My sister and I tried their red velvet waffle-- this also has chocolate chips in it. If you like red velvet and waffles, you'll like it just fine. You just dont like red velvet waffles if you dont like it and that's fine too. I got the wintermelon milk tea which tastes similar to other milk teas so a simple/easy pick. My sister got the mint chocolate shake which I would say is on the watery side? Not necessarily bad, but the texture was not what you would expect of a shake. I would not order that again unless I specifically wanted that taste. There is an outlet along one wall beside one two-seater table, so I would not bank on being able to get access to one here if that's what you'd like. I ordered the Wintermelon Basil Seed with Grass Jelly Specialty and thought it tasted really good. However, my dislike was the baby scoop of grass jelly which wasn't that much at all and was very disappointing. So for your drinks to look "full", 3 toppings would need to be enough to suffice, subjectively. With 1 person working the shop and handling the drinks, we didn't wait very long to receive our order, which was great. Roomy place for a hang out or to just grab a drink and go. I took my lady to get a hair cut from some place in this plaza. I saw this little business next to it. Passion T Snacks & Deserts so I decided to Yelp it out and see what they are all about. Look at my pictures. The place is small and clean and easy to park. Nobody was in at the time I went in. The employee was a nice young girl that helped me with a Coconut Ice cream and waffle cone. Today, I took pictures of the menu to update what I had previously posted and noticed my previous review is no longer around. This tea bar is hidden in a small plaza with a laundromat at the front and is located across the street from Costco. You can easily drive past it, so if you approach the DMV, then you've passed it. In general, the location of this tea bar is perfect for the local businesses that are within the Senter strip. It is an easy drive and quick walk for many I, including myself. My coworkers and I come here often and would order online ahead of time so that pick-up would be quick. There are a large variety of drinks and snacks that are both sweet & savory. The prices are pretty comparable with other tea bars, though just slightly less than the more popular tea bars like Tastea/Pekoe/R&B/TapEx, etc, and the quantity is much smaller for the pricing. The drink orders are always correct, and the percentage of sweet level is pretty consistent. The popcorn chicken, gizzards, and calamari heads are top choices for my coworkers and I, though we had ordered garlic noodles, shrimps, tofu, and pandan waffles before. The popcorn chicken and calamari heads are cooked in a light batter with light seasoning. The chicken is more flavorful than the calamari heads and is pretty moist. The gizzards are pretty flavorful and have a good crunch. The tofu could be cut smaller and fried crispier as the texture is still very soft even after dipped in a batter and fried. The pandan waffle is not too bad but light in sweet, so you can't really taste it if you're drinking boba and eating it at the same time. I can't comment on the other snacks as I have not tried it. Overall, the way they cook these snacks are very consistent. I've never had anything over cooked or burnt. However, the spice level is not always consistent when you order a snack with a "spicy" level as it always tastes mild. The reason I know is I have coworkers who can't eat too spicy and so they are able to eat it saying "it's not spicy at all". Recently, a couple of weeks ago , I ordered 2 orders of popcorn chicken. Instead of making 2 separate orders, it was combined. I'm not sure why they did that. When I inquired about it, they went and split the large box to 2 small boxes , and then the portions looked very little after. I didn't realize this until returning to the office, so it was too late to say anything. Furthermore, they always bag the drinks with the hot snacks, which then melts the ice in the drinks. Service has always been quick and ready for pick up when I order online ahead of time. Staff are friendly and know what they're doing. The tea bar is clean and has about 10 tables. I would suggest considering taking the orders as is and not "assume" or changing the customer's order to what you think it is. And lastly, pls bag the food separate from the drinks. read more

Cute little shop located in a strip mall. The store itself had a nice modern (albeit bright) interior. It was spotless on the day we visited. The lady manning the counter was super friendly and efficent. Popcorn Chicken: nicely fried bits of chicken that had a good crunch and good breading to meat ratio. The sauce added a nice punch. The hot here is not that very hot. For reference to my palate it was about the same as a Medium at Dave's Hot Chicken which made its presence felt but did not overwhelm the chicken. I do like that you can taste the GT in which some places just taste like syrup and water when you and for less sweet. - The calamari was disgusting. $9 for Calamari Heads I was expecting Calamari Heads but instead got a couple squid bodies. They sell a lot of fun snacks as well like popcorn chicken or egg rolls. The kumquat part of the tea tasted more like lemon to me. They have more fruit tea options without milk than milk tea ones. The prices are fair. They played EDM-style dance music. Drinks were made promptly. The bad: There's no outdoor seating. The interesting: They have a claw machine inside with cute boba plushies. If you ask for less ice, they'll still add the same amount of liquid so there'll just be a gap in the cup where the ice was meant to be. They sell juices and sodas too. Since it was kinda hot today, my partner and I decided to swing by Passion T to get some shaved ice. We were disappointed that there wasn't shaved ice available anymore, but we were fortunately able to cool down with some milk tea and tea! I usually like their Wintermelon Special! I adjusted it to 75% and less ice (makes me feel like I get more tea than ice ) and it didn't disappoint! The toppings were spot on, as the basil seeds and black jelly made the drink even more refreshing! My partner got the butterfly pea lemonade kumquat tea, which had a beautiful purple hue on the top and a mellow yellow bottom. Upon shaking the tea, the colors mixed and made a lovely blush pink color (not pictured). He likes that his drink also came with crystal boba! We got my sister the dirt tea as that's something she wanted to try from Passion T. Hopefully it's not as disappointing as others have claimed for it to be. From the cute wall decorations to the starry lights, the place was brimming with a photogenic vibe. I ordered a brown sugar fresh milk (#8) and thought it was unremarkable. They are allowing customers inside their store but I am not sure of how many. Of course, masks are required and there is hand sanitizer available. I arrived in the time frame of when my order was supposed to be done. However, my order got mixed up or lost because when I arrived it wasn't ready and the employees asked for my receipt. Every boba place is "a real hidden gem" but this place is actually a hidden gem, because it's in the middle of a sketchy Vietnamese strip mall (I'm Viet, it's okay for me to say that!) but serves up some intensely good boba AND food). Their boba menu is pretty standard, with a couple of caveats: -they have a ton of add-ons! fruit bits, strawberry bits, kiwi bits, passion fruit popping boba, lychee popping boba, mango, strawberry, and even rainbow(?) jelly, you name it. a lot of their specialty drinks tend to lean towards these fruit flavored teas, but I also got the First Date (black tea w/ milk + boba) and it was a perfectly good drink as well. All their drinks hover around $5 (less than average) with extra cost for toppings ($0.60, more than average), but their boba will always be a must-add for me because... -their boba is great! obviously this is a preference thing but it's not too soft (like K-Cafe) and it's not too firm (like iTea). it's got a good chew but doesn't hurt your jaw. Overall, a great medium. -their popcorn. chicken. is. THE BEST. It's INCREDIBLY flavorful, out of all the "dry" popcorn chickens, this one is probably the most flavorful in East San Jose. The pieces are nice and crispy without losing that delicious thigh-meat texture, and it's served with basil which will be nice and wilted at the end of your drive back home (no in-store dining right now, obviously!). My only gripe is that it's a little bit small for $6, but to me, the GREAT flavor compensates for it completely. overall a delicious boba place in the somewhat out-of-the-way Senter/Fairgrounds area. wow! boba for the third day in the row? the best way to kick off a new year. of course another day, another new boba tea shop to try out! walking in the shop it is nicely decorated and has a cute christmas tree decorated for the holidays. sunkissed; (8.5/10) a strawberry and lychee green tea that normally comes with lychee jelly but i substituted it out for crystal boba. i got it with zero sweetness pretty typical of me. you can taste the green tea itself. i do wish the drink had more of a strawberry flavor but i would get this drink again. kumquat butterfly pea tea; (9/10) this is my first time ever having a drink with butterfly pea tea which practically makes any drink aesthetically pleasing. the kumquat juice has a strong taste that comes through well. i did not know what to expect from this drink because like how i mentioned earlier first time having butterfly pea tea. second, this is my first time having a drink with kumquat and maybe kumquat in general. we did get this drink quarter sweet which to me tasted a tad on the sweeter side to me. we also substituted the crystal boba for honey boba. i love the atmosphere inside and the friendliness that the staff bring when helping customers. the shop is located somewhat close to other boba shops in little saigon and i think it is worth the couple extra miles of driving. read more

I could definitely see why other yelpers rated this establishment 4 stars! I first saw Passion T browsing on Doordash. I checked out their menu and really liked that they offer hot milk teas on the doordash app. I was hesitant on dashing hot milk tea though, so I came to check this place out myself. I ordered the dark oolong milk tea with coffee jelly and a pandan coconut waffle. Dark Oolong (5/5): I ordered the hot drink with 75% sweetness and it came out too sweet, which was my fault. I will def get half sweet next time! Other than the sweetness, the tea itself is pretty good. You can still taste the dark oolong tea and the milk isn't overpowering the tea. Pandan Coconut Waffle (3/5): I'm not fan of super thick waffles because they always end up way too dry and this one was a bit dry for sure. The pandan flavor was very light and I didn't really taste the coconut bits. The serving size was pretty big though, so if you're hungry and want something to munch on with your milk tea, give it a try! I have been sleeping on this place! I had this place bookmarked for so long, I decided to finally check it out. I tried their wintermelon tea with milk foam with less ice and less sweet and my bf had their dark roasted oolong tea with milk foam with less ice and less sweet. I love that they let you adjust sweetness on wintermelon!! I usually get my wintermelon tea from gongcha and they don't allow for sweetness adjustments. The wintermelon tea was perfect. My bf's dark roasted oolong was really dark, which helped it taste strong which he liked. The prices are so cheap too compared to other places! About $3-4 a cup here. They do offer lots of food items here too. Waffles, egg rolls, popcorn chicken, etc. This place goes down as one of my favorite new tea places. I will be back :) read more
