    Chicken Marsala
    Lindsay S.

This restaurant has large windows that they open to the street as well as covered outdoor seating that give an awesome view of the mountains. The vibe inside is cool and screams Italian restaurant. The staff is friendly and attentive. But honestly, the food is not good. I ordered the chicken marsala and it's nothing like any other marsala that I've eaten, but not in a good way. It's baked with peppers giving it a strong pepper flavor--zero mushroom or wine flavor. The "lightly breaded" chicken was pretty much all breading. The pasta was very al dente -- like tough pasta. Overall the quality is just not there. I also ordered a coke without checking the new price--soft drinks are $6!! Insane!

First time here and I am super impressed! Beautiful patio seating, along with a large indoor space. The food was exceptional and I highly recommend Jays Shells! Their caprese was delicious as well! The service of Kenzie was great and always helpful.

OUTSTANDING! In so many ways. We started with spinach artichoke dip and it was the best I have ever had! Then for entrees we got Brisket Mac N Cheese and Pasta Carolena. I chose to get my dish without an added protein and it was plenty! They give you WHOLE mushrooms and huge artichokes! The sauce is like no other! The Brisket Mac came with entire slabs of brisket on it and a delicious homemade cheese sauce. The bread with the entrees and the appetizer were both heavenly. I love the entire decor and atmosphere of the place, and the staff were all friendly and wearing their smiles through our whole visit! If you are in Boulder and looking for a nice spot for supper that is high quality without breaking the bank that is accompanied by a great experience- THIS IS YOUR SPOT. Check out their specials too!

Great weekday lunch experience. The entire restaurant was open to outdoors on a gorgeous September day. Food portions are large even for lunch. Service was good (and they weren't very busy). Will be going back for dinner.

Great menu that lets you try multiple different types of pasta. My dish bordered on burned. Friendly and fast service. Tables are very close together.

Very cute and cool ambiance! We came here for lunch during our trip to Boulder after a recommendation from a friend. My mouth is watering just thinking of the garlic bread and pasta with marinara sauce. Our waitress was kind and attentive. The outdoor patio seating was ample and they had heaters conveniently above us as the weather is starting to cool down. I love that the prices were affordable too after dining at a bougie restaurant the night before. All pasta lovers should add this place to their list!

Excellent food, great service and a really neat atmosphere. Waitress was on top of things but seemed to have a lot of tables which made service a little slow but it's a neat place to enjoy.

Food good Location cool Service at door, NOT good!! I was here for work, looked at this to try out! I love Italian food, I live in South Florida, and there's plenty of it Very cold outside stepped in the door and the Young way at the front door if you could sit on the table in the window. She said it's not available yet, but will let you know we'll get it ready for you. Eight minutes later noticed another couple going to sit at the table as the young lady what happened she could only apologize and say she made a mistake after us sitting there, and having a full blown conversation about having that specific seat because we wanna look outside while we eat to take in everything of this surroundings!! She should have moved the other patrons, sadly put us in a corner looking at stairs. Food: Garlic knots - soft and oily! Needs more cook time for little crunch. I LOOK for good knots! Chicken parm: decent with a small sweet sauce and spicer kick in the end. Our waitress was best part and understood the issue about our seating. Kindly offered us dessert on them. 7 score for food 8.5 our waitress! Great and on point!! 3 for the young lady who did not follow the seating rules for customers!

My family and I came here on a Saturday night around 5pm and were seated right away. By the time we left, people were waiting to be seated. The portions are so huge that we had some leftovers. I got the Georgio Bolognese and it was very delicious. The sauce was a little spicy which I wasn't expecting but good thing I like spicy foods. My brother got the Alfredo Williams. I tried it and thought the Alfredo was too rich. The chicken was nice and crispy. My mom got one of the Saturday specials, Seafood Cannelloni, and liked it. All of the pasta entrees come with garlic bread. It comes before the entree which I wasn't expecting. It was just ok. If you want extra garlic bread, it's $5. The water cups are so small, the waitress kept having to come back. At first, I was waiting for water for a while. We ordered some of the chocolate layered cake & tiramisu to go. They weren't that good and were expensive for the size of the dessert. The cake was dry. I would come back for the pasta if I were to visit the area again.

Visiting Boulder for a CU football game game, Pasta Jay's was recommended by some friends. If you get the right table near the window you'll get an amazing peekaboo view of the mountains, Awesome! Very friendly and attentive service for this quaint Italian pizza and past joint with reasonable prices and a variety of options. Caesar Salad was okay. The Seafood Stuffed Shells was an amazing special recommended by waitress. The Orgy Pizza was thin traditional crust with fresh toppings and really good as well. Baked Rigatoni was lackluster, a bit over cooked and could have had more cheeses and meat. The gelato from a gelato joint nearby was amazing. Overall we loved it.

    super cute festive dining area

We loved this place. Stumbled across this on Christmas Eve, straight out of a hallmark movie. Friendly staff. Great way to spend our evening. The beef rigatoni was very delightful. The ambiance is delightful, super vibe city in there.

One of her pizza slices is a good meal for me on a hot busy day. Her slices are the largest and freshest in town. We drove over in a few minutes, parked on the west side of the shopping center and walked around to her door on the east side, making a dessert stop at Sweet Cow North Boulder mandatory on the way back to the car. My veggie slice was fresh and full of great choices. Healthy, but still so very tasty with a good serving of her famous sauce to hold it all together. My husband had the Spicy Pig/Pepperoni, Sicilian crust. We both had bottled drinks which I greatly prefer to any soda machine. We ate outside on the shaded patio, perfect for afternoon or evening in summer. We have a favorite pizza order, a salad and dessert we almost always face. It's gotten to almost be joke status when I walk in. They know my order , it's so perfect I dare not change. There are so many toppings I cannot have, I always go with the basic B and a Caesar salad. The basic B is for basil, an herb I adore. So this is really a simple but tasty Margherita with classic char on the crust. If there is no char, it's not NY pizza. The salad balances it perfectly. My husband always gets the Telluride Redfish amber ale. Not easy to find in Boulder. Tonight I had the Stem Cider Off Dry because they did not have the Hibiscus or the Chile Guava in stock. But Stem is local and my favorite brand and Off Dry the most common at bars. After such a nice meal on almost a holiday. We topped it off with a house made cannoli. Prepped fresh at service time so it won't get soggy. We can come here every few weeks , no matter the weather and enjoy it every time. The view is great and there are always people out on the deck getting pictures with the Flatirons backdrop. So glad they built to maximize the view.

We went with the Lottie's Salsiccia, which had sausage, vodka sauce, and sweet and sour peppers. It had an interesting mix of sweet and savory flavors. We added anchovies to half of the pizza and that definitely added some saltiness to it. For drinks we had the aperol spritz and frose, which were refreshing. They have indoor and outdoor seats, though outdoor is limited so you may have to wait. The flavors of the pizza really came through well, but the crust was a bit too thick for my liking. They've got actual margarita pizza (that's not just a cheese pizza with tomato slices thrown on it like other places..) and really unique style pizzas if you're feeling adventurous. After leaving an event nearby, it was time for me to get acquainted with Pizza Colore! Slice shops are a dime a dozen nowadays. This place has a long counter with pizzas by the slice for your eyes to wonder upon. Very few seats near the front window and outside, but I believe there was more seating towards the back of the restaurant. I ordered an "East Coast" slice (their version of a supreme) and a cheese slice. After a few minutes, my order was ready. I loaded them up with grated cheese, red pepper flakes, and oregano. These were served piping hot, as any respectable slice shop should do. These slices were good! Practically no flop other than the first bite, crust was crispy and bready, and I felt like the toppings/cheese and sauce were balanced well. My main qualm was that it was missing salt in the dough and sauce. If it was seasoned throughout this would've been a great slice! However, the spicy ranch for dipping was clutch! Service was quick and friendly. Many people were popping in for a quick bite. I loved standing outside in the moderately cold weather scarfing down my hot slices, while watching the Saturday night crowd cruise by on Pearl Street. As close to an east coast experience as you can get in Colorado! I came in with little to low expectations, and left full and satisfied. Glad I finally gave them a shot. Prices were right and the product was respectable!
