On September 6th, 2018, I took my family that was in town visiting as well as some friends to Pasha Grill for dinner. The Yelp reviews seemed okay so we gave this restaurant a try. We were treated nicely throughout our visit, but the multiple waiters that we had seemed oblivious to the issues at our table. There were some sort of bugs constantly flying around in the area that we were seated in. I had killed 3 flying bugs and we were all fanning constantly at the table for the majority of our dinner. I wiped the first bug that I killed with my hands into my cloth napkin and asked the waiter for a new napkin because I had killed a flying bug. The waiter brought me another napkin, but did not acknowledge the fact that I had to kill a flying bug due to its continual flying around us and our complimentary bread. Then as we were conversing at the table I glanced at my sister's water and one of the bugs were floating in it so I stopped her from continuing to drink out of the glass. I then called one of the waiters over and showed him the bug in the glass of water. I then asked for a new glass of water for my sister and it was brought, but the issue of the bugs still wasn't addressed. Each one of us at the table were fanning the flying bugs away throughout our meal. I am not sure what was going on in this restaurant on this day, but it was definitely inconvenient and disgusting. I am hoping that the back kitchen area was not as bad as their dining area. We tried to overlook this issue in hopes of enjoying the company of our guests, but the bugs were rather distracting throughout our visit to this restaurant. read more

Food is absolutely delicious. Best Hummus in Dayton. Lamb Kebobs melt in your mouth. Never got anything I disliked there. Highly recommend to treat yourself to Pasha Grill. You leave hungry that is in you. read more

I have been to many restaurants claiming Mediterranean cuisine and this one is very high on the list! Absolutely great food, all prepared fresh daily and very authentic. I have eaten at Pasha Several times and have always been pleased and very full when I left. Most recently was yesterday when my BF and I went to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and he surprised me. He is not very adventurous when it comes to food and tends to stick to the same places so I was apprehensive of him coming here. The ambiance is one where you could come in casually or dressed to the nines and still feel comfortable. It is absolutely beautiful inside and on nice days they have a great patio. This was a perfect choice for our anniversary dinner. We started with the bread and oil that's brought to the table. The bread is so light and airy and really showcases the flavor of the oil and spices so well. It was like a small burst of sunshine in your mouth with every bite. We got a great bottle of Merlot that was not too expensive and tasted very very good (better than we expected given the price was in the lower range of their offerings) I ordered lamb kebab and BF ordered steak kebab. They were served with rice pilaf and vegetables. All perfectly cooked. BF really enjoyed his but said he would definitely order the lamb next time after tasting mine. There aren't many places to get lamb so I order it every time. There is a sauce I. The side that compliments it well. The best part was that the BF said that we will most definitely be back. You won over a picky stubborn man and that is not easy to do! Someone in an earlier review mentioned flying bugs, it's because the place is open air when it's nice. Every place with a patio at the Greene has the same issue. We noticed one, swatted it away and had no other issues. The service was friendly and spectacular. So I have been coming to Pasha Grill for a few years now. It's one of our favorite places to go when we are in Dayton. Food: I admittedly usually get a mixed grill to share with the wife when I come here, but have also tried a few other dishes. The meats are always tender, flavorful and juicy. The rice is always a little disappointing--plain and not very buttery like other Mediterranean restaurants. Service: Always great attentive service here. They are very accommodating of events and large groups. Facilities: Pasha Grill is located in The Green Town Center, making it a great location for an evening out. There's ample parking available a short walk away, and some street parking spots out front. It has some seating tucked away, a little more intimate as well as tables out in the middle. This restaurant has amazing food. I went to eat here for lunch with a group of seven. The staff is very polite and even when we needed to move places they were very accommodating. The lunch special they have was well worth it: $12 for an appetizer, entree, and the dessert of the day. Our group shared hummus, tabuli, babaganoush, and haydari for appetizers. The food was great but make sure you're open to exotic flavors. For the entree I had the chicken kebab wrap which comes with fries. It was really great and I had so much food that I had to take half of the wrap home. There was also rice pudding which was amazing. We were never in want for more bread or drinks. The interior decor is also very nice. All in all a great place to go if you want to try new food. read more

I absolutely loved my dining experience at pasha grill. The food was unique, fresh and delicious. There are not many places to get Turkish cuisine in Dayton Ohio and I would highly recommend pasha grill if you are craving Mediterranean or middle eastern foods. Their service staff is excellent and the decor matches their standards. The restaurant is located within "The Greene", an outdoor shopping village. The restaurant is very nice. The staff is friendly and attentive. I ordered the Gyro plate lunch special, which was the best Gyro I have ever had. It included a starter and a dessert. I had the tabuli. It was delicious, but I came across a piece of rapping from the parsley. I sent it back and they removed it from the bill. Other than that, it was a very pleasant experience. We have had better Mediterranean food elsewhere especially for the price point. The bread was like a pizza dough with a dipping sauce made of olive oil, rosemary and sun dried tomatoes. The free bread and oil were the best part of the meal. Hubby had Spicy Beyti Kebab which is seasoned ground lamb wrapped in labash bread likened to a thin tortilla. It wasn't spicy per Hubby. It had a tomato sauce. On the side was a generously sized yogurt and a regular portion of rice. I had a combo Kebab plate with steak and shrimps. Sadly my shrimps were smaller than expected and there were only 5 of them with the peel still on the end next to the tail making it difficult to eat as I had to get them off the skewer then cut the peels and tails off. I ended up just cutting off at where the peels began because the shrimps were too small. The steak was also lackluster but I did get some red chili flakes to liven up the flavor of my medium rare pieces. Regular portion of rice. Really wilted salad, seriously wilted. Large portion of nearly dead lettuce. It was covered by ultra thin slices of tomato. So why the 4 stars? Because the free bread and dip was that delicious. Also the decor was upscale. This is the only place I can get my family (half picky eaters, half adventurous eaters) to agree on! The picky eater side sticks with the kebabs or sandwiches with french fries, and the rest of us try a new authentic turkish dish each time. We all agree that the complimentary starter bread (like a thick, warm pita) is to die for. My personal favorite dish is the Doner Special, which is absolutely delicious, if not very visually appealing. It's basically a bed of blended eggplant with smoky spices, topped with 3 meals worth of shaved doner meat and a bit of a tomato-based sauce, served with rice pilaf on the side. Absolutely wonderful food and service. I was a newcomer to this type of cuisine and I am glad this was my point-of-entry. The service is always very prompt, courteous and friendly. The owner seems to be present and involved in the business and it shows. My wife and I enjoy the doner kebab with extra vegetables. Usually the protein of an entree is the star, but I enjoy the bread, rice, and veggies as much as the meat. My wife also enjoys getting a smoothie here anytime we dine. Portion sizes are great and you can easily share with a friend or significant other. Our kids are always pleased with the traditional offerings from the kids' menu, too. The lunch special today was great for $11.95! You choose an appetizer entree and receive the dessert of the day. The dessert today was almond pudding and was a fluffy mousse pudding with bits and pieces of almond inside. I can't quite place the pudding taste but it was delicious. I could inhale a couple more servings of it. The vegetable stew was surprisingly filling. You can add lamb or chicken to it. I should begin this review with a caveat: my star ratings are based relative to the region--i think it goes without saying that the quality of dining in a given city is dependent upon many different factors. That being said, having lived on the east coast for the past half decade or so and having eaten many a delicious food stuff, I had some serious resignations about the local culinary scene (or perceived lack thereof) with my move back to my birthplace, good ol' Dayton, Ohio. Pasha Grill stands out as a place that even the most discerning of tastes will appreciate--and the fact that it's right here in Dayton is perhaps most extraordinary of all. I will always prefer and support a privately owned and operated establishment over that of a chain--places like this need our patronage, not corporate conglomerates! First, the typically mundane bread/rolls that precede most meals.... you can tell immediately from the quality of Pasha's bread that this place is special. It's delightfully crusty on the outside, piping hot and chewy on the inside, and perhaps most importantly, is served with quality olive oil. My girlfriend ordered a chicken kabob with yogurt was thankfully moist, but my moussaka definitely stole the show. I was so pleased, in fact, that I am returning here this very night with my parents! I came here on Sunday night for the first time since moving into The Greene 2 months ago. It's been on my list of places to try for awhile and I don't know why I haven't come sooner. It's pretty well documented on Yelp that Dayton doesn't have a huge ethnic food scene so it's great for me that this place is just downstairs. We started with the bread that came with their red pepper olive oil dip. We also ordered a side of hummus. The bread was really good. It was warm with an airy chewy texture. The dip was flavorful but I preferred the hummus which was perfectly creamy. I had the mousaka and it was exactly what I had been craving. The meat mixture was well seasoned and tasty, the eggplant was tender and there was plenty of bechamel and cheese. I don't know if the side of rice was necessary. I would've preferred a vegetable or a little salad. Definitely delicious and I will be back. read more

I don't like restaurants that don't disclose what they are offering you and charge you for things they offered you as if it were free. As the server was walking away he said, by the way would you like feta cheese? I said sure, and he charged me 2 extra dollars for 4 sprinkles of feta cheese. Also, as he was recommending dishes to my friends he recommended only the expensive dishes, lol.
