Such a great family run, brick oven pizza place. Have been coming here for years and always have a great experience. The pizza is fantastic all around, can't go wrong with any pie. The shrimp pie is our new favorite. The burrata salad is a nice start, as is their meatballs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have an awesome, quant, outdoor dining area in the back, as well as indoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is so friendly and the owners are very nice people. This place is a must try if your looking for some awesome pizza. They also have a pork store attached which has some great BBQ options.

Brick oven pie. 12". Half plain half pepperoni. 10/10

Was looking to meet a friend for pizza. This spot was in between both of us and had a 5 star rating, so we checked it out. It's an Italian market and pizzeria/restaurant. This pizza was right up my alley. Typical Long island pizza is too doughy, no flavor to the sauce, and honestly it's all just average at best...add in letting it steam in the box for 15mins while it's getting delivered... Just take yourself to Saverio's and dine in. This brick oven pie was paper thin and crispy and just perfect, in my opinion. I will 100% be back here on a regular basis. The 3 beautiful ladies taking care of the dining room, I believe one was the owner, were all so nice and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a nice outdoor setup for the summer months too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pro Tip: They take cards but it's cash tips only.

Saverio's pizza is so incredible that I had to leave a review, and I rarely review pizzerias. The pies here taste like some of the ones from my 70s/80s childhood when Italian immigrants made most of the pies in my Mt Vernon/Yonkers neighborhood. Saverio's is a family-run business that has a wide variety of pizzas. The Speck pizza drizzled with some truffle oil on top is my favorite. The pizza here has a good sauce to cheese ratio with excellent char flavor on the crispy and fluffy crust. It is made in a brick oven that is wood fired. It is Neapolitan-style pizza that is made with fresh mozzarella and fresh tomato sauce. The middle of the crust is thin and floppy, but it still has good texture. Saverio's is the best pizza joint on Long Island, IMHO, not only because of the quality of the pizza, but also because of the friendly and professional staff. I will definitely be back to try more options.

10-30-24. Alina pizza. Eggplant, homemade ricotta, fresh mozzarella and honey drizzle. Excellent!

1-5-22. The pizza here is absolutely phenomenal. It's an old school coal fired oven that gives it a flavor that's somewhat comparable to New Haven style pizza. You can definitely taste the quality fresh ingredients. They have their standard pizza menu and always have a few specials available. The wait staff is great and are always willing to explain/suggest a pie if you're interested Long Island is full of awesome pizzerias, and this place is definitely one of them.

Looking for a local relaxed spot to land after her siblings and their significant others arrived from out of town, my daughter chose Saverio's for her birthday eve celebration. At first, a little taken aback when shown to our table in the pork store, but as the room filled with other families, it grew on us. A truly unique setting, sitting under the hanging provolones. Our group enjoyed bottles of white wine, for me a negroni. We started with antipasto for the table. Simple yet remarkable in flavor! Roasted red pepper, herbed cream cheese stuffed peppers, artichoke hearts, cracked green Sicilian olives, and the most delicious braided mozzarella. We had 5 pies in total, the classic margherita, fig arugula, the night's special spicy vodka burrata, and two of the Saporita pies, with fried eggplant and pesto! Among the best neapolitan style pizzas in the Northeast! No room for any dessert, but 3 of us finished with small pours of sweet citrusy limoncello.

Third time here and the food and pizza remains amazing. It's just an absolutely delicious experience......BUT..this was the first time, out of the three, that the service was not great. Our waitress was a bit cold. She also told us that fountain sodas were not refillable despite the fact that the last two times they were. She didn't seem to like my questioning her on this. BUT...if you read my first review I'd pretty much eat this pizza anywhere and I can live without the soda!

Ask the Community - Saverio's Authentic Pizza Napoletana

If u dine in on a night where depequas are not being made fresh will they still heat up a frozen one for you?

Unfortunately, we cannot. The frozen pies need to be heated in a deck oven and we do not have a pizza maker in that kitchen on other nights. We sell them frozen for you to enjoy at home. Maybe in the future we will be able to add more Depequa days!…

    Any gluten free pizza?

    No.

    What size are the pizzas?

We offer 12 inch pies - the size of a large dinner plate. All thin crust and 6 small slices!

What is the difference between the Margarita and the Margarita DOP?

Hi! The classic Margherita for $10 is made with imported tomato, homemade mozzarella and finished with grated pecorino Romano. The DOP is San Marzano tomato, and imported mozzarella di Buffala. It is the pizza that is typically made in Naples. Hope…

Do they have a known special must try pizza?

The Depequa! It is Saverio's version of a Detroit style deep dish. Call ahead to confirm availability as they do not offer it every day.

The place remains popular as it was quite busy for a weekday evening when I went in. Despite that, I ordered immediately, they move very quickly and the service was good + fast! According to one of the staff members, they're known for their buffalo chicken and bbq chicken slices. I ordered buffalo chicken, the Serra, and a regular pepperoni. The pepperoni was my favorite. The buffalo chicken slice was fairly decent considering I don't care for other buffalo chicken slices. It appeared to be popcorn chicken tossed in buffalo sauce and with a light drizzle of blue cheese dressing on top, so hard to mess up. Additionally the Serra was fine as well, possibly needing a boost in the flavors (or salt) since it was just sauce. It seems like a decent, casual place to sit in and grab a quick bite, they had some cocktails on the menu that looked interesting and I'll keep in mind for next time. Overall, I look forward to coming back and trying other items

Choose a side because we're in the middle of Long Island pizza wars! From the crust to the sauce, Rob Cervoni has the process down and rolled out his second location in Massapequa (These guys always have me traveling, I live on the damn north shore!) We could talk about Rob's accolades but in all honesty? All I want is good pizza. After the other day when I stopped by for lunch? My ranking order has changed, Taglio is now my #1 pick for 2026 on Long Island. The Massapequa spot is larger than Mineola, there's public parking in the back. Once inside, it's like Mammas Too in NYC with the crazy pizza toppings / flavor choices. A purest will say hot honey doesn't belong on pizza. Guess what? It's my money and my choice so add more honey and take my money! I told my brother in law about the new location, it was his first time trying Taglio and he flipped over the pizza. Taglio looks like a typical Long Island pizza spot that we all know and love. After tasting the pizza, from the New York thin crust, the cheese and sauce? This pizza is ready for battle. It's a place you would travel to, it's nothing like anything in Stony Brook where I live. (Rob, can you get on that? Stony Brook is a large college town and no good late night pizza spots) I knew bromade was used in fast food hamburger buns. Taglio pizza is using healthy Italian flour. In regard to the pizza wars? Rob, I have actual combat ribbons. Trust me, no one is better. Go to battle.

I see my friends mostly at wakes now and my ride fell down on me, so here in Jamaica i stand. For all who've not been, it is about the dirtiest, most germy place per square foot in NYCs transportation world. Its the kind of place I hope you'll never ever see in your life. Everybody's bumping into you and yelling about track changes, looking like a bunch of morons who think they're going somewhere important. Anyway, I ended up getting off at Massepequa and going to Leonardo's Pizza hoping they had a beer but they didn't, figures. First, I had the Italian Wedding Soup. It arrived looking like a drowned swamp with all those stringy, pale noodles swirling around in the broth like a bunch of white wigglers, similarto what i had for first lunchies. They were just sitting there next to these limp green leaves and the carrots were just floating in it. It's like the soup is trying to convince you it's healthy, but the whole thing just looks depressing. You take a bite, and it tastes, well, it tastes rather good, but the name is what really gets me. "Italian Wedding Soup." That's a odd name if I ever heard one. What does soup have to do with getting married? It just makes you think of a bunch of grandmothers crying and guys in rented tuxedos talking about their golf handicaps and portfolios. Plus I'm never getting married again, never ever - i learned my lesson. Then came the Detroit Slice. It sat there on a paper plate next to my copy of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, which was the only thing in my whole damn life that's keeping me company. Look at the edge of that crust--it's burnt to a crisp. Black as night, dark as spadesbut maybetgats how they do it on Long Island. The sauce is piled right down the middle like a thick red streak, covered in all these little dried oregano herbs I applied. I sat there eating this cheesy crusted square, staring at Mark Twain on the cover, and I swear it made me feel sad. Not because the book is terrible, it reminded me of my childhood, another complete disaster. The pizza actually had that crispy, cheesy edge going for it, I'll give them that, but because it felt lonely eating alone in public,vi never do that. Me, Samuel Clements and a thick slice of pizza on a cheap paper plate. Next time I'll be sure to eat out with someone fun.

Mikes Underground Pizza just slid into my Number One Spot for the best pizza on Long Island. There's a lot of quirks to piss people off to get at this pizza. My father in law in Florida wouldn't have the patience to pull off this caper. -Coming from the north shore to drive south, *1000 Montauk Hwy* on the Tesla Nav will not bring you to the location, I was at the hospital in Islip. You have to put West Babylon at the end -And it's *Cash ONLY*. Now that we have the pleasantries out of the way, let's continue with the review. The 14" Clam Pie is a game changer. I've waited on very long lines at Frank Pepe's in New Haven to get their clam Apizza. It's good but Mikes Pizza is far superior. Simple with freshly shucked clams, garlic and breadcrumbs, now add the crust that a comes from a true New York pizzaiolo who doesn't cut the pizza Connecticut style (like it came out of a slasher film) and now you have a competition pizza that Dave Portnoy would give a 9.4. The Vodka Round was equally impressive. The sauce was so complex, first bite I could tell it was a home run, out the box (see what I did there) a winner. Here's my issue, I drove from the North Shore to the South Shore to an abandoned bank parking lot to get at this pizza. I know the business model is working for you but it doesn't for the customers. I have a plan! Listen, I'm ready to retire. I'm thinking about the next few years driving on the Belt Parkway to Bay Ridge and it gives me night terrors. Let's do this together!
