Also, he reminded me that after putting in the drywall in the garage, that the City Building and Planning department first needs to do a Rough Inspection, before they can proceed with putting fire tape on fire rated drywall seams. That saved be some time by ordering the inspection early on, because the City inspectors are backed up big time. Two great suggestions! Since I had my paint already, I was given a good discount. Every where else was quoting astronomical prices but this place was the most reasonable. Day of service, Benito came prepared with all the equipment and prepped the site optimally for easy clean up. They even wore shoe covers to protect our flooring. Victor was very professional and meticulous. He asked if I had any ceiling paint leftover. I told him I didn't, but I did have a picture of the name and bar code of the paint. Victor says, perfect, I'll pick up a gallon. He started the repair by laying out canvas drop cloths and taping plastic sheets from the ceiling to the floor. Upon completion of day 1, Victor stated that he would return in 2 days to allow the mud to dry. Victor returned 2 days later with Alex and started the day the same as day 1 (drop cloths and plastic sheets). Victor was able to match the ceiling's texture and the paint was a perfect match.
