Smog checks aren't exactly sexy, all people want are to get in and out and pay a reasonable price. Pasadena Smog test ticks all those boxes. It's obvious they have the process down. It probably takes them 10 min per car so based on how many people you see ahead of you you can calculate your wait time. 40 bucks if you pay cash 45 for credit. Nice friendly service, clean shop, in and out. read more

This was the first time I was required to get a Smog Check in order to renew my vehicle's registration. This place had the best reviews, so I came here. I came on a Thursday morning. The service was professional, friendly, and efficient. I don't think I was there more than 15 minutes. I wish I hadn't put it off for so long. Cost was $50 cash or $55 with credit card. These guys are awesome. I have been getting all my smog checks from this place for years throughout all my cars! They do it so quick, that I dont even have to think. No BS. In fact, i just show up with the DMV papers and next thing i knew, its already done - forwarded to the DMV with receipt and paper in hand all ready to go. Remember, you just have to pay for the actual registration too. And something else, im not sure if they still do it, but it was my first car many moons ago with a check engine light that would never go off, and when i had it checked, he noticed the gas cap was missing from my tank, so he replaced it with a compatible one he had in his shop - i drove around it a bit, and it was gone! So... if you have a check engine light and your gas cap is missing, you probably need one or its likely loose! read more

My dad recommended me to Alen to complete my DMV smog check. He is honest and reasonably priced. His location is fast and efficient. I was in and out within 10 minutes as many other reviews stated. We ended up needing a recheck, but he provided us with tips on how to make sure we pass the next time. When we brought in the car, he quickly scanned to ensure everything will run smoothly. I brought in my car to get a Smog check done. Extremely prompt and friendly service. They even have a clean waiting area for you to sit while your car goes through the smog test. The whole thing took less than 10 mins. They charge $40 for cash payments and $45 for credit card transactions. Very efficient and great service! read more

Went specifically to get my Air Conditioning in my Honda Accord serviced. My AC wasn't running cold, and this summer's been rough. The whole process didn't take an excessive amount of time, the two at the shop's helm were incredibly nice, and most importantly, I left the with my car blowing ice cold air again. Super convenient location. The owner drove my car inside and got started right away. There's a few chairs to sit inside while you wait for your service. Their business is pretty clean inside and even though it's summer they had nice fans blowing to keep cool. I believe his wife is the one who took my payment. i had previously taken my car to two smog shops on Walnut. Both stations charged $81 but my tests were aborted because of the machine inability to read my car after rpm's dropped mysteriously. Took it over to a mechanic who took it over to Pasadena Smog. It passed fine and only cost $65!! Highly recommend this shop for honesty and great prices!! read more

The person who attended me was super nice. From what I know, they don't do appointments. I showed up around 3pm in my car and asked for a smog check. Results were electronically sent to the DMV Was out in about 10-15 mins at a pretty friendly rate. Would go back for sure! read more

Review for oil change only: COME HERE; DONT GO TO JIFFY LUBE!!!! I made the mistake of getting my previous oil change at the jiffy lube on Hill and my car ran horribly afterwards. I refused to go back again which is how I found this place - thank goodness! This place is Family owned and you are treated like family. The husband and wife are both so kind and take their business/customer service seriously. I took my car in for an oil change ($65 - same price as jiffy lube) and they also topped off all my fluids and refilled my coolant which was EMPTY (that's because they told me JIFFY LUBE DOESNT CHECK FLUIDS OR COOLANT - no wonder my car was unhappy!!). Dropped my car off and it was ready in under an hour. Do yourself a favor and get your oil changes here! read more

I was charged $688 for a muffler and 2.25 straight pipe install. I was told that the muffler was a…read more50 series Flow Master for $180. After I pickup my supra I noticed the exhaust sound wasn't consistent which Flow Master and lifted the car to discover a generic no brand muffler and very poor welded job. When I confronted Omar, he said that despite my muffler not saying it was a Flow Master. I called Flowmaster the company to confirm, and they let me know they do not create Flowmaster mufflers without the Flowmaster brand emblem. Advance Muffler also had installed a 'magma flow" muffler on my son's Acura Integra a few months back so I also lifted his car to find that his muffler was also generic with no brand markings. I spoke to Omar about the situation and he refunded my Supra install and stated he is not a muffler guy and didn't know. I believe this shop often claims to sell you brand name mufflers, like Flowmaster at a premium price and installs generic no name mufflers not expecting customers to ever check.
