The food was not really good. The pizza was ok. When you order a pie, they make it fresh so that was a plus. I had the Chicken Marsala and the sauce was watery. It just tasted like weak gravy with mushrooms in it. Additionally, some of the chicken pieces had a weird hard texture to it. It looked like chicken breasts but some of the pieces didn't feel like it and it costs $12.49. The place is kind of like a cafeteria. You are forced to take cards. You pick up your food from the servers at the counter "stations" and they put the charge on the card. Then you take the card to the cashier to pay. That whole system I thought was kind of weird. All in all, food not that good. I'd rather spend my $15 elsewhere. read more

I would like to give this place 3.5 stars. I have eaten here once before but most recently I ordered wings for the Super Bowl. On a scale from 1-10, I would give the wings a 7. They were very good. What I appreciated most was the allowance of custom requests. They gave me the garlic parm and hot sauces on the side. As well as ranch and bleu cheese. Even extra celery without charging me an extra dime. Some of you may think that is rather customary and expected but I have had places charge me dollars for extra ranch and side requests. So I appreciated it a whole lot. The wing size was medium and not to small. Overall, I would def recommend the wings in the garlic sauce. The part that I disliked was the sit down portion of the business. I was looking for a more authentic Italian type meal and I got Italian food made by Mexican cooks. I guess a lot of places are like that now a days but it was just let down. Interesting method of service though. You get a credit type card and then you head to each station and fill up your plate buffet style and they swipe the card. At the end you hand over the card and they ring you up. I like this place because you can get a decent pizza and other foods from desserts to entrees to sandwiches at a decent price and little wait. As a result, food is not cooked to order, but reheated or kept warm. It is not fine dining but a good place to take the family for a casual dinner. That having been said, I like the pizza here and there are plenty of choices. On a Friday night you have the choice of 10 different types of slices including Sicilian plus calzones and Stromboli. You can get salads and prepared foods as well and there even is a dessert counter. I typically go for the pizza. The food is served in a modified cafeteria style. When you enter, you are asked how many "cards" you want for your party that are like credit cards.. If you have a teenager with you, get him/her a separate card and they can charge food to the card as they go to the station of their choice to place their order and you can use yours to charge what you want to yours. Get your food and select a seat at the tables or in a comfortable booth. Drinks are self serve. They have staff that will bus the tables. When you are finished you turn your cards in at the register and pay for what has been charged to your card(s). They do have takeout and you can get whole pies to go or have them delivered. Ordered 10 hot wings (all flats) and a buffalo chicken cheese steak for delivery. The wings were amazing. Sauce was great, wings cooked perfectly, didn't overdose them with sauce so they'd show up soggy, and they truly honored my request of "All Flats" when the girl on the phone was only able to say "We'll try." (Which isn't out of the ordinary, but most places will straight up tell you No, and the fact that I was only slightly promised and then they fully delivered is amazing in my book. That's how you get customers and keep them coming back.) The reason I only give them 3 Stars is that, when my order arrived at my apartment, my buffalo chicken cheesesteak (which was properly placed on my receipt) ended up being a plain regular cheesesteak. When I called to rectify the situation, I was told they would only be able to provide a $2 credit, instead of providing my requested order (cost me $7.15). While I did end up eating the cheesesteak (I put some of the excess buffalo sauce from the wings on it, which gave it that extra spice, and the cheesesteak itself was fine. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about.), I wish they would've been willing to either compensate my order with a proper credit, or at least provide me with the sandwich I requested with a return of the sandwich they provided me. Apparently Passariello's has been in the area for ages, yet I never heard of it. My husband suggested it after an arduous search for somewhere we've never been on a Friday afternoon when we were famished. He's been to the one near his work in Moorestown and said it was good for a quick bite with lots of choices. You walk in, grab a "meal card" and walk around a college cafeteria-like dining room. When you choose your food you tell the server behind the counter and they heat it up for you and swipe your "meal card". You get your food, find a seat, eat, and pay at the end. Well let me say, there were a lot of choices! So much so that I was immediately overwhelmed. At first glance it was quite an impressive display of grub. As I settled in to my surroundings I became flustered. There were people everywhere ordering with no line, no rhyme, no reason. Every time I went to look closer at a display of food (mostly Italian options, salads, sandwiches, paninis, and pizza) the servers would immediately asked me what I wanted and continued to do so several times after I told them I was still trying to decide. Can I get a sec? I don't like the pressure. We all ordered pizza and garlic bread. I know, carbo loading. I didn't want pizza but honestly it was the only item that looked good enough to eat. The Italian dishes looked like they'd been sitting out for a while and there was a really long line (or should I say large group of people congregating) where you ordered a sandwich. The pizza was okay. Not the best, not the worst and I can speak for everyone in my party. We were starving, so it was good enough. Oh, and something else that added to my anxiety was that there were absolutely no prices on the menus displayed up above the counters or on the paper menu. If I could give them zero or negative stars, I would. Let's start with the service. I was off today, and the kids were dying to see Cars 2. We took them to see it at a morning showing at the Ritz, and came out hungry. For years, we'd seen this place in its various incarnations, though we never ate there. In hindsight, this was Providence at work. We walked in, there was a pack of 4 or 5 workers just sort of standing around. No indication that you need the silly little card at all. When we ordered food, we get the "where's your card?" bit, followed by eye rolling, etc. The card system would have worked just fine - if there was some sort of indication for a first-time customer that you needed one, or someone was actually there handing them out to customers as they walked in. Heck, even a basket full of them and a little sign telling you to take one so you can order food would have sufficed. We got around to ordering food, some at the pizza station, some chicken fingers & fries for the kids at the adjacent station. After having to explain the extremely simple order 4 or 5 times to the pizza guy (a plain slice for my wife, and I had a plain + a bbq chicken, plus two fountain drinks - how hard is that???) our confidence wasn't exactly inspired. The best thing I could say is that it qualifies as food. Just barely. Guys - this is what you call good pizza? Heck, Sbarro in the mall is better than this garbage was (and that's saying something). The crust was ok, the sauce was flat - almost no flavor - almost like straight tomato sauce right out of the can. The kids liked the chicken & fries - but that's just food service stuff - no real cooking there. The BBQ Chicken slice looked good, until I started eating it. Underneath the generous covering of BBQ sauce lurked enough onions to murder a small nation. Vile. Also, the plain slices were terribly over-cooked. I've never had a good slice of pizza in Voorhees. Ever. Lived in the area for the past 30 years. Not once. Fortunately, good pizza can be found in multiple locations just over in Marlton. Hey, I get it, I'm a pizza snob - raised in NJ (on actual good pizza), work 2-3 days a week in NYC. I know good pizza. This isn't it. This is the perfect Italian place if you want a no-frills, quick meal that is far superior to most pizza joints, and about 80% of what you'd expect from a sit-down restaurant. If you've never been here, it's cafeteria style meals, and they also have sections for pizza, deli, and desserts. You get a meal card upon entering and pay as you walk out. There has not once been a long wait, even though they are always busy with families around dinner time. It appears to be a go-to spot after youth sports games when parents don't want to cook or get delivery (though they do deliver). Here's what I REALLY enjoy about Passariello's - they are way more low-carb friendly than any Italian restaurant. Most other restaurants have NOTHING on the menu for us low-carb people. I hate having to substitute half the menu to get something that isn't carbo-loading. I've heard great things about their pizza, but as a health-conscious individual, I take advantage of getting a tasty real meal everytime I'm here. My go-to main dishes are chicken cacciatore or chicken with spinach/mozzarella, and two sides of vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower or green beans. The food always tastes fresh, and I never feel like I'm depriving myself. Having said that, the bread they give you with your meal is phenomenal. As I write this review, I wonder when we can go back. It's a slightly different experience from other local pizza places -- for starters, the food is better. As you enter, you grab a plastic card. Service is via cafeteria style; go at your own pace. They have food broken down into stations: dessert, salad, pasta, sandwiches and pizza. I might be missing one. As you order meals, drinks, whatever, you give your card to the staff member helping you and they run the card through their register. The cost of whatever you're getting is added to your card. We opted for pasta. We got a slice of lasagna (an a la carte item) and eggplant rollatini (which came with two sides). Both came with a basket of fresh bread. The lasagna was PHENOMENAL. I'm fairly picky about lasagna, but this was DELICIOUS. The slice was huge; I'm glad I didn't get any additional side dishes. We got a side of green beans and a side of roasted veggies with the eggplant. We ended up sharing those because the portions are huge. They had plenty of other side dishes to choose from, too. We saw couples come in with wine; staff members set them up with glasses and corkscrews. Staff walked around and pre-bussed tables and checked on everyone. Really cool. Only confirmation pick up time was on the next page, as soon as I was done ordering, but not on the email. Arrived when it said my order would be ready, called restaurant, & although she didn't answer right away (they seemed busy), when she did, she ran my order out very quickly. Very nice & polite woman. Wow, and I had a cafeteria style restaurant experience so recently that I absolutely hated. This place actually pulls it off better since food is not made-to-order, but it makes the food that much worse when you break it down into components. #1 I went for the pizza, you advertise yourself as a pizzeria so you have to at least have a good pizza, it's also the easiest thing to make. #2 Pizza should be fresh hot, not reheated in the oven lukewarm. Everyone knows the difference between fresh pizza and reheated pizza, the funny thing was we were there just before 12 pm so everything should have technically been fresh for lunch. I can imagine that most of the pizzas were made between 9-11 am for them all to be ready and sufficiently cold/dry before lunch. #3 I wasn't even sure of the type of pizza, I had to point to order without any labels. The staff member wasn't too helpful in letting me know what the hell it even was I was ordering. #4 Both of the slices I got lacked tomato sauce, I mean barely any sauce at all. This is one of the most important ingredients for a pizza. Ultimately I managed to only eat one slice, it was filling enough and I took the other home. I felt nauseous hours after eating the other slice, in fact I had to lather it with habanero sauce at home just to make it edible. So- when we walked in, it looked like was restaurant which offered menu style dining and a hot food bar in the back. I walked around to check it out and it all looked amazing! We ordered some wings (buffalo style) and a Toscana pie. We were worried that the wings would be saggy by the time we got home but they were super crispy. Pizza was also great. The crowd on a Friday evening was out of control. There was no safety protocols or social distancing. The wait for a pick up order was over 30 minutes for an order that was placed over an hour prior to the scheduled pick up time. There was no one managing the line and there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the line. The service to place an order for a slice was poor. The people running the pick up line were abrupt and rude at best. Someone keeps coming over to place more orders ready for pick up directly on the pizza display case which just blocks your view of the pizza. There was no customer appreciation or service. Exactly the low key, cafeteria style place you'd expect. They've got pizza, pasta and rustic sandwiches which is essentially anyone could ever want coming into a pizzeria. Heck, they've even got chicken cheese steak which is always a plus in my book! We got the chicken parm meal which came with two sides - baked ziti and mashed potatoes. The ziti was good but the mashed potatoes were bland, should have gotten something else. Also got the gnocchi with vodka sauce which was a real treat. I was very pleasantly surprised with the gnocchi. And of course, the pizza. Just magical! Their sandwiches however were not that great, so I would stay away from that next time you come in. If you're looking for the comfort of some greasy-spoon style food, then this is your place to go. The food isn't quality, but it's full of those fats and carbohydrates that you hate loving. Their pizza is fantastic, ad slices are HUGE. The gnocchi is nice and doughy, and my favorite appetizer - the mozzarella sticks, are clearly nothing less than deep fried. However, a word of warning, if you try their online delivery - the first time I ordered online was fine, the second time, I ordered at 7:30, and food wasn't delivered at my house until 9pm (after a follow=up phone call to the restaurant), and the third time I ordered online, they traded my favorite mozz. sticks for cheese fries which resulted in my utmost disappointment (honestly, their cheese fries leave something to be desired in my book). I also heard a rumor that they have good desserts. I recall ordering the Tira Misu there and finding it good, so I tried the Black out Cake, which on their menu reads as, "A layer of rich fudge cake, chocolate mousse, and creamy chocolate ganache finished with fudge cake chunks and chocolate drizzle." While this sounds like a mouth-watering MUST for chocoholics like myself, upon consumption, I found it to be lacking. I had expected a rich chocolate cake that would have me in a chocolaty-sugary coma of bliss and instead found an air-pumped cake with a mousse that left something to be desired. So as far as a quick slice of pizza, or bowl of pasta, yes, this is your place, but be wary that you are at a greasy-spoon eatery and that consequently, not all food will be served up to par with your expectations for deliciousness. read more

Not only did they get my order to me in about ten minutes (they list 40 minutes as an expected time frame), the food was great! You receive a card upon entering which you give the cooks when you want to purchase something. Some may not like this concept but I think it is pretty neat. I have never had a bad meal here! Their pizza is pretty good but I usually opt for a chicken or eggplant parm sanwich. MMMMMMM. Their sides such as onion rings and fries are also very good. I believe Passariellos should drop Pizzaria and Italian from it's name. The Pizza here is below average at best. Fresh Italian food it is not. My wife and I usually order food from Passariellos via delivery or pickup. I usually get wings or a cheesesteak wrap and she loves the salads; especially the BUONGUOSTO topped with olives, celery, fresh mozzarella, marinated mushrooms, and calamari; for a few bucks more. In my opinion, the salad station and the grill are the only places you should order from because everything is made to order. I was never a fan of the cafeteria style service at Passariellos. Unlike most places, the food doesn't seem to be kept hot instead it seems like it is kept at room temperature. On one visit I watched as they heated up the calamari for someone's pasta in a sauté pan. I guess there is nothing wrong with that right. Well on my last visit I ordered the chicken-parm dinner. I watched the guy behind the counter place a few pieces of cheese on a chicken pre-friend chicken breast and placed it in the microwave. My meal came with a side of pasta I ordered the bake ziti; they microwaved that too. It also came with a vegetable. I ordered broccoli; yup they microwaved that too. Once my entire plate of food was taken out of the microwave the man behind the counter proceeded to pour marinara sauce on everything; yes even the baked ziti which had a pink sauce already and was completely dried out from the microwave. If you want a good cheesesteak, and wings then this is your place. The Hot & Honey wings are awesome. If they drop everything else, this place would be awesome. read more

Passariellos is set up so that you go up to a station and order from the pizza window, the salad window, and then they have more italian style food like pasta, and chicken, in another station. You hand them the card you get at the door, and they add it to your bill by swiping your card, and then when you are ready to leave, they swipe the card, see what your bill is, and you pay at the counter. I have NEVER had a problem with Passariellos. The food is great, the employees are friendly, and it's quick and easy service. It's a good place to go sit down, and not have to be waited on, but still have that feeling of being in a restaurant. I usually leave a couple dollars on the tables for the bus ladies, but other than that, its a good way to go out and save a couple dollars on dining. read more

Horrible service. Went to pick up my food and had to wait 30 min once I got there. It should not take that long to make a salad. The host told be the reason it took so long was becuase "we were talking in the back." WOW, atleast lie to me and tell me you were baking fresh bread in the back. She was so rude to me. This incident just lost passarello's my business and I am the type of person who spends thousands a year.
