BEWARE SCAM: I'm writing this review to warn others about the dishonest business practices of Pasha Hawaii. I paid an additional $125 for supplemental insurance to protect my vehicle during transport, but this insurance is absolutely worthless. When my vehicle arrived with significant INTERIOR DAMAGE, specifically the extreme heat during transport caused the adhesive under the genuine wood veneer to fail, causing it to warp and peel. I was stunned by their response. Pasha Hawaii knowingly uses insurance terms that exclude the very damage most likely to occur, and they refuse to take any responsibility. Despite the fact that I paid for extra coverage, I received a denial letter from Jennifer Getz, Senior Claims Adjuster at Pasha, which explicitly stated that they refuse to cover the interior damage. They had the audacity to claim that interior damages are "not consistent with transit related damages" and pointed to their own shipping terms to deny liability. Even worse, they highlighted that the supplemental insurance I paid extra for specifically excludes the interior damage I experienced. I received the car in LA with a broken door handle and super glue drippings on the door! I honestly didn't mind that the door handle broke off, I could easily replace that. But the fact that they tried to hide it with superglue and made it way worse than what it was. They said they received the car like that. I put a lot of work and money into this car. For most of us busy, working folk, this is not a reasonable amount of time. And - you guessed it - their call back feature does not work. Do better, Pasha. They won't approve your documents to do the shipping until soonest 2 weeks before your ship date. Thus you cannot schedule your drop off date until this time. Meaning, anybody who is flying after dropping off a car has to wait until TWO WEEKS before drop off date to book a flight. Flight prices are very expensive unless booked earlier. Do better, Pasha. Once they take your money, they won't give you a full refund. There is a $75 "cancellation fee", even if you contact them within one hour of booking as I tried to do. Be warned. When I did have to schedule a "drop off", they were very helpful on the phone to answer all of my questions. I held my breath for a week while the car was at Sea. Pulled up to their warehouse in Kalihi, had my car inspected, and signed some papers. It stayed at that location for about a week, until the assigned fleet was ready to ship out. Another week later, it arrived at the port in California but stayed there until they were able to schedule a delivery with the trucking company. The Pasha customer service team was very helpful for port-to-port information but had no idea about who from the trucking company was going to reach out to me nor the estimated delivery date. Shortly after I called Pasha asking for an update, someone from the (what I assume is a third-party) trucking company called to confirm an "earliest delivery date" day. I received both calls and texts from both a Pasha representative and the truck driver to confirm a day and time and it arrived in good condition. I paid and planned for my vehicle to arrive on May 16, but due to overbooking (which I was never clearly communicated), my car didn't arrive until June 5. Communication throughout the entire process was virtually nonexistent. I was left completely in the dark unless I did all the legwork to track down answers myself. When I finally got someone to respond, the information provided was vague, unhelpful, and often contradictory. Customer service was not just unresponsive -- they were downright hostile and adversarial at times. There was no accountability or transparency at any point. For the cost of this service, I expected basic professionalism, clear communication, and timely delivery -- none of which Pasha delivered. I have used Pasha to ship multiple cars to and from Hawaii. The customer-facing people there are both unpleasant and lazy. I knew that from past dealings but recently had to ship two EV's (Teslas) from Oahu to the Mainland. Matson no longer moves EVs so Pasha has a monopoly and acts like it. They lied to me multiple times during the process, found excuses not to release the cars once they arrived in San Diego so they could charged me "excess storage fees" and the management on the mainland told me to take a long walk on a short pier when I contacted them. I wish the PUC would start regulating them as a monopoly and squeeze down their profit margins. First of all I am no novice when it comes to barging vehicles and using barge companies. As a matter of fact I have been doing this for over 20 years. I say that to say that Pasha Hawaii should be avoided at all cost. In my opinion any good review of this company is a plant by Pasha Hawaii to bring up their 1 star reviews to 3. Initially I was going to use Hawaii Car Transport as a go between me and the barge company. The reason I switched is because HCT kept calling me and telling me there was a scheduling change. The last call they said that the car wouldn't arrive until June and this was still April. So I decided not to use HCT and shopped barge companies on my own. I came across PASHA and they told me everything I wanted to hear. The drop off window was 4/28-5/1, the departure date was 5/3-5/6, the arrival date was 5/11-5/13 and I could pick my car up 2-3 days after that. Sounds good right? Wrong. Their defense for taking 1 month to leave port rather than a few days as advertised is "exact times & dates are subject to change". Knowing full and well that is what other barge companies say which understandably means a few days. NOT A MONTH! Then after letting my vehicle sit for 4 weeks without starting it my battery drained and wouldn't start so they said they had to charge me an extra $500 because it had to be loaded differently. (SCAM) To sum it up I will say that Pasha Hawaii had no intentions of keeping their original departure date but for fear of us using another company they purposely lied. Which is really why HCT kept changing the dates. They were being transparent & honest but PASHA is exactly the opposite! My proof is after I left Hawaii, while I waited a month, I did some investigating and discovered that 3 weeks after it was supposed to depart from Honolulu it was in San Diego heading back to Hilo, en route to Honolulu. If any one of these reviews are actual customers & not staged by Pasha it is only a fluke that they had a bad experience not the norm... When I booked and called in March to make an appointment they told me I wasn't gonna be able to bring my car to the drop off nor ship it until mid April. I left Hawaii and booked a ticket back to Hawaii for the drop off appointment. Once back in Hawaii I called to make sure everything was good for the drop off. I was only then informed that loading and shipping was delayed by a week (by then I was scheduled to have left island already). No early drop off available. I did a Google search for "Matson Car Shipping Hawaii to LA" to move my 2021 Ford Explorer to LA. It looked like the first on the list was Matson, so I called Hawaii Car Transport thinking that they used Matson. My preference was to go through Matson because I liked the experience I had with them moving my car to Hawaii. However, when it came down to scheduling drop off of my vehicle, I learned I was booked with Pasha. Mistake on my part for not asking Hawaii Car Transport. I had a good experience working with Hawaii Car Transport, and when I called to schedule drop-off, that's when I found out I was dropping off at Pasha. Customer service was not very friendly. I explained that Hawaii Car Transport said it was okay to have jumper cables in the car, but they told me nothing can be in the car. There was also conflicting dates when comparing the estimate between Pasha and HCT. I decided since all was scheduled to just go with it. The guy that took my vehicle at drop off was very friendly and that whole process went smoothly. Five Stars for the port experience! It's actually because of that good experience, I am rating 4 stars and not 3 stars. Pasha had not status updates or live location of the vehicle as it traveled. If it wasn't for my vehicle's GPS, I wouldn't have known when it arrived in San Diego. As soon as I saw it was in Compton, I called the day after it arrived there to schedule pickup. I was told I could not schedule yet because they didn't see it arrived yet. I requested to just pencil me in but they were firm that they didn't receive it. I finally got notification from Hawaii Car Transport that I could schedule pickup the following week and scheduled early am at 7:30am. When I picked it up, experience was pretty simple. When I checked in, I was told to wait at the driveway for my car. From time of check in, it took 21 mins to get my car. There was no formal review of the car's exterior like there was when dropping off, so I did the walk-around myself and left when all looked good. My only complaint at pick up was that my key smelled like it was drenched in gasoline. I keep a rubber case on my key to protect it and it felt sticky and slimey. If I could give Pasha zero stars, I would. I booked with them back in January to ship my car from HNL to Texas in April. I uploaded all the required documents and, to my knowledge, everything was up to date. I'm a very prepared person, so to be sure, I even called a week before the scheduled ship date to double-check my paperwork. They confirmed everything was good to go. I also scheduled a drop-off time--9:15am on April 15th--even though with Matson, that's not even required. To get ready, I had my car professionally detailed and made arrangements for my friends to drive out from the North Shore to help me get back home. I took the day off work, drove over an hour to the drop-off site, and when I got there, I was told by the coordinator that the ship wasn't even coming. He said I "should've gotten an email," but the only message I received was a generic reminder from the day before about prepping the car and submitting paperwork if I hadn't already. There was absolutely no communication from Pasha about a delay or cancellation. At this point, I had already spent about $400 between the detail, compensating my friends, and lost wages. The coordinator gave me a number to call, and after waiting on hold for over 30 minutes, I requested a callback. When they finally called, I explained the situation, but the woman on the line just repeated that I had signed something saying dates were "subject to change." That wasn't even the issue--had I been informed, I would've never shown up. I asked if they could offer some kind of discount or compensation, and again, all they did was repeat the "subject to change" line. I escalated to a supervisor, and after a 45-minute call, he admitted the boat was overbooked and my car had been bumped--even though I booked in January. Both the rep and the supervisor admitted they failed to inform me and apologized, but that was it. No accountability, no resolution. If you're looking for a company that truly doesn't care about its customers, Pasha is it. If you need another reason not to ship with them, just read a few of their other reviews. This wasn't just a mistake--it was a complete failure in basic communication and customer service. Pasha I guess you don't need to care as you know people in Hawaii only have a few options. I canceled my reservation with them and was still forced to pay the $75 cancellation fee--despite the mistake being entirely on their end. I was told over the phone there was nothing they could do. We drove 75 miles and it was closed. We drove back the next day and picked up the car and it was filthy. So bad we couldn't see out of the windshield. There were greasy fingerprints on the inside as well. For a company that insists you drop off clean and sanitized my thought is they should return it in the same condition!! BLUF-Pasha caused $1300 worth of damage to our car and tried to hide it AND are ignoring our insurance company. STAY AWAY We used Pasha to ship our cars from Hawaii to Delaware. Upon receiving our 2016 Toyota Camry in Delaware, my husband noticed the car was running incredibly loud, with smoke coming from the exhaust. He also noticed scratches on the back bumper and that it was hanging off a bit. My husband is disabled and wasn't able to look under the car, so I looked when I got home from work. The entire exhaust system was badly damaged (crushed pipes, hole in muffler, etc.) but the kicker was it had all been tied together with ratchet straps. So not only had someone severely damaged the vehicle in shipping, they tried to hide the damage of the now falling off exhaust system. Our broker obtained photos from the driver who picked up the vehicle from Pasha at the port in California, and the photos showed the damage to the rear bumper was there on pickup, meaning that Pasha had been the ones to cause the damage. Our car insurance adjuster believed the damage was likely caused by someone lifting the vehicle with a fork lift or similar implement. Pasha caused $1300 in damage to our car, and as of this writing (approximately two months since delivery) have still not responded to our insurance claim. The damage is bad enough on its own but the fact that they ratchet strapped it together to hide what they did is just the epitome of shady and unethical business practices. Pasha Hawaii was extremely difficult to work with on both ends of the equasion, with both in person employees at the ports and with phone scheduling, with by far the worst experience being at their Los Angeles-Compton port. An appointment was scheduled for today, February 16th at 11:30. I confirmed with the agent that we would not need the bill of lading, only a valid ID for the name on the title to pick up. Well we get there, and they are now asking for papers we didn't bring because the phone rep said we didn't need it. We get to their Compton facility, there's no parking and the three disabled parking spots are filled with employees without placards, with the snotty front desk employee, Chante, moving their car to let their friend in one of the disabled parking spots(also without a placard). We go to get our car, and their employees locked the key in the car. The employees have the locksmith equipment to open the car, but can't get it open, and every single representative with their "third party partner" refuses to take responsibility or rectify the situation. They refuse to call AAA or a locksmith, and we end up having to call it ourselves to get the car open. 2 hours later, we're finally on the road out. Completely trash customer service, and Pasha needs to reassess their port partners and how they reflect back on them. If you wanna skip the crap, go with Matson. I went with them the first time and had a significantly better service with them, as well as not requiring a notarized letter from the owned to pick up the car. I have the same last name as the owner! It was my FIRST time shipping a car over to the mainland so I was very scared and wasn't sure what to expect when shipping my car over. Basically, I was shipping my car over to Long Beach, CA from Honolulu and then picking it up from California to drive it home to our house in Las Vegas. PRE-SHIPPING: PASHA sent me emails of basically what to expect and to submit prior to me dropping off my car. So after reading the instructions and following the instructions on the link sent to me, I was able to upload all proper documents timely and able to clean my car before I dropped it off. I dropped off my car in Kalihi in this warehouse. I was skeptic about the area because I had no idea where this location was at BUT they had a lot of PASHA signage and identifiers that really helped me navigate into the building. I was able to schedule a drop off time in advance (read the instructions haha) and the people that checked me in were super nice and it wasn't even a long wait. I made sure to empty out all of my belongings. Note: make sure you take all of your important paperwork with you like car registration, etc. I know they say to keep gas less than 1/4 - mine was a little more over 1/4 but the guys said it was good. SHIPPING: Check your emails! PASHA notified me when the ship was leaving port and ETA for it to arrive. I had taken a flight to Japan for a couple of days and was making my way to Las Vegas after Japan and kept checking on my car as I traveled. I dropped off my car on November 14th, it got shipped out on November 22nd and arrived in California on November 27th. But it was in San Diego during that time so they had to drive it over to Long Beach from San Diego. Because of this, it took another 2-3 days until they finally called me to let me know that it was in Long Beach. POST-SHIPPING: They finally called me on November 30th and I was able to schedule a pick-up time the week after in Long Beach (one down side is that the Long Beach office is closed on weekends). I flew out to Long Beach from Las Vegas (I took Southwest) and the airport was super small but was able to get a Lyft/Uber to the pickup location. It took about 10 minutes but it was definitely farther than I thought. When I arrived, I was able to check in and wait for my car to come in. It was pretty seamless and I didn't have to wait at all. My car was a bit dirty but was expected especially after being shipped from Hawaii. Overall, the experience was very easy and I would highly recommend it. I only spent about $900 for my car to be shipped over so not sure if that varies for every car but PASHA had a way better deal compared to MATSON or other shipping companies. read more

Dropped off my vehicle to be shipped from Hawaii to Florida. Making reservation and dropping off the vehicle went smoothly. My vehicle made it onto the ship as scheduled. From there things went downhill. Vehicle arrived in California and week passed before any action was done. Pasha called and asked me requested delivery times. I asked what company/organization/person was going to ship my vehicle from California to Florida. I was told someone would call me. No one called me. After 10 days passed, I called Pasha asking for an update. Pasha representative told me that the vehicle was ready to be released to carrier but had not been picked up and was still in California. I booked this shipment well in advance. Twenty minutes later the carrier company driver calls me and says he can deliver the next day between 9 am and 1 pm. I take off work. Driver did not call until 1:45 pm and said he would be at my place in 45 minutes. Hour and a half later he shows up. When he gets out of the truck, he immediately tells me that the vehicle has damage (scratches) and shows me pictures from when he picked it the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by Pasha in Honolulu and there was no scratches to the vehicle. Now Pasha sends me paperwork that Pasha considers this normal wear and tear and requested photos (which were submitted with the claim) and wants me to provide the paperwork that they provided me in order to process the claim along with repair estimates. They did not know nor provide (I asked for this more than once) the carrier company or any contact information for them and they had no idea my vehicle was picked up and during their portion of the transit they damaged my vehicle. On June 6, I placed the request and paid (approx $980) It seemed so clear cut, I let them know our desired arrival date and it gave me a shipment window and scheduled drop off date. The on line system seemed easy and seemed to ask the right questions (which they don't really even revisit or really use, except for the shipment window. Drop off date was later changed, which wasn't good as we (both the husband) and I put in leave time from work when we booked. Dro off: When you lease a car (be aware- (Honda corporate was horrible to deal with for this) you need some additional paperwork. They also said both my husband and I had to be there for drop off due to us both being on the lease. Drop off day came and they accepted the car from our daughter - without us. ‍Location was easy yo find. Pick up: I got a call on Thursday the 12th of August to say the car was there and to schedule a pickup time. When I first booked, I put in the desired pick up date and time (this is how the rest of the trip was booked - like flight and drive time). Well, to my surprise, I anticipated an 8:00 pick up as we arrived in LA at 6am. The only appointment time was 2:30pm Location easy to find again. The office is in an old portable with a small window for Pasha, it's also RoadOne Towing. The people here were friendly- this is the one star. The car was filthy upon pick up but in good condition. Pasha had to work on their communication- not the best and not accurate. I understand that the "sea time" might vary contingent on what is out of our control for weather, however, this shipment was uneventful??? Why did they have me fill out a pick up time when I booked if they didn't use that information? How did others get an earlier pick up time when we booked before them? We met two others at pick up and asked. Systems are really important and we were extremely strategic in planning the timing of this trip and it was ruined by Pasha's un-system. I would not recommend Pasha, it was a stressful time, they didn't make the experience easy at all. We have friends who shipped a car too and they went with Matson , paid a little more than us but had a more accurate and better experience. read more

Pasha was very flexible with helping me ship my vehicle to San Diego then being able to pick it up in Los Angeles. Dropped it off on April 19th then picked it up in LA on May 3rd. No issues with shipping my vehicle no damage and they let me know ASAP when I could pick up my car. Then I was able to make an appointment the next day and was able to pick it up in less than 10mins. And they give a military discount which was nice! Great deal! read more

Paid $6000 to have a cab and chassis dump truck shipped to Hawaii. Truck arrived to Hilo port and the straps had come loose and the truck wasnt put into gear during shipping causing the truck to roll into another cab and chassis truck in front of it. Over $6000 in repairs needed, Pasha had us file a claim and two estimates from different shops. After submitting everything, they email back saying they're offering only $1000. When we counter and say that is unacceptable for the damage done to the truck, we're then told that because EXTRA INSURANCE wasnt purchased on the truck, the $1000 is all they will be offering. This company is horrible, we've had to make claims with Matson prior to this and they never even questioned anything and sent a check right away to cover damages. ZERO STARS! I shipped a car from Honolulu to Oakland and it arrived with a large dent on the door. We filed a claim and Pasha states that the damages are "normal wear and tear" that occur during transport. Geez!!!! Really??? Don't expect any kind of customer service at Pasha. I guess they don't rely on return customers. *Our car wasn't the only one that arrived with dings. The gentleman who pick up his car a few minutes before me was also was filing a claim! read more

First off Matson & Pasha have about the same rates from their West Coast ports. However, it's when shipping to the ports from other states that Pasha falls on its face charging over $800 more than their competitor Matson for the same distance. Look at phots of two different quotes after all details were final, thanks but no thanks. Be smart with your money. read more

I dropped my car off December 7th at their Honolulu location to ship to Washington state and it arrived on December 20th! Much faster than I expected. The drop off was very quick and easy.. and pickup was even more so! Definitely recommend using Pasha. Pasha Hawaii is great. I just recently shipped my car from Honolulu to Los Angeles and I have to say, Pasha Hawaii was the easiest company to work with. I also loved how they weren't pushy about choosing them over the other shipping companies. I had 10 shipping companies calling me and emailing me and giving me crazy rates to ship, so I had to ignore them. A good friend of mine just shipped her truck from Honolulu to Dallas and she said it was the greatest experience ever, so after hearing about her experience, I had to go with Pasha Hawaii too.
