When your mom makes you go to your second Outdoor Supply Hardware (OSH) in a day to look at sun umbrellas, take a break at this little gem! R&B tea not only has the boba that my wife loves (not my personal jam), they have a delightful affogato that just hits the spot before you have to pick up your toddler from daycare! Great spot. Many people visited this place today! There was a promo that was buy 2 drinks, get a free soft serve. I took advantage of this deal. I ordered from the kiosk. I appreciated that there was signage to signify the kiosk is for card orders and cash orders are at the cash register area. I needed help because the listed promo code did not go through, but the staff was able to help me right away to make sure the promo code would work. It did which made me appreciative. To start off, this is one of my more favored boba chains. I used to love going to the location near my college in Fullerton. I think for this chain specifically, I appreciate how it's not overtly sweet and there is a milder sense of flavor that is classy. I used to love the brown rice milk tea and cereal milk tea that I unfortunately don't believe is available at this location. :( For this location, I really liked how bright the interior was and it looked super clean! The boba quality is always consistently good but like I mentioned before, I don't believe it's the best boba I've ever had but this chain would definitely be a top ten for me. The service was standard, the staff were super accommodating and nice. There was not much to go off on as the hand off was a super efficient and quick process and we ordered on the kiosk instead of at the register. read more

Went to R&B Tea for the first time today with my Sister for Mother's Day to fulfill my boba crazy. Walking in I was amazed at how bright and welcoming the space was. I especially liked the artificial plants on the tables. Like most places now, they have screens that you can order from that were easy to use and pictures of the drinks to make it easy to choose. My only complaint about them is that they were in a corner that were kind of hard to get to due to the table set up. I ordered a Thai Tea with brown sugar boba and it was really good. With this place so close to home, I'm excited to come back and try more off the menu. read more

I stopped by R&B Tea for their National Boba Day promotion and found the staff to be incredibly friendly and efficient. My friend and I ended up ordering 10 drinks total, which earned us 2 very cute and stylish canvas bags! It was a fun way to celebrate the occasion and the quick service was much appreciated. As for the drinks, I tried the Devil's Booster and the Hawaiian Black Tea. Unfortunately, the Devil's Booster was quite watered down this time and a bit of a disappointment. On the other hand, the Hawaiian Black Tea was solid and pretty flavorful. My only real critique is that I wish the staff spent a little more time shaking the drinks so the flavors were fully incorporated. read more

We tried some drink and snacks from this location. The jasmine milk tea was pretty decent, not too sweet. However, the snacks were... not good. We ordered the popcorn chicken, which was weirdly cut into square pieces that look like fried tofu. It would have been fine if it tasted good. The mozzarella cheese sticks were not great either. We came here after eating at the restaurant next door. The tea at the restaurant wasn't good so we tried this spot. We were pleasantly surprised there was a clean and elegant tea shop next to the restaurant. Very quiet and there was people working on their laptops. Our orders were taken quickly and accurately by the cashier. They also had self service kiosks next to the main cashier. More importantly, the tea tasted fantastic. I'm giving one star for having lots of options on their menu and one star for having a clean restroom. Today I went to R&B Tea with some friends to hang out since they have a lot of options for drinks. I saw a big sign with their BOGO promo for their summer drinks, and wanted to order the hibiscus lychee drink. Well, guess what? You can't order it! I tried ordering on the kiosk first, and it wasn't even on the menu, so I went to ask the worker. She explained that you have to order the hibiscus drink to get the hibiscus lychee drink. (Did any of my friends want the hibiscus drink? No. Did I feel like wasting an entire drink? No.) Pretty lame promo if you ask me! Anyway, so I ended up getting the peach yakult instead. My husband got a watermelon drink. Two friends got the strawberry yakult. One friend got a potato corn dog. One friend got garlic fries. Everything was pretty disappointing. Potato corn dog was too small. Garlic fries were meh. All the drinks had way too much ice. The ice was also a weird size where it was small enough to fit into your boba straw yet too big and chunky, so we were drinking and spitting out ice the entire time. My husband didn't finish his drink. Overall, lots of choices for snacks and drinks here, but quality is definitely below average. :( read more

Found this place for dessert after dinner in San Jose while we were waiting for someone. The drinks here was delicious. I got the Hawaiian fruit black tea and it was delicious. The drink was huge. Felt like it was a 32oz cup or something. For the price it was worth it. Cheaper than most boba shop and the drink was huge. The drink was order with half sweet and it was perfect. It has lots of flavor and not sweet which was perfect for me. Ran in to ask them if they had the bottle still for the "buy 3 get a bottle free" promo and the girl said yes we have one left, and mind you we are the only one ordering at the moment. So we ordered 3 drinks and snacks! Came out and the girl said sorry no more bottles because it's only while supplies last. I said you literally told me that you had one left that's why ordered 3 drinks and now you're saying you're sold out? The hell! There was one on display left so since it's the last day of the promo, wouldn't it make sense to give it to me? All she could say was sorry but it's only for display. SMH! Then here comes the worst part. I ordered their Hawaiian Tea (which comes with assortment of fruits at the location on story) and it came out with exactly one piece or watermelon and a damn slice of lemon. The popcorn chicken had super little pieces! Hella stingy here for paying at this price! Will never come back to this place. (I totally didn't hear my number.) They have a few tables and counter seating facing the parking lot. We managed to grab a table by the kiosks since we were catching up. The toppings were good. The boba soft and chewy. The grass jelly silky. The coffee jelly firm and springy. The tea could have been stronger tho. With roasted oolong, I normally get that malty flavor. This was lacking in that. Otherwise, I liked how the toppings didn't make the tea too sweet. Yeah, I'm weird. I seriously just want a strong tea with toppings. No milk, no added sugar. Just left this spot, picked up the Hawaiian fruit tea with popcorn chicken. The tea is usually good and the service is good. However my rating is based off the popcorn chicken. This is not your traditional popcorn chicken at any other milk tea spot. This is two chicken patties, fried up, cut and topped with basil and full garlic cloves. This is the worse attempt of popcorn chicken I have ever witnessed. It's basically $7 for some chicken nuggets. Stay away from this item unless you want to overpay, just go to the Wendy's in the same plaza for nuggets. read more

The house coffee is always my go to drink, but the Hawaiian Black Tea, it was my first time trying it. It was fantastic, refreshing, especially in the 100 degree heat today! ** visited on 7/4/2024 I had ordered on DoorDash to pick up 2 drinks. The staff was incredibly nice and was so kind despite handling several orders and having only 2 staff in the front. The store is pretty spacious for a boba shop, and there were plenty of seating there. I prefer coming to this location since the staff tends to be much kinder and puts a lot more care into making your drink. * be sure to order on the kiosk if you're doing card/apple pay and order with a staff member only if you're paying with cash. OKAY THE DRINKS: My usual order from R&B is their Hawaiian black tea, however their Wintermelon tea was the perfect drink during this heat wave. Established in 2006.

Bruce, the founder of R&B Tea, came to Suzhou, China in 2005. At that time, he was working in the IT industry. The heavy work load and high pressure constantly made Bruce think of and crave for delicious food and different beverages, especially the tea from his homeland, Taiwan. Despite going places and trying different types that were available, his cravings weren't satisfied because it was hard to find good quality milk tea in Suzhou then. Seeing this gap in the market led Bruce to identify an opportunity where he made a life-changing decision. Bruce decided to start a business by himself, offering various tea beverages concocted with ingredients of the highest quality. Through his perseverance and determination, the first tea outlet was opened in Suzhou in 2006. That's how and when the R&B Tea story began!

The Thai milk tea, even at 75% sugar and with added double shots, tasted watered down and lacked the rich tea flavor I expected. The honey boba was equally disappointing, with little to no noticeable honey flavor despite being marketed as such. The popcorn chicken was crispy, but I specifically ordered mild seasoning and received something that was noticeably spicy. If you're sensitive to spice, be aware that their definition of "mild" may differ from yours. What disappointed me just as much as the food was the service. There were three young employees working behind the counter who appeared far more engaged in conversations with each other than interacting with customers. There was no greeting, no welcoming atmosphere, and no effort to explain or recommend items from their menu. For a first-time customer, the experience felt indifferent and uninterested. The gaming kiosk tables are unique and appear to be a major feature of the business. However, I left with the impression that much of what customers are paying for is the gaming setup rather than the quality of the food, drinks, or service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. There are many other boba shops and popcorn chicken spots that offer better flavor, better value, and better customer service at similar or lower prices. Given my visit, the numerous glowing reviews don't reflect the experience I received. I came in expecting a highly rated destination and left wondering if the ratings are based more on the gaming tables than the food and drinks themselves.

Not really a display cooking kind of counter, but they do do all of that in the front where the cashiers are. You are able to watch if you so choose. Location is not the best as it is right in a smaller plaza on the side of Story Road near the 101 freeway. At least they chose an area that is slightly less saturated. Vietnam Town is really close by and they really do have too much going on over there sometimes. Parking lot is also small, but it seems to work well with the smaller plaza size.

They are pre-made and stored in a glass case, unlike other places like Modo Hawaii that make them when you order. The donuts come in a nice box. They are large and dense and chewy, but weren't to my taste as I like them smaller and lighter, but that's just a personal preference. I'm not sure if I will go back, but I hope they do well at the Cottle location.

I love that R&B Tea at Silver Creek is so close to work! I ordered the strawberry matcha using their easy-to-use kiosk, which made the whole process quick and convenient, including payment.
