D7 - Mashed Avocado with Jellies
    Karl G.

Stopped by Hien Khanh Dakao after a satisfying cơm tấm dinner nearby. We were craving something refreshing, and chè was the perfect Vietnamese dessert to end the night. Service was fairly quick for a Sunday evening. - Mashed Avocado with Jellies -- fresh avocado with green pandan jelly, red and dark jellies, and coconut milk. While I'm usually a fan of avocado-based desserts, this one wasn't quite cold enough for my taste. There was some ice, but not enough to fully chill the drink. The avocado pieces were large and more chunky than mashed. That said, the jellies at the bottom added a nice texture and worked well with the creamy coconut milk There are a few tables inside, and we saw a larger group enjoying their chè while catching up. The space is cozy but thoughtfully decorated with floral touches and warm wood accents, giving it a clean, modern feel. Overall, a relaxing spot to grab Vietnamese desserts. I might skip the avocado next time, but I'm definitely curious to try their piña colada or strawberry princess smoothies on my next visit.

Craving Che so we stopped by here. There was only one employee working on a Tuesday night around 7:30pm. God we ordered s4. Total came out to be $9.24 with tips. The drink is supposed to be $7.25. We ordered at 7:41 pm and our drink came out at 7:55. It's a bit slow bc there was only 1 order ahead of ours but I think it's because there was only 1 employee that's why it took a while. It made me so anxious bc my infant is crying in the car with my husband bc mommy had to get this to void the craving. The spot is cute and there are parking in the front. Our drink is 25% sweet and less ice. Thank god it was good bc that was a long wait.

This little after dinner dessert place is thumbs up. Couple of friends and i came near closing time to get something sweet. It's a small inside space, but had a few tables and chairs. They also had sitting space outdoors. The cashier and the rest of the team were helpful. Since it was my first time there, they were able to make suggestions. They never once rushed us out, just did what they needed to do inorder to leave on time. Good evening spot to get come drinks and chè.

I've been craving vietnamese desserts for a long time so I have been waiting for the day I could come here! I got the D1 Special rainbow / che dac biet with less ice and 0% sugar. Don't worry, it is still sweet! Especially since it was so hot today as soon as I took the first sip it tasted like the best thing in the world. There are several small tables so you can definitely sit there and hang out. The lady at the counter was also very patient and friendly! Can't wait to come back

Stopped by Hien Khanh Dakao and had a great experience. The drinks were refreshing and delicious, and the service was quick and welcoming. Everything felt smooth and efficient--would come back again.

A newly added dessert drink spot in Vietnam Town, so of course I had to check it out. It's a small corner location with limited seating, but you can place your order either at the self-service kiosk or directly with the staff up front. Be sure to double-check your sweetness level when ordering. We asked for 75% sweetness but received 25% instead.. and didn't realize until taking off. Not sure if it was a mix-up or miscommunication with the staff. The drinks looked super appealing when they came out, but unfortunately, the taste didn't quite match the presentation. I'd still be open to coming back to give it another shot, making sure to clearly confirm my sweetness preference next time.

A great place for Vietnamese desserts! I usually order their sugar cane drink but this time I ordered D5 (with fresh durian). If you're not a fan of durian, skip this review. I felt like this dessert tased great, the durian ice cream was not overpowering at all. It paired well altogether. You will need to try it yourself.

Unique variety of drinks options available. They have an actual sit down shop with food options, then next door is more of a quick order to go with solely just drink options. I ordered the dragon fruit tea and white jelly. Couldn't really taste the dragon fruit, more of the green tea flavor, and the white jelly was a bit weird, it didn't really have a taste, was more like shredded coconut without that flavor. I wish they gave you an option to adjust the ice and sweet level, as mine could have used more ice and it was a bit too sweet for me.

I think I have probably stopped by this place at least 4 or 5 times already. They have this Neat indoor and outdoor seatings area where it is nice to chill out with family and Friends. I had ordered Che Desserts, Fresh Tea and Boba Drinks. Their Menu is very Simple. Prices a bit High but my friends and I enjoy coming here. Small but Cute Store. May05,2025

I was visiting with my brother and sister-in-law and the Grand Century Mall Shopping plaza was open today on Xmas. We already had lunch, but I wanted some sort of dessert option afterwards. They recommended this place, so we decided to go. Space is a bit limited inside, but there is a lot outside. You can order either on the kiosk or with a worker. Durian Smoothie: It's a bit rare for me to find this back in the east Bay Area using fresh durian, so I was happy to give this drink a try. I know you either love or hate durian, and I love it. The color in the computer is a bit deceiving, since it appears more yellow, but the flavor was all there. It comes with foam, durian fruit and milk. Rather simple and straightforward. For those who like durian, this is a good smoothie drink. It was not too sweet (50%) and had the flavors of durian in every sip. I added pearls mainly for texture, and it was delicious. Overall, I can see myself coming back here again

The good: Today was their grand opening. They had flowers and lots of backdrops for photo opportunities. They also were doing a raffle. I tried a salty coconut water drink with kumquat and a soursop kumquat tea drink. Both were refreshing and had chunks of fruit inside. They have outside covered dining areas to enjoy your drink. Drinks were around $7 each. They sell smoothies, che (Vietnamese desserts), tea and coffee (coconut coffee, salted coffee). The bad: I wanted to order the ginger honey chrysanthemum kumquat tea but they didn't have it an available. It was hard to drink when my small straw kept sucking up soursop chunks. A boba straw would've been better so I could eat the chunks. Our order took quite awhile to get. There were no tables inside to sit at but they did have a bench inside. The interesting: This location was formerly the banh kep place (Nước Mía Vien Đông). The former Hien Khanh Dakao place was in the Grand Century Mall food court. I'm unsure if the former spot is still there. You order at the counter but pickup left of the counter toward the left of the space.

Yes, authentic and good Vietnamese desserts and beverages here. It's on the higher price bracket for smaller sized cups of hot desserts/dessert beverages/milk tea/smoothies, but excellent service and cute little store with lots of chairs inside & outside. Comfortable place to chill out. You can find much cheaper prices elsewhere, but this corner spot in Vietnam Town is very convenient. Felt spacious with high ceilings inside. Order at front counter or at kiosk. I ordered the three colors dessert beverage $8 and the classic jasmine milk tea $6.50. Yes, the cup size is smaller than what I would normally get elsewhere for the same price, but at 50% sweetness, their items here are still delicious and good. Cashier speaks mainly Vietnamese, so her English may be a bit difficult to understand at times, especially when she asks you which type tea you want for the classic milk tea: jasmine green tea, black tea, etc. Overall, nice little spot with huge window which brings in natural lights. All positive. I just wish their prices would come down to at least $0.50-$1 each. Not bad for small businesses though. Very clean here.

Enter through the front entrance of the Grand Century Mall, turn left and make your way down the hall to the food court. Among the colorful array of food shops, is a bright green shop that is Nuoc Mia Ninh Kieu where a silvery machine to the left is seen squeezing out sugarcane juice! I shouldn't say that I hate carrots -- that's unbecoming of me -- but I strongly dislike carrots. This is one of the only ways I would enjoy carrots: nuoc mia ca-rot! I rarely order anything else from here but I would encourage you to explore their menu and come back for more! Nuoc mia ca-rot has a wonderful blend of mild earthiness of the carrot and the grassy undertones of sweetness from the sugarcane. It takes the edge off of what would otherwise be a very sweet drink! I would much prefer nuoc mia over boba milk tea (particularly on hot, summer days!). Sugarcane juice is a bit pricey here, but I chalk it up to this is a specialty shop just for nuoc mia which lends a certain nostalgia for Vietnam. There are versions of the drink here that you can't get anywhere else. If you want to experience a taste of Vietnamese culture, Nuoc Mia Ninh Kieu is a great place to start! Try them out!

Ninh Kieu is pretty well-known for their fresh pressed sugarcane juice (made when you order!!) and also got a bunch of specialty healthy juice combos. I went on a Saturday around lunch time and it wasn't too busy, waited like 5 mins for two drinks. My all-time go-to is the OG sugarcane juice with kumquat... soooo refreshing, sweet with that little citrus kick, just hits every time. I also brought my bestie with me and it was her first time trying sugarcane juice ever, and she loves strawberry so I got her that flavor... tell me why she got OBSESSED. She literally finished the whole thing in 30 mins and was still talking about it 2 days later saying she was craving it again lol. Price is pretty average compared to other spots, nothing crazy, but the quality is always consistent and fresh which I appreciate.

It's my first time at this location and there's plenty of parking right outside. The store is so spacious. There were people studying and playing card games. Perfect place to sit and yapp where it's not overwhelming. It was a vibe in there and it's super clean as well. We easily ordered on the kiosk. There were so many great options to choose from. It was a Wednesday and Devin and I were looking to make it a productive work day. We stopped by later in the afternoon. There is ample seating but most of the booths were occupied when we arrived so we sat at a table. Club music was being played loudly so working here would not be ideal if you have to present in meetings. The tropical paradise fruit tea would've been better with a topping or two, but in an attempt to cut down on calories consumed I've began getting drinks without toppings. Unfortunately fruit tea without toppings is just not the same, but this was totally my choice and on me. The WiFi worked well. There are some outlets under the booths but none at the tables. I've been to other Rose Tea Lounge locations and I'd say that this one is definitely more club-like than others. Not the ideal place to work remotely by any means, but that's not to say that the drinks are bad or ambiance is poor. If you're looking to chat and catch up with friends, this spot would be a good choice.
