First, they didn't show up to our scheduled appointment on Nov 29, at 8AM even after I received 2 confirmation emails, and text reminders about the appointment (attached below are photos of the confirmations). I specifically chose this company over Attic Bros because I was told that they work on the weekends and complete jobs on weekends. In hindsight, I wish I would have just gone with Attic Bros from the start. Two guys came at 2:30pm instead on Saturday after I had called them at 10:30am about how no one showed up. The 2 guys only put up 2 films of radiant barrier and left at 5pm. On Sunday morning, the remaining workers showed up and "finished" at 2:30pm, however they didn't rodent proof my crawl space until I had pointed out the holes to them. They did it after I had pointed out the holes. Additionally, they never rodent proofed my the attic side vents. They rodent proofed the roof, sure, but I would have thought the side vents would be included (they didn't have a ladder to reach it so they didn't do it). I had to hire a third party to fix the holes/gaps on the side vents instead because Adam and his company didn't want to come back to fix it. I was told they'd call me back when they can schedule me in, but after a week I gave up and just hired another company. Also, they damaged one of my kitchen lights when they were doing work in the attic. Adam also said he would send someone to fix it and that it's "easy" but nothing ever came of it. The 3 stars I gave them is because the insulation looks decent and that they still came on Sunday to follow through on the project, but if they could lie to me about "fixing the side vents from the inside" who knows what else they may have lied about. I am concerned about this company's integrity. Also- Adam is rude and defensive on the phone, and doesn't really let his customers speak.

A Good Overall Experience with Some Ups and Downs…read more We had been dealing with rodents in our attic for several months, so we decided to have the attic professionally cleaned. Our experience with Attic Pro was overall good, although the quality of service varied somewhat depending on the individual team member. Fortunately, we started the project with Assad, who did a very thorough inspection of our attic. He recommended not only cleaning it but also replacing the insulation, since it was very old, dirty, and heavily contaminated with rodent droppings. The initial quote was on the higher side, but Assad was able to offer us a discount. The project was completed in two phases. During the first phase, Osman's team removed the old insulation, set up traps, and did an excellent job sealing openings into the attic. They really went above and beyond, including closing several openings that we specifically pointed out and replacing some of the old mesh. Unfortunately, one of the rodents ended up getting trapped inside a wall and died, leaving us with an unpleasant smell behind a kitchen cabinet. I contacted Attic Pro several times about the issue, and each time they sent someone out to inspect the attic and help us address the problem. Their call center staff were also consistently courteous and responsive. In total, five rodents were caught. Whenever someone from the team came out, they would also inspect the attic and seal any additional openings they found with mesh. While a few of the individuals who came later were not as professional as Osman's team, they did complete the work properly and were patient throughout the process. They also waited more than a month before starting the second phase, giving us time to make sure there were no more signs or noises of rodents in the attic. Once we were satisfied, the new insulation was installed quickly, and Osman's team--Anthony and Roni--did a very good job. It wasn't very even and being a bit of a handy man I added fiberglass batts over top. That made our house more comfortable. But since then we've had a couple of remodels, new roof, etc. In recent summers we noticed that the skylights in our house were much hotter than we remembered them being so one day I climbed up in the attic and saw that some areas had no insulation while others had far more than was needed. We decided we needed to have the insulation "fixed" - whatever was needed. A few weeks ago I called OJ Insulation in Morgan Hill. One of their estimators replied with a time to come by and we soon had an estimate. He agreed that we had plenty of insulation and it just needed to be "touched up"- which meant the guys would rearrange existing fiberglass to fill holes, put more strapping to hold batts thad shifted (like the skylight tunnels), etc. It wasn't practical to walk the entire attic to see exactly what was needed, so he gave me an estimate based on the living space - about $1/sq. ft. We got a time slot a few days later and on the morning a two man team showed up a few minutes early. They confirmed what I had asked to be done and they got to work. They took before and after photos which is helpful. They cleaned up and left the area spotless. It's been a couple of weeks since and we've had some hot days and I'm happy to report that there are NO hot spots in my house any more. Good job guys! Remember the estimate based on square footage? The estimator thought it would take the team 3-4 hours of work and I signed a contract of that amount of work. However, the guys were able to finish in about half that amount of time. I mentioned this to the estimator via email afterwards. He was surprised but gave me a discount on the price. I was pleased.
