberries, and blueberries), which tasted pretty fresh. The Pocky sticks and mochi bits were nice additions too. $14 is decent for this considering it is large enough for two people to enjoy. The shop itself is a bit small with a few spots to sit. The staff were not particularly friendly, though the service speed is decent. Overall, I would recommend Minus Celsius to you if you are looking for tasty rolled ice cream in the Chinatown area.
Great ice cream, bad service and bad serving. I was served my ice cream absolutely dripping over and all toppings just falling. There needs to be more space in the cup, aka using a larger cup or space out toppings accordingly.

The space itself is pretty small, as with a lot of establishments in the area, but there are a couple seats available if you're looking to eat your ice cream indoors.

if you're a fan of rolled ice cream and creative flavors, look no further than minus Celsius ice cream! A couple of friends and I were strolling down the streets of busy Chinatown and the soho area where we came across this spot since we were looking for a sweet treat. Not only does this place have rolled ice cream, they sell bubble tea and other sweet treats like the waffle that is depicted. They initially rolled the ice cream in front of you while simultaneously cooking the waffle- and even though the waffle took longer, they made sure to put the waffle in with the cold ice cream at the same time so you get to enjoy both at the same time. My only wish is that this place was bigger and had more seats. It was the type of place that only had a wide desk that overlooked the outside and not enough seats for all of us to sit so we kind of just crowded around the menu and the display stand. read more

I've been here several times in the past, but this visit was a bit lackluster. They made my order very quickly and the Thai tea ice cream tasted good. However, the ice cream rolls were not made very well. They were falling apart and cracked. The majority of the ice cream looked like frozen wood chips and was in broken up small pieces in the cup. read more

We ordered this spot for delivery as an add on to an Uber eats order and I was pleasantly surprised. We got the make your own item and it came with 3 mix-ins and 3 toppings which for $9.50 is honestly a steal as cold stone and other places would run you more money. My favorite mix-in was the mochi and they have a variety of options but the mochi was perfectly chewy and delicious. I also liked the poppy sticks and fresh strawberries. The ice cream was amazing. My pictures don't do it justice as it was a little melted because we saved it for after dinner. Overall, I will definitely visit this stop or order delivery again when I'm in NYC. read more
Food was amazing I mean look at this beaut! Caramel on top of Thai Tea flavored rolled ice cream with a slew of other unlimited toppings. Perfectly aesthetic and appetizing. The employees were top tier in service and indulged us with diabetes level caramel syrup (as asked by us). Ambience delivered cute wall art and chill solo or duo seating. Note: Large groups might struggle to find seating but there are some seats and benches across the street. read more

I came here after dinner as I was craving something sweet. I was debating between a rolled ice cream or a drink. I settled on a drink because the indoor seating was starting to get filled up. I got the brown sugar milk tea in large. The boba was delicious and sweet but, the milk tea itself was very weak and kinda tasteless. I might come back to try their rolled ice cream for $8 because you can get unlimited toppings. read more

I ordered the Thai me and matcha madness, which comes in five rolls of ice cream. Came out to be around $20 which is more pricer than it once was. For matcha madness, the Oreos mixed with the matcha adds a good touch - flavor was great and is prepared within minutes. You can also add unlimited toppings which is very nice, I always like adding condensed milk and fruits with it. read more

What do you do when you've just walked across the amazing Manhattan Bridge in eighty degree weather? Well, I'll tell you what you do, you get ice cream but not just any ice cream. You make a trip over to Minus Celsius and enjoy. Minus Celsius is a small shop with a great view of the block. You can't go wrong with their variety of flavors and toppings. On this trip, I enjoyed the cookies and cream combination and I topped mine off with bananas and strawberries. Honestly, it was absolutely heavenly. read more
This was my first time trying rolled ice cream and I was pleasantly surprised. Minis Celsius is a neat small shop with very short and efficient lines. The staff are very nice, although they seem a little shy/reserved. They offer unlimited toppings with your ice cream too. We got the strawberry rolled ice cream with all the fruits as toppings. I'm a big fan of hard serve ice cream and this exceeded my expectations. The ice cream was very rich and creamy and the strawberries used were nice and fresh. The fruits on top were also fresh and all sweet. Would love to come back here again to get some ice cream! read more

5 stars automatically because they give you unlimited toppings for free. No one does that. Especially in the city. You walk into all of these gimmicky new ice cream/fro yo shops and its priced per ounce or an extra 25-50 cents per topping. Go hog wild, kids, because they are free of charge. This was my first time having rolled ice cream so I have nothing to really compare to it than other ice creams. But, I really enjoyed it. Watching the entire process in itself is mesmerizing. They made me a puppy dog shape out of chocolate sauce. I ordered the Nut cracker. Vanilla ice cream with nutella and graham crackers chopped into it. My friend ordered the vanilla cookie creation with just an oreo mashed up. Flavor - really good. This tastes like real ice cream. Texture - yeah, wait a minute or two before diving in because it did just come off an insanely frozen griddle and is a little stiff at first. Those toppings! I didn't go too crazy. Mostly pocky sticks and chocolate chips. But I like that I can throw anything I want on it from fresh fruits to cereal to m&ms to a melty marshmallow that's torched in front of you. This place does it right, is incredibly nice and they have adorable penguins on their walls. read more

I'm a fan of eating ice cream when it's cold outside because I feel like you can get the true flavor without it melting everywhere. So knowing that I was going to eat ice cream that was minus ten degrees Celsius was super exciting. For $7 you get ice cream with unlimited toppings. I ordered the thai tea ice cream with condensed milk and mochi. The ice cream was pretty good but you definitely are paying for presentation. If I'm down by the area, I might eat here again. The place is empty. An employee was eating his meal by the window. Trash was scattered on the tables and floor. Starkness appeared to be the theme. A worker told us we can have up to 3 toppings for the matcha choice on their board. Hmm... But why are there signs indicating otherwise, words screaming UNLIMITED TOPPINGS! Not even kidding, their paper printed sign on the glass near the register and huge chalkboard on the wall have the words 'unlimited toppings' in caps. Why were we limited to just three?? The employee didn't bother to correct herself despite her hearing us lamenting over this occurrence. I suppose this is how they were taught to operate aka dispense poor information, proceed to halfheartedly execute the order, and pray for closing time. Starting off with the wrong foot, one can only hope it won't go further down. Well, one is wrong. It can get worse, it did, and it nearly broke that dang foot. The ice cream was barely rolled properly, probably due to the inexperienced staff and poor quality of ingredients. The ice cream was super dry, crumbly, and didn't taste good at all. The "rolls" disintegrated immediately after digging the spoon in; your dessert basically tumbles over in the bowl and spoon before you even take a bite. Lord have mercy, this place needs some serious help in management, hygiene, and general customer service skills. read more
