    Spaghetti with grilled chicken

My wife and I stopped at Pasta Bowls and had one of the best quick pasta meals we've had in a long time. We split the spaghetti with meat sauce topped with grilled chicken, and it was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked pasta, rich and flavorful meat sauce, and tender grilled chicken on top. We both loved it and kept saying how awesome it was. It also came with a little piece of bread that was really good too. Best part? The food was ready right when we got there, hot and fresh. Great portion size for sharing, excellent taste, and super convenient. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend Pasta Bowls if you're craving quality Italian food done right.

The bean dip and chips are friggin excellent, we had the happy hour special my husband had the birria taco plate 2 tacos beans and rice, I had the fettuccini Alfredo. My husbands birria tacos were huge packed with meat that was excellent, when I looked at his beans I said those are canary beans from Peru they were cooked to perfection with an added touch of cilantro, the rice was cooked perfectly not mushy like so many restaurants. The service was the best we asked questions and the ladies were kind enough to indulge us, I am sending my husband to get me a breakfast burrito tomorrow. This happy hour dinner was $20 for both of our plates together and a drink. The waitress sent me home with a side of the bean dip and chips and a slice of cheesecake. The lady Suzanne that said the beans came out of a can definitely has never had Peruvian cannery beans, the beans are excellent, perhaps because I come from SoCal and my taste are very diverse I can definitely tell the difference between canned and fresh home cooked beans. I also make canary beans as my husband is Peruvian and I was surprised that this restaurant served them with birria which the flavors complimented each other.

Came to have breakfast while we waited for our truck tires checked nearby. Birria & grilled chicken breakfast burritos b1g1 for $1 (filled with eggs, hash browns, cheese & avocado). Hash browns give it a good crunch, made it really good. Also tried their free chips & dip. Place is really clean, good vibe with country music playing. Staff are nice & friendly. Will definitely come here again.

I went yesterday to Pasta Bowls on Calloway and Olive Dr. The restaurant was clean with a nice ambience. I was immediately greeted by a friendly person behind the counter asking how she could help me. I had ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Grilled Chicken. I also got a Birria Taco which I've never had before. I started with the taco. Wow. Even before I ate it, it was mouthwatering just to look at. It was love at first bite. The savory sauce that you dip your taco into was very complimentary. The meat inside was cooked perfectly. By the time I was done with the taco I was just about full. I decided to at least have a few bites of the Fettuccine Alfredo. I found the noodles were cooked just right. It was oozing with butter and Olive oil. The chicken was also cooked to perfection. The whole dish was something I would expect from a high end restaurant. I was very impressed. After the taco and a few bites of the Fettuccine Alfredo I was stuffed. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back soon.

I mentioned it to one of the female employees and she shrugged it off and said, "it's been like this for two years...," as if that's acceptable? A gentleman even walked in only to get a beer on a Thursday evening at 9:10 PM and she argued with him that they were closed. I had one beer and was SO disturbed about the service and attitude that we asked for our bill at 9:05, because they were closed after all, right? We've always come to this location, since our kids were younger and even order delivery often because we love the chicken, but honestly, the false advertisement and attitude towards our walking in at 8:45 from the female employee , (when the hours everywhere clearly state closing is at 10 PM,) we won't be coming here as our go-to pizza spot or late night night cap. The service has always been warm, cozy and welcoming, which is probably why this has quietly become one of my husband and my go-to spots when cooking at home feels like just a little too much effort. This establishment only has a drive-through or outdoor seating but it shares a parking lot with a Mexican restaurant and it was quite busy and I also did not have too much time so I decided to go through the drive-through I was a little confused about the drive-thru because there are two restaurants in one one is an Italian restaurant and one is a Mexican restaurant. I was wondering if I was in the correct line but you can order from either restaurant on either lane of the drive-thru. When I pulled up to the speaker, the menu is extremely extensive and overwhelming, but I knew that I wanted pasta, but I was very tempted by the Mexican food choices as well. I could not decide between trying the fettuccine or the pesto pasta I asked the lady at the speaker which one she preferred and she said why not get both since one is 1795 and for two it's $20. It only made logical sense to try both. I decided to try the fettuccine with shrimp and the pesto with chicken even though I prefer it without any protein, but it comes included so why not? After receiving my food, I found a parking spot and decided to try a little bit of each pasta. They were both piping hot, even too hot to hold, but also so fresh and delicious. They came with a white toast with some type of garlic butter smeared on one side. The toast was nothing special, but the pastas were delicious especially the fettuccine with the shrimp. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and I really enjoyed the pesto on the penny. They have a large selection of pastas so I definitely wanna bring my family so I can try more options and then come back and try their Mexican food as well. The place was very popular and the drive-thru had a very long line the whole time I was there kind of like In-N-Out. This speaks highly of the restaurant. The drive-thru attendance were very kind and helpful so I will definitely be back.

The drive thru was convenient and quick, but Olive Garden prices for pasta that I could get from a drive thru is wiiiild. I had heard such great things about Pasta Bowls, but the Cajun Chicken Penne was mid. The pasta tasted bland and dry. Some bites were somewhat more flavorful when I got more sauce on the penne, but it was still underwhelming. If I come back, I hope to try their other pastas for a better experience.

I chose your…read morerestaurant for my birthday dinner with a friend because I was hoping to enjoy a special evening. When we arrived, the hostess asked whether we were celebrating a special occasion. After I told her it was my birthday, she asked if I would like our server to know. I happily said yes because it was a special day. Unfortunately, the service and food did not meet our expectations. It took nearly 20 minutes to receive water and soda. Although bread was brought to the table, we had nothing to drink with it. My soup was cold, and my soda was overly syrupy and sweet. When our entrées arrived, I did not have a fork. Because our server never returned to check on us, getting one was unnecessarily difficult. My friend also wanted Parmesan cheese to add flavor to her pasta, but we eventually had to ask another waitress because our server did not come back. Our drinks were never refilled, and no one checked to see whether we were enjoying our meals or needed anything. What made the experience especially disappointing was that no one acknowledged my birthday, even though we heard other guests being celebrated at nearby tables. It also took a long time to receive our check, and by that point, the interaction felt rushed and forced, as though the staff simply wanted us to leave. I understand that restaurants can become busy and that an occasional delay may happen. However, the combination of slow and inattentive service, cold food, missing utensils, and the lack of any birthday acknowledgment made this a particularly disappointing way to spend my birthday. We genuinely miss the quality of the food and service we experienced at the previous location. I hope you will take this feedback seriously so that future guests--especially those choosing Frugatti's for a special occasion--receive the warm and attentive experience they expect.

We have been there without one before and loved sitting at the bar and eating. Anything with shrimp is great. All of their pastas are great. We loved their spaghetti and meat balls. Their vegetables are made right. They don't consider it something just to toss on your plate. They are al dente and so great. Their Linguini pasta with shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in a tomato basil marinara sauce is my favorite and they have the best salads and desserts. It is a must stop in Bakersfield. Modern Grub is really mindful about what they put in their food and what ultimately is put into our (us grubber's) bodies, that's a help that is much needed for myself.
