First off, the lack of professionalism by this lady is extreme. My husband and I. Pretty much my whole family was monitoring the weather for an event I had planned for my sons birthday. The policy stated no refunds if paid in full. Got it. And goes on to say that in the event of hazardous weather conditions the even would be cancelled. Money refunded (deposit is that is ) or credit. Never did I get a call responding to my messages about the upcoming weather conditions. I even let the lady know I would leave it her decision The NIGHT before I get a message stating that the weather will be fine and the equipment would be delivered at the scheduled time before 12 noon.... Paid the remaining balance and planned to host a family event. At approximately 10:59am the next day I get a message from her number which now is an automated service , stating to shut down equipment due to DANGEROUS weather conditions. I didn't even have the equipment yet and when I called two different numbers no one answered !! I proceeded to text the number advising that I don't want the equipment delivered if I can't even turn it on ! Immediately I get a text stating that order has been canceled then proceed to get an automated message stating that I have a credit for a future event!!! This lady took the remaining balance, considered paid in full knowing that the weather would be bad and is now trying to hold me to her bogus contact. Not only that ... she was soooooo busy she couldn't even give me a 5 min phone call to resolve the crisis I was having. Claimed to be so busy with another event , proceeding to send messages stating she'd call in an hour. Never did. Yet had all the time to send emails cutting and pasting sections of the contact to fit her narrative !! Even highlighting !! Never even called till the following Monday !! Then to call her back to realize she's not even going to give me the consideration or even the courtesy to pull over and take me off speaker or even roll up the car windows. Like I said to you before !! Shame on you ! The last thing hard working families is another scammer , scamming $500 + like this lady!! Cause apparently as long as she gets her money don't matter if a bunch of first graders get blown away with a jumpy house. Disgrace !! Be careful seems her family is in the business of selling anything to get a dime. Never have I ever wrote a review or went to BBB But this is by far too much !!

I then picked one up at the Crystal Lake store and found hydraulic fluid leaking in my SUV when I got home. I brought the log splitter back to the store to return or fix the problem. The service person repaired and tested the unit which seemed to be operating. When I again returned home and plugged it in, the hydraulic fluid began leaking all over the garage floor and would not operate! I'm glad I took out the insurance, because I was told that I must have done something to the log splitter! I didn't even put 1 log on it! It's time Ed's Rental spends a little of the proceeds to buy some new equipment to rent, instead of the JUNK that they are renting!!!

When I called, we talked about the date and inspirations that I had for my event. She asked questions about the location, and set up times to ensure that she will be able to meet the needs I needed for my event. On the day of the event, she showed up right at the time that we communicated, and her work exceeded my expectations. Folks were taking pictures with the balloons all night, and we even kept it up for others to enjoy for a week or so after. STAY FAR AWAY! I should have read the other reviews, clearly they are running a very shady…read morebusiness with intentions of stealing from their customers. I rented a steer skid and auger attachment for a day to be delivered on Sat. at 9:00am and to be picked up on Sun. at 9:00 am (very clear on my paperwork and from the calls with Don and the guy who dropped the rental off). I attached the section of the invoice that shows the pickup date to the review and just blocked out personal details. On Sunday they did not pick it up by 10am, so I called them and the phone just rang and rang with no answer and no answering machine. I tried to call over 12 times from 10-3:00 pm and all I got was a phone that rang and never answered. Finally, I called and left a message at their algonquin location since they at least had an answering machine. Then on Monday the manager Harley called me to see how long I wanted to keep the rental and I told him it was supposed to be picked up yesterday and I tried calling even though I never was told I had to and he wouldn't even let me speak before he started berating me. He said I never called, and they told me I had to call even though I did but no one answered. He just kept yelling at me and said he was just going to charge me for the extra day the $600 and said I was banned for life. He even changed my invoice to show the pickup day on the copy I signed from Sunday to Monday. When the guy picked up the unit he even said they were supposed to pick it up on Sunday. I will fight this with my credit card company but he essentially charged my debit card without permission and fraudulently. I would stay away and use anyone else unless you want to deal with this unreputable business. Please read the other negative reviews...I wish I would have.
