This place is as advertised. Literally a 5 star business. Super clean, nice and friendly husband and wife team and prompt service. When I got there for a smog check, they were super busy but the wife Armine asked me to sit down and wait. In less than 10 minutes they smogged four cars that were there before me and I was on my way in no time. I really appreciate their fast service and they seem to know what they're doing. Came here for an oil change and was able to come in and get it fixed right away. Took about 20 minutes for the entire process. They even refilled my washer fluid and tire pressures. Costs me about $125 for my car. Update a few days later. I finally drove my car after getting my oil change and my car tells me that my tire pressures were low. After checking my tires, I saw that one of my tire caps were broken so now I need to pay extra for replacements. They weren't broken before I got my oil change... read more

I think this is my 5th smog check here. I still love this place. I drive up from Monterey Park 'cuz this place is so wonderful. And no, I'm not affiliated in any way. This year, I came on a Friday around 2:00pm. I figured it wouldn't be busy. Wrong! There was a line of people - 'cuz the word is out. Still, it only took 15 minutes and I was done. If I had to wait 1/2 hour or more to get my car smogged at this place, I wouldn't care. He's got a great waiting room with WiFi. Alan is the best and now his wife has jumped in to help. She lines up the customers (and their paperwork) and Alan does the test. Then she gives you the printed results and a receipt. They've got it down to a science. TIP! Go at the off hours. You know what they are. Not weekends and not around lunch time. My only complaint is that I used to chit-chat about smog testing with Alan (I've been a shade-tree mechanic since I was 13) and he no longer has time to do that - he's too busy rolling cars through. I will repeat what I said in a past review... WOMAN - this is the place to get your car smog checked because he's honest, helpful and honest. Did I mention he's honest? read more

Smog checks are never fun (more inconvenient than anything). Pasadena Test Only & Smog was quick and reasonably priced. I was in the area and was able to bring my car in to get checked with only a 15 minute notice. It took them equally as long to check my car and have me on my way. As easy as can be. I pulled up, he had me pull right into the garage. Both people working were masked up. I handed him my paper work and he said it would take about 5 minutes. He immediately starting running the test. They have a couple wooden chairs in the corner for you to sit in. The garage is open from both ends so it was very ventilated, sunny, and felt pandemic approved. I paid cash, to get the $40 deal and off I went. About as good of an experience as I could have possibly hoped for. read more

was in and out of there in a flash both times. Originally went there and was told my car failed because I just changed the battery. Apparently you can't have a new battery and get smog tested (it disconnected the car computer and reset "something") so I had to go back another time but retest is only $10. The lady there was very patient and explained to me what I needed to do in between and my car passed the 2nd test. If you pay cash it's only $40 vs cc is $45. read more

I stopped by in the AM for an oil change. I didn't make an appointment beforehand or anything, but they were happy to accommodate. But as it turns out, it was quite early for an oil change and I didn't need it. They reset my car system sensor so the alert disappeared and sent me on my way, no charge. Visited today 3/17/2026, after speaking with Matt the day before. I brought in brand new 21 inch Tesla rear wheels and Michelin PS4 tires for installation on my car. I drove over an hour from Chatsworth, California to this location so that they could use the Hunter Revolution machine, specifically to avoid damaging my wheels. Nevertheless, Matt, if it's his real name, severely damaged my new wheel near the wheel center cap area with the machine that was made to avoid this. How incompetent!!! He lied to my face and gave dull, illogical, dummy excuses about what happened. Bottom line: He damaged the wheel and would not acknowledge and take accountability for his actions. I had to call the police to make a record of this issue because I will be suing. The damage was caused because he did not apply the machine's plastic adapter when he clamped onto the face of the wheel; he clamped to the face of the wheel with metal to metal contact and severely damaged the paint. I was charged $688 for a muffler and 2.25 straight pipe install. I was told that the muffler was a…read more50 series Flow Master for $180. After I pickup my supra I noticed the exhaust sound wasn't consistent which Flow Master and lifted the car to discover a generic no brand muffler and very poor welded job. When I confronted Omar, he said that despite my muffler not saying it was a Flow Master. I called Flowmaster the company to confirm, and they let me know they do not create Flowmaster mufflers without the Flowmaster brand emblem. Advance Muffler also had installed a 'magma flow" muffler on my son's Acura Integra a few months back so I also lifted his car to find that his muffler was also generic with no brand markings. I spoke to Omar about the situation and he refunded my Supra install and stated he is not a muffler guy and didn't know. I believe this shop often claims to sell you brand name mufflers, like Flowmaster at a premium price and installs generic no name mufflers not expecting customers to ever check.
