A new boba place that opened up and had to try it out! They had so many options to choose from and I had trouble deciding, but I ended up getting Dalgona Coffee. I will say though that their menu was a little confusing. I saw on their decaf section that they had some kind of milk tea, so I asked the owner what tea they used to make it decaf. They said there was no tea as it was just going to be milk. I understood what they meant but was confused as to why it would say tea. I think they should tweak their names just a little so that it wouldn't be confusing for customers looking for decaf drinks. Dalgona Coffee(4/5): The drink was not what I was expecting. It wasn't as strong of a coffee taste and the soy was pretty prominent in the drink. The dalgona cream tasted pretty nutty and the size of the cup was interesting compared to the price. This lady was giving out coupons, and those definitely lured me in to getting that bogo deal lol. The menu was literally the largest thing I ever seen for a boba store, and that's only for DRINKS. They have other food items like waffles, açaí bowls, bingsu, ice cream, macaron, and steam buns. You want something? This place will prob have what you want. This is one HUGE menu. Anyways, basically at a quickly's level for drinks (sugar water). Interestingly enough, the quicklys at Eastridge still gets a decent amount of traffic which I assume to be due to being next to what is usually the main entrance people use. This one, is located underneath the food court/theatres over by the Daiso and AVIS rentals and will probably suffer from regular foot traffic. Ambiance - 4/5 Pretty nice, well lit, decent tables & bar seating. Definitely a plus considering half the wood-tables in the food court are sticky. Nation Milk Tea - 1/5 Okay... so... I already knew it might not be great as any store that has probably 100 options is *not* going to be able to make things to order/fresh (e.g. Syrup based). But first, I got 50% sugar, and it is still very sweet, they definitely need a 25% option instead of 0-50-100. Any kind of tea flavor is lost in the sweetness. Cheeseburger Bao - 2/5 , Not really sure where the cheese was, pictures are extremely misleading. Could definitely have been heated a lot hotter as the inside was barely passable as warm. The inside reminded me of sloppy joe meat, which I guess was good, hence it's a plus. Pricing is horrendous, $6.50 for one Bao is embarrassing when you go to Dim Sum and can get a 2-3 pack for the same price even for the high-end places. Matcha Milk Tea - 1.5/5 There is a bit of an sour aftertaste which kind of ruined the drink. The color itself was also fairly darker green bordering brownish hues for what I consider a matcha drink so I'm assuming it's of lower quality than most other boba shops. I just saw that they responded to someone else about this and that they actually source their "Matcha" powder from Taiwan. This will probably not be a good choice for any matcha lovers as it's already non-authentic. Boba 3/5 - Boba is hit or miss. First time I came it was overwhelmingly overcooked and the second time was pretty decent with only a few pieces being a problem. After coming back a second time, and seeing that they advertise their cups as 16 oz, I had to go check again. A basically filled to the top cup gets 15.5 oz on my scale, but as any boba person knows, that is never going to happen as the higher its filled, the chances of the seal messing up goes up hence, calling it 16 oz may not be the best choice. The 16 oz cups I have from other places hold up to ~18 to account for this. Terrible set up, why are the self-order kiosks directly in front of the cashier (e.g. if the cashier is taking orders none of the kiosks can be used). Overall, come if you want a dessert/drink pick me up that is super sweet for your sweet tooth, but definitely don't come for an authentic boba experience. All three boba options in Eastridge still pale in comparison to what the rest of the bay offers. read more

located on the bottom floor of the food court inside eastridge mall. my family and i were just strolling and heading over to Daiso and i saw their extensive menus of boba. i was about to pass until i saw wine on their menu. that peaked my interest! it's not a boba form, but can surely add boba if you like. i got the spicy strawberry rose slush. oh it hit the spot. it was delicious and you can surely taste the rose. my sister decided to order a strawberry bingsu and we ordered a strawberry matcha as well. in order to order the wine slush you have to order with someone and not on tablet. so make sure you ring that bell for that service. prompt service and after you order they'll call your name to pick it up. the guy who helped me was pretty nice and he wanted my honest opinion of the rose slush. he freaked out a bit that i added my sisters strawberry puree to my slush and wanted to make sure that i knew it was meant for the bingsu. she didn't want it so i added it to my slush and it made it a bit sweeter. which was fine cause i love strawberry anyways and after a couple of sip, i think it needed that and probably a bit more tajin if they were calling it a spicy strawberry. it took over the little spot where the thai food or cambodian food was at so the space was small but it had some seating areas. very bright area. gave me feel of the 80s diner feel to it. i'll probably come back to try more of their wine selections so i can't wait to see which one i like more! read more

Final Thoughts: 1.50/5 At this time, I am currently struggling to give this boba spot another star. New boba spot in Eastridge Mall. I'm aware that opening a business is no easy feat, but this was just my experience and overall thoughts with all things considered. Drinks: 1. Super Juice: 2.4/5 Many aspects of this juice leads me to believe it's not made fresh to order. For them to prepare and press juice within minutes with all other chaos that happens in a kitchen seems unrealistic. This item seems like that of Naked Juices - They're very thick and questionably sweet. Sweetness level was quite high for an item that shows to only have fruits and vegetables included. My only indication of this being "fresh" is that the beverage had some oxidation and separation happening. Regarding the temperature of the beverage, it was about room temperature. I appreciate that they provided me with a full cup of juice with no ice, howsoever, this makes the juice slightly less desirable to drink. I would have appreciated it if the drink was just shaken in ice too, but it was just warm. Regarding the flavor, there are only 2 items out of their list that I can pinpoint. What I tasted was the celery and my friend tasted the apple. 2. Matcha Milk Tea with Honey Boba: 2.3/5 First impression - Seems to be of lower quality matcha. The color is interesting and there's no aroma to it. The green color is very dull and lacks a vibrant hue. High quality matcha has a fairly distinct scent that's grassy and vegetal to which this drink did not provide. Flavor wise was average, but there was something about it that was not smooth and desirable on my palate. Side notes: -- While I love versatility, there comes to a point where it becomes overwhelming. This can work well for other people. For me, however, I'm an indecisive person in general, so for this menu to provide and showcase well over 100 items was not very ideal for me. -- Something that we noticed was that each order is not labeled by anything upon ordering and delivery. With a large crowd, it is recommended that they provide an alternative way for their customers to hear or see that their drink is ready at the counter. Labels are not provided on the cup. As this process goes, if you didn't hear your drink upon the first call, you might be getting a watered-down beverage if it ever arrives to you. No number was provided to me after ordering either. I chose not to receive a receipt today because when am I going to have to prove that I bought 2 drinks? -- Kiosk machines appear to be made to increase efficiency and help move traffic along. While they were provided here, they were placed in front of the cashier. That seems to defeat the purpose of one of the two - The cashier working or the kiosk themselves. --------- Quality: Suboptimal With this amount of items provided on a menu, I start to question the quality of items being provided. Ultimately, my question is are these items truly fresh, made to order, and high quality. Fresh ingredients need to consistently be replenished because of their shorter shelf life and that leads to a whole list of concerns that I have. I digress though because I only have 5000 characters here. The area also doesn't seem large enough to store all of these "fresh" items. From my observations, looks like syrups are used and ready-made items are provided for convenience's sake. Price: Expensive These prices hmmm...not ideal. For both items above, I paid $16. With this kind of price, I am expecting nothing less of excellency, but what I was provided was very underwhelming. After reviewing the menu, all items are quite expensive. With regards to quality and price, alternative shops and cafes are recommended. Ambiance: Cozy They are located inside of a mall, so there's going to be some noise in the background. It's in a nice cozy corner right next to Daiso, which seems to be a plus here. Some seating space, but definitely not ideal for seating the crowd presented today. Location/Parking: Fair Located inside of Eastridge Mall. Hmm this mall seems smaller in comparison to other malls now and the traffic has definitely decreased in certain areas of this place. Still enough people going back and forth. Again, small corner away from the shops, so it's cozy. Parking doesn't seem to be a concern here unless you're adamant in parking close or if there's an event happening within the area. read more

This boba place just opened in Eastridge mall a day ago and I am surprised how it is not packed yet. From the photos provided, their menu has A LOT of options varying from teas to milk shakes to fruity drinks and even alcohol drinks for the adults. We ordered the taro milk which we originally asked for half sweet. The owner actually came out and personally gave us a sample of 50% sweetness and regular sweetness. He wanted our input to see which one we liked the most because he did mention that the lighter sweetness will alter the taste. The regular sweetness made the taro milk very creamy and smooth. Compared to the 50% sweetness which was a thinner consistency, yet still very smooth down the throat. Even at regular sweetness, it wasn't too sweet to the point it tasted like straight up sugar. It a very nice taro taste that didn't overpower the sweetness. The cookies and cream shake was also very delicious. A bit sweet but we didn't mind it. It tasted a McFlurry which we LOVE mcflurries. It was basically a McFlurry without the freezer burn. Honestly this place is worth the price. Two drinks came out to $13. This place will definitely be my new go to if im at eastridge mall. Super super disappointed. So when I got her I said wow they have so many different flavors of drinks that's amazing. We ordered the cotton candy drink, the bubblegum drink, I ordered the birthday cake waffle and a strawberry bingsu. It wasn't busy we ordered about 640. At 7:05 the girl says that they don't have the Bingsu or the waffle. I asked her if they are just brand new so they don't make them yet and she said no she stopped making them at 6:40 because they close in a while. I didn't feel like arguing saying I ordered at 6:40. So she refunded me for those two things. It took probably about a total of a half an hour to get the two drinks when there was nobody else waiting. The cotton candy literally disintegrated within three minutes as shown in the picture the second picture is literally three minutes later after I got it and it's prepackaged it's not fresh. The drink was not good at all it just tasted synthetic and it did not taste like cotton candy so I threw it away.
