As I was writing my tip the staff member told me to tip more, and then told me again to tip more (she directly said "Tip $20, no tip $25. Tip $35 yes.") I ended up tipping $35 for a $60 massage. I felt pressured and hadn't had any experience with full body massages before so I thought maybe this was standard? However I talked with my friend who recommended the place right after and they were shocked and upset at what had happened. I've worked in the service industry for a long time and I understand how necessary tipping is with how high cost of living can be. However, in this instance I felt taken advantage of. I won't be coming back to this establishment and neither will my friend who has been recommending this place for years.

I've had probably 1,000 massages in my 43 years of life. But after seeing her twice now I can honestly say that Jenae (Jenay?) is the best masseuse I have ever had. Hands down. And I've had some really good massages. My regular guy is amazing. But she is life-changing!! I just wish I could afford to come here more regularly to see her. This last time I had a 90-minute massage with her and it was epic. Perfect combination of therapeutic/working out tightness and relaxation. Every single movement of hers is purposeful and exactly what I needed. In general, I actually prefer the amenities at Burke Williams (Pasadena) better--and it's not as expensive. I do not typically get massages, but I wanted to go and treat myself since I have been stressed lately and was on vacation. It's very serene inside and quiet and everybody is so nice and helpful. My massage was amazing and I felt so relaxed. After afterwards I came back to my room and napped for two hours. This is something that I never really gonna do so it was so worth it. Once my massage was over too they take you into this relaxation lounge and they gave me Me a cup of hibiscus tea and a macaron and there were snacks and more waters and all around. It's just a really great place to go and sit and relax and unwind.
