I've been to Passions twice now, and have had pretty good experiences. The servers are very friendly and polite, and the seating is great and very plentiful. I think the drink prices are a bit on the high side, but the hookah is great. They do play a lot of afrobeats early in the evening, but started transitioning to r&b and hip hop as the evening went on. I didn't stay late, so it wasn't a "hype" environment, but it probably gets more so later in the night. read more

This was one of our favorite spots to listen to music and have a few drinks and hookah when we lived in Vegas. Apparently they've remodeled and it's so cute now. The music is great and the sound system is on point. We usually go before 10 for happy hour when it's more of a chill vibe. This is a late night spot so if you want to turn all the way up come closer to midnight. The service has definitely improved since our last visits. I had reservations, and they wouldn't allow anyone else in, my friend was already inside, but she and some of our associates and outside to get me, the owner (short, disrespectful, rude, musty) asshole said that he didn't care about us spending money to reserve a table, if he say that we can't get in then we won't get in. as he walked past me, he purposely bumped into me, and I went off. at the end of the day you're a man and you so called own this place but don't treat your customers with respect. The short black "wanna be hard" security guy was so rude, along with the light skinned, loud dike of a security guard that wasn't securing much at all. it's like, we can go spend our money elsewhere but choose to support this facility that don't show ANY respect. do fuckin' better, please save yall time and money! I heard about this place and wanted to try out their Happy Hour. You can't beat an $8.00 hookah at all. Upon entering we were quickly greeted and told to choose a booth. There are several booths and tables. All very modern and comfortable. The booths are private but not completely cut off from the atmosphere of the lounge. There is a space for dancing as well. Tonight they were playing R& B which was nice, at midnight they have a DJ that comes in to spin. They have a bar, and a full food menu as well. During Happy Hour they have $3.00 beers. Our hookahs were very well put together and the water fresh. We had a mint/ melon, and a vanilla/blueberry. Both were very smooth and not overwhelming. It was a great atmosphere with mainly a young adult crowd. DJ Amin played great sets with a mixture of hip and r and b infused with afrobeats. I didn't eat anything while there, but I will definitely try some of the Ethiopian dishes next time. Drinks are strong and reasonably priced. The hookah flavors were all on point. Staff were attentive to our needs and very pleasant. You must be 21 and up to enter and there is security at the door, so purses are checked and guys are patted down. The biggest disappointment of 2024. Went here with my friend during happy hour and they charged us all full price ! Then told us that the happy hour times were different. We multiple things before 11pm that we were "accidentally" charged full price for, but only gave use $6 back because he wanted to check the camaraderie first! Lastly we put an order in at 10:50 to close out happy hour the waitress didn't being the drinks until after 11 which we thought no big deal of until we received be bill! We called before we came, the owner said they take walk-ins, we get here and less than 10 minutes after the phone call he says they are closed and no longer taking in people UNLESS we pay $250 for a "table". My first time experiencing this place with a group of women (all different races) and we were not welcomed or treated kindly at all. Our waitress never came back to check on us, we always had to flag her down when in need of something. She argued with us when we told her she bought the wrong food item to our table the first time. The only time we saw her pass our table was to pick up our cups and plates EVEN WHEN WE WERE NOT DONE WITH OUR FOOD OR DRINKS. She rushed our table through the night and asked if we needed a to go box for SALAD. We noticed that we were not important to her because we were not her regulars. Then she told us that she will not split our bill at all and that we needed to zelle one another. The waitress looked at my friend sitting with us and said "Am I not speaking English" which was a very ill comment to make knowing that my other friends and I were a different race than Ethiopian. We then asked her for assistance from another waitress or manager. She informed us that a manager was not available when clearly the manager was walking around the whole night.. The manager didn't seem to care at all when we informed her of the poor customer service we were given from the waitress. We explained to the manager our experience from that whole night was not great and that this was our first time here. We informed the manager about the ill comment that was made to us from the waitress, she then apologized to us and offered us drinks to compensate us. We thanked her but didn't take the offer. It was definitely prejudgement all around, starting from the security at the front door telling us how much we have to pay to sit down to get a table before he even did his actual job which was to check IDs and bags. read more

Service beyond slow, took 20 mins to get a beer and one shot, and extra 30 min to get a hookah. The music is NOT diverse at all. I love afro beats however a wedding party from Ethiopia came in tonight and the DJ literally ONLY catered to them. The DJ told us he's playing this music because they reserved and section and were celebrating however being that we are patronizing a local business the music and service shouldn't be selective. So for almost two hours we listened to Ethiopian music only no variations on between, whole vibe completely ruined. We had to remind them twice not only that but we ordered hummus at the same time and it has been over an hour! still not out!
