They were very friendly and helpful, and answered all of my questions. They were able to get me an appointment within a week to have my documents verified. It was a little over an hour away from my home, but I would've driven 3 hours at that point. I read the Yelp reviews after I sent them back my documents, and got very worried, as our trip was coming up in about 4 days. His passport came as promised--2 days before our trip. This website scammed $500 from us. My wife wanted to get a 90-day Chinese visa for her study abroad coming up. She was supposed to leave on the morning of May 10, 2024. She already had a visa, but realized in mid April that the length of stay required a new visa. We looked up Passports and Visas on Google, and found a bunch of favorable reviews. They said they were detailed oriented. They said they got things done fast and on time. It was a lie to us. We overnighted the passport and documents to our case handler, "Meridyth G" on Wednesday, April 24th. They claimed they got it on Friday, April 26th. Then, radio silence. We bought the five-day service package for ~$500, so we figured it had already been submitted and we were just waiting to hear back from the embassy. We asked for an update, but didn't get a response until the Friday afternoon on May 3, 2024, where they told us they just submitted the application for 5 business day processing. No idea why it took so long and why they cut it so close, but we trusted the advertising, we trusted they knew what they were doing. Then, on Tuesday May 7, 2024, we get an automated email saying our application was rejected. It was apparently rejected because one of the pages missed my wife's last name, a technicality. We were also informed that the processing for our application began on Monday, not on the Friday they submitted it. In other words, even if the mistake wasn't made, the 5 business day processing wouldn't have finished until the day that my wife needed to leave with said passport to China. How they planned to teleport her passport from Washington D.C. to our home is now besides the point. We asked for a refund. After all, they claimed they did things fast, they claimed they had experience, but left us in the dark and did things down to the wire. We gave them $500 for a visa, they only gave us heartburn. When we asked for a refund, they had the audacity to turn around and blame my wife. They said that she was the one who missed the last name on the forms, but their advertising that they would double and triple check your documents to make sure they are ready. They said that she didn't send the documents to them in time, but their advertising says they do stuff fast and she overnighted the documents to them 2 whole weeks for a 5 business day service. The worst part is, we're glad to have made the mistake. They submitted her passport for 5 day business processing on Monday when they knew she was leaving Friday morning. If the embassy hadn't kicked it back on Tuesday and did the full 5-day processing, there was physically no way for them to get my wife her passport by 8 AM Friday morning. In March 2021, I requested a 15 day expedited passport renewal service in hopes that I would make my travel date 3 weeks ahead, since sending my paperwork in directly on my own was estimated to take 4-6 weeks. I went to their user friendly website where you can select standard (25 days) or expedited services (15 days). I thought, perfect! I need this for my trip in 3 weeks. So I immediately purchased the 15 day service online. Note that before you check out, they also try to upsell you by asking you if you would like to pay extra for a concierge service to have one designated individual assigned to your case. I opted not to get this additional service and just paid for the 15 day expedited service that was about $150. Within 24 hours of purchasing the service, I was assigned one person to liaise with for the duration of the engagement. Incidentally, I thought it was strange because they try to upsell you by saying they'll designate someone specific if you pay for it, but they did it anyway. This individual was polite and sent me branded emails letting me know the status of each step, which was packaged nice but I ended up doing 95% of the work. To begin, they asked me to FedEx them my expired passport, renewal form and photos that you fill out and then they mail them to the federal passport agency. After 10 days, I followed up about the status and asked if they thought I would get my passport in time. The response was "We'll try" and that my case was "in process". Six days before my trip, I email the representative and ask what next steps can be taken to help expedite my already expedited service request. I was given the number to call the fed passport agency and also a "tip" to contact my representatives to request support. So basically I hired this agency to do what I could have done at home on my own the whole time. "They're [representatives] very nice" is what I was told from Passports & Visas, with a link to find my rep. With no other obvious options, I immediately called my congressional representative and explained to the front desk that I was advised to contact them from the hired agency to help with my passport renewal. The congressional office immediately directed me to their website where I downloaded a privacy form that allows them to liaise directly with the federal agency on my behalf. With the help of my congressman, I was able to finally receive my passport the day before I left. I am so thankful for Congressperson office's support, not so much for Passports & Visas. Bottom line, Passports & Visas should be stopped for false advertising. Don't waste your money or time on hiring an agency like this. They don't have any special credentials to help you get your passport within the specific time they advertise. You're better off sending in your paperwork and calling your local Congressional Rep or Senator to help you should you need the extra support. read more

In fact, every customer service line keeps you on hold for 15 minutes and 30 seconds then disconnects when you are "number one in the cue" I finally did receive an email response from Justin S. saying he was "out of the office indefinitely" with no advice on next steps if he had your property! Turns out Justin S. and Bridgett who had something to do with the office flaked and left. All documents went to Adam A. in San Francisco. Guess what, Adam does not respond to phone or emails either. Passport did arrive back but nearly 10 days late. Also required that I send a notarized letter allowing their 'courier' to pick up the passport + an additional money order for the consulate fee. Was promised in writing that I would be refunded the consulate fee paid via credit card. Never happened. Main phone number now directs to an 'adult dancing service.' Emails bounce back. There is another phone number that phantoms on their website that directs you to a queue. Countdown always seems to start in the teens and when you get to #1, you are auto-disconnected. Have disputed charges with credit card. Even with this I am trying to be fair and only dispute the double paid consulate charges.But of course, nothing is simple given that the second charge was paid via a money order... so a lot of time wasted and leg work which is worth way less than my time but it's about principle. I'm so grateful to have received the recommendation from a family member to use this company. We planned a last minute trip with expired passports! My review is 5 star because passports and visas made it happen for us. That being said, the process was not perfect. In the beginning it almost felt as if we had been scammed because there was no communication. Every time I would call I would get a busy tone. I was beyond frustrated. I followed the tedious instructions provided. I almost gave up on calling the help line BUT I called once again and they answered! I don't understand what is going on! This is my first time applying for passport and have yet to get any assistance from a passport consultant. I have sent emails & tried being connected via the phones provided and no one answers. I get put in a cue and by the time it's my turn to get help the phone just beeps. They sent it to the wrong office, then no updates, no one answers the phone, the day of travel they said no one was available to process and get the Visa from Los Angeles. The website gives two phone numbers: one doesn't work; the other keeps you in a queue and lets you know as you move from customer number 15 down to customer number 1--then you're cut off: no one answers the phone. In addition, the website promises that you'll receive a phone call with further details about mailing in your application--no phone call arrives. You're also told you'll receive an email with a FedEx address to which your materials should be sent--no email. I had an overall good experience. They got my passport done in 3 days as advertised (well 3.5 I guess, since I gave them everything Monday morning and i got my passport on Thursday morning). Don't rely on getting your passport done in less than 3 days, though. Maybe it's possible, theoretically, but even if one of their offices is in your city, that doesn't mean THAT office will be able to do the passport. They prefer to communicate over e-mail which is fine and they ARE open to talking on the phone and working with you etc. If you're not an anxious mess like me you'll be fine - I just need lots of handholding when I'm anxious. but they're generally pretty responsive. Overall, they got me out of a tough situation rather smoothly, so no complaints really. read more
