This is a nice family mom&pop restaurant. The pizza dough is freshly made in house as in sauce which is good. The prices were VERY reasonable as college kids like eating there. It's order the food yourself at the counter and eat cafeteria-style so I didn't feel compelled to tip. It wasn't busy when we were there. No table service except for them cleaning the table. I had wings and they were good but I'm not a huge wing fan anyway so I cannot comment fully on those. We love Nate's Pizza! We travel from Michigan to visit family here and always have pizza here several times a week. Family misses it when we aren't here. Rode out to this place with a few motorcycle friends. Thought we'd stop by to check it out. The only positives would be the friendly service we received from the waiter. The food itself was bland. I had the Chicken Philly with fries for a total of appx $15 The chicken was bland and unseasoned and the peppers didn't have that roasted flavor you'd expect. It seemed like they just put the sandwich together put some cheese on it and ran it through the pizza oven. Just not worth $15 in my opinion. read more

I have been wanting to try this place, but it was a little out of the way until the 290 destruction project. Anyways, we ordered 2 pizzas, with different toppings and when we got home could not initially tell them apart. Not only were the toppings sparce but the actual size of the toppings were small (think 1/8 inch square ham pieces). While there was a decent amount of cheese, it basically covered the barely there sauce. Needless to say, the pizzas were bland and doughy. read more

Best pizza spot in Northern Greenville! Their menu is selectively best for family time, scout meetings out, and even for busy mom's who just like to have a low key stress free night out to skip cooking at home. It's the best when the owner is there or not. The staff are always super sweet! We haven't had a chance to enjoy the outdoor tables and sweet new area but the roadside appeal is the best! When we have the time and out-to-eat budget again our new way is to celebrate birthdays there. The freshly made meals are well thought out to include everything but the kitchen sink ;-) read more

Horrible, horrible!! I had stopped by one day after work to get myself a small pizza. About a week later, I noticed that "Nates" had over charged my credit card about 4 times, totaling about $40.00 for a small pizza which was $13.00. I drove over to "Nates" to confront the manger (owner) to show him all my charges on my bank app. He totally was defensive and asked if I had the "receipt" ( yeah right, a whole week later). I told him , I didnt and why would I be lying about scoping a free pizza or something. I mentioned to him , that he should believe his customers. I am even a local living down the road from his restaurant. He told me to go to my bank instead and let them figure it out. He did say he would research it on his end, wrote down my number to call, to let me know. HE NEVER CALLED ME. I had to call him about it. He said he found one receipt and nothing else. I told him, I would of at least appreciated a phone call, like promised. So , money focused instead of believing a 50 yr woman, who is a veteran. By the way, my bank did go ahead and reimburse me because I have been their customer for 20 years. God help us. read more

This place is GREAT. we just moved to TR and met Tammy a worker at Zaxbys and she had a Nates shirt on and we asked her where it was located and we are so glad that we did. I had the meatball sub and i enjoyed it very much. It was massive and super cheesy. The bread was crispy and meatballs were tender. Sauce was flavorful and I added peppers which was a good call. I would have given 5 stars but food was slow. Took about 30 minutes for two sandwiches and fries. My husband had the Italian sub and it had fresh veggies, lots of cheese and peppers. Someone in our party got the gluten free pizza and it was good as well. read more

i have been to Nate's a few times. I live two minutes away....I only use this place as a last resort. The food is mediocre and there always seems to be something that prevents them from either getting my order right or for them having it ready. Do yourself a favor and drive ten minutes into Travelers Rest for better food and service. read more
