Very disappointed with Rosemarie's recent quality of pizza. Have been eating their pizza for years and it was never this bad. I called the restaurant to tell them that their slices were too thin and they told me to call next time and ask them to make the crust a little thicker, and I said, it's not the crust, it's the whole pie. We celebrated my niece/Goddaughters Baptism here on June 22, 2025. The food was great. Everything we had was excellent. The staff was very attentive to us. We had Sophia as our server/bartender, and she was wonderful. The restaurant itself was very clean as well. I am giving 3 stars for the following reason: On one of the hottest days of the year, their A/C wasn't working. The thermostat in the restaurant was reading 85 degrees at one point and that was the temp inside the place. Imagine being served hot and heavy Italian food and eating it at that temperature. It's not easy and we ended up taking a lot of our food home. By the time we left, our faces were flushed, and we were so hot from sitting there in the heat. Even the carafes of ice water on the tables melted and the water was room temperature from the heat. If the restaurant reads this, you guys need better A/C. You can't expect people to sit and eat your food (heavy, cheesy Italian food at that) in that heat. If you're in the area and want to eat here, order the food to go. read more

Sad to say our all time Farmingdale Long Island favorite pizza joint Rosemarie's, seems to have hit a rut. We are up on the Island for a few weeks and we heard their pizza wasn't stellar any longer. We had to see for ourselves and we did unfortunately. I hate leaving anyone a two star review let alone my ole fav, but i believe it's warranted on their pizza alone in a very competitive market with the countries best pizza on almost each street corner. Their sauce surely looked and tasted like Tomato purée right out of the can. Added some pepper and garlic and it got better but... We did love the sliced Italian sausage on that pie. Too many places, IMHO, use ground sausage. Sliced length wise and thick is what we love and got tonight. Rosemaries dough preformed it's basic foundational function but that is all. Crust wasn't crisp, had no leopard spotting and was just plain boring. I have seen Rosemaries Pizza Rise to multi year glory over that past 10-15 years and now based on tonight's dinner and local reports a drastic fall. I will try and find time to grab another pie before I leave to be fair but for now I can't justify more than a 2. It's not uncommon to lose control of quality and taste in the pizza biz from time to time. I hope they will be back to their former pizza glory!!! read more

Went to dinner with a party of 7 adults and 2 kids We were the only ones dining on our side of the restaurant. We placed our order relatively quickly and waited over an hour for our food. We had 2 toddlers with us and asked for the kids food to come out first. The waitress told us multiple times it would be out in a minute and they had a large party on the other side. Long story short - our meals came out one at a time with a few mins in between each. The kids food came out LAST and they got the wrong pasta. When we told the waitress she was visually annoyed rolling her eyes. We were there for 2 hours without even getting dessert. So quick back story.... My current pizza shop changed ownership and we were looking for a new place. So we gave it a shot.... We ordered a chicken dish and a slice of pizza. Pizza was ok, but the chicken dish how do I start the sauce tasted like straight oil it was supposed to be white wine but for some reason it was almost red. the chicken was very chewy and tasted like it's been sitting around for weeks.I did call and they offered me my money back or something else to eat but I declined. It's sad that this restaurant's reviews are lowered because of reviews dated 3-5 years ago. Those reviews are not relevant to today's Rosemarie's! There is no "disappointment" here. The Pizza side is amazing, the restaurant side is amazing. The party rooms are amazing. The catering is my latest review since we just had a retirement party yesterday. Yelp should have a shelf life on older reviews. So... Our retirement party for one of our employees at our Massapequa Highway Department was for 60 people. For other employees that had retirement parties, I was not in charge of the food. This time I was, and I knew that I wanted restaurant food. I've been to Rosemarie's many times and went there to discuss catering. Gianna and I sat down at a quiet table in the middle room and looked over what I had picked out. She had her paperwork with her and amazing knowledge of the catering business. After two sentences, I knew that I should sit back and just listen. She really did know what I needed after just a few questions that I answered. If this was just about price, then I would say they gave me the greatest deal imaginable. It was about the food, the amount of food, the on time delivery. Everything that I asked, she said, "we supply that". My plan was to go shopping for other things like water, soda, a six-foot hero to add to the hot food, and much more. Gianna said, we have all that. On the day of the party, one week later, tons of food came in all by the recommendations of Gianna and also by the generosity of her boss. Yes, I got a fantastic deal. My only job was to buy ice. The party was a blast, the food was more than ample, Gianna's suggestions were right on target, so, I really did nothing, it was all Rosemarie's! Thank you, Thank you! The place is very tastefully decorated and it would be cool to dine-in here one day. Tale of the tape: Garlic Knots Medium sized, with a heavy, doughy chew. Unfortunately there is practically no garlic flavor present, barely even from the top where a few granules of garlic are located. Tastes like what it's made from - a twisted knot of pizza dough. Grandma alla Vodka Crust is thick, but has a crunch when heated properly, with a medium chew. The sauce, unfortunately, doesn't cover the entire surface of the slice, as there is no sauce under the cheese. The taste is merely creamy, with virtually no additional flavor. Absolutely distusting behavior. Tried to place an order 5 times on Christmas Eve. Girl gigling and placing me on hold, Called 5 x the same thing. The 4th time they told me they had an order put in for the wrong food. Then asked for a manager and again same thing. Manager wouldnt get on the phone We order from there all the time but the behavior of the employees on Christmas Eve was horrible. WE will never order from them again for anything. I cannot express my deep appreciation for Sean, Lenny and their team enough but I will try. First their food is splendid. Sauce is the essence of any Italian eatery and all of theirs are delicious. The food is beautifully prepared and presented. The restaurant itself is an elegant gem in a neighborhood shopping center - white table cloths in one room and casual pizzeria style dining in another. I grew up in Farmingale and moved away, but when needing a place to host my mother's 90th birthday, Sean was so easy to work with though I was time zones away. Flexible, accommodating and prompt to make me confident my party would be flawless. Circumstances happened and we had to "postpone" the party the morning of due to mom's health. I was treated with care and respect though I know especially in these times, when you've prepared for a large group, it is not easy to just say, "No problem." but that's what Sean did. I am so thankful. We will have that party when mom is better and we'll have it for sure at Rosemaries. read more

Our family enjoyed yet another amazing meal from Rosemaries! My meatball Parm hero was moist, saucy, cheesy and had an abundance of their terrific meatballs! My hubby had their cheese raviolis and they too were so delicious! Our daughter enjoyed a side of meatballs because she prefers to make herself Angel hair pasta with butter at home. The staff-members answering the phones are always kind and patient while I ask for special attention to my order like "please don't burn the bread on my meatball Parm hero, or plz make sure the cheese topping is melted" and if they hang up and say ugh about me then oh well. I never hear annoyance in their voices when they're helping me. We have met friends in their dining room several times for an early weekday dinner and it's quite lovely with soft lighting and classic white tablecloths. The servers treated us so well and once again- the food was fresh and hot and delicious! Orders are wrong, prices are crazy and food, not-so-great. Last visit: Ordered an eggplant parm hero, sauce on the side, pie and large caesar salad- pie was not so good, hero had about 3 slices of eggplant, was cold inside with burnt bread, salad was nothing more than some romaine lettuce and half a dozen croutons. AND, we were told 15 minutes- my husband waited another half-hour after getting there!!! The cost was $46+!!!!!!! Could have gotten the same order with a coupon @ Pizza Cove for $23. My parents got half meatball half sausage, and they said the crust was too soft door their liking and the topping placement was entirely uneven (some slices had nothing, other slices had "mounds," says my father). They were fine with it, but said they'll try somewhere else next time. I got the gluten-free personal pizza. Appropriate pricing for what you get, but the crust was very thin and crispy (if you like that sort of thing, which I don't--I probably would've liked the regular pizza crust my parents got if I could eat it). But the big thing about my crust was that it simply tasted stale/tough, even after reheating it in the microwave. They do practice plenty of appropriate COVID precautions, which is what gets them 3 instead of 2 stars in this review. read more

Love the combo dinners, my wife's go-to is Chicken Rosemarie. The penne a la Vodka with chicken is delicious. Can't go wrong with any of the salads. Meatball parmigiana is good too. Big fan of the half hero half salad combo. Not a fan of the pizza but if I must the Buffalo is good and the chicken parm slice was filling. Some people love their pizza I do not.
